I would watch Suicide Squad but not any of those other spinoffs based on Arrow. I want those characters to stay where they are, except for Malcolm, Malcolm should die. If True Origins were centric around Pam and Eric I would absolutely watch. Otherwise no.
"Once Upon A Time in Transylvania" - Really?!?! Out of all the possible OuaT spin-offs the only option is a Doctor Whale one... who most fans don't particularly like?!?! Sounds like something Eddy & Adam would do.
I'd perfer literally anything else. OuaT in Arendelle. OuaT in Oz. OuaT in Neverland (but that'd have to be a prequel).
I'd like some sort of Teen Wolf spin-off. What ever happened to that Kira spin-off that Jeff Davis bought up about a year ago? That would have been fun!
Lost Girl - Lauren/Dyson/Kenzi spin off. Bo is dead and left her son/daughter wiht Lauren because Dyson is MIA. Bo's teenages child runs away and teams up with Kenzi (she not aware who this teen is). Dyson finds out by chance and teams up with Lauren.
So many good options. I voted for Suicide Squad, this would be awesome!!! And voted for Supernatural Origins as well, because these 4 together are insane and imagine them in the past fighting against all the evil. The clothes would be awesome and the soundtrack would be amazing!!!
An X-Force TV show would be feasible, however the characters used would have to be picked from a limited bunch who could use powers that wouldn't drain the budget through special effects. Good prosthetics for X-23's claws could last for a show's entire run, Rogue's power wouldn't need huge effects and then there's characters like Domino who aren't superpowered (to my knowledge) but are just trained in combat. Personally I'd love to see Psylocke in an X-Force TV show but I don't think they'd have the budget.
Something else for Marvel Would be great. There's so many good characters that would would make for an interesting eight episode miniseries during the AOS hiatus.
If the rumors about Grant Ward being the MCU version of Taskmaster turn out to be true I would really like if they move him to his own limited series. Grant Ward is interesting character that I would like to see more of. At the same time keeping him around AOS is causing a strain. Giving him a short limited series may solve those issues and they could always have him do a guest spot occasionally on AOS if they need him.
Another option is a series about Peter Parker's parents set in the early 2000's regarding their work and their disappearance. This is a good way to set up the character for the MCU but do something that hasn't been done before on screen. If they insist on using Peter Parker again do something different. Make it a corporate conspiracy/spy thriller that focuses on the Parkers to differentiate other shows about superheroes before they become superheroes. Because the actress who plays Melinda May ages in reverse and looks younger than she did when she was on ER, Agent May could make an appearance as one of the SHIELD agents investigating. a 8 Episode miniseries would be just the right length to tell the story.
I'd love an OUAT spin-off but not that one. I'd like to see a spin-off of The 100 too centering on either the war leading to the nuclear apocalypse or a group of survivors immediately after it.
Supernatural Origins! I loved the comic of that (the other Supernatural spin off options made me laugh. Who the crap thought those up? Haha). The Walking Dead spin off sounds incredible! I'd love to see the zombie outbreak in Alaska!
I'd want a Supernatural prequel, but set in the Old West. I am still butthurt over Bloodlines not being a thing because I saw a lot of potential in that.
I'd love to see The Atom get a spin-off and while Suicide Squad sounds like a good idea, in the end I don't think much can be do with a series centered on SS's missions, unless we get only a 13-episode arc or something similar to what's going on with Agent Carter. Also, Bronze Tiger died in the tie-in comics so he won't be showing up! Lol.
I voted for Chicago: MD and Other, but I think Chicago Hope gave people all the Chicago medical drama we need to see. I didn't care for any of these choices, to be honest. If there's going to be another TVD spin-off, I'd rather it be about Bonnie and another minor TVD character facing supernaturals that the fandom hasn't seen before, along with the ones we have seen. But definitely no Davina. I'm pretty sure a spin-off with Elijah by himself would be boring, especially if it's political. Elijah is at his best when he's saving people he loves.
LOL. is someone fielding ideas for pilot scripts. :-). suicide squad and poi:la were my picks.. they killed off the only supernatural characters i wanted to see in a spin off...Bobby and
-Suicide Squad spin-off would be awesome. I've actually thought about them doing this lots of times. They cycle characters off all the time -Roy shouldn't get a spinoff called Teen titans since their already in production of making a live action TT show. But it would be cool if he could crossover onto that show. -Xavier Institute would be awesome as well. Seeing Proffesor X's students come up would be really nice to see - Artemis spin off would be cool to see but she could just join the Titans show as well. But if they did give her her own show she would have to be featured in Arrow to get fans excited about her.
Along with a 20 something Christian Shephard, Margo Shephard, Carole/Lindsey Littleton, Anthony Cooper, Emily Locke, Adam Rutherford, Sabrina Carlyle, Mary Ford, Charles Widmore, Eloise Hawking, Danielle Rousseau, Ben Linus, Sgt Sam Austen, Diane Austen, Wayne Jansen, Tito and David Reyes, Mr. Kwon, Simon and Megan Pace, Mr. & Mrs. Walter Dawson, Mr & Mrs Paik and Mr & Mrs Jarrah.
Outbreak - TWD but would also love to see a 'spinoff' for Game of Thrones pre-Baratheon take over i.e. the Battle of the Trident and what happened with Lyanna and the three original Dragons but I guess we wont get that because of the writer.
My only vote is for a Once Upon A Time spinoff, preferably with Ruby the Werewolf and Doctor Whale as the lead characters, although I would also like to see spinoffs for Frozen, Atlantis/Mermaids/Pirates, or Aladdin. And I will settle for the Wonderland spinoff finally being released down here.
It felt like USA gave up on the show well before this season. I could be wrong, but it seemed like there were fewer promos and ads for the show than there had been in earlier seasons. It seemed like the die had already been cast. It didn't seem like USA wanted the show to continue.
RE: AuggieAuggie (esp. in earlier seasons) was Annie's "home base". The two had a great on-screen (and, according to Chris, off-screen) relationship. This was the glue of the show. Chris Gorham's portrayal of a blind disabled vet turned CIA handler just got better and better each season, but the show/writers didn't capitalize on it. The show went too far afield from the talented core cast they had in the earlier seasons - Kari Matchett, Peter Gallagher, Chris Gorham, (Oded Fehr), and, of course, Piper Perabo. Instead, the writers disrupted the natural progressions of relationships (ones that had fans invested) and kept inserting new (and often extraneous) characters (most of which got killed off after 1 season).
Chris Gorham brought a lot of fans to the show. I believe if the show adopted something similar to it's earlier format (less serialization, more DPD) and the Annie AND Auggie characters were both given equal billing, I think Covert Affairs would succeed. As a #Walkerson shipper at heart, the A/A relationship is close to my heart, but that's not a deal breaker.
Short of a full blown continuance of Covert Affairs, however, I think Chris Gorham's "Auggie" was a strong enough character to be able to carry a show. I'm married to a blind guy and I notice the little things. Believe me, Chris did a superb job of portraying the ups and downs of both blindness and being a disabled vet "Supergeek", "superhandler", "blindness not an obstacle - or at least one that can be worked around". Those are draws. Bring back as many main characters as will come, add a few new ones, and you've got a good show.
If they were to spin it off it would be almost impossible to do without Annie. What kind of cases will he take on each week? The rest of the cast? Love interest? While the writers of CO did great job writing recurring character and guest stars, i cant' see who would support Auggie. And then of course there's thing where USA wants there to be atleast one action sequence an episode. You are right about him and Annie getting equal focus earlier, that's why the show worked so well. Niether character can stand on their own, even now (well, maybe the Jessica Matthews alter ego). While I enjoy the espionage (the talking, secret meetings etc.), new fans wouldn't appreciate it much less follow.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Suicide Squad !!
ReplyDelete"Once Upon A Time in Oz", definitely.
ReplyDeleteI would watch Suicide Squad but not any of those other spinoffs based on Arrow. I want those characters to stay where they are, except for Malcolm, Malcolm should die.
ReplyDeleteIf True Origins were centric around Pam and Eric I would absolutely watch. Otherwise no.
I am ready for a X-Men Show. Yes. Thank You.
ReplyDeleteThe original (vampire diaries spinoff only about the original families) not the crap we have about jumping bodies.
ReplyDeleteNone...keep all the good storylines for the main show to keep it awesome 👍
ReplyDeleteWow some really interesting suggestions!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love POI, the option in the poll is just terrible.
ReplyDeleteIn theory, so am I. But I have serious doubts it's feasible in a satisfactory way with live-action on a tv budget.
ReplyDelete"Once Upon A Time in Transylvania" - Really?!?! Out of all the possible OuaT spin-offs the only option is a Doctor Whale one... who most fans don't particularly like?!?! Sounds like something Eddy & Adam would do.
ReplyDeleteI'd perfer literally anything else.
TVD: Wickedville (Bonnie/Davina centric witch spin-off),SPN-Origins,Suicide Squad & SPN-Fallen.Rest of them sounds real bad.
ReplyDeleteLost Girl - Lauren/Dyson/Kenzi spin off. Bo is dead and left her son/daughter wiht Lauren because Dyson is MIA. Bo's teenages child runs away and teams up with Kenzi (she not aware who this teen is). Dyson finds out by chance and teams up with Lauren.
ReplyDeleteI'd only want Suicide Squad if Diggle was in it.
ReplyDeleteSo many good options. I voted for Suicide Squad, this would be awesome!!! And voted for Supernatural Origins as well, because these 4 together are insane and imagine them in the past fighting against all the evil. The clothes would be awesome and the soundtrack would be amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteSome good ideas, some terrible (Bonnie and Davina spin off? Really?)

ReplyDeleteArrow- Suicide Squad
ReplyDeleteSupernatural- Spin off based on Samuel Colt
LOST: Prequel (Jacob, MiB & Richard Alpert centric)
ReplyDeleteor just Richard Alpert centric
ReplyDeleteor just something LOST...
ReplyDeleteSomething else for Marvel Would be great. There's so many good characters that would would make for an interesting eight episode miniseries during the AOS hiatus.

Chris Gorham in an Auggie-centric spin off of Covert Affairs.
ReplyDeleteCurious. How would that work?
ReplyDeleteLost!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love an OUAT spin-off but not that one. I'd like to see a spin-off of The 100 too centering on either the war leading to the nuclear apocalypse or a group of survivors immediately after it.
ReplyDeleteMay i have one more option please?
ReplyDelete+Person Of Interest (Root-Shaw relevant numbers or irrelevant --> LA)!
Suicide Squad, a Supernatural spin-off featuring Benny, and a Supernatural prequel featuring Samuel Colt.
ReplyDeleteI choose no more spinoff/remakes I wish Hollywood would hire some original thinkers and create something new
ReplyDeleteReally none.
ReplyDeleteOUAT in Oz and OUAT in Arendelle ♥
ReplyDeleteI don't think POI is in a place where it could have a spinoff now, not without getting rid of Samaritan.
ReplyDeleteVampire Diaries: Wickedville (Bonnie/Davina centric witch spin-off)
ReplyDeleteSupernatural Origins! I loved the comic of that (the other Supernatural spin off options made me laugh. Who the crap thought those up? Haha). The Walking Dead spin off sounds incredible! I'd love to see the zombie outbreak in Alaska!
ReplyDeleteChicago MD, TWD spin offs and Once Upon a Time in Transilvanya
ReplyDeleteOuat inTransylvania i don think so could be arendelle
ReplyDeleteSuicide squad and X force, got my votes.
ReplyDeleteThe adventures of Tim and Rachel (Justified).
ReplyDeleteIt's Rogue, not Rouge.
ReplyDeleteLiterally none of these choices.
ReplyDeleteI'd want a Supernatural prequel, but set in the Old West. I am still butthurt over Bloodlines not being a thing because I saw a lot of potential in that.

From the list:
ReplyDeleteSPN Origins. (if not in the combo listed then a Bobby/Rufus in the early years spin off... but only If Kripke is involved...)
Suicide Squad
Not on the list:
A Marvels' Howling Commandos would be something I'd ABSOLUTELLY watch.
I voted for Chicago: MD and Other, but I think Chicago Hope gave people all the Chicago medical drama we need to see. I didn't care for any of these choices, to be honest. But definitely no Davina. I'm pretty sure a spin-off with Elijah by himself would be boring, especially if it's political. Elijah is at his best when he's saving people he loves.
ReplyDeleteI don't like spin-offs much but a Supernatural Origins one done right (Kripke come back!) and TWD in Alaska would be interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see a Samuel Colt spin-off from Supernatural!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL. is someone fielding ideas for pilot scripts. :-). suicide squad and poi:la were my picks.. they killed off the only supernatural characters i wanted to see in a spin off...Bobby and
ReplyDeleteI think a spin-off with John, Bob and Ruffus would be totally awesome! and who know with the Ellen's husband in the recurring cast.
ReplyDeleteSo you don't want Root in tight leather pants kicking butts on almost crashing planes :P
ReplyDeleteI like him
ReplyDeletebut I submitted this poll WAY before the Frozen storyline even started
submitted that poll quite a while ago, like last season
ReplyDeleteYeah that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteNone of the besides the already established comic book ones, and even those I hated when it came out, and some I would of hated when they came out.
ReplyDeleteAnything LOST .... and Frostbite seems really cool and x:men
ReplyDeleteI'd go in for a Suicide Squad summer series but that's about it from this list.
ReplyDeleteSuicide Squad, Injustice League and Outlaw Avengers!
ReplyDeleteFor POI: the adventures of Bear.
ReplyDelete-Suicide Squad spin-off would be awesome. I've actually thought about them doing this lots of times. They cycle characters off all the time

- Artemis spin off would be cool to see but she could just join the Titans show as well. But if they did give her her own show she would have to be featured in Arrow to get fans excited about her.
Domino is superpowered. Her power is she has really good luck (which would be very easy to pull off)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see them all on the show - John, Bobby, Rufus, the Harvelles, Pastor Jim, etc.
ReplyDeleteNone I'm sick of spinoffs. I'd rather see an original idea.
ReplyDeleteAlong with a 20 something Christian Shephard, Margo Shephard, Carole/Lindsey Littleton, Anthony Cooper, Emily Locke, Adam Rutherford, Sabrina Carlyle, Mary Ford, Charles Widmore, Eloise Hawking, Danielle Rousseau, Ben Linus, Sgt Sam Austen, Diane Austen, Wayne Jansen, Tito and David Reyes, Mr. Kwon, Simon and Megan Pace, Mr. & Mrs. Walter Dawson, Mr & Mrs Paik and Mr & Mrs Jarrah.
ReplyDeleteTrue Orgins- I was a big fan of true blood never missed an episode
ReplyDeleteThe original (vampire diaries spinoff only about the original families). All the real Originals
ReplyDeleteeliot ness spin off: Supernatural: Chicago.
ReplyDelete7x12
Chicago MD would be HILARIOUS because Jesse Spencer can transfer from Fire and be like, "I've been here before..."
ReplyDeletePerson of Interest but with Shaw & Root. They deserve their own spin-off!
ReplyDeleteOutbreak - TWD but would also love to see a 'spinoff' for Game of Thrones pre-Baratheon take over i.e. the Battle of the Trident and what happened with Lyanna and the three original Dragons but I guess we wont get that because of the writer.

ReplyDeleteSuicide Squad.
ReplyDeleteI still want to see that CGIS spin-off about Agent Borin from NCIS!
ReplyDelete
