  1. Great, they are getting a hand on the "spoiling too much", there is nothing new in the vid.
Glad we are getting to the bottom of Olivers self-doubting. I actually like it but until now it was way to broody and took too long for my taste (never thaught I would complain about missing Olivers monolouges)

  2. Here we go again, most surprising, most shocking, best episode evaaah. *rolls eyes*

OLIVER SNAP OUT OF IT :\

  3. Oh honey! I don't know what to say to you. Think about our beloved Starling City and get out of this funk you are in. I think you need to get laid.

    ReplyDelete
  4. What?!!! the boy is literally oozing misery. He needs some lovin.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well...between Ra"s messing with his head and Felicity turning down his love what do you expect? He should soon be out of this funk..lol

    ReplyDelete
  6. He better. Its hard to see your protagonist wallow in misery.

    ReplyDelete
  7. There are other things that would make him less misrable. Like not being a stubborn a**. Not protecting Malcolm. Declining Ra's Al Ghul's offer. GOING BACK TO BEING A HERO! Getting QC back. And did you really have to phrase it like that??

    ReplyDelete
  8. I get that. It's really frustrating to be a fan of Oliver Queen these days lol

  9. Ladies I found out what bothers me about S3. They have all these nice chapters and wanted to built up to the next few episodes, which really look very promising. Only thing they don't know what to do with a season arc, when the season has so many eipsodes.
Showing Olivers doubts in in The Offer makes total sense to
me and the way SA is acting makes it more understandable for me - finally Oliver voices his doubts. But the get there, since his return they had to make him totally broody, selfpitying which took way too long. They filled the stretch with interesting story but just let Oliver be broody too long.

  10. Koky sweety that all needs work, he should just blow of some steam to start think right. ;-) :-P

  11. Oliver's reason for aligning with Malcolm the terrorist was for him to learn and be better so that he can kill Ra's. Because he is not ready or skilled for the job. Then Thea gives Malcolm to LoA and he goes to Nanda Parbat on a suicide mission to save the terrorist knowing he will fail and dragging Diggle along with it. That is what is bothering me. He is not just worried about his role as a protector of Starling City, he is suicidal. A hero can make mistakes but at the end of the day he is supposed to make the right choices. The name league of assassins means it is a league made up of assassins. Why would a hero want to align with a group which has so much blood on their hands. It's very annoying that Oliver is entertaining this idea.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Exactly. He will be able to think straight after that. :P

  13. True. This is taking forever. I was feeling really bad for Oliver at first but now it's just annoying. I agree that he should have doubts and clearly I'm a fan of Stephen's acting but the problem is that I'm fed up with all the brooding and the angst AND there's nothing interesting happening to balance this out or make me overlook how boring this is all becoming. And even when the episodes have a "twist" it's so predictable and so underwhelming. Not to mention that most of the storylines this season are just making me angry.

  14. This is the first season were present time Ollie didn't get something on the side.
    Bad writing! Really Bad!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Although he really shouldn't have any doubts. He's a hero and the whole self doubt thing is very annoying. So Ra's beat him, so what? Malcolm beat him into a pulp before. In 2x08 he almost died. That's been his life for the past 8 years!

    ReplyDelete
  16. WOW. You two are just WOW.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If Oliver is okay with it I am ready to offer my services for the sake of everyone's good you know. For science and prosperity.

    ReplyDelete
  18. So the pay off is not worth of all the angst in your point of view?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Before everyone was complaining about Oliver getting too much, now he's not getting enough. There's just no pleasing some folks...

    ReplyDelete
  20. We wouldn't be bitchin if he was getting anything at all! He is on a dry dry run! Even in the fbs.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I understand you completely. If I ever see Oliver I will tell him about you ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Don't be like that Koky. Ollie is only human!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Going by Ollie's track reckord in the flashbacks, i kinda understand him.

Shado....dead. Sara....dead (as far as he knows at this time)

    ReplyDelete
  24. yeah it's like they forgot that Oliver has already passed selfdoubts with Slade..... It's like hey we have 5 season of development to film, we forgot to squeez out the selfdoubts and making his relationship to Felicity suffer as much as Laurels had.

    ReplyDelete
  25. oh and to Malcom, making this such a painful story is because they dragged out the arc storyline way too much.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Honestly he probably just forgot how to do it indoors. ^_^

    ReplyDelete
  27. Someone give this guy a hug, and then a swift kick in the ass.

    ReplyDelete
  28. And that's the only way human beings can be happy? I want him and Felicity to be a couple not for that. But to be official partners, to have a future together, to have a family and love and comfort each other and make each other happy. Relationships and happiness aren't about getting some! I like how Oliver's "love life" is being written this season. It's nice to see after he had a thing with every woman he wasn't related to, including his father's mistress!!! That was wrong and gross on so many levels.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Are we sure they arent Marc Guggenheim?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Every episode I think the same thing. He needs someone to give him a hug and tells him that everything is going to be ok. The fact that the memory of his mother he saw before he "died" was her hugging him speaks volumes. Then the same person should smack him over the head.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Only the students can defeat the master, remember :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Right????? I'm getting a weird deja vu reading their comments.

    ReplyDelete
  33. If the pay off is him accepting the offer then NO!

    ReplyDelete
  34. We dont need more trolls lol.

    ReplyDelete
  35. You know I was joking right? ;)

  37. Everyone on the show except Diggle is miserable. It's not just Oliver. Season 3 is where Arrow threw the idea of balance off the top of a skyscraper.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm annoyed by this episode already.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Marc, buddy. You've got to cool it with all this hyperbole.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Just to be clear I was kidding as well.
Even though I love your thoughts Ollie is far away from being ready for a relationship.
To calm you down I'm way to much into Olicity these days.
I even heard a song recentnly and thought it would be perfect for their first double I love. Run run Kelly Clarkson ft John Legend. That song reminds me so much about them.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I know that he's not ready. I said it before I enjoy the slow burn and Oliver needs to grow up and get his act together. The problem is that with every episode we seem to be going backwards not moving forward. And not just on the romantic front.

The John Legend song that really reminds me of them is "All of Me". It is so them.

A personal request: Don't call him the O word in front of me.

    ReplyDelete
  42. You don't like when I call him Ollie? Why?
I agree they are trying to pull of a downroad for Oliver but just as with Laurel it really doesn't work for him or the show.
"All of me" is so overused, I can't hear the song for till the end of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  43. It's not hard to watch him wallow. The guy has been through some really hard stuff. A little wallowing is reasonable. What's really difficult is watching your protagonist wallow in that misery for almost 3 full seasons. Plus, there's now an entire group of people that take terms yelling at him and second guessing him every week. I honestly don't know how Oliver finds the ambition to get out of bed sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't like when anyone calls him that. It represents Pre Island Oliver and that guy was a D-bag. That's not who he is anymore.

It's not working at all and they are dragging it.

Luckily I only heard it on an Olicity vid so it's not overused for me.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I like calling him O, cause it sounds softer. Cause even though he went truth a lot of messy, awful stuff he saved he has that softer side, that Toby, S01 Laurel and Moira saw as well.
I don't even think about him as the pre Island Oliver.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The only living person allowed to call him the O word is Thea. Because he wasn't awful to her when he was O :D

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hahaha. I want call him O when I reply to U. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hey it sparked realization in Ray. So if Oliver were to have sex with Felicity perhaps it would jolt him from his crisis.

    ReplyDelete
  49. In the comics pretty much every one of his family/loved ones call him Ollie.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think it even humanizes him to a certain degree. Oliver is a strong name while U wouldn't call someone Ollie if you really wouldn't know him well.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The only one who doesn't call him Ollie is Batman, the old grouch.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I didn't mind at all when they used the name on Smallville, I actually liked it a little. My problem with it is strictly Arrowverse related. I don't want THIS Oliver to be called that.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Do you want Oliver to go build a Tin Man suit too? :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. You know "The O word" is kinda a euphimism for something else right :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. "I honestly don't know how Oliver finds the ambition to get out of bed sometimes."

Seriously. Someone asked Marc Guggenheim on Tumblr if we were ever going to see Oliver being happy, and he said that all his happy times seem to happen between May and October. These people need to realize that this guy needs to get a win every once in a while. When he's up to his shoulders in quicksand, give him a yank up to his waist at least. Or something, jeez.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I really hope not. Why do you think the last 4 episodes take place at NP? Why would they do there for 4 episodes? I can't find the huge conflict. In season 1 we knew he was going to fight Malcolm. Season 2 Slade. Now what? They're supposed to take down the league?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Probably yeah. It's probably gonna be a push them back kinda win though.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I have no idea what you are talking about and I don't think I'd want to know.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I shall spare your pure uncorrupted mind then.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm gonna pretend that the comment wasn't sarcastic and say thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I meant it'll probably be about taking down the league. And then Oliver starts calling himself Green Arroa. Dun dun dun. Oh and Sara will probably be revived or some shit like that. More dun dun dun.

    ReplyDelete
  62. "More dun dun dun" lol

    ReplyDelete
  63. Exactly. I don't know why Guggenheim and Co. feel the need to keep Oliver in a perpetual state of inner conflict. There are plenty of external forces creating conflict on a regular basis.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yeah but when you get mortally wounded, kicked off a cliff after fighting a duel to protect your sister (and thereby fail). Combined with the fact that your friends and allies prove they don't need you to protect the city (which is your whole identity), combined with working with your sister's monstrous father who also killed your ex and brainwashed your sister into killing. All of that combined with the women you love rejecting you tends to really chip away at who you are. Especially since everything you did like working with Malcolm and doing everything you can is now mute when she is safe now, relatively. Since 3x09 that was Oliver's driving force, now he has none. So when Ra's al Ghul offers you the chance to have purpose it's a little interesting (no way he'll end up taking it though).

    ReplyDelete
  65. All good points and the writers made this identity season

    ReplyDelete
  66. See you get me. We only want what is best for the characters.

    ReplyDelete
  67. They really don't understand what audience wants do they? We want to see him get over his troubles one at a time and be a better happy man in the future. For once let the conflict be from outside in the form of a difficult villain. This is tiring.

    ReplyDelete
  68. "The most surprising"? Well since everybody called the offer story back when they first said Ra's was coming to Arrow season 3, I'm going with the only interaction that is going to surprise anyone is if they get in hot tubbed up in the Lazarus Pit and start making out.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Happy Birthday!!! *Party time* Am I late in wishing you? Is it Tuesday where you live?
