"I was afraid you'd kill me.(whimper, sniffle)". Ridiculous.
I have a suggestion to the writers: write more and interesting stories! If you need to fill the season with compelling drama; then write compelling drama! Don't come up with one idea and drag it out over five plus episodes.
Making Juliette a Hexenbiest is a great idea. It's a great plot twist. What's not great is that the mere fact of Nick finding out has taken (I've lost count) four episodes?! Its lazy and unnecessary. Its a waste of valuable air time. Time that can be better spent moving other plots along.
I want to disagree with you but you are kind of right, I mean maybe the main reason he didn't told him about her becoming a hexenbiest was more like she wanted to find a way to cure herself without worrying him, but her saying she was afraid that nick was going to kill her is dumb he doesn't kill because someone just because is wesen.
Its a deliberate technique used by what I will say are weak writers and approved by mediocre producers designed to do one thing: manufacture a pay off.
I use the word manufacture because it is designed to build up a longing or desire on the part of the audience and then provide them with a resolution. One hopefully that is satisfying.
The problem is when not done right or drawn out too long the end result can come across as thin or the audience (like us) can become cynical. You wait for the pay off and then... that's it?
Some examples:
Smallville's season long build up to the Doomsday/Clark battle. A 2 minute fight..yawn.
Once Upon a Time seems specifically designed to keep the Charming family apart for huge periods of time. This is so that the payoff is always the run across the street to embrace once they're back together again. Wash, rinse repeat.
the end results don't usually justify it on Grimm or its explications sometimes, as to why I can't really watch this show week to week on a regular basis. It's sort a binge watch type of show.
I don't know... with the way they have written Juliette's character I can definitely see her not saying anything..... to him for ep's and ep's and countless ep's
Argh. Nick is the last Grimm on Earth that would kill Juliette for what she's become. Not only does he care about her, he also has never killed a Wesen without good reason (being that if they were killing innocent people).
I agree. If she had said that she didn't tell him because she was worried that he wouldn't be attracted to her anymore, that would have made a lot more sense. Nick doesn't just kill Wesen. Adalind is a Hexenbiest and as much as he dislikes her, he still doesn't try to kill her (anymore), so why would he try to kill Juliette?
Not to mention it was only the last episode when Nick said something to the effect of "the world would be better off with one less hexenbiest." Juliette has every right to be worried.
Its obvious that Juliet thought Nick was going to kill her. When she was wesen she had stinky feet and nick hated stinky feet. Now shes a hexenbeist with abnormaly stinky feet obviously nick would kill her.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Great sneak peek.
ReplyDeleteNope. Her fear that He would kill him still makes no damn sense.

ReplyDeleteThat is mostly the main problem with the writers, as they like to drag things out for no reason.

ReplyDeleteLove ..love..love this sneak peak.....She told Renard, love this sexy ass man .Figure it out !!
ReplyDeleteI think Juliette being worried Nick would kill her is mostly because of Henrietta saying that it's a Grimm's natural instinct to kill Hexenbiests

ReplyDeleteAnd what about his blood? The way he made Adalind not Wessen anymore?
