I was a huge fan before of both Green Arrow and Flash comics. I really think it enhances the experience as you get to see all the really obscure references and where they are getting the source material from. I end up being a bit of a guru for other fans as they'll ask me how something was represented or I'll be able to show them panels that were brilliantly transferred from page to screen.
I have almost complete run of The Flash going back to the first issue of the Wally West series, not so much early Green Arrow except crossovers with Green Lantern or other titles I used to collect but do have all the current series and the TV show spin off comics too. I stopped collecting printed comics several years ago but still get them electronically.
This was an interesting Arrow poll as opposed to the usual shipper-tinged/character bashing ones.
For me it will be a two part answer.
For Arrow I was aware of certain basic premise of Green Arrow before the show but hadn't really read much. After the show premiered though I read up on most of the old school stuff (won't touch New 52)
Flash, again aware of the basics, but haven't really read much of the comics yet.
When I was 9, an uncle gave me many comics. I remember having Marvel vs DC, Batman, Spiderman issues. I've been a fan of both Marvel and DC since then. I'm really happy Marvel movies were and are successful. Because of that, tv networks decided to order shows based on comics. I know some people think that there are already too many series based on them, but I can't get enough. I want to watch them all. While Arrow and The Flash are doing great, unfortunately Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. started in a great way and then lost many viewers. Poor Agent Carter and Constantine. Their results make think they won't return for a second season.
If one day Marvel and Warner Broscould a find a deal to bring to life 'Marvel vs. DC' and 'DC vs. Marvel', that would be great. I know besides their "fight", there are problems with Fox (which owns X-Men rights). So even if Marvel and DC decided to make movies based on those series cross-overs, Wolverine and Storm wouldn't appear, unless Fox allows it.
Never read the comics. Not gonna. I love stuff based on comics, but there's way too much retconning and rewriting in comics for me, and too much to catch up on - I'm obsessive with things, and I wouldn't be able to stop reading until I'd read everything involving that character, and no. Too time consuming, and expensive. And then I'd be driven crazy anyway, because this is his weakness in this comic, but now it's this, and she's got new powers and when did that happen, and he's been in love with this woman for like thirty years, literally, are they ever going on a date? TV shows like Arrow and The Flash give the stuff I like about comic books in a form I can enjoy, rather than one that drives me up a wall.
Which is to say, no, I haven't read the comics, because my own personal set of quirks are not conducive to being a comics fan.
I read a few comics as a kid but not in many years. I have to google every new villain and hero the shows bring in. Just to get some kind of idea of their relationship to our favorites. My mom made me wear dresses in elementary school and I remember having a worn out comic in one pocket and a hotwheel car in the other. TMI, I know. Now I'm feeling nostalgic for some mom time.
I was never into comic books as a kid. Probably because I'm extremely dyslexic and my reading abilities did not improved drastically until I was about age 14 or 15. Pleasure reading was a frustrating concept. I read a few graphic novels in college for required classes but still didn't get into it. The Marvel movies came out and I was interested enough to start researching the comic book history of the characters but still not ready to pick up a comic book yet. Then Agents of SHIELD started using characters that really required you to bookmark the Marvel wiki and I became even more intrigued but had no idea where I should start. Thing came the new SHIELD comic book with Canon immigrants of all my favorite characters from the show and it gave me a good point to begin reading the comic books. I'm sure before the end of the year I'll have a Marvel Unlimited subscription and maybe I'll move on to some of the DC properties as well. I was kind of obsessed with the Batman Beyond cartoon in high school.
Before, but mainly Batman. I didn't really start branching out until I liked Arrow. Then when The Flash was announced I started reading Flash stuff (started with Rebirth). That being said I've always had some knowledge of comics and characters thanks to the DCAU, and the original animated movies. But really didn't start reading more until Arrow and The Flash got me to.
I don't know if GA enters the Convergence run. For what i know it's just for a few numbers and then we'll go back to the New 52... I know Ray's Atom is coming. But don't know about GA or Black Canary...
Tbh, i'm about to drop GA... Lemire's run was incredible but now Kreisberg took it again and turned it into Arrow: Thecomicbook version. I'm not happy about it.

Pre-Flashpoint Oliver Queen and Connor Hawke does show up. There will be a Green Arrow mini set around the time of Zero Hour (which if my memory is correct, this is around the time Oliver died)
I figure the best chance for pre-Flashpoint Black Canary will be in the Nightwing/Oracle mini. Babs was Dinah's Maid of Honor, you'd think she'd return the favor no?

Ooops you meant the specific titles. I don't know if my answer of 'yes' counts or not. I read the Flash title for a little bit (until they killed off one of the Flashes - Barry Allen I think) but I haven't read it in decades. Never read the Green Arrow book. But for a long time I was an avid DC Comics reader (stopped reading Marvel when I was about 16.) Does my yes count?

Well comics retcon/rewrite themselves every 8 hours so It doesn't matter if the show follows them or not.

I read comics like Bunty and Archie. lol. I was addicted to them. And my brothers' Spiderman comics. Never read the Flash before and don't plan on it.
