Review:
This episode is about Sheldon showing jealous towards Amy working with his nemesis, Barry Kripke. He tells his feelings to Penny this. She teaches him a lesson about how to "let it go" but she still has a grudge against Amy. The reason is that Amy has been playing games with her to be an irritant towards her. It ends up that Penny gets mad at not only Amy but also Sheldon for testing experiments on her. At the comic book store, Leonard and her confront Shamy for their rude tactics and they enjoy irritating their own friends. While Sheldon did not seem what was the matter, Amy seem to be remorseful after she irritated Penny with her experiments.
Meanwhile, Stuart is reopening his comic book store and finally getting back on his feet. However, Howard is still mad at him for taking advantage of his own mother. Leonard and Raj leave the awkward situation so they won't be involved with the fight. They are at the deli picking up food for the comic book store. Then, they run into Nathan Fillion from the crime dramedy, Castle (as himself) during lunch time. He pretends to be someone else and is annoyed that they keep telling him he is Nathan Fillion. Reluctantly, he takes a selfie with the guys.
Ending:
Howard gets a phone call that would change his life forever. His mother had taken a nap while she was in Florida and she never woke up. This causes Bernadette and him to burst into tears of what happened. Sheldon asks Howard if he can make a comment but Leonard tells him it's not appropriate. However, he lets him say the comment. Sheldon comments that when he lost his own father when he was young, he never had friends that surrounded him while Howard has people that love him. Penny was crying even more because he thought he was going tell him to "Let It Go"!
The last scene is where the guys make a toast to Mrs. Wolowitz. During this, Sheldon is sad that she's gone because he won't have someone to yell at him. Leonard offers but he doesn't believe he'll be as good as her.
Overall:
Jim Parsons gives a great performance in this episode and he learns a lesson on how to not be so angry. It was so sweet when he comforted Howard on his mother's loss because he is known himself to be selfish and they both have an inconsistent friendship. It was good to see Stuart again after he was very underused this season. It would've been awkward if the whole gang went to Mrs. Wolowitz's funeral so I'm glad the writers got only Bernadette and Howard to go there. I wish I got to see more of Nathan Fillion but I only say that because I have a man crush on him. What did you all think of this entertaining but also somewhat emotional episode?
Carol Ann Susi, eat your heart out. RIP. Great tribute to her and it wouldn't be the same without her voice.
