I think it was done on purpose so both the Arrow and The Flash could have their own final week in the spot light without the other having their final as well.
There were plenty of alternatives to avoid chronological mistakes, yet The CW didn't make any moves.
Seriously, I don't understand what the people in charge of schedules are doing, they do so many wrong things. The CW usually gets scheduling right, but this scheduling is beyond me
I am pretty sure they were avoiding premiering iZombie against the voice so that wouldn't have worked I think. I think they aired that extra Arrow to support the 100 and not leave it sans lead-in for 3 straight episodes (even though I think a two hour finale would have worked better). But they should not be airing Arrow this week then. Then everything would be in sync. The way they are doing it is very weird: First week of April: The Flash 1x17, Arrow 3x18 Second week of April: The Flash 1x18, No Arrow Third week of April: No Flash, Arrow 3x19 Forth week of April: The Flash 1x19, Arrow 3x10 Fifth week of April: The Flash 1x20, Arrow 3x21 First week of May: The Flash 1x21, Arrow 3x32 Second week of May: The Flash 1x22, Arrow 3x23 Third week of May: The Flash 1x23, No Arrow
I think they should have brought both shows back one week later (to avoid St. Patrick's Day Tuesday and Empire finale night Wednesday) and done this instead: First week of April: The Flash 1x16, Arrow 3x17 Second week of April: The Flash 1x17, No Arrow Third week of April: The Flash 1x18, Arrow 3x18 Forth week of April: The Flash 1x19, Arrow 3x19 Fifth week of April: The Flash 1x20, Arrow 3x20 First week of May: The Flash 1x21, Arrow 3x31 Second week of May: The Flash 1x22, Arrow 3x32 Third week of May: The Flash 1x23, Arrow 3x23
I think Nanda Parbat was supposed to be the cliffhanger episode before the relatively long break, so I wouldn't change that part. I've published my proposed solution in my comment above to Pablo Troncoso.
I saw it, they could still fix thing even remotely if they wouldn't put Flash on a break next week. Yes Nanda Parbat just like Out of Time were supposed to be the cliffhanger eps, but in "favor" of iZombie they moved Out of Time to after the break. I commented in the Asia promo section that they possibly cut the eps a bit different together and that last week instead of the Raylicity Let's go to CC scene we got the mayor shooting scene. So it would look a bit fitting. But I have no clue how they're gonna fix the Lance-Quentin crossover.
http://www.spoilertv.com/2015/02/cw-episode-titles-air-dates-various.html There is a few errors. In week two The Flash and Arrow are both repeats In week three The Flash 1x18, Arrow 3x19
I didn't know that Out of Time was meant to be cliffanger episode, though it makes sense. I don't think they are helping out iZombie this way though because next week the voice is two hours and they will ask izombie to air sans flash for the first time the same time they ask it to go up against the voice for the first time, which seems like a horrible combination.
Ohh! Next week the live play offs. Stupid to put iZombie alone next week. Especially with Flash having that extra week. That will be a rough fall for iZombie. But who knows maybe it will prove more resistant than thought.
For the record even if you watch them in order the episodes won't make sense because 3x18 picks up right after 3x17 so there's no way Flash 1x18 took place between them.
He/She is right cause of the prime time listings. No eps next week while on the 14 and 15 they both air. Starting from Thursday Flash airs repeats, 1x13 and 14 on Thursday, 1x15 on Tuesday 7th and 16 and 17 on the following Thursday 9th and new eps Tuesday 14.
So .... in the bigger picture this sadly can' be fixed as next week both shows are repeats and then from here to the end of the season it's back to back episodes for both shows until the end of the season. Also it's not this one episode that will be out of order but all the remaining episodes of The Flash will be one week behind Arrow.
It wasn't hard at all to do... Most of us can come up with schedules that allow for that to happen, so I don't think it is an unrealistic expectation to believe the CW would be able to do it as well.
Yeah, the listings website I use lists something else which leads me to believe the CW announced an original plan that was later changed. But I believe you this is the way it is going to go.
The more you think about it the more messier it becomes. So just accept that between Palmer saying sorry to Felicity at Palmer technologies and Felicity giving a kiss to Oliver at the foundry there is a 2 to 3 day gap where Ray and Felicity went to CC to work out the weakness of the ATOM suit. Nothing else makes sense.
You know, when everyone criticized these shows ending up on the CW instead of a real station, I don't think even the most critical writer or blogger envisioned that the network would screw up the timeline of the shows chronology in less than 1 season. This is a massive screw up. Sure wonder who at the CW will be made the scapegoat for this. Someones gonna get fired for such a mess up. If this was even a ONE WEEK screw up, I would expect someone to lose their job for this... but 2 weeks? It makes no sense. None AT ALL. They haven't had any "unexpected scheduling problems" that I know of.... so they knew the schedule at the start of the season. This is gross incompetence.
Will never happen. It will only get more complicated next year with the Atom/Captain Cold etc spin off in the mix as well. I'm sure the CW will handle 3 shows that overlap muuuuuuch better than two (sarcasm). Too bad these shows didn't end up on a real network.
He said "5 months we never saw each other now we have seen each other twice in as many weeks". Doesn't that mean they have met twice recently? Does than mean two weeks? Anyway I will take it. Its the least complicated explanation.
If half of the internet is correct, the third show will take place in an alternate reality so it shouldn't be as serious when they aren't in sync (even if I expect crossovers to still happen when someone crosses over)
I think they wanted to make it look like the Ray/Oliver show-off happened in 3x17 then Ray and Felicity went to CC in 1x18 and the mayor attack happened after the events of 1x18 so that 3x18 would immediately pick it up from there, but then with the scheduling, it all got messed up. Because I'm pretty sure Felicity was completely unaware of the suit working then after they made up, they'll go to CC.
But Felicity is in the same dress + jacket in the scene where her and Felicity make up and the meeting in Mayors office. They must have already shot these episodes before the scheduling mess up happened wouldn't they? Even if not this is a mess that could not be solved by airing 1x18 after 3x17. Its still a mess.
When do you think we will end up seeing The Atom from the comics ? In the Spin-off ? Never ?
( will he end up having a accident at S.T.A.R Labs )
Atom's Comic Abilities: to shrink and grow his body and other objects to varying degrees (including the subatomic level) while manipulating his weight to his advantage.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A...
The Atom possesses the power to alter his size down to the subatomic level while retaining his natural strength level. This is accomplished by using the remnants of a white-dwarf star made into a belt buckle worn with his costume. Originally, he had to manipulate his abilities via the belt and later with hand movements before eventually syncing with his brainwaves itself
Well, i guess we can just say that Barry running backwards in time messed up the space/time continuum to the point that nothing makes sense. The only problem is that it's highly likely that Ray and Felicity will break up in 3x18, but they'll still be dating on 1x18.
I think he'll devise the utility belt either later on Arrow or on his spin-off because his character right now makes no sense. They did mention that dwarf star on Arrow, I think?
Same here Joy. Especially when I think of the Joe-Quentin crossover. This is a huge mix up, but I believe they will find a way to even remotely fix it.
If Ray and Felicity break up in 3x18 and then they show them as a couple in flash 1x18 I will be so annoyed. I am predicting Ray and Felicity break up to happen in episode 3x19.
Its between 3x16 and 3x17. Cisco made improvments for Atoms suit but Oliver already destroyed it. Guessing one of the reason Cisco comes to visit Starling city to lend a hand with the suit again.
I think people are confused because of the airdates and because Arrow 3x18 airs before Flash 1x18. But these episode would have still not made sense even if 3x18 and 1x18 aired on the same week. They did imply in earlier interviews that Flash is ahead of Arrow regarding the timeline and that after Arrow 3x18 they will become insync again.
To me, I just think it would still make sense regardless. I mean, Ollie messed up Ray's suit so quickly it would make sense that Ray would need help with the suit.
But he will be in the hospital in 3x18. There was no time to get back to CC before the mayors attack. If they put Felicity in another dress they could have gotten away with it but she has the same one when she and Ray reconcile and then are in the mayors office.
I think there's probably going to be something in the Flash timeline with the crossover that's off with regards to the Arrow timeline. Like, if Felicity and Ray break up in 3x18, it'll be weird if they show up on The Flash as bf/gf after that happens.
Or maybe something happens at the end of 3x19 that would make it odd for Felicity and Ray to leave town to go visit Barry. Maybe there's something with the suit that Ray went to get fixed in the Flash ep that will be working in 3x18 of Arrow (meaning it's fixed before he goes to get it fixed). But I'm not sure how The Flash episode was originally supposed to fit in, because Felicity and Ray were supposed to go to Central City in 1x18, which would be in between 3x17 and 3x18, but it looks like 3x17 picks up where 3x18 left off, so it seems a mess regardless.
That's how they messed up the pilot episode of Flash and S3 premiere of Arrow lol. I always said they should of Aired both shows on Wednesday when they premiered then move Flash to Tuesday that way ppl wouldn't be confused with their meeting lol
Eww, I don't use the B word. Especially when they themselves HAVEN'T USED IT! Ughh. I was really going by the 5 people outing they go on. But hey maybe he tries to use the B word when she introduces him to Team Flash, and in the back of her head she's like, ewww no, this is wrong. Thennn she breaks up with him when they go back? Lol That could work, I could see it. ButI won't get happy about it til it happens. Waiting for it is like waiting for water to boil in a pot. Smh it's taking forever.
Why not just enjoy both shows and not fret about the network throwing the chronology off by a week? Everything will be in sync at the end of the season, and then the seasons of both shows can be evaluated in their entirety. You don't HAVE to watch both shows to follow the story on either show. While you certainly experience an enhancement to the storylines by following both shows, it's not mandatory. There have been chronological discrepancies throughout the entire season if you want to be a stickler, beginning with the premiere episodes of both shows in relation to that initial rooftop rendezvous. And if the stories truly were intertwined, there's absolutely no way Barry would have been left out of the loop when Oliver disappeared for two months.
Is this really going to continue to be an ongoing thing next season when there will be four (and possibly five) loosely-intertwined shows across two (and possibly three) television networks sharing the same fictional universe, fretting about the very minor timeline inconsistencies? Because it goes without saying that there will be more, and that CBS and CW (and TNT) won't be closely coordinating storylines to make sure everything is in sync — particularly when two of the shows will feature characters that definitively can time travel and alter the timeline. So it's best to enjoy these (and future) DC shows on their own merits and stop fretting over issues that are irrelevant in the long run.
This problem probably is caused by sports coverages by the afilliates. That's the only explanation I see being the reason why the network is unable to sync Arrow and Flash.
I think flash 1.18 should be after arrow 3.18 right is the only thing that makes sense in order for his suit to be working again this coming up episode
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Why did the CW mess up with this in the first place? I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteCause they have no clue what they are doing! I really don't think that the extra week lead in iZombie got out of this is really worth the mess.
ReplyDeleteI don't know either; they could've premiered Izombie a week earlier and brought back The Flash eairly too
ReplyDeleteOr just not air Nanda Parbat during February.
ReplyDeleteI think it was done on purpose so both the Arrow and The Flash could have their own final week in the spot light without the other having their final as well.
ReplyDeleteThere were plenty of alternatives to avoid chronological mistakes, yet The CW didn't make any moves.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I don't understand what the people in charge of schedules are doing, they do so many wrong things. The CW usually gets scheduling right, but this scheduling is beyond me
Just awful! This really annoys me. Especially with the Joe-Quentin crossover. That will be quite messy as well.
ReplyDeleteThey are just pissing their viewers of! I hope they will find some solution for this to seem even remotely logical.
The issues are the upcoming crossovers. They could've inserted breaks after them giving them those special finale weeks.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure they were avoiding premiering iZombie against the voice so that wouldn't have worked I think. I think they aired that extra Arrow to support the 100 and not leave it sans lead-in for 3 straight episodes (even though I think a two hour finale would have worked better). Fifth week of April: The Flash 1x20, Arrow 3x21
First week of May: The Flash 1x21, Arrow 3x32
Second week of May: The Flash 1x22, Arrow 3x23
Third week of May: The Flash 1x23, No Arrow
I think they should have brought both shows back one week later (to avoid St. Patrick's Day Tuesday and Empire finale night Wednesday) and done this instead:
First week of April: The Flash 1x16, Arrow 3x17
Second week of April: The Flash 1x17, No Arrow
Third week of April: The Flash 1x18, Arrow 3x18
Forth week of April: The Flash 1x19, Arrow 3x19
Fifth week of April: The Flash 1x20, Arrow 3x20
First week of May: The Flash 1x21, Arrow 3x31
Second week of May: The Flash 1x22, Arrow 3x32
Third week of May: The Flash 1x23, Arrow 3x23
Ouch @ CW that is messed up! Now what? !
ReplyDeleteSo we have to delay this weeks Arrow for a week? Am I right?
ReplyDeleteLooks like that is what I will be doing, yes. I am very picky with these things, I hate to watch stuff out of order.
ReplyDeleteI think Nanda Parbat was supposed to be the cliffhanger episode before the relatively long break, so I wouldn't change that part. I've published my proposed solution in my comment above to Pablo Troncoso.

ReplyDeleteMy tv guide site is showing something different. Then I guess the CW is changing their minds about this.
ReplyDeleteThis was bound to happen. People can't expect the CW to keep both shows in sync.
ReplyDeleteI'm commenting on the first set of dates when the episodes are suppose to be airing and some are wrong.
ReplyDeleteFor the record even if you watch them in order the episodes won't make sense because 3x18 picks up right after 3x17 so there's no way Flash 1x18 took place between them.
ReplyDeleteSeriously The CW?
ReplyDeleteThis could've been easily solved if they didn't air Arrow against Empire two weeks ago.
He/She is right cause of the prime time listings. No eps next week while on the 14 and 15 they both air.
ReplyDeleteStarting from Thursday Flash airs repeats, 1x13 and 14 on Thursday, 1x15 on Tuesday 7th and 16 and 17 on the following Thursday 9th and new eps Tuesday 14.
So Flash 118 also takes place before Arrow 317, surely, since 318 is gonna pick up where 317 left off. So this is gonna get really confusing. Damn CW.
ReplyDeleteSo .... in the bigger picture this sadly can' be fixed as next week both shows are repeats and then from here to the end of the season it's back to back episodes for both shows until the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteAlso it's not this one episode that will be out of order but all the remaining episodes of The Flash will be one week behind Arrow.
Whose right ? Me ?
ReplyDeleteIt's 'He' by the way.
Yeah U. Nice to know your a He. ^_^
ReplyDeleteThese 2 shows need to stand on their own.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't hard at all to do... Most of us can come up with schedules that allow for that to happen, so I don't think it is an unrealistic expectation to believe the CW would be able to do it as well.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know. But then how does Marc's response make sense? He says Arrow 1x18 takes place after Flash 1x18.
ReplyDeleteThe listings website I use lists something else which leads me to believe the CW announced an original plan that was later changed. But I believe you.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the listings website I use lists something else which leads me to
ReplyDeletebelieve the CW announced an original plan that was later changed. But I
believe you this is the way it is going to go.
My newest theory is 1x18 takes place after 3x16.
ReplyDeleteThe more you think about it the more messier it becomes.
ReplyDeleteThen the suit is not broken and Ray Palmer does not know its weakness to be fixed.
ReplyDeleteSuch a mess
ReplyDeleteThe suit could only fly the last time we saw it right? It didnt have the laser thingies. Those were acquired during the CC visit.
ReplyDeleteU can look it up here on the site, if you got some spare time ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh that make sense. But the problem here is Ray is flying in the suit to CC. But Felicity was surprised Ray got the suit to be operational in ep. 17.
ReplyDeleteI believe you, it is fine ;)
ReplyDeleteI think she said "You got the suit working". It could mean the lasers.
ReplyDeleteAlso was it stated two weeks have passed since 3x16? It took them two weeks to figure out the killings was done by Arrow?
ReplyDeleteI think Ray said it to Oliver in 3x17 that they saw each other twice in as many weeks.
ReplyDeleteYou know, when everyone criticized these shows ending up on the CW instead of a real station, I don't think even the most critical writer or blogger envisioned that the network would screw up the timeline of the shows chronology in less than 1 season.

This is getting way too confusing for me now!
ReplyDeleteSo even if 1x18 was aired after 3x17 the show timeline would still be screwed.
ReplyDeleteYes remember how 3x17 ended with the attack on the mayor? And 3x18 starts where 3x17 left off.
ReplyDeleteWill never happen.
ReplyDeleteIt will only get more complicated next year with the Atom/Captain Cold etc spin off in the mix as well.
I'm sure the CW will handle 3 shows that overlap muuuuuuch better than two (sarcasm).
Too bad these shows didn't end up on a real network.
Ugh this is so annoying.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't make any sense AT ALL. We've been trying to make sense of of this for hours but it's not working.
ReplyDeleteHe said "5 months we never saw each other now we have seen each other twice in as many weeks". Doesn't that mean they have met twice recently? Does than mean two weeks? Anyway I will take it. Its the least complicated explanation.
ReplyDeleteThe crossover conceptually on paper itself is a failure in timelines. Just look at Flash episode as an independent side story. That will be better.
ReplyDeleteYes first one being the time when Oliver visited Felicity in 3x16.
ReplyDeleteRay could fly his suit in 3x15 though. And Felicity was very vague behind the meaning so it could mean you got the lasers to work.
ReplyDeleteWhen the only viable answer is "just don't air the episode at all", someone's messed up big time.
ReplyDeleteIf half of the internet is correct, the third show will take place in an alternate reality so it shouldn't be as serious when they aren't in sync (even if I expect crossovers to still happen when someone crosses over)
ReplyDeleteYou would think that 2 of the CW highest rated show would get the sync order in line,
ReplyDeleteI think they wanted to make it look like the Ray/Oliver show-off happened in 3x17 then Ray and Felicity went to CC in 1x18 and the mayor attack happened after the events of 1x18 so that 3x18 would immediately pick it up from there, but then with the scheduling, it all got messed up. ReplyDeleteSame here Joy. Especially when I think of the Joe-Quentin crossover. This is a huge mix up, but I believe they will find a way to even remotely fix it.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it. So does that meant Flash 3x18 is before Arrow 3x17 too?
ReplyDeleteWell...there ya go. = /
ReplyDeleteI'm going with that you said.
ReplyDeleteThey will still be dating in 1x18 b/c there's the date they go on. But when they go back to SC, for 3x18, I guess that's when they break up.
ReplyDeleteIf Ray and Felicity break up in 3x18 and then they show them as a couple in flash 1x18 I will be so annoyed. I am predicting Ray and Felicity break up to happen in episode 3x19.
ReplyDeleteCan someone tell me what the issue is?? Why is it a big deal??
ReplyDeleteI think it maybe confusing for people who watch both shows.
ReplyDeleteIts between 3x16 and 3x17. Cisco made improvments for Atoms suit but Oliver already destroyed it. Guessing one of the reason Cisco comes to visit Starling city to lend a hand with the suit again.

ReplyDeleteEww, I don't use the B word. Especially when they themselves HAVEN'T USED IT! Ughh. I was really going by the 5 people outing they go on. ReplyDeleteOh okay.
ReplyDeleteThis problem probably is caused by sports coverages by the afilliates. That's the only explanation I see being the reason why the network is unable to sync Arrow and Flash.
ReplyDeleteWhat? That is news to me. The Foundry is destroyed?
ReplyDeleteI think flash 1.18 should be after arrow 3.18 right is the only thing that makes sense in order for his suit to be working again this coming up episode
ReplyDelete
