I'm not sure how it works exactly but them taking the set down makes sense. Filming this in advance might be possible, we know they've done that a few times -> Finch youth flashbacks, unreleased Reese flashbacks.
Maybe they need the set for another episode or something changes and they can return? I could also see them shooting more in the library, like another flashback episode so it makes more sense to rebuild the set. A bit unlikely, but I don't want to rule it out. Just rebuilding for one episode seems like a stretch, so I guess it really is a) pre-shot or b) they'll need this set in the future
I'd I'd prefer it if they replayed the scene, and build it from there (like they did with the Stanton/Reese flashes in Ordos), as opposed to doing it with the MPOVs...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Well they could've set it up just for this episode.
ReplyDeleteThe library set was taken down while filming the S3 finale. Methinks these flashbacks were shot quite a while ago, and they're just using it now...
ReplyDeleteToo expensive to redo.
ReplyDeleteWe saw a flashback of Finch talking to a psychiatrist following Nathan's death in 3x10. They might be reusing that scene now.
ReplyDeleteFinally a flashback of Finch.
ReplyDeleteWhy 'finally'? Outside of The Cold War, every flashback we've had this season involved Finch. :)
ReplyDeleteThey could probably start it with the "Did You Know?" scene from God Mode, and build it from there.
ReplyDeleteThe Library set has been taken down. In its place, there exists Greer's work area with the Samaritan screen.
ReplyDeleteCould be both as an MPOV recap.

ReplyDelete4x11, Machine's flashback...
ReplyDeleteAhh thank you. I didn't know that :)
ReplyDeleteTrue, but he was just as involved :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I like his flashbacks, so I always want more.
ReplyDeleteFinch flashbacks have always been awesome. Hope the trend continues.
ReplyDeleteShallow note of the day: Wrenn Schmidt is one fine looking woman. :)
It depends. They may not show the entire library and only a corner. I don't think the episode will focus on Finch inside the library anyways.
ReplyDeleteThat's not shallow at all. Wrenn's stunning...
ReplyDeleteFusco dressed up as his favorite superhero
ReplyDeleteI scheduled some after hours sessions
