Interesting name!
ReplyDeleteSo.. I am officially scared. I didn't recognize YHWH as 'Yahweh' at first but.. they keep doing the references. God Mode, Deus Ex Machina, YHWH..
ReplyDeleteGOD. Plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteI like it!
Wow!!! Now that is some word play.
ReplyDeleteJudgement Day is upon us - bow to your machine overlords...
ReplyDeleteThe season finale is episode #90 which means the 100th episode is the 10th episode of Season 5 the part of the season where things start getting intense (The Devil's Share &The Cold War) Another big trilogy for next season? Fingers crossed !
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed? What is this? The machines will not be pleased with this blasphemy. Adopt the proper binary sign. Or prepare to be exterminated.
ReplyDelete;) :)
It's been my theory for a while that the conflict against Samaritan will end with both machines merging as one which would lead to some interesting changes in Season 5.
ReplyDeleteERROR - SYSTEM FAILURE...Got a few bugs to work out ;) lol what a great day for POI - new ep tonight and this awesome news...cannot compute haha
ReplyDeleteSingularity is a pretty cool way to close a season...
ReplyDeleteBegin sequence: Format jtripper89 ;) :)
ReplyDeletethis title itself made me more excited about the show than a few previous episodes
ReplyDeleteNice Avatar lol
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to top the season 3 finale but I think they just managed to do just that.

I will protect you :P haha
Justin Baptista below mentioned the possibilities of both Machines merging. But to keep the added factor of conflict, they could try to include a 'Battle for Internal Control' aspect to the whole thing.
ReplyDeletePsychological War of Artificial Intelligences fought within. How can it get creepier than that....
Aw!! You will protect me? Like Samaritan did to that Pakistani guy who won the Nautilus challenge? Or like it protected Claire by not telling her and shooting her?
ReplyDeleteThanks, but no thanks. :)
The Machine and Samaritan becoming one big bad machinery

ReplyDeleteWait!! Is that a knock? ....................
Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the finale, but also it means no more episodes for four months.
ReplyDelete[Det. Fusco stands on opposite side of the door]
ReplyDeleteFusco: Someone in the area called in and reported they smell gas coming from here - everything okay?
*The stove starts clicking then stops*
[Reese stands at the stove after just turning it off and closing the oven]
Fusco: It's best if you remain calm, but it appears you pissed off the wrong people
Reese: [whispered] You're in grave danger - we have to get you out of right away
Fusco: Hey smooth operator, way to keep things calm...
They've had trilogies since season 2. And I have loved all of them. Next year's is no doubt gonna be awesome (especially with the 100th episode).
ReplyDeleteRandom thought: Season 2 had a trilogy. Season 3 had a trilogy. Season 4 had a tetralogy. Maybe season 5 will have a pentalogy.
See, I wasn't sure if Season 2 had one...I know they had an arc around that time where Reese got arrested along with the 2 other guys as the Man in the Suit and then Stanton kidnaps him and Agent Snow - but I don't remember it being promoted as a trilogy like this season and last season. I have a feeling that as the seasons go on tho that it will be less and less filler aka standalone episodes (tho I love them too)...It just seems hard for them to deviate from the central plots when their scope is so significant that even seemingly standalone eps will tie into the mythology in some way more and more. All thriller no filler as I remember them coining the last season of LOST (tho I can't say that was 100% true as much as I loved it lol)
ReplyDeleteTook me a minute to understand, because that looks very different in
ReplyDeleteHebrew. I mean, its not just letters, it's a name. The only thing I got
from this episode's name is the reference to the Jewish god which by
this name is being addressed as one and only. I think we can expect a
fight, and only one machine to survive it...
TETRAGRAMMATON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMe: " Back of you two!! I don't need you to save me. I need Shaw, the petite firecracker." "Please. Pretty please?"
ReplyDeleteReese and Fusco: * somber silence*
Me: No? Why not? Answer me!!! Where is she? Is she gone? Is she dead?
Life not worth living then.
* proceeds to jump out of the window*
You know, I wonder if it would be too sci-fi for Samaritan to try and create its own life form(thus evolving into a more godlike state), or at least something similar to Transcendence where the machine gives humans implants that ultimately gives them superhuman strength. Possibly a bit too sci-fi for this series, though.
ReplyDeleteKinda doubt that, simply because POI is so heavily relying on procedural episodes. Too much sci-fi will force in a heavy storytelling focus.
ReplyDeleteBut I could easily see Samaritan/Machine become a conciousness so self aware that it actually hides itself for season 5 and only delivers numbers from hiding
Reese: [Looking confused] Err..
ReplyDeleteFusco: I thought the dog was the only one that liked her...
[Root clears her throat behind the two]
Fusco: Oh I forgot about you Cocoa Puffs, make that leaves 2 in her fan club
Root: Hello, Lionel...[Holds out taser] Don't get too close - this isn't just another simulation...
Fusco: You're hot for me Cuckoo clock - just admit it...no one can resist the Fusco !
LOL
POI Season finales scary me and excite me all at once. Cant wait/
ReplyDelete@DebraFan and @jtripper89 you too should do your parody of POI lol. Best dialogues ever from both of you.
ReplyDelete"Shut up Lionel, this is not a simulation."
ReplyDeleteHaha I hear their voices as I read it and it reads perfectly - it's like when The Machine simulates their quick speak in If-Then-Else...
ReplyDeleteRoot: Overt come on
Shaw: Mildly embarrassed offensiveness
Root: Playfully witty sign off
Finch: Mr. Reese, have you located Ms. DebraFan?
ReplyDeleteReese: Um we've got a problem, Finch...
Finch: What do you mean - you lost our number?
Reese: Yea you could say that...
Finch: What happened?
Reese: To our number? Went right out the window...
Finch: And you had nothing to do with it?
Reese: Well...
Finch: I kind of find that hard to believe
Reese: Hey, Root's here, too
Finch: Well that explains everything...
Great story. Except for one thing. Change my gender to male and everything will be all right.
ReplyDeleteA fan of Debra Morgan - DebraFan. Sex: Male
:)
Holy crap lol my bad - the Debra part threw me off ! I though u had a woman crush on Shaw...these are different times we're living in and as they say on Seinfeld "not that there's anything wrong with that" haha I've seen u on here for a while and always made that assumption but u know what happens when u assume...lol
ReplyDeleteHas it been that heavy on procedural though, unlike everything else on CBS? Also, I'm not saying such an idea could exist for an entire season, but perhaps as a multi-episode arc towards a finale or something.
ReplyDeleteI hope is another fantastic finale like last season.
