The Flash - Emily Kinney cast as Bug-Eyed Bandit

Thanks to O D A and Spindae2 for the heads up.

The villain roster of The CW’s “The Flash” continues to grow as PUNKD Images has learned that former “The Walking Dead” star Emily Kinney has joined the cast as Bug-Eyed Bandit.

Originally appearing as an Atom villain, Bug-Eyed Bandit was created by Gardner Fox and Gil Kane in 1966 where he controlled insects to do his bidding. The character’s name in the source material was Bertram Larvan, but Kinney’s character in the series will be named Brie Larvan.

    I love her so much. I hope she can get a lead role in upcoming season. I wish she would play series regular on Cheerleader Death Squad

    Interesting choice to go with a girl. I assume thus is for the Felicity and Ray crossover. Could be a potential cast for the Atom spin off

    Since it's an Atom villian is most likely to show up on 1x18 of The Flash... But right now she arrives? how many scenes does she have? Isn't the episode supposed to be mostly done by now? :/

    Love her and I can't wait to see her in The Flash. It's nice to see she isn't being type casted after TWD. She is playing a psycho in Forever and a villain here.

    At first i was not sure about The Atom spin-off. But if it would mean having Emily Kinney as regular in a show that will probably be a success i am here for it 100%

    Let's see if they announce The Atom spin-off today. If they want to order 1-2 more pilots they will probably do it this week, right? in the second half of February they usually cast for their pilots already

    A female version of Bug-Eyed Bandit? I could get behind that. Looking forward to seeing Emily as a villain! And it looks like they are starting to plant the seeds for The Atom spin off. Hmmm, these next few weeks are going to be interesting over at the CW.

    I hope it's NOT "Cordon" as it's a end of the world drama where the characters are based in a Atlanta hospital and that is way to similar for her next role for my liking.

    I have nothing against Brandon, I'm sure he's a nice guy. But I'm not a big fan of his acting and I despise the Ray character and the fact that I hated his character on Chuck as well is not helping. Thankfully I haven't seen his Superman movie because Superman is my favourite superhero.

    PS: I do have great hair, just saying... When i was on vacations in NY, a guy and a group of german girls went nuts and shaked my hand because they tought i was Glee's Darren Criss... I was staying at the hotel where they did the Tony Awards Gala and people like Hug jackman, Neil Patrick Harris, Lucy Liu and such were atending Jajajaja

    Huh... They changed the lore a lot. Why not create a brand new character? Since Felicity is a new character i would have much preffered her némesis to be someone new too.


    Hope she moves to Arrow sometime next season... I feel cheated having "her" némesis in The Flash. Kind of a marketing move to get some of only-Arrow watchers to tune in The Flash...


    This should be a Ray Palmer centric episode... :S

    It will happen in one of the next episode. Kresiberg said the first time travel will happen by accident in the episode the new Weather Wizard arrives. So yes!

    They are not calling it as a spin off back door pilot but I think they are testing waters with Flash audience if ATOM will be well received as he suits the tone of The Flash more than Arrow. Also Arrow fans have polarizing opinions about Ray Palmer till now. The Flash has more audience and more comic book fans.
