    I can't wait to see the wedding and Deadshot/Cupid combo. It's going to be fun. When it rains it pours for Ray Palmer. He is meeting everyone this episode and he has a scene with Laurel. Oh Oliver you are so right Ray has no idea what Starling city is up against. He is going to be so over his head.

    Actually The Flash 1x18 was supposed to happen after 1x17 the suicide squad episode and before Arrow 3x18. But the CW screwed up the air dates. So now it is coming after Arrow. So we have to consider events of The Flash happening few days before Arrow 3x18

    I'm not really sure. A lot of people (including me) were so sure that the episode was going to suck. And even without that, you saw what happened to Flash and the episode was epic and people were so excited for it. I'm worried.

    I don't think so. Arrow has a steady audience now. I expect atleast 1.0. My prediction is 1.1. If the episodes without Oliver can get ratings above 1.0 this one will too. Flash is only in the first season it will take time for the ratings to even out. Also tuesday was St. Patricks Day. Some were saying that was another reason.

    I don't watch Empire so I've got no clue about that. I'm still on my one week no shows pledge, didn't watch Flash or Arrow (dying here), cause I have to study. I'm allowed to watch promos but no actual episodes.
    I'll catch up with all shows after Monday and my exam.

    I'm really excited for Dyla's wedding, the return of the Suicide Squad, and Oliver hopefully kicking Ray's a** but I'm not looking forward to the rest of Ray's scenes, especially if he's officiating the wedding. And while the beginning of the promo got me excited for a second, I have a feeling it was a trick by the promo department and she's not really looking at Oliver.

    Look, here me out. I was dying for Felicity to get a love interest and I am happy that she got laid... but Ray just rubs me in the worst ways! I don't really understand what his deal is. Is he a good guy who wants to really help out the city? Is he out there to avenge his fiance's death? I can't understand him so I don't like him. If they really tried to explain where he is coming from (literally... like is he from Starling or somewhere else?), I'd maybe like him. I have loved Brandon Routh (have you ever watched a terrible, terrible movie called 'Table For Three'? because I did for him and it was TERRIBLE) but he does this weird thing with his eyeballs and I just... I can't.
    And he has been REALLY creepy, that's not helping at all.
    And now he is trying to go after Oliver? He is so gonna get his ass handed to him.

    I know. Lot of people have the same issue(especially creep factor. I ignore them). When too many people has same issues with one character it means they have done something wrong there. I am not a Ray fan. I don't love him. But I like him. They have not done him any good by isolating him with Felicity. Whenever he is around it feels like him and Felicity are in a different show. That is my main issue with this character.


    About his motivations I think he is traumatized by his fiance's death and he felt helpless when that happened. Like Thea he does not want have that feeling ever again. But unlike Thea who trained only for herself Ray wants to make sure no one else has to go through what he went through. That is his motivation for suiting up. The reason was all about what happened to his fiance and honoring her but like Oliver's realization in this episode about his motivations, Ray in Ep. 11 during the conference with Mayor and Brick realized he has a need to save the people he love and around him.


    But we dont know if he is going to go after Oliver. I truly believe that is some clever editing. He is going to be angry with Felicity about her not revealing Oliver's secret to him. But he won't go after Oliver. If he does Oliver will blast him.

    Oh, it was idiotic of them to isolating him with Felicity. I guess they wanted to have Felicity do (pun intended) someone and something other than Arrow stuff, but it's like they are on a different show indeed! He hasn't interacted with Oliver since the season premiere until last night's show! And other than Felicity, he only shared the same scene with Lance but they didn't talk either. And now he is apparently officiating Diggle's wedding? I can only understand if it has something to do with him being actually BFFs with Lyla but we never knew about it. They should have organically integrated him into storylines instead of him crazy-stalk Felicity.

    Yeah, but his action there was to give money to the Mayor's office. I dunno. I think they should have stuck with making him a super intelligent dude like ATOM from the comic books instead of this businessman thing. I don't like him trying to solve all of his problems with money.



    He does go after Oliver though. I don't do spoilers but the long-promo they had showed him sending rays (pun intended) to Oliver... but then again, maybe it's one of the LoA Arrow copycats?

    Why surprising? Time was reversed, Cisco's alive. As for Nora and Barry, I already knew this shit. Nothing about this is surprising to me. It's more like, "I called it since episode 3. And thank god it's finally revealed." That's me right now. Ra's going around impersonating somebody he has no business impersonating, smearing his good name, that i I have a problem with, cuz we just got done watching 6 months of that shit. Hmm wonder where Ra's picked that up. UGH! And he's Ra's f*cking Al Ghul! He couldn't get one of his henchmen to do it?? Really?? Ugh. I'd be less irritated if he did that.

    Okay but he still did that stuff. And will repeat those actions in a heartbeat and will do far worse. He doesn't, but Eobard has no business killing those people and wants to take Barry's life as the Flash. I just think that deserves at least as much anger (plus Barry will reverse the death not Eobard and the death still happened in another timeline) I'd be more. It shows Ra's respects Oliver enough to f*ck him over himself.

    They started Ray with him being a business man who wants to help the city with his company and money. Remember episode 1 party where he said he would take 1 dollar as salary for one year. Also his giving energy back free to the community. So his giving money to the mayor and SCPD to increase their resources is quite in character. But the problem is with him only dealing with Felicity and almost all their interactions was done to increase the comic factor and not substance they lost all these character traits in the long run. Had they not tried to make him the comic relief and concentrated on his mission to rebuild the city the character would have been way more likable. We needed a meeting with the Mayor and Ray way before ep.11. If that had happen it wouldn't have felt like a plot contrivance for Ray to be present in that meeting. As I said lot of problems in characterization but I understand their intention with this character. It's a hit and miss with more misses sadly. I have more problem with Felicity's shallowness when around Ray for the sake of comedy.


    Just saw the sizzle reel again. We actually don't see who he sends those rays to. The next scene is Oliver, Laurel and Roy on a roof top with a light from a helicopter on them. I think that is the SCPD chasing them. Both different scenes edited together to mislead us. SA said in Planet con that his scenes with BR has a levity to them like the scenes he share with Grant Gustin. They won't be cracking jokes if they are in the outs. So no kicking ass of Ray okay. Leave his poor ass be his heart is there for breaking.


    Every time I hear Ray officiating Dyla wedding I laugh so hard. I can't even with this show. Only on CW would we get such nonsense. You want to know why Ray officiates I will tell you. Official reason will be the minister who was going to officiate will have some issues and ray comes to the rescue scenario. But the unofficial reason is they need clear path for Oliver and Felicity to give bedroom eyes to each other with Ray out of the way. He will be busy in the wedding and these two cool kids will have eye sex. LOL. Typical CW stuff.

    That was a great way to introduce him... and then they completely forgot about it and made him obsessed with the suit (and, well, Felicity).
    I don't think Felicity is being particularly shallow. I think she is in a mindset that makes her vulnerable and be responding to whatever super expensive thing Ray keeps mentioning - and what girl wouldn't like to be treated to expensive stuff? (that's also one of my problems with Ray. For someone who mentioned that he won't be receiving any salary, he sure keeps mentioning how much money he has by mentioning how much things cost. Sure Oliver was super rich too, but he never made a case for it).

    Yeah, I thought the same thing, that the minister who ends up getting kidnapped will, well, get kidnapped and Ray will step in but it makes no sense whatsoever. I was more into the idea of Felicity inviting him as her +1 and sorta making Oliver jealous.

    Let's see. I'm making no assumptions because last season I called sooo many things and none of them came true and I wasn't expecting anything good from yesterday's episode and it became one of my faves this season.

    Ok, but he hasn't done anything worse. So iI have no reason to be pissed at him. It hasn't happened. I'm not going to get pissed about something iI called months ago, i'mI'm going to gloat about it. Which I did. From this moment on, w/e he does, I'm sure I'll be mad at him. I was upset with him a few times already in the past. Then iI accepted he's just a dick. Undercover. He's a villain, he's supposed to be a dick. (I've been really getting tired of my bad guys being neutered) I'm more excited that it's now finally happening, especially since he just dropped his name. When they dropped his name everything made soooo much sense. They're keeping him very close to the comics, which iI love, so yes, he is is supposed to be killing people, and wanting to kill Barry. I just had this conversation with Bruce two days ago. I pleased abOut it. Sorry. Our views differ on this one. It shows Ra's is an asshole, and has no respect for Oliver whatsoever, and him doing this, sinking to this level, disgust me. And THAT won't change. My views on that. Now i'm actually ready to see Ra's leave.

    Oh I should have better stated my complete love of Eobard as a villain, and their handling of him so far. I have absolutely no problems with that. I just think he's as hate worthy as Ra's (but in that you think he's awful as person but love his villainy). In hindsight I agree (I love Ra's and quite enjoy Nable) on that. Though I do want Oliver best that bastard.

    I am enjoying Ra's very much and Nable (Oh God here come the Liam Neeson fans of which I'm one) is killing it playing Ra's that being said he cracked me up in the episode two weeks ago with his "Welcome to Nanda Parbat" he sounds so southern in that moment I thought I was listening to a true Georgian saying it and considering he's Aussie it makes sense his accent would have that quality I've heard several dialect coaches compare the Australian lilt to the southern drawl but he just sounded so southern that for a second I thought did my uncle invade the set of Arrow just to say this one line it sounded exactly like my Uncle's voice drawl and all

    so it seem Ray will be going to The flash episode 18 which happter after arrow episode 17 so whatever happen in episode 17 it must be good for Palmer to leave. Maybe he know Oliver is innocent or it would be strange to just to go central city for no reason

    As I have been telling anyone that would hear me Ray is not going to be against Arrow. We actually does not see him telling that to Felicity or attacking Oliver in the promo. It was all the result of a clever editing. The only thing Ray is going to be upset about is Felicity keeping Arrow's secret from him and her taking Arrow's side over his. If Palmer even tries to hurt Oliver, Felicity would throw him out of her life. IMO Palmer will be a great help for Oliver in the coming episodes.


    What I understand is there will be some damage in the ATOM suit after next episode's outing. Palmer and Felicity go to CC to repair that with the help of STAR labs.

    I have the feeling we will see Palmer and Laurel working together a lot once Oliver and co leaves for Nanda Parbat. He is a hero who is going to a new show of course he won't stay against Oliver for more than a portion of an episode.

    If you wanted to like him then you would be more patient and wait to see how he develops till season's end. People certainly waited to see Felicity's backstory for 3 seasons for example.


    And what do you mean Ray is a good guy or not? He build a freaking superhero costume, how is that anyway not obvious. And yes it was to avenge his fiance and help save his city (as per your post mention btw) from anything like that ever happening again . Typical superhero story.
