Longtime recurring Matthew Rauch has been promoted to regular for the upcoming fourth season of Cinemax’s drama series Banshee. Rauch first appeared as Clay Burton in the January 2013 pilot and recurred in the role some two dozen times over the course of the first three seasons. He’ll now continue as Clay as a series regular. Described as quiet, but deadly, Clay is Kai Proctor’s multifaceted and deeply complicated bodyguard and right-hand man. Also joining the cast as a recurring is Casey LaBow (The Twilight Saga; Breaking Dawn, Parts 1 and 2). She will play Maggie, wife to a local leader of the Aryan Brotherhood, who desperately wants a better life for her and her son. LaBow is repped by Vanguard Management.

Finally! Burton is awesome, and he's been as close to a regular as you can get for a while now. Hopefully this means we get more backstory on him and of course - more badass Burton moments!
ReplyDeleteI always thought he was a regular...glad about this as I live for his scenes!!!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! Burton deserve the honor of being a regular. Hope he is the last man standing. :)
ReplyDeleteHmm. Wife and son of local Brotherhood leader - this is definitely the family of Bunker's brother.
Quick Ques: Any idea about Meaghan Rath? Will she continue to be on the show or was it a one season role?
That's what I've been wondering. I guess with Raven still about there could be some ties to the Res still? Unless this explosive start to S4 involves the Brotherhood nabbing him and having some kind of sick payback for the Hondo season opener this year, lol.
ReplyDelete"Hope he is the last man standing"
ReplyDeleteI don't think anything could kill Burton
I didn't think anything could kill Chayton, then he got shot in the face point-blank with a shotgun and it seemed to do the trick.
ReplyDeleteI really want Aimee to be back, show lost one tough girl this season (Nola) and deputy King looks very tough. Also I really would love to see Meaghan Rath in some action scene.
ReplyDeletePlus there is one thing I still think about - why Alison was promoted to series regular for season 3 when she was only in 4 episodes - I know she have one big character development in episode 5 but at the same time in episode 6 she was only for something about 1 minutes). I have nothing agains her or actress (what more I like them both) but truth be told even Meaghan Rath's Aimee King was in more episodes (5).
And about Matthew - I was waiting for that information since the middle of second season.
Does anyone know if this is supposed to be the final season? I've heard people saying that because it's only eight episodes that means Cinemax is cancelling it. Hopefully not, it feels like the show only just started!
ReplyDeleteIt's not the final season - if it would be they (Cinemax/HBO) would say it in official press release, just like they did 2 years ago with Strike Back.
ReplyDeleteI have assumed that they tied Alison to the show because they knew they were losing Gordon, and therefore wanted her already in place so that she could slip in to his professional shoes, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteIt is about time Matthew was made a regular, I'm very happy about that news.
