    Yeah...having a mass murdering monster with a short fuse who doesn't even try to justify his slaughter give advice to a woman who is not in her right mind to distinguish right from wrong is an EXCELLENT idea.

    In their defence, I think it's more to do with Klaus seemingly not flipping his switch.

    Caroline isn't about the killing she as a Vampire never was. She said last week she was very much in control over her Vampirism, it is about the beauty and strength Klaus saw in her as a Vamp. He knows to cherish that beauty and the interaction would be fun.

    Exactly!!! I mean does this girl LIVE in denial town? There's no way to cushion this blow Elena. "No students are missing." Hahahaha what is that??? Oh god, just by those sentences alone I feel like she'll make it worse. Please just go away, stand over there, get some punch or something. Don't talk to Caroline, just let Stefan work it out, call Bonnie bring her into it, and just back away. She can stand in the corner and do that dumb, deer in the headlights glare thing she always does when she's listening in on Carolline's conversations.

    Oh that'll go well what with every character hating him. Caroline probably just going to stubbornly lash out like every humanity less vampire and Klaus' own murderous thoughts and impulses (which are better than before mind you) and the general fact that these shows don't crossover very well. I'm basically of the let these shows stay uncrossed variety.

    THANK YOU!!! And at that time her humanity was still on! Granted she didn't want Elena to stop her but STILL. She could've chose another way and she didn't. She wanted Elena stopped for hours.

    I watched the scene again and there's seemingly no specific visual cue to tell you if she flipped her switch before or after. However, since Caroline had obviously already made up her mind to turn it off I don't think the distinction is important.

    I knew what the "downward spiral" was once they released the title. Lol I vote "the calm" this episode, "the storm" the next episode, and before that episode is over, she's flipped the switch back on. (Thanks to herself, Bonnie and/or Stefan).

    But in Season 4 Bonnie was in the middle of her own Dark! arc. Plus, she had a lot of expression magic.

    That reminds me - is Bonnie going to take back her magic from the teddy bear? Or was the magic from the rock enough?

    I think so too but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe she turned it off while she was hugging Elena because when she said "that's not your choice to make" she looked a bit like she might already turned it off. So I thought maybe she turned it off right before she snapped Elenas neck. The crying before that was real for sure!!

    Still not sure about Kai, also because I thought this episode Damon was asking Kai for help and Kai was bothering Bonnie, so Kai should be having his hands too full to get involved in skull drilling.

    Plus, it being Liam makes for a more interesting story in my head ;)

    OK which Characters are going to have a target on their back, recipient of Caroline truth bombs?


    Elena? - Caroline to hit her with....Salvatore Brothers relationship, Katherine envy, Jeremy, Liam?


    Tyler? - Caroline to hit him with....Past relationship, Klaus - hopefully she won't push him so far that he triggers his werewolf curse?


    Damon? - OMG The Sky is the Limit - You name it - acid tongue will fly fast and furious - Past relationship, Relationship with Elena, Relationship with Stefan, Past sins (ie: involved in Lexi's death etc...), who knows she may even suggest hanky banky with Bonnie while they were in the prison world - Yes, I think Damon will be the biggest recipient of Caroline "acid tongue"


    Stefan? - Current and Past Relationships with her, Katherine and Elena


    Enzo...Bonnie...Matt...etc....no one that gets in her way will be spared.

    I'm 100% sure. She snapped Elena's neck so she wouldn't stop her from turning it off. I know that scene like the back of my hand. She definitely did it (turned it off ) after. It takes a while (and concentration) to turn off a vamps humanity. She didn't do it while she was talking to Elena, and she surely didn't do it after that quick hug. A vamp's humanity can't be turned off while multi-tasking. By the time Stefan arrived, (we don't know how long it took for him to get there, let's say 10-20 min) Caroline's humanity was turned off. (Hence why she disappeared) I'm thinking after that, (the neck snapping) she went upstairs to change her clothes, then left the house.

    I'm thinking the next episode happens the next day, b/c Elena still doesn't/didn't know what was going on until Caroline actually tells her. Which I have to say, that ALSO bothers me! Like Elena knows Caroline snapped her neck, you come to hours later and somehow forget that little detail and the conversation you had with her BEFORE it happened??? How is that possible?? Does this woman get dumber by the second?? I don't get it??? = /

    I don't know. I guess we'll have to see the next episode to find out. I can't imagine Elena just went home like nothing happend after Caroline snapped her neck. That would be really stupid..
    Maybe she calls Caroline and Caroline lies to her about flipping the switch. Maybe no-humanity Caroline is such a good liar that she manages to convince Elena she didn't turn it off.
