21 Mar 2015
MoviesOver on 4chan's comic board yesterday a user posted a series of summarized posts detailing the upcoming Fantastic Four film. While the post has since disappeared, another has been created with the information. For legal reasons SpoilerTV cannot post this information nor do we know of its authenticity. However if true, then in this admins opinion the film can only be described in one way:

Thanks Chris. Always suspected this was going to be a bad idea for a reboot :)
ReplyDeleteLmao, and a sequel already greenlit :P
ReplyDeleteThis is such an awful tease!
ReplyDeleteI'm really not happy with their decision to make a reboot but not happy with this article either!
I knew this reboot would suck...What is up with all the reboots these days?
ReplyDeleteIn the case of FF is about the studio (Fox) keeping the rights to the characters, if they do films after a certain number of years the rights would automatically go back to Marvel.
ReplyDeleteLack of imagination and that most things were done so far.
ReplyDeleteAlso comics are doing really great.
LMAO with your description. I google it and read everything. It seems like a tvseries made movies. A predictable plot but if it's made the right way it can be good.
ReplyDeleteI found funny that he mentioned teh X-Men but being in another universe, Everything would've been betetr if they could merge like the other Marvel Movies and this one is also produced by Fox this two X-men and F4 should be in the same... but whatever.
Yeah...it seems like FOX knows it's going to fail so when it does they can act like the FF don't exist (since they're in a different universe).
ReplyDeleteAny hint on where I can the posts to read for myself?
ReplyDeleteThis could be the best thing ever to ever happen in SpoilerTV JAJAJAJAJAJAJA
ReplyDeleteChris, today you win the internet my friend
ReplyDelete4chan, comics & cartoons board
ReplyDeleteI googled "the fantastic four 4chan" and read teh seventh entry.
ReplyDeleteIKR. Fox is like we fix this this way and also if by any chance the movie has a decent performance they can merge them by having Dr. Doom going into "The X-Men world" and trying to take over and so on.
ReplyDeleteI am going to hate watch this film and laugh at it afterwards.
ReplyDeleteEven though the trailer made the movie look better than I expected, I was so weary of and disinterested in this reboot from the get go, and this just information merely fuels that... but I do know I will watch it eventually...
ReplyDeletewon't we all? There's nothing that is more fun to watch than movies that take themselves too serious
ReplyDeleteAs long as FOX is in control of this franchise, they shouldn't be allowed to use the word "fantastic" in connection with these characters.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's another franchise ruined.
ReplyDeleteHow are Sue and Johnny related?
ReplyDeleteThey are adoptive siblings.
ReplyDeleteWas anyone expecting this to turn out good?
ReplyDeletethey are Dr. Franklin Storm's children they are adopted.
ReplyDeleteCool thanks.
ReplyDeletelmaooo
ReplyDeleteThat Picture, every time I hear about the new FF movie.
ReplyDeleteSame here.
ReplyDeleteyea when I heard this a week ago, I was like what ta actual fuck> do they not read fan reactions.
ReplyDeleteSame.
ReplyDelete"Amazing" Spiderman did the same with its title and it was far from amazing (well...amazingly shitty) as well
ReplyDeletebut truth be told....I did enjoy the first two for what they were, lighthearted but dumb superhero movies that didn't take themselves too serious (unlike the trailer for this one suggests).
Well, the first two aren't connected to this one. So it's not entirely ruined.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day FOX decides to continue the first two flicks with part 3 (didn't they throw Dr. Doom into the ocean and didn't deal with him again?) by getting back the old cast
It could probably be an okay movie if it had nothing to do with the Fantastic Four.
ReplyDeletePretty sure you're right and that's the reason why they did it like that. X-Men is a very succesful franchise for Fox and if Fantastic Four ends up being a flop while already connected to the X-Men cinematic universe they are kind of stuck with that version of the FF.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually pretty clever and (if FF performs decent) I can definitely see them bring the FF to the X-Men cinematic universe.
Pretty sure that's not going to happen, especially with Chris Evans now being Captain America.
ReplyDeleteI would definitly watch that movie though! I have a kind of soft spot for those two FF movies.
Let's face it: the only reason this movie was made was because Fox doesn't want to lose the rights to the characters.
ReplyDeleteI just had to look it all up myself and jesus....sounds like this could be one of the worst CBMs ever.
ReplyDeleteSo true and it just sucks! Because as much as I enjoy the first two movies (in that super campy-just-for-laughs kinda way) they have not handled the characters well at all!
ReplyDeleteI know, I just hate when companies just have to reboot a franchise. It's just so unnecessary, especially since the new one sounds terrible.
