Arthur Darvill, who played a companion to the Doctor in BBC’s Doctor Who, is in final negotiations to join the cast of WB’s untitled DC Arrow/Flash spinoff show.
The series’ cast already includes Brandon Routh as incredible shrinking hero The Atom (aka Ray Palmer), Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory, and Victor Garber as Prof. Martin Stein among others.
Darvill will play a character titled the Traveler, a cocksure time-hopping adventurer. There was speculation the hero could be time-jumping hero Booster Gold but The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the character is Rip Hunter, one of DC’s classic heroes created back in 1959 and was a leader of a time-traveling group.

YES!! I have wanted him to be on another TV show (besides Broadchurch) for a while now :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for the Doctor Who alums (especially David Tennant joining AKA Jessica Jones!!)
Loving the casting for this unnamed show :)
A cocksure time-hopping adventurer? Sounds more like John Barrowman to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd he here we go continues !!
ReplyDeleteso from one time traveler show to playing a time traveler
ReplyDeleteguess we need him to guest star on that show now, any reason Merlyn would throw himself at that new team?
ReplyDeleteSo he'll play the lesser known equivalent to Booster Gold?
ReplyDeleteeasy explaination: DC has some bigger plans for Booster Gold
Woohoo! I knew it would be Rip Hunter!
ReplyDeleteSo Arya Stark is going to be on Doctor Who, and now Rory Pond is going to be on the new superhero show? Someone's been reading my nerd dream journal.
ReplyDeleteAnd the randomness continues. I'm officially crossing my fingers for Ambush Bug now.
ReplyDeleteThey've been trying to shop a Booster Gold show around for a while, Syfy sat on it for like 4 years before passing on it (probably for Krypton).
ReplyDeleteRory !!!!!
ReplyDeletei thought the Doctor only had FEMALE companions
ReplyDeleteI believe one of the DC character in the spinoff is black american
ReplyDeleteSo great to see Arthur Darvill again and I'm really loving everything about this spinoff so far.
ReplyDeleteis he reliable or is he like Booster Gold?
ReplyDeleteMake it happen. They look at each other as if to say something but then don't.
ReplyDeleteI like Arthur Darvil, should be interesting to see him play a character with a bit more swash and buckle than his previous roles on Doctor Who and Broadchurch.
ReplyDeleteso maybe it IS a Green Lantern
ReplyDeleteNope there have been several guys over the years as well.
ReplyDeletehuh cool
ReplyDeleteso it IS Rip Hunter, cool a time traveling hero
ReplyDeleteanything about him I should know.....what can he do beside travel through time
ReplyDeleteRory!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2015/03/arrowflash-spin-off-casting.html
ReplyDeleteNow that we have “THE TRAVELER” and “FEMALE WARRIOR” cast I guess the “MYSTERY HERO” is next !
Matter Eater Lad and Rainbow Archer are a MUST now!
ReplyDeleteSo far the cast it's: The Atom(Brandon Routh), Hawkgirl(Ciara Renee), Rip Hunter(Arthur Darvill) and Sara Lance(Caity Lotz).
ReplyDeleteWe still have one left who i belive is Static. It's a really weird group... Like super weird... I'm curious about the dynamic and the story these very different characters will have. I'm hooked!
But i would have loved a fleshed out, stand alone, Atom spin-off better and not this team-up show...
He uses technology. He's had multiple origins but the 2 that generally stand out are his earliest where he was a scientist that developed Time Travel. Or a later origin where he was recruited by Time Traveling Police (The Linear Men).
ReplyDeletehe actually had 3 male companions in the 2005 show. One of them was John Barrowmans DW character (wich is why the guy is so popular)
ReplyDeleteWe have two former male companions in this universe now, wonder how long it'll take them to cast Noel Clarke
Well, Rip Hunter is Booster Gold's son.
ReplyDeleteit not random......it a bunch of unlikely heroes joining force to fight a evil out there
ReplyDeleterandom in terms of not a previously used team, usually we have pretty clear teams. This is a completely random team
ReplyDeleteYou missed Firestom 0.5 :P
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking that a show with a different batch of heroes teaming up each episode for a new crisis would be awesome. With none of them as regulars and complete random team-ups
this is...weird though
He can be cruel and dark. He's generally portrayed more like a scientist using his genius to solve problems with technology. Oh and he's Booster Gold's son from a later timeline.
ReplyDeleteI know, makes it even weirder that they didn't use the real deal
ReplyDeleteDon't know who rip hunter is but still looking forward to this especially after hawkgirl. Don't care who else is cast lol.
ReplyDeleteProbably so they can have Rip Hunter meet Booster Gold.
ReplyDeleteRip Hunter is Booster Gold's son from a later timeline.
I'm still fixed on an idea that it's "one episode for one character" kinda thing. Something to do while they work on The Atom spin-off.
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely Matter Eater Lad if only for the sight gags.
ReplyDeleteYeah, would've been interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm still not sure about Caity Lotz, she was never a good actress but I liked Sara. However her death fueled season 3. Making that "unhappen" now and go back to things as they were wouldn't even be counter productive, it'd be showing the show your middle-finger
Don't forget abou Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory aka Heat Wave, and Victor Garber as Prof. Martin Stein aka one half of Firestorm.
ReplyDeleteWARNING: DC takeover is happening.
ReplyDeleteOversaturating the market? No such thing brah :P
ReplyDeleteor your worst nightmare could happen and Charles Michael Davis could be cast ( after he dies as Marcel come seasons end of The Originals ) as the “MYSTERY HERO”.
ReplyDelete( An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations. )
I would love for her to be cast!! But she recently joined an HBO pilot 'The Devil You Know', if it doesn't get picked up I'd love for her to join :) But then again she's with Marvel (Nebula) so I don't know...
ReplyDeleteIt would be a total Bobby in the Shower moment.
ReplyDeleteI have the very unpopular opinion this mid-season show will be something like this:
ReplyDelete1x01 - The Atom fighting a villain in Ivy Town.
1x02 - Sara's flashbacks from where she joined the League.
1x03 - Captain Cold and Heatwave's backstory.
1x04 - A Firestorm story, maybe fighting a villain in Midway(Maybe making Ronnie fuse with Jason so they can leave Garber, who's a very expensive actor i would asume).
1x05 - A Hawkgirl episode to expand the universe.
1x06 - Rip Hunter traveling in time to different timelines.
You know, stand alone episodes... Then in the fall we will get Flash, Arrow and The Atom. You don't make a spin-off in less than a year... Flash was planned when Arrow launched according to the EPs. They need time to make Ray's universe cool, because the CGI was really good in episode 3x17 of Arrow.
...I want them to give us a musical episode now.
ReplyDeleteWB should see if they can get permission from Hasbro to use Jem from Jem and the Holograms. Then we can get a big musical episode to air on April Fools next year :D
I was talking about the heroes only and half of Firestorm doesn't makes the list imho LOL
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest here: it might be for the best if that happens.
ReplyDeleteSuperheroes barely need you to act your heart out, Marcel had some pretty heavy material in season 1 and he didn't sell. It's pretty telling given that he's showing up less this season and is more bearable.
He might do well but I don't see Marcel biting it anytime soon
We could make it worse by showing this to Julie Plec
ReplyDeletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%E2%80%A6Vampire
well...I'd totally take a Sara in the shower moment though
ReplyDeleteoh that's pretty cool
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteplease NO Static Shock, i HATE him. Who's black lighting?
ReplyDeleteIt would really REALLY cause Klaus to HATE Dahlia as she has killed one of Klaus's children as well as ratchet up Hope's safe issues if big brother Marcel was to bite it.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah that's true
ReplyDeleteIsn't she already hellbent to turn Vampire Academy into a show? I think she might have her hands full with work already :P
ReplyDeleteBut isn't the TVD/TO univers now officially part of DarkHorse comics?
That's a slippery slope though. Pretty soon someone will be suggesting that they bring on Neil Patrick Harris to do a live action version of the "Mayhem of the Music Meister!" episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
ReplyDeletei thought Barrowman was a leader of his own team and just teamed up with the Doctor a couple of times
ReplyDeletegood theory but I'm not sure DC would approve doing a show told as an anthology.
ReplyDeleteThe only explaination I've got for Caity would be her being the teams new interface.
he started out as a rogue time-traveller who met and joined the Doctor, then was left behind in the season 1 finale and ultimately got his spin-off.
ReplyDeleteThe teams only teamed-up once in the season 4 finale, otherwise Jack was a companion
JARVIS style? not to cross over universes
ReplyDeleteI probably have to explain that one to you young uns'
ReplyDeleteIt refers to 80's show 'Dallas' and how the character of Bobby Ewing (played by Patric Duffy) was killed of because the actor wanted to pursue other opportunities. Bobby was a popular character though and ratings started dropping as well as Patric Duffy's career not working out like he thought. So for season 9 the character of his wife wakes up to find him showering and the entire previous season (all 31 episodes) since his death had just been a dream.
Given that Klaus was about to kill Marcel multiple times last season I wouldn't count on that :P
ReplyDeleteoh huh cool, and left behind?! that's mean
ReplyDeleteI believe TVD/TO is part of DC comics now. They publish the comic.
ReplyDeleteShe'd probably have an easier time getting I, Vampire since she's with WB already. I'm not sure who owns the rights to Vampire Academy.
it's his version of tough love LOL
ReplyDeleteoh Bruce, that though is ABSURD.......they could never afford NPH (poor punchline, I know but I didn't have anything better)
ReplyDelete"I love you, thus I shall dagger you"
ReplyDeleteI'm still a bit weirded out by the way Elijah treated Marcel now with knowing how he cared for Marcel. If that's Elijahs way of caring for someone Hope might be in big trouble, if both Daddy and Uncle are monsters...
A theory I posted in the Hawkgirl post involved time travel resurrecting her.
ReplyDeletePretty much Rip Hunter pulls her into the future (the time when the show is set) a little before her death so she can help take on whatever foe they are facing.
However to keep the timestream intact, Rip Hunter is going to have to return Sara eventually to die.
He was turned immortal in the final scene and the doctor specifically runs from fixed points in time (since immortals are always going to exist Jack was such a fixed point) so he left him
ReplyDeleteYou should really watch DW ivan, it's pretty damn great
As if the grin on my geeky face couldn't get any bigger :p :D
ReplyDeletethen screw the timestream and leave Sara alive, the world needs her
ReplyDeleteI know what you ment, I'm still grossed out by Bobbys back but I wouldn't mind Sara in such a position ;)
ReplyDeletePlus Patrick Duffy profited from his return for quite a while given the reboot running for a respectable ammount of 3 seasons
Doctor 11 right?
ReplyDeleteJefferson Pierce, a vigilante able to generate and control lightning. His niece Joanna already appeared on Arrow as Laurel's CNRI friend in season 1. At least in the Arrow universe Oliver did not cheat with her and got her killed.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't wait to see Klaus and Elijah show up in Hellblazer.....oh my god.....if Constantine does indeed get a second life on TNT/SyFy or somewhere else....the crossover potential :D
ReplyDeleteVampire Academy is owned by the Weinsteins and given the movie not even breaking even at the BO it's pretty likely that they can get that franchise for a buck
Solid idea as long as it doesen't sabotage the dramatic effect it had on Arrow.
ReplyDeleteDeath has to have a meaning, ressurection is defeating the purpose and is mostly a cheap ploy to bring back fan favourites
what? Joanna's his niece? so it HAS to be him right?! mean but accurate LOL
ReplyDeleteI believe they are still trying to get the 2nd movie off the ground though. They've tried crowdfunding (they wanted like 1.2 million and got maybe half that). Supposedly they want to try again but with some budget cuts so they can achieve it.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it'll happen...but they keep trying.
True but the Mikaelson's do have the market cornered on the love / hate relationship thing.
ReplyDelete( one episode Kol is trapping sister Rebekah in the Faulkner Cottage for insane witches well making sure she gets put in in insane child 'killer' Eva Sinclair ' s body well a few episodes later Rebekah is vowing to find away to resurrect her now dead witch brother )
Deep down Klaus loves Marcel.
....yet
ReplyDeleteDid you not see the clip of Jesse. L Martin, Carlos Valdez and Rick Cosnett singing the Firefly theme? With that many singers/musicans on the show they HAVE To do a musical episodes eventually.
ReplyDeleteThat would be just a f**k you to fans Jajajaja Like a serious one! There are people forming lines to see her and then she goes to become the new Zordon for The Power Rangers with bigger budget Jajajaja
ReplyDeleteyeah but only because they know they can't really kill each other, Marcel is fragile
ReplyDeleteDepending on how they want to play up the timestream rules, they could add a level of angst to bring some meaning into it. If Sara can't meet her friends/family without breaking the timestream it could add a different dynamic to it.
ReplyDeleteBut how big would the f**k you be by rendering season 3 pretty much insignificant to the big thing?
ReplyDeleteArrow season 5....I already can see it "Hey Sara" "Hey Malcolm" "Aren't you dead?" "Nah, hbu?" "Died in season 1 and came back" "Awesome, oh hey Moira"
"Robert?"
ReplyDeleteSo...
ReplyDeleteHow long until Catherine Tate joins the cast since they seem to like Doctor Who alums?
Oh, i know... As a writer i appreciate the saying "the dead should stay dead". If you commit to kill a character, then f**king kill it!
ReplyDeleteI was just talking that they are playing with this "Sara returns" to make her fans excited about the show. I still think there's a catch somewhere. Those people, and i know ONE hardcore Sara fan that if they do that Zordon crap would go kaboom! on Guggs and the gang! Jajajaja
The first one had a $30mil budget and internatonally (!) only made $15mil that's a pretty obvious sign that the movie didn't work marketing-wise
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll bluntly say this but I'm not sure $1.2mil would cover much to anything.
You can work with $1.2mil if you got a tiny crew and actors that are willing to work on a budget appropriate basis (as in: everyone takes 3% of the box-office).
I mean...yeah...get a blackmagic pocket camera, shoot mostly at day in open areas for natural light and you might have something somewhat cinematic to show. But this is Hollywood, if you want to produce a sequel you need the actors and actors are greedy bitc (not all of them).....erm...expensive
Lost Boys 2 had a $5mil budget and that was low budget
Would J. August Richards aka Charles Gunn of Angel be to old to play the "Mystery Hero" ?
ReplyDelete( he is 41 )
He's kinda busy on Agents of Shield
ReplyDelete"Whaddup gang, oh is that Count Vertigo having dinner with Shado?" "Nah you dullard, that's Brother Blood trying to get into Deadshots pants, Shado and Vertigo are taking a time-out with Dr. Ivo"
ReplyDeleteBest news ever!!
ReplyDeleteummm...did his character even show up this season?
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I don't watch the show. I only know that he's involved in it.
ReplyDeleteHe isn't on the show anymore I thought.
ReplyDelete( he's only done 8 episode )
Still wishing for David Tennant to come on as The Question
ReplyDeleteYes please!
ReplyDeleteI don't think the Arrow-universe is allowed to use The Question though. Gotham has Renee Montoya and the New 52 retconned her as Harvey Bullock's partner so they seem to be pushing for that. She'll probably become the TV version of The Question eventually, maybe in a spin-off.
I'm not sure if this show is getting more interesting or absurd with each new announcement.
ReplyDeleteHey Tommy. Hey Shado.
ReplyDeletethat is if Gotham lives on beyond a second season
ReplyDeleteI though I read somewhere that Captain Cold and Heat Wave were suppose to be 'Heroes' in the spin-off.
ReplyDeleteNope. His last episode was 1x22.
ReplyDeleteSince my longer message seems to have been lost in translation (I didn't even swear....) I'll cut that one short:
ReplyDeleteThe first one had a 30mil budget and internatonally made only 15mil back (that's pretty bad)
Plus, you can't make a movie for 1.2mil bucks, I mean...you can if you have cheap actors, shoot on a universally usable camera (blackmagic pocket), shoot by day to avoid lighting issues and have a tiny crew
I haven't seen the first one but I doubt that they can even bring back 3 actors for 1.2mil
I was hoping Booster Gold would get a fair shake this time. Luckily, where Hunter goes, Booster isn't far behind.
ReplyDeleteI believe they had some other financial backers, but there was 1.2 million they were missing. Supposedly the total budget was going to end up around 15 million.
ReplyDeleteLike I said, I doubt it'll happen but they seem to keep trying to push it. Oddly enough they still seem to even update the facebook page. So they've got someone manning it apparently.
Mostly. Since the beginning of the show in the 60s, he's always had at least one female companion (apart from a brief time the First Doctor was with only Steven), but sometimes a male companion at the same time. Rory is Amy's husband and they travelled with the Doctor together.
ReplyDeleteBooster is supposedly going to appear in Flash eventually. They mentioned in an interview to MTV a while back that they wanted to use Pied Piper and Booster Gold. We've gotten Pied Piper so Booster Gold will probably show up in Season 2.
ReplyDeleteokay that sounds more likely,
ReplyDeletewell they seem to be dedicated. Wich is something I can't say for other studios.
Hell...I'd murder to get the rights for the WishMaster, Final Destination and Saw franchise...dude, I would ROCK these franchises but nope, the rights are kept thightly under wraps
Captain Jack Harkness was introduced in Series 1 of the modern Doctor Who series as a companion in the last five episodes, joining the Ninth Doctor and Rose. After he was left behind in the Series 1 finale, "The Parting of the Ways", he became the main character of his own spin-off, Torchwood. He teamed up with the Tenth Doctor in the last three episodes of Series 3 of Doctor Who (when the Doctor's current companion was Martha) and the last two episodes of Series 4 (when the Doctor's current companion was Donna, and past companions Rose, Martha, Mickey and Sarah Jane also reappeared).
ReplyDelete*Sarah Jane Smith was a companion of the Third and Fourth Doctors in the classic series, and reappeared in the third episode of Series 2 of the modern series, "School Reunion", before getting her own spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures for younger audiences.
so many news today! this is great
ReplyDeletewell he's a jerk then, so what if he's a fixed point, weren't they friends and you don't leave friends behind. I don't like seeing shows where they switch the lead characters
ReplyDeleteWell, he apologized for it when they met up again in Series 3.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great show.
2 years later! did Harkness at least punch him in the face?
ReplyDeletehttp://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_Men_(comics)
ReplyDeletehttp://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forgotten_Heroes
I wonder if we will ever see any 'Flashforwards' to Rip ' s time with the "Linear Men" or the "Forgotten Heroes".
( these would be awesome titles for the show as well )
there is the Vic Sage version of the The question
ReplyDeletethere are a few version of "The Question" though so Vic Sage can be used
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ew.com/article/2015/03/30/flash-boss-debunks-one-theory
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this show. Didn't realize that was what the term meant. In Indian soaps we have made a business out of killing and bringing people back. People come back even after they are buried, their body is burned etc. It is so annoying that I stopped watching regional television. I could barely tolerate Malcolm surviving. Now Sara.
ReplyDeleteI adore Caity Lotz as Sara. But this is such an unnecessary move. They could have cast another kick ass female actor for a new role.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that.
ReplyDeleteI'm just gonna call this show 'Society' until an actual title is given.
ReplyDeleteThat'd be hard to do. And it's been done with Batman Brave and The Bold. And a team of heroes who might time travel sounds cooler to me.
ReplyDeleteHe's a far more competent time traveler than Booster Gold. In fact, Rip Hunter is the kind of guy that would give Booster Gold a taking to. If Rip is in this series, I wonder who will be that "voice" that someone like Booster Gold needs. Unless they try to make Blue Beetle this no-nonsense character.
ReplyDeleteJoanna de la Vega isn't the niece.
ReplyDeleteJustice would be too much on the nail. With Society, it would make others look it up and see that that their is not only a Justice League, but a Justice Society. The CWverse could very well showcase their own version of the JS while the cinematic universe portrays a Justice League.
ReplyDeleteRORY!!! Between that and the Hawkgirl reveal (I called it!), I'm getting SO excited for this show!
ReplyDeleteIntroducing the Justice Society would be cool, but Justice isn't really that on the nose (not that I want it to be the title). I'd rather it not be the league anyway, since without Oliver or Barry. It ain't much of a league. I'd rather they use a more obscure time travel related team like Linear Men or Forgotten Heroes.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe DC likes to have multiple versions of Superheroes on TV so we probably wont get Vic Sage while Renee Montoya is on Gotham.
ReplyDeleteWell...yes and no. Here they are going to put him in the role of the leader. Booster Gold doesn't fit that. He's best when he's a comic relief that can still kick ass. Putting him into more serious role would be terrible idea.
ReplyDeleteoh wow, the question is does Booster Gold listen?
ReplyDeleteno Outsiders? apparently they're a superhero team too right?
ReplyDeleteprobably Palmer himself, it's happened before: where the leader of a superhero team gathers a team of superheroes
ReplyDeleteyou called Hawkgirl too?
ReplyDeletewhat if she breaks the timestream? what happens?
ReplyDeleteHow is this for 'Sara's' come back story and of course it would be tweaked a bit.
ReplyDelete( whenever you see Michelle insert Sara )
Within the context of the stories, Michelle Carter is the twin sister of Michael Carter. She follows her brother from the 25th century back to the later 20th. She decides to explore the era and "borrows" the Goldstar costume. During this exploration she acts like and dies as a super hero.
Years later, subjectively, Rip Hunter rescues her by pulling her to the present from just before she was to die. This removed her "death" from the timeline. From her perspective she was rescued in the nick of time and it is not until some time later that she learns that she had originally died. The revelation of this by Rex Hunter traumatizes her and leaves her obsessing on the belief that she is now a "glitch" in the timeline. Resenting Rip and Booster for having hidden her "real fate", she disables Skeets and disappears into the timestream.
She resurfaces in Coast City just prior to its destruction by Mongul. Booster is able to get her out of Coast City, but it costs her a newfound boyfriend. This results in her contemplating going back to the 25th century. When she informs Booster, he is able to convince her to remain with him and Rip
Yeah but they're kinda like misfit heroes. And considering this team will apparently time travel I want them to use a name of one of Hunter's time travelling teams.
ReplyDeleteoh cool, what's the most popular one? maybe it'll be that one
ReplyDeleteIt'll depend on what rules they want to set up.
ReplyDeleteIn the comics the rules tend to change depending whose writing them. But its ranged from the people disappearing (the timestream just cancels out the elements) to them creating an alternate timestream.
In general it's never any good. Villains tend to not care so much but heroes take it into account.
so saying "screw the timestream" is bad LOL, so for example if she breaks the timestream she'll just disappear? even in the same universe as Flarrow?
ReplyDeleteIt was wishful thinking more than anything else back then. I really wasn't sure DC TV would go intergalactic but after meta-humans, who knows?
ReplyDeleteShe could, it'll depend on how the Flarrow writers want to handle time travel. I assume The Flash will touch on it soon. It was hinted at in the recent episode when Barry saw himself and the other Barry disappeared (thus why there wasn't 2 Barry Allen's running around when he accidentally went back in time).
ReplyDeleteAs well as being located in the Flarrow universe I wonder if there will be a Multiverse in the spin-off
ReplyDelete( parallel / "alternate universes" )
So there's not going to be a fire??
ReplyDeleteif they allow two version of dollmaker one in arrow and now in Gotham....then "The question" should be allow plus Renee won't be The question anytime soon..
ReplyDeletei just had a feeling that it WOULD be Hawkgirl, i didn't think it'd be a different version than what i'm used but i knew it'd be Hawkgirl. Isn't Green Lantern the hardest superhero to bring to life though?
ReplyDeleteno they confirmed that it's in the same universe
ReplyDeleteTrue. That could happen. I wonder what event or which villain forces Palmer to collect all these heroes?
ReplyDeletewanting to be the lead on a show! Duh!
ReplyDeleteRenee Montoya hasnt been on for a while. Plus she isn't The Question. Your logic doesn't work for the fact that Crispus Allen is on Gotham and Jim Corrigan was on Constantine both were The Spectre.
ReplyDeleteKoky darling! Leave Palmer alone. He is simply trying to earn money to pay the loans he took for the supersuit.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first thing I've read that has me genuinely interested in this show!
ReplyDeleteThe network wasnt buying just the Atom spin-off.
ReplyDeleteRip is like Arrow's John Diggle. The moral compass in a way.
ReplyDeleteSo with this casting happening I'm sure the 3 of them will appear in Arrow or Flash finale or both. Should be fun!
ReplyDeleteI just hope Chris's prediction won't come true and we just see this Rip Hunter guy standing with Sara on a roof telling her he needs he for a mission.
The actor himself looks neat, didn't watch him in anything.
Hmm, she was de la Vega you say? I always thought the character was supposed to represent Joanna Pierce.
ReplyDeleteHow many character left to cast?
ReplyDeleteSeems like a whole lot already!
One more I think. A black guy who sounds like Static Shock.
ReplyDeleteI like the guy but even I wouldn't want to see a show solely based on him. He is a tolerable plot device for me now. I love Sara and CL but I love Arrow more. The repercussions of Sara's return makes me nervous. I hope they know what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteHere is the description for the character. "An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations."
ReplyDeleteWould love Keith Powers from Faking it to get the role.
i HATE Static Shock so i hope it's a character someone said is called Black Lightning
ReplyDeleteoh ok cool
ReplyDeletedamn that's horrible of they do that, she basically can't live a normal life: she has to live an even MORE weird life
ReplyDeleteWhat? Why? I remember watching it on cartoon network when I was younger. I'm not familiar with Black Lightning.
ReplyDeleteit's just he's kind of Spider-Man and i'm not exactly a full fan of Spider-Man, i mean i like him but not a lot. I already hate that he's being introduced into the MCU, but anyway i feel like Static Shock is DC's version of Spider-Man and i don't know Black Lightning either but someone pointed out that it could be him
ReplyDeletea disruption in the timeline caused by Barry which brings Hunter to Palmer maybe?
ReplyDeleteand Sara DOESN't die?
ReplyDeleteFrom all the cast members Marcel is probably the one most likely to die from the TO cast. But even if he does I really hope he stays away from this project, he almost ruined the Originals for me. Him + BR as Ray would be a major turn off.
ReplyDeleteI knew they were gonna make a spin-off with the amount of resources they spent on the suit. Guess this spin-off will be JLA.
ReplyDeleteThe spin-off's own version of Cisco!
ReplyDeleteHalf Cisco/ Half Roy (street smart) ^_^
ReplyDelete:D :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteIn a way it is better than him sticking around for another season. I would rather see Laurel and Thea grow as heroes than Ray Palmer any day. Had the spin off not happened he would surely be here in season 4.
ReplyDeleteNo, he wasn't all that upset. He was a few hundreds years more mature by that point.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought the repercussions of time travel on The Flash will only reflect there. But now I think all three of these shows will be connected by Barry's time travel.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone mention he looks a bit like Oliver and Felicity's son?
ReplyDeletePutting it out there. ^_^
So not who I imagined for Rip, but okay...
ReplyDeleteNo, lol. I've actually hear this before with the name, but you can see the entire name at her office when Laurel asks for a job in S2.
ReplyDeleteWell if you believe, as many do, that Captain Jack was actually the Face of Boe he was in other episodes as well.
ReplyDeleteHard to argue with that. Good eyes!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I was wondered why they gave her a different last name anyways.
ReplyDeleteoh ok, at least he THOUGHT to kill him, good
ReplyDeleteMy moneys on Luc Roderique as Jason Rusch, unless they recast, They have Victor Garber as Prof. Martin Stein but no Robbie Amell as Ronnie. it would be a bit of a silly move to have Stein but no Firestorm.
ReplyDeleteMy Hope is for it to be Mr Terrfic, he would be a good addition to the show.
