iZombie - Episode 1.01 - Pilot

A NEW SERIES FROM THE BRAINS BEHIND "VERONICA MARS" - Olivia "Liv" Moore (Rose McIver, "Masters of Sex," "Once Upon a Time") was a disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out... until she is turned into a zombie. Now stuck somewhere between half-alive and undead, Liv loses her drive and ambition. She breaks off her engagement with charming soul mate Major (Robert Buckley, "One Tree Hill"), fearful of infecting him with her condition. Liv transfers her medical residency to the city morgue in order to access the only form of sustenance left available to her - the only thing that allows her to maintain her humanity - brains. There are side effects to Liv's new diet: With each brain Liv consumes, she experiences "visions" - flashes of the corpse's memories - which often provide clues as to how they were killed. Her boss, the brilliant but eccentric Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), encourages her to embrace this gift and to work with unproven homicide detective, Clive Babineaux, (Malcolm Goodwin, "True Blood"), to help solve these murders. In doing so, Liv finds a measure of peace, and a new sense of purpose in what her "life" has now become. David Anders also stars. Rob Thomas directed the episode written by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright (#101). Original airdate 3/17/2015.

Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) looks into the night the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn’t add up and begins to wonder whether Joe was right about Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). 1. Cole again on SPN? Why.

    ReplyDelete
  2. they probably want to make the spin off about him

    ReplyDelete
  3. ib4 Oliver is crazy to bring Malcolm home....

    ReplyDelete
  4. Well, it was nice knowing you Cole, but you're going to die after this episode. I didn't think the Khan worm would even still be in existence after Eve's death.

Also, the description for "The Offer" makes so much sense now....Quentin is forcefully going after The Arrow, Black Canary and Arsenal simply because he's still pissed off about them lying to him about Sara. And I'm sure Nyssa will offer to train Laurel, which should be fun to see....maybe Lyssa?

    ReplyDelete
  5. is it really needed that Lance have take his anger on the Arrow......I guess this is slowly what ra's meant in the promo that public will turn against him

    ReplyDelete
  6. I don't find it crazy after tonight's episode. Ra's will most likely let Ollie take Merlyn back since Ra's seems to now be more focused on Ollie taking the place as the "Demon's Head".

    ReplyDelete
  7. the Kahn worm is the worm that killed Rufus right?

    ReplyDelete
  8. but a lot of fans expect Ra's to finish the job by killing Merlyn though

    ReplyDelete
  9. Funny enough, I don't think even Ra's suspected that it would happen so fast, but Quentin indeed seems to be filled with such anger that he wants The Arrow down as well. I'm surprised he hasn't gone directly to Oliver now because the shows has already suggest a Gordon/Batman type of relationship where Quentin may already know.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yep. Well, it was the worm inside Bobby that killed Rufus.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ra's seemed to have only wanted to torture Merlyn and most likely knew Ollie was going to come anyways. I could see Ra's letting Ollie bring Merlyn home as being either a sign of "faith" in making sure Ollie would at least think about it, or perhaps giving Ollie the choice as a first step of becoming the next leader.

    ReplyDelete
  12. ok yeah that's what i thought

    ReplyDelete
  13. I just hoping it won't last long between Lance/Arrow because it not needed but it will change relationship between them. I expect they will respect when a bigger crisis is at stake

    ReplyDelete
  14. Nyssa's training Laurel to be The Black Canary !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Or Quentin may end up dying before this season's end. Maybe because he's acting so foolish, it will be the cause of his death. I could see that.

    ReplyDelete
  16. did you notice that Lance was the first one to call Laurel the BLACK Canary?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't understand why he named her the BLACK Canary, though. Was it more of a slap to the face of not calling her THE Canary and just because Laurel had way more black leather than her sister?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oliver no longer needs Merlyn he going to be the potential heir so this make no sense unless it another misleading for something else. I think merlyn know something that Ra's knows (like Nyssa not being the heir)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Or it could still be because it would have dirtied Thea's hands if Merlyn was killed then and there. I mean, the idea is still that Thea's soul needs to be "clean" and Merlyn still dying would destroy that chance.

I, personally, think this is something Ra's has Ollie choose. To either bring Merlyn home or to have him killed as a "step" of becoming the next Ra's al Ghul.

    ReplyDelete
  20. i don't know, it actually felt like a throwaway when we know it's not. I thought SHE would name herself because she lost Sara, she would have a darker title than Sara's more bright one

    ReplyDelete
  21. The Originals - Freya may not be in league with Dahlia but that doesn't mean she isn't a threat to the family. She has already proven that. Kill her.
Supernatural - Yawn. Damn this show can be boring sometimes.
Hart of Dixie - I wonder if AB's omens included "Nielsen ratings" and "syndication deals?"
The Vampire Diaries - Two things: First, don't do it Damon! Leave her there. This won't turn out well. Second, congratulations CW. You have properly baited me with this "gift" tease.
The Flash - Ah, yes. The awkward double date. That is somewhat of a standard CW trope.
Arrow - Well, at least Oliver finally has some regular business to attend to. I don't object to the Nyssa/Laurel bonding either.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The Villain of the week on Arrow is interesting.......but it look Oliver won't get any help from Cap Lance anymore......

    ReplyDelete
  23. See, I thought that too. I thought she'd name herself because it would just make sense. Now it's as if Quentin called her that as a sort of a slap to the face by not calling her THE Canary. The time was perfect for Laurel to call herself that, with the black lipstick and all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's to be expected. I have no beef with Lance. At least his actions still reliably make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What could Bonnie's gift be to Damon?

    ReplyDelete
  26. TO-Freya's childhood FB episode,can't wait!
TVD-So,alaric and enzo finally meet on-screen.Where's sarah?-Dead somehere,i guess. Please bring back mama salvatore and let your brother know, damon.I wonder what the unexpected gift is.I hope they don't drag out this dark caroline arc for much longer!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I dunno but I'm definitely intrigued.

    ReplyDelete
  28. How long will it last that this is a good question.....

    ReplyDelete
  29. Just guessing, I'd say to at least sometime around the finale or even beyond it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Although I would love to believe that Damon's mom is wrongfully trapped in 1903, I think when all is said and done Damon is going to regret going to get her.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I hope we will get some Nyssa/Sara flashbacks after Sara meet her soon. Even though Sara is dead, it can still relate to Nyssa in the present, and maybe from her POV.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Quentin's actions makes the least sense. Why have the SCPD go after Arrow now? Why blame The Arrow for Laurel's mistake of not telling him and why go so far as to make The Arrow look like a criminal now? It does parallel the beginning of this season, but it makes zero sense to be hostile towards Arrow now.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Supernatural. Hopefully, The Things They Carried will reveal who sent Cole a picture of Dean captured from a security footage and why (episode 10.01 Black ).

    ReplyDelete
  34. No one said anything about "going after" Arrow. The synopsis simply says he (not the SCPD) is shutting them out. You're spinning an entirely unfounded narrative here.

    ReplyDelete
  35. he is pretty much not answering their call for help especially the Arrow.....but it has gone to the point where rest of the SCPD come in and start a manhunt

    ReplyDelete
  36. So Nyssa trains Laurel....

    ReplyDelete
  37. Flash: Liam appearing Yeah! Malese coming Back double Yeah! Wells getting caught Triple Yeah!!!!!
VD: Caroline outplaying Alaric and Enzo. Bamon moments Yeah Yeah And one more for Mama Salvatore coming back! Yeah!
Arrow: Not sure what to think about all this. -.-
    Originals: Ready to Rumble!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. TVD- What plan?? What does that mean?? Did she get her humanity back or not?? The first sentence seems like she did, but the second sentence seems like she didn't?? Alaric and Enzo teaming up to help Caroline, reel her back in? Back in from where? Her humanity?? Ugh!! I'm worried. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. Dear CW press department,

You are terrible. Have you ever heard the phrase less is more?

    --

Seriously CW needs to hire better episode summary writers. One's that know how to give you a gist of an episode while revealing little.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Obviously, either the cure or a kiss.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dang. You went off the deep end there and you didn't even get to the part about Bonnie's "gift" for Damon. XD

    ReplyDelete
  42. and who knows how dangerous she is, i mean she's been there for WAY longer than , Bonnie, Kai and Damon who knows what her state of mind is now. Kai was already psychotic, i wonder how Lily is

    ReplyDelete
  43. Yes, there's that too. Even if she's innocent of any wrongdoing, she's been there so long she could still be certifiably insane anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Maybe C wanted to wake up the ripper in S so he would back away from her. That attempt would be interesting.
I just hope they don't jump on the Carenzo train, now she doesn't feel.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Bonne's gift to Damon...Consider me intrigued...Very much...to the point of exploding.xD
Damon, bro, you're digging your own grave. I know you love your mommy, but there's a reason she's there. She'll hurt you way worse than anyone else did. I already feel bad for you.
    Alaric and Enzo meet. Interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  46. is it bad that we immediately go to the she's evil category instead of she's good? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  47. I just hope Bonnies gift is not the cure.

    ReplyDelete
  48. yea we all asume she is bad because she is in a prison world but maybe they had an other reason to sent her there

    ReplyDelete
  49. I hope it's not the cure

    ReplyDelete
  50. I know, right? I'm going crazy too!! Too many questions!! Her plan for Stefan? What the hell does this mean? This hiatus is killing me!!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Me too! But I'm still excited for some Carenzo scenes. I think they are fun together. But I don't want them to be more than friends.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am pretty sure she will turn out to be a loony/crazy/evil case but i can't blame a guy for trying everything he can to save his mother.I know i would, even if i discover she's a mental case or worse!

    ReplyDelete
  53. The Flash - what's up with double dates and this show?
Arrow - villain of the week sounds really interesting. So Ra's just simply give Malcolm to Oliver like the gift you give to someone whom you dislike?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hmm. Looks like Caroline is still off the rails in 6x17. Now why the frak is Enzo involved in Caroline's story line? Go away, Enzo. Die alone somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  55. The TVD synopsis is killing me - I don't think I've ever been this excited about an episode of TVD just because of a synopsis before. This season has been so much better than the previous ones, it's unreal... I don't know what the writers/producers did to make it happen, whether they started taking some drugs, stopped taking them, whatever, just whatever you guys are going, for the love of God - keep it up!

    ReplyDelete
  56. TO: I thought they were going to address Rebekah's situation in a different way the episode before this. Aren't the spirits supposed to become a problem, with Elijah and Marcel both reaching out for help and finding out that the owner of Rebekah's new body has a checkered past with her coven? Why would anyone need insight from Finn once they know who the owner of the body is? Now that the plot has changed, are they going to seal the owner of the body up in Rebekah's old body? I think that might be crossing a line if they do. I had a feeling something like this was coming, but I don't see the point in going there to save Rebekah or help save Kol. If Claire Holt wants to leave the show, Rebekah should go with her. There can always be new characters, and obviously new Originals.

I'm glad they're addressing Freya's childhood with Dahlia right away. Freya still having her talisman tells me that she might feel like Dahlia is her mother just like Klaus thinks of Mikael as his father. Dahlia was supposed to sacrifice Freya, but Dahlia raised her instead. It might turn out that Freya is helping Dahlia, or something might have to be done to protect Freya from her. The girl is obviously insane and traumatized, and she might be forced to help Dahlia hunt in order to stay alive. I'm wondering why Dahlia is still hunting, like Freya said. WHO has she been hunting? One of the brothers must have unknowingly gotten a girl pregnant back when they were human, right? There have to be descendants of at least one Original keeping Dahlia alive and busy.

Maybe this is the episode where we learn more about Jackson's past and what he didn't tell Hayley during the rituals. He did something to survive under Marcel's rule that he didn't want Hayley or anyone else to know about. If his leadership is tested, Jackson will have to get aggressive again to prove himself to his pack. Maybe now people calling his character boring will stop complaining.

  57. Well, I feel like it IS the cure. Numerous reasons for that - JP's tease about Elena getting a proposition that could change her whole life, the show reintroducing Nova Scotia, that bit about how it shakes Damon to his core... also Elena is one of the very few vampire on this show who could really take the cure.
Besides - this is just pure speculation on my part - I feel like delena has come to a point where it's very hard to give some more progress to it, there simply aren't many more stories to tell without getting to more and more crazy, deus ex machina obstacles just to keep it going for a little while, mostly in the vicious breakup/makeup cycle. And they DID let Damon state that he doesn't think Elena would be with him if she was still a human, just a few episodes ago. IMHO this would be an excellent way how to solve this problem for good - either show that delena didn't happen just because of Elena turning into a vampire and that it's a strong and somehow functional relationship after all, or give them a gentle, yet meaningful way to break up for good and let both of them grow as people.
    Either way, I call it a win-win.

    ReplyDelete
  58. TO - If something has taught me this show is that a meeting between Mikaelson never ends well.

VD - Please let me guess DarkCaroline story:
Caroline wants RipperStefan back, so she's going to cause.
Stefan will realize her plans, so he pretend to be the Ripper, to be near Caroline and care for her, or maybe sing together (according to Candice's pics)
At the end of the season, Caroline will know the sacrifice he made for her and she'll recover her humanity.

While all that passes, Paul or Candice won't have interaction with other actors, because Caroline and Stefan relationship should develop "slow burn" and for that they don't need anyone else.

That's the trouble with summaries, just read it and you know what's coming.

Anyway, I was really excited by dark Caroline, however, the writers made her an Enzo 2.0, obsessed with Stefan (I really hope be wrong.)

    ReplyDelete
  59. ...or to have a fun, ripper boyfriend :D that would be hilarious to watch, like Bonnie and Clyde...

    ReplyDelete
  60. I suspect they feel the need to wrap up the storyline in some way?
I wonder if he'll make it out alive or if Dean is going to have to kill him? Either way It would be keeping with the theme of Dean centric episodes of the season and keep Dean's MOC arc and Dean's emotional arc in play.
Just a shame Sam's 'character from the past he has to deal with' was a de-aged Dean and only for one episode that was all about Dean. Cas, Dean and Crwoley have all had characters from the past directly affecting each of them and have lasted several episodes.
If Sam is keeping secrets I'm glad(Dean has no room to judge), he isnt going to just give up on getting rid of the MOC and if he doesnt have Dean's support than he'll have to go it alone and make sure Dean cent stop him from doing what needs to be done. I also heavily suspect that Sam's arc will play mostly off screen, so Dean will suspect Sam is up to something but we likely wont see it or get any Sam POV/perspective on it.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Its possible, dont think it would work but I certainly think the writers might try.

    ReplyDelete
  62. My first thought was Crowley but who knows, maybe theres another Dean centric character out there that wants a peice of him?
Not interested in the Cole/Dean angst, hopefully we get more on what Sam might be up to, though I suspect it will all happen of screen with just Dean's POV (Sam keeping a secret from him) on screen.

    ReplyDelete
  63. A kiss would be way better!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I think so too. I thought the cure will come back into play since they mentioned Nova Scotia again.
Like you said, there are numerous reasons why this gift probably is the cure. And JP even said something about Delena talking about their future. And I don't think they will just start to talk about their future out of the blue.
I just don't know if I want Elena to be human again. I like her as a vampire. But on the other hand it would finally solve the whole "would we be together if you where still human"-issue. Otherwise it would always stand between them.

    ReplyDelete
  65. The question will be if they save her will she be the new big bad? Will she team up with Kai? Will she help them get rid of Kai? Being trapped in that world does that make her supernatural I.e. a witch a vampire maybe their father could not kill her in 1903 so in turn trapped her there!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I do too, because I think that story arc has been done to death and we shouldn't go back there. I also don't think a kiss from Bonnie would "shake Damon to his core". If the two of them being plastered together didn't lead to something more I think we have to let the idea of Bamon go. And given the final scene last week, "something more" didn't happen.

What is the nature of this "gift"? It doesn't have to be a thing, it could be something Bonnie tells Damon. What's confusing me is pairing "gift" with "shaken to his core". A gift should be something good but shaken to the core somehow sounds negative. Although I suppose you could be shaken to the core by being told something that has tremendous meaning to you, in a life-changing sense. I hate having to wait until 3/19. TVD is certainly making me want to keep watching this season.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Exactly, agreed with everything you said :) And yes, I too enjoy Elena being a vampire, it's just that if I should choose between them finally solving the "should we be together or not?" or keeping Elena a vampire, I choose the first one. And it's not like they would have to save her more often if she was a human - half the stories revolve around saving Elena from some pickle even when she is a vampire... :D
I also suppose it could shed some light on the change of her personality after she became a vampire, perhaps even somehow redeem her in the eyes of those who hate her now (not that I do)...

    ReplyDelete
  68. She has to be something because she didn't age. And she "died" like 40 years before 1903. I have a feeling that the next big bad could be the whole Gemini Coven.

    ReplyDelete
  69. So the question is she going to be good or bad? In that case, I agree with @Bruce_F that Damon is going to regret freeing her. Even bonnie was effected by the period of time she spent there (ready to end her life) and she was good going into that world. On the other hand you have Kai who also trapped there for a really long time and he was evil going in. So in all that time you would think that Kai and Lily have met one another?

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm certainly not a one to say no to a bamon kiss, lol, but calling it a "gift"? Plus with steroline being a slow-burn AND very popular ship, perhaps they will want to make bamon a little slow-burn as well? After all they still need storylines for another two seasons...

    ReplyDelete
  71. One can only hope lol!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Btw a little OT and tinfoil theory - does somebody else wonder if the reason why Ian decided to stay on TVD after all was that they decided to move towards bamon? He said numerous times that he would love for this to happen, not only from the story point but also since he really enjoys working with Kat, and he also seems to be quite done with delena... And if even a fraction of those rumors about him and Nina being very complicated now are true, then...

    ReplyDelete
  73. I agree with everything you said too :) You're right! It wouldn't be THAT bad if she would be a human again.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I don't think it's going to be a kiss too! I believe Bamon will stay platonic (as they should.. in my opinion).
I thought for a second that the gift could be Bonnie bringing back Elena's memories somehow but that wouldn't shake Damon to his core because, like you said, shaken to the core sounds negative.
Who knows, maybe they will suprise us and it's something we didn't think of.. but I doubt it. It just seems so obvious that it's the cure

    ReplyDelete
  75. I don't think Kai knows who is in the other prison worlds because when Alaric asked who is in there he said "i guess other crapy people like me".
There is definitely a reason why Lily is in this prison world. Either she somehow pissed of the Gemini Coven (which doesn't necessarily means she is evil) or they have some other reason why they sent her there.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I hope Nyssa trains Laurel and not ask her to join the league too

    ReplyDelete
  77. I actually think that the one who wasn't sure about staying was Paul because at a Meet&Greet (I wasn't in it. I just heard it from a friend) last summer he was like "maybe there will be a S7 of TVD, maybe not and maybe he will still be in it or maybe not". At the time TVD hasn't been renewed for a S7 but he already sounded very unsure about him staying on the show.
And I don't belive all the rumors about Ian and Nina. In my opinion (I know not everyone agrees with this) they still have a hell of a chemistry and no matter how professional they are, if it really is that complicated between them, it would show ..at least a little bit

    ReplyDelete
  78. Interesting, perhaps Paul really wasn't sure about whether he can stand JP for another season, lol.
Perhaps yes, I've seen other people speculation that these rumors may be just a way to get some free promotion for the series... Anyway, I'm glad all three of them are staying, it wouldn't be the same without them :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. I agree, it wouldn't be the same without them. I'm glad too :)

  80. I don't think the Rebekah things makes sense. Why didn't Vincent, Kaleb, Cassie & Lenore try to get back control of their own bodies and eject Finn, Kol & Esther back into their own bodies? When Klaus possessed Alaric & Tyler on TVD there was no sign they had any ability to over-ride Klaus' control.

The inconsistencies in the TVD and the retconned mythology bother me so much.

The problem with Jackson/Hayley is all the truth-telling/rituals happened off-screen - so as viewers we don't know what secrets they told each other or what they actually know about the other (or really much about Jackson's past at all). We didn't see Hayley tell Jackson about the events of TVD Season 4 when she betrayed Tyler and got Klaus to kill all the hybrids for Shane/Silas, or how she worked with Katherine and Klaus had to save her life.

  81. I'd rather have Enzo involved in the Caroline storyline than in the Sarah/Matt one. I liked the Caroline/Enzo interactions last season (their road trip to Atlanta and such) but we really haven't seen much of it this season. Enzo seemed like he might be into Caroline and was jealous that she liked Stefan at the start of the season, but then they kind of dropped that and they haven't interacted since like 6x04, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'm pretty sure we'll have two episodes of no humanity Caroline (Elena's no humanity arc lasted for 5). It won't be resolved in just one episode.

    ReplyDelete
  83. If it means magically altering her again, then that would be total crap for me. It would be like a soap opera saying that the whole season was just a dream and none of it was real.

And technically, the issue of her being with Damon as a human was already solved by the choice of the memory and their latest getting back together scene.

Plus, there's only one cure - so she could only "prove her love" by refusing it, again. That would, however, make turning her into a human in the finale A LOT better, since then it would be actually sad, just like her becoming a vampire was.

This probably is about the cure though, or we're just being baited with the idea, just like with the Gilbert accident.

    ReplyDelete
  84. For me it means she didn't. If they want to top the Matt-killing that made Elena turn it back on, they'll probably go for something really dramatic. Threatening thee life of somebody would be a repeat, so I'm guessing something else. No idea what yet though :P

    ReplyDelete
  85. It would be refreshing to get away from the Delena story!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Probably not because the president of the CW was quoted as saying:

    Danielle Turchiano
    @danielletbd

"Hopefully next year since we just renewed the show they will come up with something we can use" Pedowtiz re: #Supernatural spinoff #TCA15

Pedowitz notes that Carver's focus this season is on THIS SEASON of #Supernatural, not creating a new show. #TCA15

Apparently, Travis Aaron Wade auditioned for the role of Dean. Maybe the producers etc. simply felt that the role was made for Jensen Ackles but since Travis Aaron Wade wasn’t cast in some other WB/CW show, maybe the people from the network don’t think that he can carry a TV show but is more suitable as a recurring guest star or a series regular.

  87. Kai's not the big bad anymore and as per episode 17 synopsis, looks like the writers are bringing back enzo into the fold too, with alaric & him teaming up to help caroline and all.I guess the sarah track concludes in episode 16.So,it's clearly evident, mama salavtore will be the new Bog bad, julie even hinted so in her interviews. And you're right-She's either a powerful witch or a vampire who crossed the gemini coven in 1903 most probably and they locked her in that prison world.Anyway, episode 16 has a flashback to the earlier events of what exactly happened back then with mama salvatore, that should things a little bit clear.

    ReplyDelete
  88. "You're spinning an entirely unfounded narrative here."

You probably have not read any spoilers or seen the set pics for "Public Enemy".

    ReplyDelete
  89. Oh no, you just spun an entirely unfounded narrative, lmao.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Or maybe he chose to stay for the most obvious reason - money? Or being given an opportunity to direct? He's not exactly Holly finest. Also, that would probably go against the ending that Plec has had in mind since season 2.

The Nina and Ian rumors are bull imo - I don't follow gossip, but I see the headlines of the trash Google spams me with pretending it's TVD news, and the latest iteration seems to be that now they are getting it on behind Nikki's back. So you could just as easily say that he stayed on for more Delena scenes...

What I'm saying is that it's possible to interpret the facts however you want - it's mostly just shipper fodder.

    ReplyDelete
  91. The description of "The Bird in the Gilded Cage" has me convinced that
Bonnie brought Damon the cure from the prison world. I have my theories
about him wanting to use it, but how it might actually be used. I'm
excited to see if they'll be accurate.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I think it's the cure to vampirism.

    ReplyDelete
  93. If she is the big bad it will be interesting to see how Salvatore brothers deal with going up against the Mama!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Yes, I have and that would be relevant if we were talking about "Public Enemy" but we're talking about "The Offer."

The episode you cite is three episodes away and you're using fan reports and amateur set pics as credible sources. Without context they aren't worth much. You can't really condemn someone's actions from three episodes away when you have no clue what happens in between.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Which means she'll be the exact opposite,my friend.This is TVD,after all-everyone has some mysterious past/shady agenda!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Exactly, so imagine how surprising it would be if she did turn out to be a Guardian, after all. The whole idea of Guardians is so ridiculous, it would be fantastic.

But yes, sadly, this is TVD. She will turn out to be a witch who had one or more affairs, got mixed up in some witch business and got locked away. :(

But if she was so shady, how come Damon had only good memories of her - he was 18, that's too old to be clueless.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I really don't think julie plec and Co. have what it takes to write a arc on Angel/Guardian logically and not make it a hot mess in the process. After all, these are the same writers who never explored the concept of dark dimension even if that meant showing Katherine & Silas!
As far as damon is concerned,i am not surprised he was no clue about his mother's true nature, whatever that is!Her mother was sent away while she was taken ill-we don't know what happened from the period of 1856-1903.That's 47 years approx, long time for a person to change and become crazy/dangerous,not to mention she was locked away for god knows how many time!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Oh, I got a tinfoil hat theory about this gift:

Bonnie finds a way to make it possible for Damon to access magic.

Plec says Bonnie is supposed to be a total badass when she comes back, chances are that Damon's mom is a witch if she's stuck in one of Gemini's prison worlds meaning Damon comes from a witch bloodline, witchcraft would be something to further bond Bonnie and Damon, and the witch revelation coupled with the idea of a vampire doing magic would definitely leave Damon "shaken to his core."

How's that for an insane theory?

    ReplyDelete
  99. a full vampire doing magic? um AWESOMESAUCE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. we just do not know why. its the writers and Carver.

    ReplyDelete
  101. like Darla in Angel before she turned good?

    ReplyDelete
  102. oh you meant Big Bad didn't you?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Maybe a hookup,anything for my man!
    He needs to get laid!LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Plec is totally lying about Bonnie, she always is - Bonnie being a badass is what we were promised for Season 4 and then? Nada.

I don't think Damon would be shaken by that - why would he care about magic? He would be shaken by the revelation that his mother was a witch, yes, but that's not a gift.

A vampire doing magic is a great idea, but why would Bonnie want that?

    ReplyDelete
  105. LOL but i'm really hoping they make Kai the Big Bad again instead of an antagonist, they made a big deal about Kai being the Big Bad and now they demoted him

    ReplyDelete
  106. Maybe the Gemini Coven isn't the only witches coven that can create prison worlds. Kai's coven is in Oregon; that's a long way from Virginia. And we know there were witches in Mystic Falls.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Worst of it all-Stefan has been completely cut off from the mama salvatore track altogether. It has become all about Damon once again!

    ReplyDelete
  108. My guess and it's an easy one-He snaps sarah's neck coz he got bored pursuing this plan and got back to Mystic Falls to catch up on the current events-Ergo-Helping his secret crush/female bestie around with alaric!

    ReplyDelete
  109. I think she brought back the cure from the island to give it to damon so that elena can become a human again.Damon is shuddering at the prospect of his GF getting back to his brother once again!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Chris wood has been cast as a series regular in Julie Plec's upcoming pilot Cordon,so they will kill him soon.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Damon is not a fan of magic. Or witches, except for Bonnie. In fact, I think he'd probably be hilariously embarrassed if he had any magic. I'd guess he'd probably avoid telling people about it too.

Bonnie has never really had a witch friend to bond with. She has interacted with witches but never ones she trusted for very long. She had her Grams and that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  112. and she had a friend that got all burned up LOL

    ReplyDelete
  113. There is a big plot hole here - to get to Silas, Bonnie needed Jeremy's tattoo and now she didn't have it. But eh, that could come up with sth.

But yeah, this being the cure and Damon dreading it seems like the most likely and predictable course :(

    ReplyDelete
  114. Yes, but why would Bonnie intentionally go out of her way to find some means to give a vampire magic? Or how would she accidentally come across it?

And if it was a way, Damon could just say 'no' and not get magic.

And how would it be a gift?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Did the opening of the cave close after they left?If not,she should no problem getting there. The details are a bit hazy for me.

    ReplyDelete
  116. ah, is that a supernatural show or is it normal?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Ambar Moreno CandelasFebruary 26, 2015 at 6:28 PM

Supernatural: I'm glad to see Cole again, it doesn't bother me. I enjoyed the last scene of Dean and Cole together. But I don't want that they kill him, I hope they don't do it.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I don't think Bonnie would ask first. You don't ask someone if they want a gift, you just give it to them.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Chris Wood, who had substantial arcs in both in Julie Plec’s “Vampire Diaries” and the CW’s “Carrie Diaries,” is set for the role of Jake, a former renegade turned cop, in Plec’s upcoming drama “Cordon.”

The series follows an epidemic that breaks out in Atlanta, leaving the large city quarantined and those stuck on the inside fighting for
their lives. The drama tells the story of loved ones torn apart, and how the society that grows inside the cordon reveals both the devolution of humanity and the birth of unlikely heroes.

Jake (Wood) is among those trapped inside the cordon, and finds himself there to protect the ones who need him most, even though his
first instinct is to save himself.

David Gyasi (“Interstellar”) will play Lex, Jake’s best friend. Also rounding out the cast are Christina Moses (“Starship: Rising,”
“Starship: Apocalypse”) and Kristen Gutoskie (“Beaver Falls”), Variety has confirmed.

“Cordon” comes from “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” showrunner Plec, and is based on the original Belgian series created by Carl Joos for Eyeworks. David Nutter will direct the pilot and will exec produce with Plec, who penned the pilot. Eyeworks, My So-Called Company and Warner Bros. Television will produce.

    ReplyDelete
  120. that break one the common rules of the show if a vampire did magic, but tvd is not above breaking its own set up rules anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  121. OMG-I just figured out what the unexpected gift is!!
Bonnie figures out from kai that in order to move someone from another prison world means someone else has to take that person's place. So,she stays in 1903 so he can have his mama!!!

    ReplyDelete
  122. I'm sure you're right. TVD wouldn't introduce her character just to reunite a wonderful mom who was wrongfully imprisoned with her loving sons! As usual Damon will leap into action without considering it might be a mistake.

    ReplyDelete
  123. They opened it in 2011 or so, in 1994 - when Bonnie went there - the cave would be closed.

    ReplyDelete
  124. But if she BECAME crazy/dangerous then that means she wasn't in 1858.

And if she was in 1858 - I'd have thought Damon would've noticed, that's all.

True about not making a mess, they couldn't introduce sth new to save their lives...

    ReplyDelete
  125. But they provide some explanation - they usually don't say 'just because, stop asking questions'.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yes, but why would she think it would be GIFT to Damon?

    ReplyDelete
  127. Well, I don't think Ian would have much trouble finding other jobs. If anything, leaving TVD now would probably help his career since he grows older just like the rest of us do and it would probably be good for him if he dived into movie career more. So while he keeps saying how grateful he is for TVD, for the fans and also for the recognition it gives to his foundation, his career is gonna be good either way.

And yes, I don't follow gossip either, that's why I only have a basic idea based on the headlines of things that get into Google's news feed for TVD, but according to some sites there have even been things like Nikki coming to the set, causing problems with the shooting. But sure, it may all easily be just BS. As long as the show doesn't suffer (much), they can imho do whatever works for them, it's their lives.

    ReplyDelete
  128. You're right, that also hurts. Stefan IS the main character, I guess not for Julie :(

    ReplyDelete
  129. Here, have my tinfoil hat! :D No, seriously, this must be the first case I hope you're not right. That would be the douchest thing to do to Bonnie, not something Damon would be up for, imho. Plus who is restoring the balance in 1994 then?

    ReplyDelete
  130. With the local coven being the Gemini Coven!

    ReplyDelete
  131. What is you theory if I may ask? :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. I know this is TVD but would they really tease her and Enzo falling in lust with her so much if it was for nothing at all? There is a good chance it's right, I just hope it will be more important than that...

    ReplyDelete
  133. Sounds really improbable, after all it goes against the "vampires can't do magic" rule, yet I love it - such a guilty pleasure thing :)

    ReplyDelete
  134. Yes TVD likes to recycle old storylines "the cure" was my guess from the moment Bonnie picked up the map and was heading to Nova Scotia where "the cure" was located. I think he gives it to Elena who might give it to Lily. Either way I think "the cure" is back on the table.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Let's be honest. My theory is kind of ridiculous. It's fun to think about though.

    ReplyDelete
  136. There's nothing about "seeds" of what's to come in that first reply you made to my post. That's completely inaccurate. Everything was immediate. It was about "now."

    - "Why have the SCPD go after Arrow now?"
    - "Why blame The Arrow for Laurel's mistake of not telling him and why go so far as to make The Arrow look like a criminal now?"
    - "...it makes zero sense to be hostile towards Arrow now."

But there is none of this going on now and you've no clue what triggers it later. If you had actually talked about seeds of what's to come instead of stating things as if they were facts in the present tense we wouldn't be discussing this now.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Haha, probably no, I just like going into the details of crazy theories and how they might work out to see if they could hold up. And I'm trying not to get hyped.

To give you an example - when I read about Damon helping Liz investigate the Gilbert accident in an episode synopsis, my first thought was "Damon done it". Then ...wait, that makes no logical sense due to his personality and logistics of that night.

But then, I started reading comments on how it was definitely either Damon, Stefan or somebody, at least, and I ended up believing the hype. So when that @#$#$ episode resolved it to nothing, I almost threw my laptop out of the window.

I'm just protecting my crazy action loving heart here.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Oh, hell. My theory was that Damon and Stefan's mother ran them off the road to their death because she thought it was Katherine in the car and Mom wanted to get her back for being the cause of her sons becoming vampires. LOL obviously that wasn't it.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Right she has to be some supernatural creature. The most logical is that when she died in 1857 someone turned her into a vampire and she went on a ripper binge for 40 yrs which landed her in prison world in 1903. Or she was wronged by some witch and put in 1 prison world from 1857 - 1903 and offered to take a loved ones place from 1903 to present date? However, as much as I hope it is Not true because the brothers could use a positive influence in their lives as well as the other characters now that Liz has died - but I do not think she is going to turn out to be good person.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Oh, Mama Salvatore would've been perfect (but then again, logic - why would she come back then and later just disappear, how come alive - there would have to be a lot of backstory explanations here).

So right now I'm going with the most obvious theories - the gift is the cure (...somehow), Damon gives it to Elena, Elena refuses it as proof she wants forever with him, season finale she gets humaned. Also, Stefan's love turns Caroline's humanity back on. This way, I cannot be disappointed.

But for crazy theories - Enzo was made vampire by Lexi...? XD

    ReplyDelete
  141. ...actually, now that I think about it - if Bonnie ends up going to the 1903 world, what if she takes Mama's journal where she details her history? Of how she ended up there?

...or of how she had an illegitimate son called Lorenzo? XD

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yeah, no way they're having Bonnie put away again. Plus, like you said - 1994 needs no balance.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Why would Bonnie bring back that cure when she knows that both Elena and Damon decided over a season ago that neither of them wanted it?

Oh, and if Lexi was the one to turn Enzo then I really hope we get a flashback about how much she regretted doing it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  144. Technically, Elena didn't decide that - she put off making the decision because she felt bad there was only one cure and why she should be the one to have it. Then she used in on Katherine in a fight.

Since Damon talked constantly to Bonnie about Elena, and apparently mentioned his doubts regarding her well-being post vampirism (Kai heard it), then perhaps Bonnie thought it was what Elena would want (even more than she thought so in season 4).

It wouldn't make sense that she'd give it to Damon though, but I can imagine some scenarios where it could come up without Elena present.

But then again, it wouldn't make sense that she didn't immediately mention it - news like that would be too huge to just casually mention it later.

Hmmm, so maybe not the cure - I'm starting to think it's news regarding Mama - maybe about Damon's parentage? XD

    ReplyDelete
  145. Elena, upon receiving the cure from Damon immediately tried to pawn it off on Stefan. No hesitation. That says everything right there. The only reason she still had possession of it afterward was because Stefan refused it too. In the end, no one wanted that dang cure except Rebekah. Go figure.

That's why the back half of season 4 pissed me off so much. TVD spent a huge chunk of the season chasing something that it turned out no one wanted. Talk about a waste of time.

Damon's parentage? Maybe Damon is adopted too. I'd be all for that. His dad was a jackass. :)

    ReplyDelete
  146. You know you might be onto something - at first I thought it was the cure but now why would that be considered something to "shake damon to his core"? Often times when I try and solve these little clues - my theories end up larger then the storyline. But still what gift could Bonnie possible give Damon that would shake him to his core? We know they spent hours and hours talking in the prison world, and Damon shared that this was his own personal hell - what if she can somehow re-do the day he killed Sarah's mom?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Jackson was not following her in MF. The first time we saw him was in 1x02 so he's only been stalking her since she showed up in NOLA.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Quick ??? on the cure - rules: If Elena takes the cure - she cannot become a vampire again right?

    ReplyDelete
  149. Time travel on two CW shows. Now that would be something. At first, I thought the "gift" may be introducing Damon to Sarah in an effort to help Damon heal the wounds of his past but the timing on that doesn't add up.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Oh, come on. If she hadn't offered it to Stefan, everybody would be like 'you selfish bitch, Elena, Stefan wanted it so bad'. We never got to see her making an actual decision exactly so that it would be inconclusive and we'd spend hours arguing it. I'm onto you, troll writers!

The whole cure storyline was executed terribly - in theory, the idea of a group of vampires learning of a cure, going after it and accidentally waking up an ancient evil sounds awesome. But then it was... Season 4.

And the constant whining from everybody about how unhappy they are to be immortal! Just stop whining, you sods!

Damon's parentage has been thrown about a lot - but learning of some dark family secret is something that would definitely shake him to the core and yet be plausible and easily carried out within the story.

Or maybe whatever Bonnie gives him tells him about Sarah's existence? That would tie in nicely with their beginning in 1994.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Could Bonnie actually be Damon's little sister or daughter or something? I have no idea how that might even work but I am hoping for something big.

    ReplyDelete
  152. The Nova Scotia cure? Yes. That would definitely add a lot of drama to Delena.

But would she wilingly take it now?

    ReplyDelete
  153. The whole point of the journey was to get the cure for Elena. I'm actually surprised the audience didn't crucify her as an "ungrateful bitch" for not taking it after all the trouble everyone went to.

Whatever this "gift" is, it's probably too much for me to ask that it's something positive because you know there's no way in hell it is. XD

    ReplyDelete
  154. what do you mean? you think Damon's not a Salvatore? i thought we were all thinking Enzo's a Salvatore?

    ReplyDelete
  155. That's a very interesting idea, but wouldn't that open up the possibility of re-doing any day they wanted? And would introduce time modification to TVD.

Too innovative for our writers XD

    ReplyDelete
  156. "jackass" is being kind to what that SOB really was

    ReplyDelete
  157. If Bonnie and Damon are related somehow that would be the most hilarious thing ever. I'm hoping for something big as well. Sometimes these synopses tend to exaggerate though.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Some people have speculated that maybe Giuseppe wasn't Damon's dad - there's absolutely zero to back this theory up though, it's just a crazy idea I've read.

But if Enzo is a Salvatore - then whose kid is he? Lily's? Some later Salvatore down the generations line?

And we still know nothing about when Enzo was born, when he was turned vampire and by who.

    ReplyDelete
  159. But then again, many people complained during Season 4 that if Elena takes the cure, it would be too predictable and boring, because it would just undo the season. If they had shown her intending to take the cure, Delenas would riot. Making it seem like maybe she wanted to, maybe she didn't was - imo - the writers' way out of the hole they dug for themselves. It was really lame, though.

The "gift" part and the "shakes him to the core" are ambiguous.

    A "gift" can be:
    1) something you think the recipient would want
    2) something you just give to somebody, regardless of intentions

"Shake to the core" can be:
    1) make happy with a sudden possibility
    2) induce negative emotions

So 2x2 = 4 options. No way of guessing. Whichever way, it's unexpected, and I'm also betting on bad, at least bad enough to warrant a cliffhanger, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  160. That journal is going to be discovered by someone, otherwise they wouldn't have shown it in the 1st place. You're right,i think bonnie will accidentally find it and know more about mama's true intention/nature.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Actually - I have read and posted several theories on Bonnie's gift and Damon being shaken to his core and I think this makes the most sense - Bonnie's gift is his mothers journal from 1903 - with lots of juicy family secrets. Which is why Damon is hell bent on getting his Mom out of this prison world.

I looked up Nov. 1, 1903 in history and not much going on during that time in the news which makes me think this is a special date in Salvatore family history or possible MF.

    ReplyDelete
  162. It doesn't matter how long we've seen him following her. He knows everything she did. Believe that the witches told him if you want to remember what was said in Crescent City. The fact that some things don't make sense to you doesn't change the story. Jackson knows everything, and it did not change how he feels about Hayley. Hate Hayley's character all you want (and yes, everyone knows that you do), that still does not change this fictional story.

    ReplyDelete
  163. The writers have the incessent need to make everything about damon and his journey.Stefan has been a guest star in his own show for 3 seasons now,so it doesn't surprise me.In fact, caroline dries actually told in an interview that she doesn't know how this character(Stefan) anymore-so,mystery solved-Solution-push him to the background and keep him engaged playing nanny.

    ReplyDelete
  164. All this seems to hinder on the accuracy of what's in the synopsis and how it is worded. History tells us that we shouldn't put too much faith in that. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  165. Not only they bothered to make a journal (it was the same page in all shots, I checked) - but all the sentences mentioned the northern lights. So it should logically tie back into it, somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I just re-watched the end scene where Bonnie jumps into Damon's arms and if you look at it like big brother little sis perspective it is actually kinda sweet and fits the storyline a little better IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  167. That's the loophole bothering me too!
The writers can't be that cruel,i think but i wouldn't hold my breath either!Just hoping i'm wrong!

    ReplyDelete
  168. 1903 should be some special date - so far they've kept up the date referencing pretty well.

There's no way of telling for sure though when was Mama sent to the prison - and was that the original Salvatore house? I could've sworn Damon had burnt it down to cover up Stefan's first killing spree (fan theory though probably).

    ReplyDelete
  169. But hasn't that been Stefan's role almost from the beginning - he revolved his life around Elena? So much to the point that the only true friends he has is Elena and Caroline? He never formed any male relationships on the show, which I always thought to be strange since he was the brother to go to high school - he never bonded with Jer., Matt, Tyler, or even Alaric and they all attended high school together - strange writing if you ask me.

    ReplyDelete
  170. But it's so much fun! ...damnit, now I'm whining.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Eh. Marginally so. I doubt that's where TVD intends to go with it though. It's not their style. There's not enough melodrama in that angle.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I will recheck the scene again to see what they showed written in those pages. You're right,it was not shown randomly.

    ReplyDelete
  173. As i said, the writing was balanced out by the strong season long mythological arc in the first 3 seasons,so the weak and flawed writing for stefan's character was masked upto a degree. Now things have changed. They kept saying it was stefan's journey but actually it was damon's from the beginning.

  174. I thought they all kept mentioning the northern lights so Bonnie would recognize this as the recurring celestial event that binds this magic. But there SHOULD be more to the diary, i.e. somebody finding it and giving it to Damon etc.

    ReplyDelete
  175. But isn't the leader of Gemini coven in charge of both of the prison worlds? This would also explain how the changes in Kai's magic affected both worlds, at the same time, thus connecting them.

  176. Damon, stefan and enzo had the same mother but damon and enzo's father was not giuseppe salavtore. So,damon is not a true salvatore, stefan is.That's what i'm thinking.

  177. Coming to think about it - the Elena without Damon memories seemed to make different decisions at times than regular Elena. Could this be the thing changing the situation... ? Like that the original Elena wouldn't take the cure but the new one that doesn't have memories might?

  178. Well firstly, you didn't even bother to let me elaborate my point. You only suggest I was having an "out there" theory.

Secondly :"...it makes zero sense to be hostile towards Arrow now."

That STILL holds truth to "The Offer"'s description. Quentin IS showing hostility to The Arrow for turn his back on him, as the press release is saying.

  179. Well, that was six years ago. But sure, there are no guarantees, ever. I've read an interview with him about his directing debut and in it he mentions that one of the reasons why he loves being on TVD is the press he gets and can use to promote his foundation, animal rights etc. So if TVD is going to end soon-ish, in like 2 seasons, he might realize that it's going to be great for everybody if he stays.

Yes, something like that :) Plus the guy really seems quite bored with the delena storyline, i.e. at least compared to the way he talks about bamon - there is a reason why he's called the king of bamon, lol.

But sure, at least the majority of these "news" are complete BS, so there is a good chance that all of them are. And, well, even though I AM a strong bamon shipper, I also really ship great storytelling, so if they somehow managed to make delena functional and interesting again, I would certainly prefer that over some badly written and paced version of bamon. Not that I would bet on this happening ;)

Well, I cannot wait for the next ep, one of the reasons being that I really like Ian and am quite intrigued about what his directional style is (Paul's is really great), especially since he calls the directing his best job experience so far. And then there are some great storylines like dark Car, mama Salvatore or Bonnie's PTSD. All in all, I've never loved pretty much all the storylines of TVD's season before but here I am now...

But you got me really intrigued about those tweets, I have no idea something like that happened - what was it about? :D

    ReplyDelete
  180. It might be - it's always so hard to tell which clue is a misdirection and which one is actually going to come back. But for Bonnie, at that time, it didn't matter what magic bound the place - she didn't need it to get out.

But it might be just background noise.

  181. You had an entire open ended post to make your point. There's no character limit. Why would I assume you needed to elaborate further when for all I know you could have simply said everything you wanted to right off the bat.

As far as Quentin goes, it makes all the sense in the world for someone entrusted to uphold the law to discontinue associating with someone who routinely breaks it. If it took the knowledge that Arrow was complicit in the cover-up of his daughters death then that would stand to be a very legitimate reason.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Good point, but I'd still have to suspend my disbelief here - if there's only one cure, then the same problem appears.

Plus, like I said somewhere else - it'd be so much more tragic if she got turned back without actively wanting to. Almost all big things in her life happen outside her control, and when she tries to control them, she usually ends up making things worse.

But that's just my preference ;)

    ReplyDelete
  183. Poor thing, that would be really cruel. Yet very much going with her overall storyline, yes. I just don't know how that could happen, who would force-feed it to her?

    ReplyDelete
  184. Well, I thought she needed to know it, that the northern lights are the other world's version of her solar eclipse, so they both mean the same thing and she can use them the same way she would use the eclipse (which she needed to catch).

But you're right that it's very hard to know which clues are really important and which are not.

  185. "You had an entire open ended post to make your point."

And besides trying to sound smarmy, you could have also either asked me to explain, or just not reply if you again would rather just create some argument where I'm already bored with this subject.

Also, Quentin has become pissy over the lies of Sara's death being kept away from him when he even risked his own well-being and going to prison with keeping The Arrow's secret. This whole change does not make a lick of sense with how far Quentin has gone to protect The Arrow even.

    ReplyDelete
  186. "And besides trying to sound smarmy, you could have also either asked me to explain"

You're absolutely right about that. That is completely my fault. I could have paused to ask questions instead of forging ahead and I didn't. That's on me.

"This whole change does not make a lick of sense with how far Quentin has gone to protect The Arrow even."

The difference here is that his daughter is dead and Arrow kept his mouth shut about it. Beforehand, he defended and worked with the Arrow in situations that were threatening the citizens of Starling City. This isn't one of those situations. This is the murder of his daughter. It's a huge breach of trust and if he can't trust someone who he already knows to be breaking the law on a regular basis it makes sense that he'd cut ties. Add to that the fact the personal element and Quentin's decision, though partly an emotional one, isn't what I'd call unexpected.

  187. ohhh that'd be so cute and i can already see a brother-sister vibe between them

    ReplyDelete
  188. so from villain to reluctant hero cool

    ReplyDelete
  189. yeah that's true, they don't say dates as a throwaway so 1903 is definitely something significant

    ReplyDelete
  190. My only knowledge of the TVD actors' lives comes mostly from forums, so I honestly can make no informed judgements, because I don't have enough info. But looking from outside - none of them have really 'made it'.

I'm not questioning his shipping preferences, I only questioned whether that would be a deciding factor - also for the reasons you listed, so yeah, something like that ;)

I'm interested in the ship baiting aspect of TVD in general - both on the show and among the fans, so when I have the time I check up on how it's going. Yesterday there was a pretty big twitter smackdown over the E!Online Tv Best Couple contest, so that was interesting to watch.

There was a tweet today from Brian Young that there's Delena in episode 21. Also, Mama Salvatore actress tweeted she's watching Delena scenes to prepare herself. Some Bamon fans got depressed. (Neither of those tweets actually proves anything, it's all baiting.)

A lot of people (and reviewers) are saying they are enjoying this season very much, but viewership numbers keep falling. And now Delena fans seem to be quitting in large numbers, so I'm curious whether it will be affect future ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  191. The Nova Scotia cure might be a total ruse though to get fans interested - nobody planned to make her a vampire either in Season 3, and then bam.

For all we know, there could be a magic fight and Elena gets accidentally turned.

    ReplyDelete
  192. Oh, you mean use them later? But Aurora goes on for a while, it's not just a few minutes like the eclipse, that's why I didn't think it matter for Bonnie's situation, but rather for Mama's overall situation.

    ReplyDelete
  193. Yeah, this always seemed weird to me - I thought they are trying to convey that she needed to start the spell at the right time just like she would have to if she was to use the eclipse, but northern lights go on for a while? Then again if mama Salvatore has been reliving the same day all over again, I suppose there would also have to be an exact moment when the time would go back to the beginning of the day? And that was the moment Bonnie needed to use, the moment that mirrored the eclipse? It's still kinda complicated :)
