Well, I hope, that Clarke will not just sit there and take it! I hope she will tell Oktavia that she had an impossible choice to make and that if she would have chosen differently HER BROTHER and his mission would have been in grave danger. And lets face it, if Bellamy fails, The 100 will die, die Grounders inside the mountain will die, Lexa and Clarke have no chance to win this war, and the Mountain Prince and his goons will probably come for the rest of the ark, because I think for 350+ people they will need more bone marrow than the kids can provide. And without the mountain men (=common enemy) and the goal of their defeat how long will the alliance hold? Lexa is powerful, but is she powerful enough to shield Clarke and the Ark from the retaliation that will erupt when the Grounders can't direct their anger towards Mount Weather? And lets not forget the reign of terror the Mountain Prince will unleash when he and all his men are free from the one weakness that kept them in check... It is always easy to sit on a high horse, when others make the hard choices for you.
I didn't expect Clarke's secret to come out so soon. I just hope Octavia will ultimately understand. If it was Octavia's decision, she would do anything to save her brother's life, but would she have let alot of people die to do so? Who knows.
I've seen in lots of places that everyone follows Clarke no questions her decisions or her role as leader blah blah blah. But I actually feel the complete opposite & I think the 100 writers are so brave for not only creating such a complex lead character but to make the supporting characters have conflict with her over important matters that not many other shows do. While I will always personally agree with the decision Clarke made I completely understand why fans & characters won't feel the same way. And for the show to address it & have everything have consequences.. such as Clarke& Octavia's relationship.. despite the decision probably being the right one it is just so great to see. Clarke & Octavia are two unique women. I don't believe Clarke will sit idle but Octavia is going to question it because she wouldn't be Octavia if she didn't. & the thing about Clarke is everytime someone reminds her or questions her about her decisions. She knows what she's done. She doesn't' need people to either remind her or placate her. She'll never forget anything she's done. Just like her line about Finn "& now I get to live with it" They are both such strong female characters but their differences are what make it so interesting to watch.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I've been waiting for a Clarke-Octavia for a long time.

ReplyDeleteIt's only a rift between Clarke and Octavia if the latter calls her "Princess" again. That'd be something.
ReplyDeleteSeems like an intense episode on all sides! Can't wait, regardless of the leaked kiss.
ReplyDeleteI love how this show never stops delivering and that it doesn't slow down. Bring it on!
