Cal looks hilarious and ridiculous with all those super villains behind him. And more Mama Ma and Skye. And why is she in the cage? She should come out.
I actually am starting to suspect the May/Coulson might be on opposite ends when it comes to Skye. Coulson might take his position as director with more weight at this point, and May seems to clearly be trying to protect and help Skye figure out her situation.
Can't wait for more Mama May and Skye bonding! I'm scared about Simmons reaction in the next episode because i love the skimmons relationship so much..but this is Agents of Shield, and we all know that this show will always have lots of angst..lol, but i'm very optimistic that the things in the end will only make the team more stronger than ever.. Can't wait to know more about Bobbi and Mack's secret!
Looks like we'll be getting a lot of May scenes in this episode! Yay, hopefully we'll be getting some more backstory on her now that Andrew is here. And Cal looks crazy as hell in that photo. I'm sure Kyle McLachlan is having a blast playing him XD
That picture of Cal is hilarious. May was my least favorite character for most of last season. This season, however, she is easily in my top three. I'm glad we are getting more backstory for her and I love her relationship with Skye this season.
Its weird they have so much chemistry its making me doubt who I ship damn those whedons the one thing solid in this show was my love for Fitzsimmons but that's just gone now they act like strangers which makes me sad
Maybe Skye put herself in a cage because she doesn't trust her powers? I could see that happening. Bit like how Bruce Banner doesn't trust himself not to Hulk out.
Slightly off topic, but news that has me just as happy, AoS will be starting on Irish tv this weekend, not bad, less than a week behind the US. Looking forward to it.
That would be a very interesting dynamic, it might be interesting as well to see how May interacts with those of the team that are against Skye. Wouldn't rate Mack's chances high against her...
If they are flying though it makes sense, the cage might be able to contain her powers (since it has the same material as Cap's shield and survived Sif punching it), and I'm betting an earthquake on the bus at altitude would be "bad".
Very interesting that May continues to bond with/support Skye in the same episode as the introduction of her ex. Andrew Gardner is a character from the comics, who are part of the Anti-Registration Underground during Civil War. (See here: http://marvel.wikia.com/Andrew_Gardner_%28Earth-616%29)
Coincidence? Maybe. But this storyline certainly seems like it could be setting up Civil War, and the fracture could be starting with Coulson's team, with May and Andrew being anti-registration and wanting to protect Skye.
That little dance Cal did after he found out his daughter went through Terrigenesis gave me SO MUCH LIFE. Kyle McLachlan is amazing in this role! He needs to be around for a long long time.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteoh nice, seems like more May/Skye bonding
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for this episode, I can barely breathe. I am *loving* the focus on May this season!

ReplyDeleteLooks like Skye is gonna be isolated from the rest of the team for a while. I love that May is there for her seriously she's more warm than S1.

ReplyDeleteOne of us! One of us! One of us!
ReplyDeleteplease let Skye out of that cage please please please!!! Cal and his Legion of Villains look so funny
ReplyDeleteI think this is the episode were Skye could possibly escape and I'm glad after fitz now may is there for Skye she needs all the support she can get
ReplyDeleteI hope in the future to have more Skye/Fitz scene!!! ;)

ReplyDeleteYAY for May/Skye alone time. Their interaction this year, easily one of the better things that has been handled in S2!
ReplyDeleteI think that might be an interesting take, as I'm pretty sure if Coulson takes the precautionary route with respect to Skye, he won't do so lightly...
ReplyDeleteMaybe Skye put herself in a cage because she doesn't trust her powers? I could see that happening. Bit like how Bruce Banner doesn't trust himself not to Hulk out.
ReplyDeleteCal is glorious, I absolutely love him and I hope he lasts the season because it would be great to see him in the future.
ReplyDeleteLots of May this episode, hell yes!
Could be the cage can stop the wider effects, if they were flying somewhere, I can't see her powers being good on the bus.
ReplyDeleteSlightly off topic, but news that has me just as happy, AoS will be starting on Irish tv this weekend, not bad, less than a week behind the US. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteCertainly the relationship with Skye and dealing with Coulson's issues in the first half has been good at filling out her character.

ReplyDeleteYES! finally May-centric ep! been waiting waaaay too long for this to happen, can't wait...so many unknowns hopefully come to light :D
