Grimm - Bad Luck - Review

Grimm is back and as I previously reviewed, this episode is going to chance some things into Nick's world. The title itself, Bad Luck, may hint to major changes. Let's go back to the start. Nick and Hank investigate a murder victim with his foot cut off, and stumble onto a disturbing Wesen take on the "lucky rabbit’s foot." In an effort to help, Monroe and Rosalee go undercover. Meanwhile, the fallout from Adalind and Juliette’s showdown still has Nick reeling and sends him on a path that leads to Henrietta.

The episode starts right where we left. Nick confronts Juliette and her new status as Hexenbeist. What hurts most is the fact that she didn't tell him in the first place, but ran into Captain Renard for help instead. On the other hand, Juliette's move is pretty understandable: she was afraid her boyfriend could have killed her. Nick wants to be with her, despite what she has become, but Juliette wants him to confron t the truth: is he willing to spend the rest of his life kissing a monster? Disappointed, Nick decides he needs some time alone, so he leaves the house to make up his mind about Juliette's condition. I feel like fans will be between two side: his reaction is pretty rude. I men, after all they've been throught, Nick should be able to understand Juliette. Anyway, it's never easy to deal with the Grimm's world, especially when your girlfriend has turned into your worst enemy. It doesn't help the fact that Juliette seeks Renard's help, showing up at his doorstep for a place to say.

Nick turns to Henrietta for help and she tells him he needs to accept Juliette for what she is; she can't be fixed as she's Hexenbeist (and also Adalind's blood) in her. Either he accepts Juliette or kills her.

The case of the week gives Nick some spaces without thinking about his personal life for a while. When a young boy is found dead without one of his feet, Nick, Hank and Wu suspect there must be some Wesens behind this - in fact, they find out about a special clinic that helps people get pregnant by putting a Wesen's foot under their bed. To confirm the truth, Monroe and Rosalee go undercover - are they thinking about a child too? Thanks to their helps, the gang is able to catch the Wesen responsable for the feet stolen: it's a Leporem Venator, who appears with a huge ax on his hands. Nick and Hank manage to stop the last couple who were about to use some Wesen's foot, and later kill the Leporem Venator.

Speaking of Adalind, I think she's finally realizing (I guess!) all the trouble she's been caused. Her encounter with Sean Renard gives her a hint that Nick, in some ways, got his powers back. She tries to persuade Renard in order to have more information, but apparently she isn't so strong as Hexenbeist as Juliette! Then, she goes to see Henrietta, who reveals her the shocking news... she's pregnant (again). Since the last man she slept with was Nick... he may be the father. To be honest, I wonder how many weeks she's pregnant, since Adalind and Nick slept in season 3 finale, which aired last May. Unless time in Grimm is relative, like Einstein said.

If the writers want really go there, do we have to expect two different pairs? Adalind\Nick and Juliette\Renard?
