Banshee - Even God Doesn’t Know What to Make of You - Advance Preview + Dialogue Teasers
Mar 6, 2015
Banshee Reviews SSThings have not been going well for Proctor since he and Emily were snatched away from under his father nose last week. He’s never one to be beaten into submission easily though, either metaphorically or literally, so it should come as no surprise that he is faring better than Brock’s ex-wife. In fact, it could be said that he starts to see things from a slightly different perspective after spending some personal time with Frazier (Ron Cephas Jones) and the Black Beards.
Hood is back from NOLA, still unsure of what the future holds for him and has to face Job who’s not in the mood to forgive or forget his actions during the heist. As one tends to find themselves doing in these situations, Lucas starts to reminisce about their past as it’s a hell of a lot easier to deal with than the present. Getting to see how they originally met and what made them become such close friends is something I have been longing to know, so this episode is a real treat in that regard. Young Job is not quite the cool cat that we know him to be today and thankfully his sense of style has improved over the years as his grunge duds and hair will attest to!
Stowe knows that it took four people to break into the safe and steal the six million dollars from Camp Genoa. We saw him starting to piece together how his identity was stolen last week, which could be very bad news for Carrie. This week his technical wizard, Leo (Dennis Flanagan), hits upon an extraordinary lucky break while investigating who else could be involved. It’s starting to look like the crew should have paid more attention to Job’s bad feelings about the robbery after all. But it’s too late now. The Colonel is able to add to the list of suspects he should be looking at and gives his team orders to start bringing them in.
Finally we get to delve a little into Bunker’s life after a few weeks of him being in the background. It appears as though he has a mission in mind and he now starts to put things in motion, which shows us a very different side to the mild and polite man we have seen so far. Townsfolk are still wary of him - seeing the tattoos first rather than the uniform - and who could blame them. Brock has worked through his initial distrust of him however, although we only get one brief scene between them this week there is a definite sense of mentorship there already.
Even God Doesn’t Know What to Make of You airs Friday March 6 at 10:00 ET/PT on Cinemax. Don’t forget to come back and vote in our poll after the episode and let us know what you thought.
Among teasers this week are some spoken by characters who are on the current Death Poll and don’t die by the end of the season. If the quotes are guessed correctly by Friday afternoon I will eliminate that name from the current poll, and then set up the new one. You can each have two guesses at each quote (please don’t just list every name in the cast).
UPDATE 1: Frazier & Leo aren't on the poll so don't count. Coming off the poll so far, and therefore SAFE and don't die are: Proctor, Brock, Bunker, Hood & Sugar.
There is one more name to join them. Think carefully before you add your guesses, you only have two goes each!
UPDATE 2: Some of missing names have been filled in, but we still don't have the one speaker who could be potentially crossed off the poll. As a hint, have a read of the press release, it may help to give you a clue about who it could be.
UPDATE 3: The missing name has been correctly guessed, it is Deva. So she will be joining the others in being removed from the poll later on this afternoon when the new one goes up.
“They were going to burn me” Proctor to Burton & Rebecca
“Open your eyes! Do you understand you are shacking up with a fucking psychopath!” Brock to Emily
“You tell my brother I’ll be seeing him real soon” Bunker to Brotherhood member
“Where is your wife?” Hood to Gordon
“You must have known how I’d react to a betrayal of this magnitude?” Frazier to Proctor
“If I’m right, he’s THE hacker. CIA has been chasing their tails for years trying to find this guy” Leo to Stowe
“That’s great. So, are we OK?” Hood to Job
“I have put my ass on the line for you more than once, alright, now I’m asking you. Please?” Brock to Hood
“I need to talk to the sheriff. You don’t understand, he knows me.” Deva to Raven
“Welcome home. Everything get resolved down south? Sugar to Hood

Hard to believe that the finale is nearly here, this season has whizzed by! It's a great couple of episodes to end the season on though :)
ReplyDeleteIf Bunker turns out to be anything but the reformed really hawt, unfortunately tatted, great guy I really want him to be, I will be crushed.
ReplyDeleteHe's certainly hawt in a particular scene this week ;)
ReplyDeleteAnother great preview, thanks Sandi! I'm guessing it's somehow short for not to revealing too much and because episode is only 44 minutes long - and judging by trailer it have to be non-stop action, right? Little question: how much of Rebecca is in this episode?
ReplyDelete“They were going to burn me” - Proctor? (judging by his scenes from trailer)
“Open your eyes! Do you understand you are shacking up with a fucking psychopath!” - Brock (to Emily)?
“You tell my brother I’ll be seeing him real soon” - Kurt Bunker?
“Where is your wife?” someone to Gordon?
“You must have known how I’d react to a betrayal of this magnitude?” Either Stowe to Carrie or Frazier to Kai
“If I’m right, he’s THE hacker. CIA has been chasing their tails for years trying to find this guy” - Leo?
“That’s great. So, are we OK?” - Hood?
“I have put my ass on the line for you more than once, alright, now I’m asking you. Please?” - Job? or Brock?
“I need to talk to the sheriff. You don’t understand, he knows me.” - Job?
“Welcome home. Everything get resolved down south? - Sugar? (or Job, but i'm counting for Sugar)
“They were going to burn me” - Brock's wife

Yes!
ReplyDelete"They were going to burn me"-Proctor
ReplyDelete"Welcome home. Everything get resolved down south?"-Billy Raven? Kurt Bunker?
I like your predictions.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to more scenes with Bunker, he seems like such an interesting character. And a flashback of Hood and Job ..... a dream come true. Can´t wait!!!
ReplyDeleteHey there VQ :) Yeah, as we get to the finale it's harder to do previews as I don't want to spoil anything too much. The Proctor side of the story especially, you need to see played out without too much being said I think, Ulrich Thomsen is just understated brilliance this week imo! Rebecca has a few scenes too, with Burton & Hood, before she goes to rescue her uncle.
ReplyDeleteYou have seven of the speakers correct. I'll fill in the correct answers in a few minutes.
You have four of the speakers correct, will fill them in shortly :)
ReplyDeleteOne of those is correct, will fill it in shortly :)
ReplyDeleteBunker is very interesting I think. I was struck by him from the off, but by the end of the season I was stunned at just how good he is as an actor and character! The flashbacks are great, informative and amusing....just keep an ear out for what they are talking about, it will be very important!
ReplyDeleteUlrich Thomsen is the best thing about this episode though!
1. “They were going to burn me”
ReplyDeleteProctor

Rebecca has a few scenes with Burton & Hood. Oh please tell me one scene is with Burton & Hood teamed up ... that would be crazy good!
ReplyDelete"Where is your Wife?" - Job to Gordon
ReplyDelete"They were going to burn me" - Proctor to Burton or Rebecca
ReplyDeleteFilling in the cracks...so nervous about Job. Though, really, after Siobhan, if Job goes there goes the remaining show audience!
ReplyDelete4. “Where is your wife?”- Hood to Gordon
9. “I need to talk to the sheriff. You don’t understand, he knows me.” - Job to Brock, Bunker or Alma (Is Billy Raven even around anymore?)
I'm afraid not, they are separate scenes, sorry to be confusing there, lol.
ReplyDeleteYou have seven of the speakers right :) Gonna do another update in a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteBut you have to admit. Burton & Hood in action together. Make it happen Producers! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandi:) Please tell me Rebecca will have a lot scenes in finale episode and I mean like half of episode will be about her, haha ;)
ReplyDeleteCool. Got one. And in #3 is Bunker talking to Sharp? (Had to dig out S2 "Evil for Evil" for that name.) LOL re. Raven. Poor Billy. He and Max must be hanging out, playing video games., missing all the real action.
ReplyDeleteThe last speaker: Deva to an arresting officer. (Brock, Bunker, Raven?)
ReplyDeleteYep, correct. It's Deva :)
ReplyDeleteI'll give you the Bunker one, he is talking to someone from the Brotherhood :)
ReplyDeleteHaha yes, I'm surprised he's back at all after that arrow to the chest really. He even manages to sprint after someone, not bad going I guess.
Lol. I don't have the episode on me atm - I'm out at a mate's on a borrowed machine. She's not hugely prominent from what I recall though, but there's a LOT going on in the finale, lol.
ReplyDeleteLol yeah, now's there's a fight I'd like to see. Two very different styles, it would be interesting to see who had the upper hand. My guess is it would end in one dead, or it would have to be interrupted pretty early on though, lol
ReplyDeleteLet's just say, he likes to strip down to his sweat pants and some lift weights when he's feeling some pent up rage ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha thanks, that "a LOT" sounds interesting:)
ReplyDeleteGreat preview Sandi. This is such an amazing episode. So much great set-up for the finale.
ReplyDeleteSo Job is not off the death list. In the previews he is still mad at Hood and thinks again it's time to split. Let us hope that Job is just on his period and he forgives his best friend once they reminisce over the old times. AND HE BETTER NOT DIE!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome buddy. As a quick teaser, one of my favourite scenes has a very sharp sword in it ;)
ReplyDeleteCheers Bradley. Yep, this is my favourite finale yet I think :)
ReplyDeleteSounds cool.
ReplyDeleteIs in this scene one cutted off hand holding Uzi?
