Empire - Season 2 - Common & Oprah to Guest

"Empire" has landed two mega-stars for Season 2! Lee Daniels revealed to Access Hollywood on Thursday that he's writing roles for both Oprah and Common. "Yes. Yeah. She's gonna be on it," he said of Lady O – who previously starred in "Lee Daniels' The Butler" – at a screening of "Empire" in Los Angeles. The "Empire" creator also confirmed that Golden Globe, Grammy and Oscar-winning singer Common would also be making a guest appearance.

    Hmm. Interesting. Wonder if Oprah will portray herself or someone else. I just started watching this show two days ago and am almost caught up already, it's not my thing on paper but damn if it's not addicting. I just hope Oprah plays some totally outrageous and crazy character that could rival Cookie. Now that would be awesome to see.

    If anyone is looking to catch up on "Empire" before the 2 hour finale on Wednesday .... tomorrow ( Saturday March 14th ) is your chance as FX is having a all day marathon ( first 10 episodes ) from 12 noon until 10 pm.
