ReplyDeleteOOOOOOOOOOHHHH Please be James Frain! XD He would be extremely awesome opposite "Helena" in particular!
"as Sarah gleans they may have a mysterious defect that puts their lives in peril.",/i>
Yikes!! The second episode sounds REALLY REALLY GOOD! XD
More defects. Where's that quality clone craftsmanship? Everyone's in a rush, trying to be the one making that next new clone, and nobody pays attention to the little things - like things that can kill the clones.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else feel like all the clone health problems are on purpose? I mean, the fact that they can't get pregnant was on purpose. The Leda clones getting ill and the Castor clones having a defect could just be that making clones is a new science, and nobody's very good at it yet; but it could also be deliberate somehow.
Oooohh! No more press releases or really cool promos, I just can't take the wait.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if creepy boy clone will be able to hold up next to Tatiana: she set the bar really really high.
I think you're probably right. It makes sense for there to be a way to "control" the experiment should it not go to somebody's liking. A defect could in theory be in intentional back door (and it would be a good twist)
ReplyDeleteIt was the 80s. I wouldn't expect them to have perfected genetic manipulation. Plus, unintended consequences are part of any evil scientist plot.
ReplyDeleteThis is true. That's why I'm only going with maybe. It's perfectly possible that they screwed up making the clones. I'm just saying that for the Leda clones to have a disease that can kill them and the Castor clones having a defect that can kill them and those both seemingly cropping up around the same time ... I'm just saying, I wouldn't put it past any of the people who made the clones.
ReplyDeleteThanks. And like I said above, it's not certain, but I definitely wouldn't put it past the people who made the clones. They aren't the nicest.
ReplyDeleteI do think it is deliberate in both Leda and Castor series, with Sarah and Helena being the only ones that failed in being defective. Besides the infertility being designed, I think that Dr Duncan's cure for the clones exists because he studied the original genetic material, thus he could repair the tampered sequences.
ReplyDeleteLove that poster; still, a bit odd there is two Helena's so prominent.
ReplyDeleteInteresting theory. I never thought of that. It would be interesting to know why some clones get sick while others remain perfectly healthy.
