TVLINE | So now we have Hawley gone, Katrina and Henry dead, and a re-focus on Abbie and Ichabod as partners: Is this a reset of the series, based on fans’ sometimes harsh feedback throughout the season, or were these past two episodes the plan all along?
This had very much been the plan from the beginning. It just took a while to get there. But we always wanted to keep the show focused on them and always knew that some form of this was going to be the ending. Of course, you always want to give yourself room during the course of the season to see how things are playing and see how audiences are reacting, how the writers are reacting, how the cast is meshing, but ultimately, this really felt like the right way to end both this season and launch Season 3.
TVLINE | We didn’t see Neil Jackson in the final episode; any chance we’ll see him return as Abraham? I know he has other work now.
He’s shooting a pilot down in Australia. We couldn’t make the dates work. He’s been such a gift to the show; he’s fantastic. I really hope we get to see him. He’s terrific.
TVLINE |At one point in the finale, Ben Franklin tells Abbie he’s surprised she hasn’t encountered more modern-day people who know about the secret war. It read to me as foreshadowing. Was it?
[Laughs] Yeah, I think so. I’m so glad you noticed that…. That’s something that will play out.

so Katrina became a Big Bad these last two episodes? and wasn't redeemed?
ReplyDeleteUgh! I can't stand "Goofman". They could've done so much. And bringing the Kindred back was one of my TOP wishes! Like number 2. Yeah it was my number 2 wish. They need to deal with Abraham, they need to bring back the Kindred, more on Abbie and HER needs, and HER life, outside of the witness business, Ichabod needs to grieve. Idc if they don't make Ichabbie romantic, in factI plead that they don't! (i can wait til season 5 for that). Their relationship is great the way it is now. Their bond is so strong, and their on screen chemistry is amazing. I wouldn't care. You can Buffy-tize the hell outta Ichabod and make him grieve over "Angel" for a full season, and I wouldn't care. Just as long as he keeps fighting the good fight, (like Buffy) then idc. And he deserves to grieve. (Just don't blame it on Abbie). They need to give more on Jenny, iI'd like to see Macy come into play, they need to deal with Orion. Corbin's son, other people that know of the secret. God, there's so much. So much story to tell. So much more to explore.
ReplyDeletelol. "Very much the plan from the beginning." Dude you are not freakin' fooling anybody with your hilariously blatant lies.
ReplyDeleteI hope the writers will redeem her to be good again too but they don't as we see this episode.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I'm OK with that. Because if we let Katrina raise Jeremy since he born,it will change a story since season 1 to season 2 and a history of the world as the "Time Paradox" theory like Fringe used to do it that I don't want this show to be like that.
I totally agree with you. If I had confronted to Mark, I would have yelled to him "You're a liar!".
ReplyDeletethere wan't any point then, it came out of nowhere i mean trying to kill her husband the man she saved for 200 years, a little hard to believe
ReplyDeleteThey just wanted to kill off Katrina, because they messed up so much with her characters, so they made her villain for 10 minutes. Felt totally out of character. I expected better from SH. That show used to be so unique and original, it's a real pity what they've done with that second part of the season.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even sure I want another season now.
Yeah, I don´t believe him either when he says that this was the plan from the begginning, otherwise they wouldn´t have done Katrina go to the evil side so quickly and with no explanation, they could ahve played with that all season long
ReplyDeleteso ridiculous omg do anyone actually believes that?
ReplyDeleteLoved the episode. Katrina was the last of the distractions to get rid of. A tighter cohesive cast moving forward, is a good move. I'm in the minority, but I really liked Hawley. At any rate, I can't wait to see what they have for us next season.
ReplyDeletesame :(
ReplyDeleteI hate what they did to Katrina as character... SOOO PISSED and DISAPPOINTED.
