Amazing !
ReplyDeleteI hope they will kill some of the pointless new characters and keep the characters that are actually interesting
They better not touch my Carol
Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI say Y-E-S!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad they're doing that just like HBO did that with the GoT season 4 finale.
Amazing !!!
ReplyDeleteWonder who will die if any
Rick
Carl
Judith
Michonne
Daryl
Carol
Glen
Maggie
Sasha
Abraham
Rosita
Eugene
Tara
Gabriel
Don't forget about Aaron, Eric, and all the new characters we'll be getting over the next few episodes ;)
ReplyDeleteSo glad that they're finally going back to extended episodes for the big ones! There's been a few episodes that very desperately needed some extra time.
ReplyDeleteI know Mazzara had an anti-extension rule -- glad to see Gimple's finally reversing that.
If they're following comic Canon. Glen may well die in the finale. Carol should have died a long time ago. So she's entirely possible, but they're miking Daryl mourning Beth at the mo. If he loses Carol too he'd probably off himself.
ReplyDeleteSacha and Tara don't exist in the comic, so they could go. As could Noah. Judith also should have died a long long time ago. But I think she will take Sophias role, Abe may also be on borrowed time. I'm pretty sure it's between him and Glen for the finale. I don't want either to go :-(
Can't believe there is only 5 more episodes left this season.
ReplyDelete90 minutes with or without adversting ?
ReplyDeleteIf anything, I'm thinking that the finale will cover the No Way Out arc, in which case, none of the main characters should be dying (unless the show wants to off tv-exclusives like Noah, Tara, and Sasha).
ReplyDeleteIt's too early for Glenn and Abraham. I'm guessing you're alluding to the Something to Fear arc with them? It's way too soon for that. So much material at Alexandria the show would be skipping then.
I think tv-Carol is here to stay for a good while. She seems to have become one of the principal characters, and they've had several opportunities to kill her off but haven't.
My guess is that we'll see some of the Alexandrians die, and maybe one or two characters exclusive to the show. Morgan will probably finally reappear. A certain traumatic event for Carl will occur.
90 minutes with advertising. Remove commercials and it'll probably be roughly 60 minutes instead of the usual 43.
ReplyDeleteI guess Alexandria wont last long D:
ReplyDeleteSuper!
ReplyDeleteI will break everything in my house if Carol dies. Everyone better save her the way she saved them!
ReplyDeleteOh great, it will crush the whole competition :(
ReplyDeletemore like 60 minutes of show and 30 mins of commercials
ReplyDeletePlease let Carol die. She is so worn out
ReplyDeleteyeah but HBO didn't cut into commercials every 5mins so in actually we only get a additional 15 mins of show
ReplyDeleteObviously you haven't read the graphic novels. All of the characters that you're calling pointless are actually a huge part of the story line for the walking dead.
ReplyDeleteIt will last long.
ReplyDeleteThere's just so many stories set at the Alexandria Safe-zone, Robert kirkman would be stupid to throw them all out the window.
In the comics, Rick's group reached the Alexandria Safe-zone in Issue 69.
The latest Issue to come out was 137.
They're STILL at Alexandria Safe-zone in issue 137.
When starting next season?
ReplyDeleteActually i did not even name any characters, but ok ... i have not read graphic novels, but that does not change the fact that priest and Eugene are most annoying characters in TWD in very long time and Tara/Rosita/Abraham did not do anything big yet so they are pointless so far.
ReplyDeleteBut TWD made great progress with some characters (Carol, Beth) so who knows, maybe these characters will be my favorites next year :D
What? Carol has probably the best character development in history of tv shows
ReplyDeleteLikely in October like season 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
ReplyDelete( ends in March so a 7 month break )
eh, they'll fill that time up with more commercials. Commercials are killing the show.
ReplyDeleteTara is amazing okay? And Abraham Rosita and Eugene have bigger roles than you give em credit for considering how big they are in the comics
ReplyDeleteCarol wont die, it looks like Carol and Michonne have taken the storylines from Andrea (comics) and Andrea still is alive in the comics so...
ReplyDeleteThe end of 5th season end the beginning of the 6th.When it's gonna happen?
ReplyDeletewow, You know the half of them is very important for the story...
ReplyDeleteExactly!! Just like how big the character of Tyreese was in the comics!
ReplyDeleteTrue...I could see the last scene being Rick slitting that guys throat, looking up covered in blood and saying "What?"
ReplyDeleteOr maybe we will get that before the last episode. I just hope to god we get it :-)
Thank god. That means he's toast can't stand him...
ReplyDeleteThe knee everyone wants rid of. Abe, Gabriel etc are two of the best actors on the cast. They have some fab stories coming up and the show would be far worse without them. Now we're getting more strong actors, instead of the dead weight that was Chad and Emily...
ReplyDeleteKill Carol and keep that dried-out cash cow Daryl alive? Yeah. Sure.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Any extra Dead we can get is great!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully a cutback on commercials it seems you only view 30mins of Walking Dead the rest are adds..
ReplyDeleteWow they are already talking season finale in March we just got back
ReplyDeleteI'd be absolutely happy to have the finale be Rick murdering Pete and just that. But I figure AMC would think the fans would be disappointed by that and ramp things into No Way Out. I'd love for the pacing to slow from here on out.
ReplyDeleteIf it were up to me, No Way Out wouldn't happen until mid-s6.
Don't forget Sasha. Comic-Andrea seems to have been split pretty evenly between Carol, Michonne, and Sasha. I can dig it.
ReplyDeleteSuper awesome, yay!
ReplyDeleteAwesome.
ReplyDeleteAre you high? It's way too early for Negan to show up.
ReplyDeleteIf Carol dies, so does my soul.
ReplyDeleteno that mean we get 1hr 5 min of show 43 min current pls extra 22 min from 30 min take 8 min for comercial
ReplyDeleteI know this show is taking a new direction but so far that direction is a downward spiral into I don't know what. Let's hope Morgan plays a big part in the finale.
ReplyDeleteif they want to do something great they should kill Rick or Carl
ReplyDeleteI know RK has said that we won't see him this season. And we probably won't. I'm also well aware that a/ the show is moving forward quickly
ReplyDeleteb/ Gimple is a big comic fan and wants to stay close to source
c/ they show some comic moments out of sync. Mostly because of how previous show runners have handled other events. But it's not inconceivable for them to switch the time of events around. It wouldn't be the first time.
d/ with no main characters dying since 4x08 they are due a major character death, so it's logical that they let Glen or Abe go the way their comic counterparts have, rather than waste a character for no reason.
I liked Carol until 5x01 when they turned her into an absurd Mary Sue. Now I'm just waiting for her to die...
ReplyDeleteMe too....the only problem with slow pacing is that we have to deal with the likes of people who loved the Grady arc, but hated 4x09, 5x10 and 5x11 :-(
ReplyDeleteI want Judith to have her comic death, but I'm pretty sure she's going to take Sofia's role...
ReplyDeleteI kind of/sort of agree.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be AWESOME! As usual
ReplyDeleteThere are people who liked the Grady arc?
ReplyDeleteNo, they won't. The show is always at least 40 minutes long, with usually under 20 minutes of commercials. So, the season finale will be a full hour long with about 30 minutes of commercials; this is always how it is, if the commercials seem like they're taking up more of the show than that, then it's just your imagination.
ReplyDeleteYep, and the regular episodes are 40 minutes with 20 minutes of commercials.
ReplyDeleteThat's all in your head.
ReplyDeleteThe season finale is at the end of March.
ReplyDeleteI think you should jump ship now, you probably won't like where it's going.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the plot and story go, Caro is "just there". Sure she saved them but that doesn't really add anything to her character. As she is right now she is just playing the role Darryl's mom. Meanwhile Eugene is actually an intelligent character. He has knowledge about a lot of things but lack the confidence and actual fighting skills to survive on his own right now. His type of character, unlike Carol's, can actually add interesting scenarios to the show. Same with the Priest. A Priest adds a layer of "religious belief" the the story which is interesting to see if not actually interesting IRL.
ReplyDeleteAbraham is probably the most interesting character of them all. He is powerful, he is intelligent and he constantly gets injured but keeps shrugging it off. Normally he is the type of character that is killed in a show like the Walking Dead because he is simply to strong... thankfully they haven't offed him though.
Only one of the new characters that seem out of place and are just there is Rosita. When I first saw her I thought they were joking. Really? A barbie doll in camouflage pants?
A character they should have killed off long ago is Glenn. In the comic he actually had some redeeming qualities but in the tv-show he is just coming off as an annoying know it all.
Oh yeah....all those loons that thought Beth was an amazing character, who could carry the show, not that she was barely more than an extra, and should never have been given one episode to carry. Much less a whole arc. Even Norman and Melissa couldn't carry an episode with that stupid story line.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
ReplyDeleteI dont know if I should be excited or scared at this extended episode! According to the graphic novels they stay at ASZ for quite some time without any conflict.
ReplyDeleteMan, people are crazy. I didn't dislike Beth, but by no means should she have ever received more than a handful of lines per episode, let alone an entire arc devoted to her rise and death.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, I don't think Norman Reedus has ever managed to carry a single one of the episodes that he's been given. The episode that are big on Daryl are always awful. And as much as I love Melissa McBride as Carol, she as an actress, and Carol, as a character are just support. It's odd when she suddenly become really prevalent. McBride needs a strong co-star to bounce off of. Reedus isn't that.
Not all in my head friend thats why I used the phrase "it seems" your negative responses and tone give me the impression you may need some positive influences in your life, just a thought..
ReplyDeleteI hate waiting :/
ReplyDeleteWow, that was so uncalled for. I have responded to you only twice in this comment section, and neither of them have been negative in any way; when something seems a way that it isn't, it is all in your head, that isn't a negative thing to say. I don't have any negative feelings toward you, but you seem to have negative feelings toward me for some reason.
ReplyDeleteTrue. Consumed, the Caryl episode, got lower ratings than Slabtown did. So you're right. They sucked in that episode. What a yawn. Hope they never do that again.
ReplyDeleteDaryl's mom. LOL! Sadly, that's true.
ReplyDeleteThank you for clearing the air
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome.
