Can I comment that it's clearly not a coincidence that that Kree looking dude in the "Double Agent Webseies" looks quite a bit like Eddie McClintock and that this is the episode Eddie McClintock s guest starring in. Maybe he's another Inhuman...?
Simmons does not look happy. There's going to be a big argument when she finds out that Fitz lied to her about Skye's test results. I just hope we get it in this episode.
Well the pieces are starting to connect, the warrior Sif is fighting is probably there for Skye, as it seemed like in the promo Sif and Coulson already had injuries from a fight.
That's probably why they were arguing in the promo whe Lady Sif said "She's dangerous" she might want to take Skye with her just to protect the earth of a potential threat.
I think from memory she's lost her memories of the mission when the team has recovered her. She might think that she was sent after Skye once her powers show themselves (which would explain Coulson arguing with her), and then fighting Vin-tak.
thought it was that she'd fought him first (in Portugal?) and was defeated while being recorded which led to the team picking her up? Though I could be wrong.
Interesting photos, I hope there's at least 1 more sneak peak of the episode before Tuesday, can't wait to see it. I really want to see the teams reaction...
Yeah, the undercover mission is that she goes to Portugal, without her armor, to fight (and capture?) Vin-tak and the footage has been recorded and posted online. Coulson's team goes to the scene to investigate and thats when they find Sif.
It will be interesting if May and Coulson support Skye, we know Jemma is going to have issues, leaves the 3 new members as to how they will react. Think there's been mention in the interviews that their lack of time with Skye will influence them.
Honestly I do not know why people are being so impatient. I've seen people say they're dragging out Skye's secret when it has been, literally, one episode. I'd love to see how Skye and Fitz try to hide this and how keeping such a huge secret would weigh on them. And they'd both deal with that differently. Skye sees these people as her family whereas Fitz doesn't feel as connected to them as he used to.
According to the promo, it looks like Skye's powers get the best of her and we see Fitz, Bobbi, Mack, and Simmons start to freak out. I'm guessing the part where she says "I can't make it stop" and she shatters the glass behind her, is when it looks like she does it in front of everyone. Oh my poor Skye!! IMO, I don't want everyone to find out about her so soon. I love this kept secret between her and Fitz because it makes there bond of being different than everyone else stronger.
Like I said above, you will get so many complaining, I'd agree about having a couple more episodes, though I suppose again perhaps Avengers 2 might be forcing them to close up the storylines?
Yeah I guess. As for the reactions, we already know that Coulson and May will accept her because they're her father/mother. I'm pretty sure Bobbi will understand and will be there for her (I hope), Mack is honestly a wildcard after that blowup in the last episode, and Simmons is freaking me out with her "Kill anyone that has superpowers!!" persona that she has going on right now.
For Coulson though you have the fatherly feelings, but he's also the Director. Even if he doesn't want to there's going to be calls from Jemma/Mack (maybe more) about how dangerous she is. Pretty clear she's been locked up in the photos.
The things between Skye and Simmons will probably get more difficult. After her reaction in "Aftershocks", I doubt very much that she will accept the "new" Skye. I just want to shout at the ones who want to do Skye harm, to leave her alone.
I mean they didn't flat out say it was Vin-Tak that Sif was fighting in Portugal but it's a sure bet after reading the press release (and the guest stars). Also, you have Eddie McClintock playing him so that's another reason I think it's him.
I going to be difficult, I mean we have no way of knowing if civilians were injured, not too mention when they figure out that it was Skye that fractured Tripp. Messy all around considering the still raw feelings.
Oh shit I didn't even realize that she was locked up! What happened to the quarantine cell that she was in? Maybe they moved her to protect her from Vin-Tak because he was in the Playground and looking for her? God, I desperately need Tuesday's episode to know what the hell is going on.
I'd guess the quarantine cell stopped being an option when she shatters all the glass (presuming that losing control of her powers happens first and leads to her being put in the cell). Looks like the cell has been padded and such...
I think they've done it well as well. And I do like the fact that we are seeing a much different origin story than many hero stories. She's got a team surrounding her that have different opinions.
Idk, we don't get too many Fitz/Simmons scenes, so I'm not holding my breath for any kind of big argument when she finds out. I wouldn't be surprised if she just goes "I can't do this right now" and walks out. So jaded with them.
I loved the episode, and thought she fit it perfectly. And it was interesting seeing the different ways the different teammates approached her. I hope Bobbi's comments aren't just a fake out for what she's up to. Kind of would have liked Skye to talk to May but I can understand why she didn't. Fitz was brilliant I thought.
I don't know it looks a little familiar to me but anyway the fact that Coulson and May have her back and protect her make me smile and I love their relationship.
OMG those scenes at the end was amazing. I hope that Coulson has a good assurance policy because it looks like that Skye is going to break more than just 2 lamps.
I know but will the team acknowledge that, even Skye doesn't know what happened when she was in the cocoon, All she knows is that she shattered him (hell I'd bet Jemma would even take issue with that just as much as him being dead). I just think there's still plenty of issues that the team are going to have with Skye no matter how controlled she is.
I'd say it's a combination of factors, and to be honest if it's stress setting off the quakes, well it's a high stress environment, none of them are stupid, it's only "luck" that nobody looked at the alarms and saw the bouncing can for example.
We're gonna have to wait and see. But I'm afraid of one thing: The beginning of S2b, they put the bar so high, the level is really high, that after that Sky/Quake learn to control the powers thing it might idk get the quality of the show being down (if you know what I mean)
On the other hand, you have the potential for what Cal gets up to, what Raina will do to try and retaliate against Skye, the Avengers tie in, maybe more direct Inhuman action. Also given some of the comments I don't think you are going to see a "quick" learning curve. They've made a point about how TV instead of movie allows for more development about learning to control (the 3 minute Spiderman montage comment for example)
she has earthquake manipulation right, I wonder why are not getting any cracks in the floor. And if its light right now, then glass shouldn't be scattering, objects should be falling. It makes it seem like she has sonic blast powers atm.
Tripp was dead no matter what in that room, he wasn't going to change, like everyone else who didn't have inhuman blood in them they were gonna disintegrate when they touch that object. Within their world Skye and everyone around her should have this understanding, the logical understanding of their world. Skye being a hacker equals to her being above intelligence and well versed in the internet and research, and all she was researching before was people with powers and myhtos. she should know better too.
Exactly, if you have Sif running around then it's going to be stressful no matter what. Fitz covering once is understandable, but another "accident" looking at some of the promo footage, it looks like they may have been doing an op when she starts quaking.
I can't imagine that we won't get some kind of big confrontation when Simmons finds out Fitz lied to her. She's being so reactionary about people with powers right now, there's no way she's just going to let that slide.
Yes because the team that are still grieving for his death are going to take that view. Let alone they don't know, at best Skye can say "he was fine when I went into whatever, and when I broke lose he was shattered..." That's pretty much the extent of their knowledge.
If someone has powers, and they need to learn to control them, how can they learn without going somewhere far and experimenting the triggers and limits and controls. Within the show the best bet would be to be with he Inhumans or her father to learn control. Shield can help her if they accept her. They must have a large enough field to go out of control and train at. Anyway everything is still too new atm, lets wait for now.
Still seems like most cells they should come up would not be able to hold her if she really wanted to get out, even if she can't control her powers. But I suppose she's not probably not at the emotional state yet to completely disregard them, which is why they probably have the option at all.
Yea, now that she's free and around the others, it's very likely she'll slip and quake in front of them. I guess they could have had it happen in battle and assume that Sif did it or something, but that would get old real fast.
I think it would be insulting to be honest, these are highly trained agents that are at least meant to notice strange events, they've already seen 1 quake with Skye in the middle of it, another in where ever they are? It would be a big jump to miss that IMO.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Aw at that picture of Mama May and Skye.
ReplyDeleteOh damn that fight scene between Vin-Tak and Bobbi!! Run, Skye, run! Love that May is helping her out.
ReplyDeleteCan I comment that it's clearly not a coincidence that that Kree looking dude in the "Double Agent Webseies" looks quite a bit like Eddie McClintock and that this is the episode Eddie McClintock s guest starring in. Maybe he's another Inhuman...?

ReplyDeleteWell the pieces are starting to connect, the warrior Sif is fighting is probably there for Skye, as it seemed like in the promo Sif and Coulson already had injuries from a fight.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. This pretty much confirms that Vin-tak is after Skye and everyone, including Sif is there to protect her.
ReplyDeleteThat's probably why they were arguing in the promo whe Lady Sif said "She's dangerous" she might want to take Skye with her just to protect the earth of a potential threat.
ReplyDeleteBtw no one noticed it but Lady Sif is wearing regular clothes.
ReplyDeleteI think from the brief, she's injured at the start and recovered by the team, which would explain the normal clothes instead of Asgard armour.
ReplyDeleteI think from memory she's lost her memories of the mission when the team has recovered her. She might think that she was sent after Skye once her powers show themselves (which would explain Coulson arguing with her), and then fighting Vin-tak.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that she's on an undercover mission when she comes to Earth so that's why she doesn't have her armor on.
ReplyDeleteYeah, not just with Fitz, how is the relationship between Skye and her play out given the comments? Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeletethought it was that she'd fought him first (in Portugal?) and was defeated while being recorded which led to the team picking her up? Though I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos, I hope there's at least 1 more sneak peak of the episode before Tuesday, can't wait to see it. I really want to see the teams reaction...
ReplyDeletei dont know what's going on but im so excited! YES!

ReplyDeleteWe haven't gotten any speak peeks yet so I'm pretty sure we'll get one tonight.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I do not know why people are being so impatient.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of good story there.
Ah was that it, though I'm not sure how you hide the sword in casual earth clothes...
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping, I'm really liking they way they are doing this.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the promo, it looks like Skye's powers get the best of her and we see Fitz, Bobbi, Mack, and Simmons start to freak out.
ReplyDeleteTrue though, then there'd be complaints about dragging it out, like many things, it's no win I'd guess.
ReplyDeleteMama May AWESOME!!!!!
ReplyDeletetrue that
ReplyDeleteLike I said above, you will get so many complaining, I'd agree about having a couple more episodes, though I suppose again perhaps Avengers 2 might be forcing them to close up the storylines?

ReplyDeletethe warrior's name is Vin-Tak? how do you know?
ReplyDeletenice description of everyone LOL
ReplyDeleteFor Coulson though you have the fatherly feelings, but he's also the Director. Even if he doesn't want to there's going to be calls from Jemma/Mack (maybe more) about how dangerous she is. Pretty clear she's been locked up in the photos.
ReplyDeleteyeah i did, it's both her and the warrior. Strange isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThe things between Skye and Simmons will probably get more difficult. After her reaction in "Aftershocks", I doubt very much that she will accept the "new" Skye.
ReplyDeleteI just want to shout at the ones who want to do Skye harm, to leave her alone.

ReplyDeleteI want Sif's jacket
ReplyDeleteI going to be difficult, I mean we have no way of knowing if civilians were injured, not too mention when they figure out that it was Skye that fractured Tripp. Messy all around considering the still raw feelings.
ReplyDeleteBut they talked about memory loss too so I guess it will happen in that episode. An Asgardien going undercover on earth? That sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI really love the mix lol
ReplyDeleteOh shit I didn't even realize that she was locked up! What happened to the quarantine cell that she was in? Maybe they moved her to protect her from Vin-Tak because he was in the Playground and looking for her? God, I desperately need Tuesday's episode to know what the hell is going on.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I really love Skye's storyline especially those special effects are amazing seriously they are doing a terrific job on this show.
ReplyDeleteI'd guess the quarantine cell stopped being an option when she shatters all the glass (presuming that losing control of her powers happens first and leads to her being put in the cell). Looks like the cell has been padded and such...
ReplyDeleteI agree completely that I can't wait...
I remember they mentioned it in one of the movies (Thor if I'm not mistaken)
ReplyDeleteI think they've done it well as well. And I do like the fact that we are seeing a much different origin story than many hero stories. She's got a team surrounding her that have different opinions.
ReplyDeleteIdk, we don't get too many Fitz/Simmons scenes, so I'm not holding my breath for any kind of big argument when she finds out. I wouldn't be surprised if she just goes "I can't do this right now" and walks out. So jaded with them.
ReplyDeleteBtw isn't it the second time she's in that cell?
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more of them dealing with this secret! I was actually kind of sad when I realized people are going to start finding out next week.
ReplyDeleteMy poor Skye she didn't want any of this to happen. She made me cry and the episode was so good that I watched it 3 times.
ReplyDeleteI loved the episode, and thought she fit it perfectly. And it was interesting seeing the different ways the different teammates approached her. I hope Bobbi's comments aren't just a fake out for what she's up to. Kind of would have liked Skye to talk to May but I can understand why she didn't. Fitz was brilliant I thought.
ReplyDeleteI don't know it looks a little familiar to me but anyway the fact that Coulson and May have her back and protect her make me smile and I love their relationship.
ReplyDeleteWell, Tripp was already dead when the earthquake fractured his remains. And Simmons has become obsessed by a radical belief/idée fixe (she sounds like a member of Hydra/a Nazi) and she won't cease from it so soon.
ReplyDeleteI just wanna protect Skye.
OMG those scenes at the end was amazing. I hope that Coulson has a good assurance policy because it looks like that Skye is going to break more than just 2 lamps.
ReplyDeleteIs that covered in SHIELD Incidentals like hijacking?
ReplyDeleteI know but will the team acknowledge that, even Skye doesn't know what happened when she was in the cocoon, All she knows is that she shattered him (hell I'd bet Jemma would even take issue with that just as much as him being dead). I just think there's still plenty of issues that the team are going to have with Skye no matter how controlled she is.
ReplyDeleteWell they need to update their contract. Have a section dedicated to superheroes lol
ReplyDeleteI'd say it's a combination of factors, and to be honest if it's stress setting off the quakes, well it's a high stress environment, none of them are stupid, it's only "luck" that nobody looked at the alarms and saw the bouncing can for example.
ReplyDeleteMaybe after Cap took out the three Carriers, they've looked at it, or just the Avengers in New York.
ReplyDeleteThough I think the explanation would take more than the little box on the forms.
We're gonna have to wait and see. But I'm afraid of one thing: The beginning of S2b, they put the bar so high, the level is really high, that after that Sky/Quake learn to control the powers thing it might idk get the quality of the show being down (if you know what I mean)

They've made a point about how TV instead of movie allows for more development about learning to control (the 3 minute Spiderman montage comment for example)
ReplyDeleteI agree. But I just wanna protect her from everything even the team...
ReplyDeleteYeah, she's freaking me out, too...
ReplyDeleteit looks like The Bus interrogation room
ReplyDeleteThat's true. I'd rather them find out now then have ridiculous plot contrivances keeping them from finding out.
ReplyDeleteshe has earthquake manipulation right, I wonder why are not getting any cracks in the floor. And if its light right now, then glass shouldn't be scattering, objects should be falling.
ReplyDeleteIt makes it seem like she has sonic blast powers atm.
Skye should protect herself and not fall to the old laws anymore. If they want to quarantine her, she should say no.
ReplyDeleteTripp was dead no matter what in that room, he wasn't going to change, like everyone else who didn't have inhuman blood in them they were gonna disintegrate when they touch that object.
ReplyDeleteWithin their world Skye and everyone around her should have this understanding, the logical understanding of their world.
ReplyDeleteI think the understanding is that the Mist wouldn't have hurt Trip, if he hadn't kicked the Obelisk he would have survived.
ReplyDeleteThat has the potential for moving more against her. Trying to force the issue will backfire on her.
ReplyDeleteif so, he kicked it, his tragic fault. He knew the risks of his job.
ReplyDeleteAnd when it does, you know who is on your side. If she were to want to leave and figure things out on her, would they let her?
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine that we won't get some kind of big confrontation when Simmons finds out Fitz lied to her. She's being so reactionary about people with powers right now, there's no way she's just going to let that slide.
ReplyDeleteYes because the team that are still grieving for his death are going to take that view. Let alone they don't know, at best Skye can say "he was fine when I went into whatever, and when I broke lose he was shattered..." That's pretty much the extent of their knowledge.
ReplyDeleteShe was let out of the quarantine cell at the end of Aftershocks after Fitz switched her blood sample
ReplyDeleteIf someone has powers, and they need to learn to control them, how can they learn without going somewhere far and experimenting the triggers and limits and controls. Within the show the best bet would be to be with he Inhumans or her father to learn control. Shield can help her if they accept her. But I suppose she's not probably not at the emotional state yet to completely disregard them, which is why they probably have the option at all.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! When they were trading stories about Triplett. "We're gonna laugh a lot less" :(
ReplyDeleteThat's true. I hope you're right! I really want them to have a scene together, I'm just not hopeful we'll get it.
ReplyDeleteYea, now that she's free and around the others, it's very likely she'll slip and quake in front of them. I guess they could have had it happen in battle and assume that Sif did it or something, but that would get old real fast.

ReplyDeleteYeah, they've been awfully stingy with the FitzSimmons scenes this season, but I think this episode was setting up a really juicy one.
ReplyDeleteWhere's fitz :(
ReplyDeleteHOOLYY SH!!!T, IS THAT LADY SIF IN JEANS????
ReplyDeleteSif with her sword, Bobbi with her batons... oh yeah!
ReplyDeleteyeah the one they kinda locked up that women in S1.
ReplyDeleteI really really really want you to be right!
ReplyDeleteVery good effects! Specially compared to poor OUAT, which I love but lol the fairy stuff always kills me.
ReplyDelete
