Robbie Kay, coming off playing the villainous Peter Pan on ABC’s Once Upon A Time, will co-star opposite Jack Coleman and Zachary Levi in NBC’s 13-episode event series Heroes Reborn. Like Levi, British-born Kay will play a new character, with Coleman reprising his role from the original series H.R.G. The event series comes from Heroes creator Tim Kring, who executive produces with James Middleton and Peter Elkoff. Matt Shalman is directing the opening episode.

Pan!!!!! that's cool, i wonder what he's playing: Hero or Villain
ReplyDeleteFINALLY! Some fresh casting news. WEEE!
ReplyDeleteHmm. I'm glad for Robbie to be getting more work as I think he has amazing talent -- but I wish it wasn't for this show. I don't have faith that Kring can possibly restart the series after royally screwing it over the first time. I'm undecided on whether I will even watch it.
ReplyDeleteI like him. This makes me wanna watch the show. I just hope it doesn't have to many ties to the Original show, cause I didn't watch the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm probably only tuning in as I was a fan of chuck. I'm sure casting will likely be the only reason a lot of people decide to watch it.
ReplyDeleteThis changes everything. Well, maybe not D:
ReplyDeleteI will still probably watch it since I watched all 4 seasons of Heroes no matter how suck it was.
Yay, another reason not to watch this series.
ReplyDeleteKay was terrible as Pan, his face was like silly putty. Classic overactor, why are they so beloved these days?
I think that is what they are banking on, yes.
ReplyDeletetrue that
ReplyDeletecool to have another Chuck fan
ReplyDeleteWasn't NBC's Peter Pan a girl?
ReplyDeletethey are referring to OUAT.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'll probably not watch, but I'm glad for Robbie. He was so great in OUaT, and he was probably the best thing in the not-so-good season 3A.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed him fairly as Pan till those last couple of episodes. Than the writing got a bit silly and messy and he did the best he could.
ReplyDeleteI think he was more than solid and with him it will mostly depend what type of role he'll get.
I hope a villain. He was fantastic as Pan!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I agree, I will keep an open mind and see. Maybe he will surprise us and do the unexpected :)
ReplyDeleteAwful choice, I hate that kid since he played Pan in OUAT.
ReplyDeleteHe was great as Pan and I liked him in On Stranger Tides POTC
ReplyDeleteIvan exactly how many shows u watch lol.
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean? LOL
ReplyDeleteyeah i can't argue with that, but i don't want him to you know be typecast
ReplyDeletelike not de-power the most powerful hero the show ever had?
ReplyDeleteEver show i go to read comments ur on it lol
ReplyDeleteoh LOL well yeah i guess i DO watch a lot of shows haha!
ReplyDeleteHe was excellent as Pan in OUAT, I never finished Heroes, as much as I did try, but I'll be checking this out.
ReplyDeletenor should you have, it was ruined
ReplyDeleteWhen this was announced I went back to try and finish but I just couldn't, I got to season 4 and was just so bored watching it at that point! I'm kind of looking forward to this though.
ReplyDeleteOUAT Pan was annoying, he was a pour mans Joffrey.
ReplyDeleteI hated him in OUAT. He was so annoying, but good at the same time.
ReplyDeleteA good casting choice. Excellent actor
ReplyDeleteLevi and Kay?! Now I feel like I should really watch the show although I've never watched Heroes!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool choice along with Zack Levi. It is shaping up to a interesting group of actors.
ReplyDeleteOh my bad.
ReplyDeleteyou think he won't ruin it? that he can actually fix the trainwreck the show was?
ReplyDeletenor should you, you should go in as a fresh viewer and not have a bad taste in your mouth after you see it
ReplyDeleteFor 13 episodes I think he can make it entertaining with the new cast but if it does go beyond that it will probably decline again. Although hopefully not as much as the original did.
ReplyDeleteI've heard Heroes WAS good but then went downhill towards the end...I'm just afraid that I might not understand some things going into the show as a new viewer
ReplyDeleteI think i'm in the minority who think he was terrible as Peter Pan-i hated him in OUAT.Another solid reason for me not watch this reboot.Sigh!
ReplyDeleteIt might a problem if the original main three were returning, but I doubt they will revisit any old stories since those three are gone. I would think they would want to stay away from the previous series as much as possible. i think they will try to wipe the slate clean completely for the most part. The most I would think would be references to what HRG has done in the past.
ReplyDeletereally enjoyed him on OUaT,and looking forward to seeing what he will play here.
ReplyDeleteyeah references will probably be made but they'd probably be pretty obscure for fans that saw the original series
ReplyDeleteGo watch the first season only and then pretend that the bad guy dies in the end :D the first season was so good!
ReplyDeleteI think they are aiming for new viewers. So you won't have a problem. Except for HRG there aren't any old characters as far as I know.
ReplyDeleteOMG I LOVE IT!!!! So happy for him!!! I so want Peter Pan to come back but fear he never will so anything new for Robbie is a definite Tune-In from me!
ReplyDeleteI hope he's a complex character. Not a hero, not a villain. Someone complicated. That you want to slap and hug at the same time.
