Babineaux should really make up his mind. Last week he actively solicited Liv's help. Hell, he practically insisted. Now, this week when she offers help on her own he openly ridicules her. Stop being a dick, Clive.
He had no real leads last week and seemed desperate. This time Liv seems to be seeking him out and asking him to open a closed case. I get his resistance.
I dunno about that. He seemed pretty confident the entire time that the spouse did it. He was soliciting assistance to wrap the case up, not necessarily investigate it.
Well... he wasn't wrong, while she seemed adamant it wasn't the wife... maybe that's what's made him weary of Liv's "gift" this week?
I don't want him to be a useless cop. I feel it doesn't serve the story if she's the one who's always right while he's a deadbeat at his job, so maybe I am projecting a bit...
I'm sort of saying the opposite. Babineaux had a decent handle on things last week and wanted her assistance to (possibly) expedite closing out the case. This week Clive, in spite of Liv being repeatedly helpful, decides to mock her.
I think now that Babineaux is finally starting to close cases (which he was under pressure for not doing in the pilot) he's starting to be a bit more arrogant and dickish, possibly because of his success.
Hhhhmmm.... here's another theory then: as I said, from that sneak it sounds like Liv is trying to convince him to open a closed case because of one of her "hunches". And maybe he is reluctant to do not because he's being arrogant. but because he doesn't want to tarnish his good recent streak, and ends up being a bit mean about it in the process...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
that first sneak peek's not even iZombie and why does Clive keep doubting Liv
ReplyDeleteBecause objectively he's not wrong. He doesn't have the details of why Liv is the way she is, and anyone in their right mind should be skeptical.
ReplyDeleteAs for the first video: are you getting a baby stroller add too?
ReplyDeletei guess but she's been right in the past two episodes
ReplyDeleteyeah, i thought maybe it would turn creepy and show something from the episode but nope
ReplyDeleteHe's a cop. He needs physical proof and evidence. IMO it's good he's not taking everything she says at face value.

ReplyDeleteok when you put that way i guess it makes sense

Yeah I'm still getting it.

That seems more plausible than what I said. I'm going with you on this one.
