Thanks to O D A and Spindae2 for the heads up.
The villain roster of The CW’s “The Flash” continues to grow as PUNKD Images has learned that former “The Walking Dead” star Emily Kinney has joined the cast as Bug-Eyed Bandit.
Originally appearing as an Atom villain, Bug-Eyed Bandit was created by Gardner Fox and Gil Kane in 1966 where he controlled insects to do his bidding. The character’s name in the source material was Bertram Larvan, but Kinney’s character in the series will be named Brie Larvan.

I love her so much. I hope she can get a lead role in upcoming season. I wish she would play series regular on Cheerleader Death Squad
ReplyDeleteInteresting choice to go with a girl. I assume thus is for the Felicity and Ray crossover. Could be a potential cast for the Atom spin off
ReplyDeleteyeaaah so cool...I got to admit I wasn't a fan of her for a long time but she kicked ass in season 5 of TWD so cool to see her in The flash
ReplyDeleteSince it's an Atom villian is most likely to show up on 1x18 of The Flash... But right now she arrives? how many scenes does she have? Isn't the episode supposed to be mostly done by now? :/
ReplyDeleteLove her and I can't wait to see her in The Flash. It's nice to see she isn't being type casted after TWD. She is playing a psycho in Forever and a villain here.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she will show up in 1x18 at the last minute. She is supposed to appear in multiple episodes.
ReplyDeleteForever? what do you mean
ReplyDeleteOh. Maybe I'll catch up on the show during the holidays next week.
ReplyDeleteWait, that means Ray will stay on The Flash for a bit? :O
ReplyDeleteThe is guest starring in the ABC show Forever. Episode 16.
ReplyDeleteAt first i was not sure about The Atom spin-off. But if it would mean having Emily Kinney as regular in a show that will probably be a success i am here for it 100%
ReplyDeleteNo idea. But it would be smart to have him in The Flash for some episodes especially if The Atom is the next DC spin off.
ReplyDeleteYep, agree.
ReplyDeleteI secretly hope this a network test and she ends up getting cast on The Originals as Cami's ( and Sean ' s ) yet to be mentioned little sister.
ReplyDeleteLet's see if they announce The Atom spin-off today. If they want to order 1-2 more pilots they will probably do it this week, right? in the second half of February they usually cast for their pilots already
ReplyDeleteSince CW often keeps their actors this makes me very happy and i hope she can be regular on The Atom or Cheerleader Death Squad or even Cordon
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited for this! If The Atom does get its own spin-off, I really hope Emily is a recurring character on the show.
ReplyDeleteA female version of Bug-Eyed Bandit? I could get behind that. Looking forward to seeing Emily as a villain! And it looks like they are starting to plant the seeds for The Atom spin off. Hmmm, these next few weeks are going to be interesting over at the CW.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's NOT "Cordon" as it's a end of the world drama where the characters are based in a Atlanta hospital and that is way to similar for her next role for my liking.
ReplyDeleteI'm sticking to Cami's sister on The Originals.
She looks way too cute to be a villain lol
ReplyDeleteHater's gonna hate... But i want my Atom spin-off xD
ReplyDeleteGood for her. I am still pissed at Beth's death in TWD. But good for Emily getting this gig.
ReplyDeleteI want it too.
ReplyDeletetake it easy there
ReplyDeleteWhat I love is how quickly EK is getting guest work after the Walking Dead, really happy for her and I hope she gets another permanent if not a semi regular role soon!
ReplyDeleteYes! I like her so much she is amazing o hope they keep het in the cw family such as the new shows next year and maybe even the atom spinoff. What do you guys think would you like to see her in another cw show?
ReplyDeleteSo, another Caitlin-named villain, huh?
ReplyDeleteIt's ok... I'm 100% sure she knows i was gonna say that Jajaja She put that comment on purpose xD
ReplyDeleteawesome! i miss beth but im interested in seeing emily possibly recurring as a villian..i wasnt too sure about an atom spin off but if emily plays a role in it im in.
ReplyDeleteIt's ok. I know he was joking and I did write that comment on purpose because I do want Ray to leave and he knows that.
ReplyDelete*evil grin*
ReplyDeleteApologies to Flash fans that now have to suffer through Emily Kinney's "acting."
ReplyDeleteI don't want him to go to The Flash either. His own show is the only guarantee.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the actor who plays ray he did bad on superman returns and not good here but I hear he's a nice guy
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against Brandon, I'm sure he's a nice guy. But I'm not a big fan of his acting and I despise the Ray character and the fact that I hated his character on Chuck as well is not helping. Thankfully I haven't seen his Superman movie because Superman is my favourite superhero.
ReplyDeletethat what I just said not a fan but I have nothing against him
ReplyDeleteYou have a "knight in shiny armor" that protects you from a "handsome 23 year old young man with great hair" that uses bad language Jajajajaja
ReplyDeleteI was agreeing with you :D
ReplyDeleteIt was very sweet but protecting me means that you were posing a threat in the first place hahaha
ReplyDelete"handsome 23 year old young man with great hair" *rolls eyes*
lot of villain on The Flash! I wonder if Arrow will be introducing any new character before season end....
ReplyDeleteVery happy for her, I really like her. I will be very happy to have her on the show ;) The Flash keeps getting better and better .
ReplyDeletemoving on I was wondering if the writers thought about doing a episode where Barry goes too fast get caught up in the speed force and arrive in a different time and age at a fast rate
ReplyDeleteI know right? You're my best friend and fellow supporter of Ray Palmer Jajaja
ReplyDeletePS: I do have great hair, just saying... When i was on vacations in NY, a guy and a group of german girls went nuts and shaked my hand because they tought i was Glee's Darren Criss... I was staying at the hotel where they did the Tony Awards Gala and people like Hug jackman, Neil Patrick Harris, Lucy Liu and such were atending Jajajaja
She is supposed ot be Felicitys nemesis from the tie-in Flash comics.
ReplyDeleteHuh... They changed the lore a lot. Why not create a brand new character? Since Felicity is a new character i would have much preffered her némesis to be someone new too.
ReplyDeleteHope she moves to Arrow sometime next season... I feel cheated having "her" némesis in The Flash. Kind of a marketing move to get some of only-Arrow watchers to tune in The Flash...
This should be a Ray Palmer centric episode... :S
He was a good Superman, much better than Cavill... The problem wasn't him(he did a great Reeves playing Superman), it was the god awful script.
ReplyDeleteIt will happen in one of the next episode. Kresiberg said the first time travel will happen by accident in the episode the new Weather Wizard arrives. So yes!
ReplyDeleteAll i know is that in the tie in comics her mistery nemesis send bug-eyed looking drones after Felicity. And since apparently this comics are canon as far as this show goes ...
ReplyDeleteI heard about time travel but not fast aging
ReplyDeleteAnother villain-another day in central city.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
I wonder if she is guesting in episode 1.18, the episode where IIRC Ray and Felicity arrive to Central City. Could that episode be a planted spinoff
ReplyDeleteShe is.
ReplyDeleteI live for Ray's scenes. It's killing me that he's not in episodes 13 and 14.smh
ReplyDeleteAre time travel and rapid aging connected?
ReplyDeleteYes!!
ReplyDeleteBart Allen in the comics help trap prime in the speed force to save Conner Kent but it came at a cost it cause Bart to age at fast rate
ReplyDeletewhoops should probably start watching The Flash now. Grant Gustin's acting has improved since Glee, yes?
ReplyDeleteThey are not calling it as a spin off back door pilot but I think they are testing waters with Flash audience if ATOM will be well received as he suits the tone of The Flash more than Arrow. Also Arrow fans have polarizing opinions about Ray Palmer till now. The Flash has more audience and more comic book fans.
ReplyDeleteNice. I wish only good thing for her. she is a great actress
ReplyDeleteSounds like Larva Girl from the Simpsons.
ReplyDeletehe die but came back from the dead in 31 century his friend Conner Kent came from the dead at around the same time to defeat prime
ReplyDelete
