  1. If Klaus did kill Jackson (which he won't) you wouldn't get any complaints from me.

  2. Ah. Okay. Thanks for the info.

  3. you got that right, specifically take out his tongue so he can stop spouting his stalker crap

  4. Fingers crossed Dahlia exterminates the whole family + Camille, miracle baby included.

  5. glad to have the siblings back, even though Rebekah's not in her body

  6. It's likely some crazed Klaroline fan upset their ship will sail no more well holding onto the pipe dream of pipe dreams that will never ever come true. Pay them no mind.

  7. So why are you watching this show?

  8. Good question. The writing here isn't any better than what's on TVD. I think my problem is that I'm older now and too educated about television storytelling to enjoy any of Julie Plec's shows. Her huge mistakes are too obvious and frustrating. It could be time for ME to stop watching. ManyWays is only expressing discontent with problems with this show that anyone with a brain would notice.

  9. Well, as a person with a brain, it's my opinion that the show has actually improved over the last trio of episodes. The show is nowhere near perfect but at least it is finally becoming watchable again.

It's regrettable that you're so dissatisfied with the show but what ManyWays posted wasn't an expression of dissatisfaction it was just trolling.

  10. "it was just trolling"

No, it wasn't. I've come to a point where characters that I used to like disgust me, my favorite character and main reason why I started watching has been relegated to a glorified supporting role and I find the general arcs a mess.

So yes, I'm dissatisfied and pissed. If that's trolling, so be it. I'm done.

  11. Because I'm a masochist, obviously.

  12. Let me ask a sincere question. You obviously have very very strong negative feelings toward this entire show and simply talking about it seems to upset you at least somewhat. So, if you have such an utter distaste for this series why continue putting yourself through this by watching? Why not find something else that doesn't make you want to punch kittens?

  13. lets see what excuse they find now to keep Rebekah in that body

  14. I don't watch The Vampire Diaries and have no idea what a Klaroline is, but thanks for playing.

  15. I've just recently embarked on the rage ship, zero hope left ship. It's all very new, but my fingers are crossed I'll get to zen, indifferent shores very soon.

  16. I feel like the writers have really written themselves into a corner with this baby plot. As much as I love every moment of screen time without Camille, having Elijah stuck in that house and only interacting with the rest of the cast through the phone is ridiculous.

The Originals was (in the beginning) Elijah's story. It was through his eyes and desire to both reclaim his family and find some sort of redemptive path for Klaus that we were to experience this story. Now they've effectively pushed him into the background so Haley can play Alpha Queen/Elena and Klaus can travel back and forth between the bayou and the french quarter repeating the same drawn out proclamations about protecting Hope.

Nothing is changing. No characters are revealing any hidden depths. No one is fighting in any particularly interesting way (except maybe Finn), or reminding us why the Mikaelsons are a family to be reckoned with. The plot about claiming the city has been left in the dust, the witches have disappeared along with all but a handful of Marcel's vampires, though there seems to be a shit ton of werewolves around despite us being told for years on TVD that they are rare.

And then there is Klaus. He was my favourite character on TVD, and except for a few missteps most of the time I think that show did right by him. But on TO he is a shadow of his former self. He still has his moments don't get me wrong, but they are few and far between. It's like over night he went from this highly complex unquestionable bad ass to just another hybrid who gets told off and tossed around too easily. God when was the last time he bit someone just because he was pissed off? I mean I'm all for character growth but he's over 1000 years old, I don't buy him having a complete personality change in 10 months just because of a baby he's held twice.

I like the idea of Freya. I'm hoping that she returns some of the drama that existed in the first couple episodes of this show. But as it stands right now, I'm not holding out a lot of hope (pun intended).

  17. It's simple. Rebekah wants to be human.

    ReplyDelete
  18. i doubt it now, with all the times she's been hurt

    ReplyDelete
  19. Elijah, I love you but, If you don't want people to know about Hope's existence, then maybe you shouldn't be saying her name...over the phone....on loud speaker. Smh.

    ReplyDelete
  20. that was BEFORE like she said her "con artist of a brother" trapped her in that loony bin of a house, it's sort of like that rule "be careful what you wish for"

    ReplyDelete
  21. I had the same thought when Hayley and Klaus stood in the woods SCREAMING how they should protect their daughter last episode. They are not exactly careful

    ReplyDelete
  22. She always wanted a child. Now she could have that. When they where talking about their plan she said if anything goes wrong and she jumps into another body they can keep her that way and dump her back into her real body when her new body is old.

Thanks for succinctly highlighting my main current beef.

Seriously wondering if they'll bump Gillies into a recurring role in season 3 because it's clear as day he has no place in whatever messy hybrid royals story these writers want to tell.

  24. Yea but the wish for a baby can be very strong. But I guess they won't put her back anytime soon because of Claire anyway. But I will never lose hope that one day she will return and stay.. even though I like the new Rebekah too..

  25. Ah Elijah is at the house more because of his newfound psychotic tendencies. That and probably to allow Gilles to shoot Saving Hope. The show is about The Originals not just centred on Elijah. And it never was just about his perspective ( the pilot doesn't work as a example as the back door one and directors cut were both centred on Klaus.)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I didn't say it was centered on Elijah I said it was from Elijah's point of view. If you go back and look at the pilot again, you'll see that even though the story is ultimately about Klaus, it's Elijah that is forcing the action. It's his voice over, it's he that seeks out Sophie and decides that Haley needs to be protected, it's him that convinces Klaus to remain in Nola and fight for their home. Despite the close relationship that Klaus and Rebekah had/have it's Elijah that spurs her to action to come and find him. Elijah is the one dealing with the witches, laying out threats, snapping necks and ripping out hearts. He manipulates Klaus into caring about his home and his child and the well being of Haley. It's his love/enemy that is the threat for most of the first season.

I understand that this show is called The Originals and is intended to be about all of them (with extra focus on the main 3) but it's obvious at least to me that the first season was supposed to funnel that story through Elijah.

I agree that lack of Elijah at this moment probably has to do with Gilles other commitments, but even aside from these few episodes with him stuck in baby purgatory, this season IMO has slowly shifted the story from Elijah and Klaus to Haley & Klaus. I prefer the former.

  27. Yea more Elijah less Jackson

    ReplyDelete
  28. I agree with you I am a Elijah fan and I am bias I would rather see Daniel Gillies. And I miss Elijah and Haley and I hope they dont put them together or do a brother love triangle. But I need more Daniel GIllies

    ReplyDelete
  29. nor should you, her body's intact but no i think Rebekah's done with being human the second she found herself in that body

    ReplyDelete
  30. At first I was like "Yay I can see Rebekah in the painting" and "Who is that girl standing by the painting?!" And then "ohhhh right that's the NEW Rebekah." I have seen all the episodes and haven't missed a single one but had forgotten for a bit that Rebekah had a new body. LOL. Nice to see the trio back at it. I surely hope Freya is not the one who teams up with FINN!Vincent... Although I do think Klaus is right; she should have jumped to question mode right after they escaped from the Witches Loony Bin. Although... were I Rebekah, I would be glad of my newfound freedom and forgotten to ask.

  31. Good a sneak peek with Elijah. Elijah folding Hopes blanket (how cute). I wished that Elijah would go out of the safe house and back into action. I miss seeing him on a regular basis and miss my couple. I wonder who is going to try to kill hope that Elijah will protect her from. Vincent. Elijah spends a lot of time with Hope. I know this is out of context but someone said on you tube that they think Elijah will kill Jackson to make room for Kaley. I hope not that is the worst. I dont think Elijah would kill Jackson. Maybe VIncent.

    ReplyDelete
  32. yeah o get that, anyone would and freya feels more of a loner

    ReplyDelete
  33. i think there will be a major team-up to finally kill Finncent

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yea, but people keep on saying that he will be killed off. I like Caleb better than Vincent. What do you think about Elijah and Haley. Do you think Kaley will happen. I hope not that is what I fear or love triangle.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Klaus and Haley don't make sense as a couple as the show stands presently so I doubt it. I doubt Finn is being killed before the finale or until Dhalia and Freya take his place though.
