  1. Kind of excited but also, it gets a bit tedious when these fantasy shows transplant characters and they suddenly have to convince someone of who they are. I hope it takes less than half the episode for Abbie to convince Past Crane that she's telling the truth.

  2. So glad he got her out. Ben!!!

  3. I'm thinking 5 min flat. haha, I have this wish that she'll pour out all the things she knows about him and he'll just be all, "damn woman, are we married in the future?" LOL that would be hysterical.

  4. Ok it looks interesting, but the more interesting it looks the more bad means for the show. I hate when they reset timelines, that messes up not only our characters but also their relationships and the story line so much that we have to wait until the end of the series to find out what has changed and what has not (and even then we never find out).

  5. Tom in clothing of his era, but fresher nice. I wonder if Abbie will get a chance to wear a corset gown. Can't wait to see Katrina. If she is going evil I hope she's the greatest baddie ever to walk Sleepy Hollow, an if this is just a breakdown from the traumatic events with her son (and ever since she got out of purgatory) then I hope it's a fast resolving so she can start fresh in S3. Fully aware of her powers at this stage and eager to form other attachments besides Ichabod. Maybe a friendship with Jenny or Cynthia. Hell let her start her new Coven to aid team witness. That would actually be fun to see, recruit new problematic young witches (since we now know they're are plenty in Sleepy Hollow) watch them cause havoc as well as learn their craft with Katrina's aid and experience. Ichabod's wife can still do her own thing, be powerful and have a purpose, yet give help when needed to the witnesses.

Plenty of room in Sleepy Hollow for everyone

  6. By going back in time they have changed everything, Ichabod in the future isn't there. Abbie stopped him from death by asking to talk to him. Headless still has his head. Now if Katrina stays in the past and raises Jemery then he is not the horseman of war. So Irving never lost his soul to him. Plus the last show never really happen because they didn't kill Henry. Katrina never spent time in purgatory or time with headless. Past Ichabod loves his wife and doesn't have issue with her. He might even understand why she is chosen not to put him in an enchanted sleep. Now we know Abbie I'll get back to the future, but how will Ichabod because who ever dose will face the same issue with the coven, because they told Ichabod it was Katrina playing with fate by saving him when he should of died that put her in purgatory that if they let him die she wouldn't of been put there. Him being tied to headless was not the reason. She tried to changed that so if headless was kill Ichabod could still live. I believe Katrina still love Ichabod she is hurt about what happen with Jemery. So does Ichabod leave his wife and unborn child just to go to the future. Not sure if they can pull this off

  7. Did you write all that as fast as I read it without full stops 😄
And I agree time travel should have been a plot for season 4 maybe. But apart from other things it's a good reset button for a show. Shame it had to be used so early.

  8. My poor Abbie, I hope it doesn't take much for her to convince Crane but it did take awhile for her to believe him so what's fair is fair. I know he's not going to believe what she says about Katrina though, he was so in love with her back then.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ok I have a question for the ones who don't like Katrina because she has lied to Ichabod. Abbie gone back to stop Katrina from letting Ichabod die. So what if Abbie doesn't tell Ichabod the whole story about the fact that Katrina was put in purgatory for putting him in an enchanted sleep or that she lost her son because of it and he turned into the horseman of war. Will you say that is alright or a lie is a lie, should that cause issue between them. If you think it is ok then you are two face because you lash out at a reason for him not to forgive Katrina because she lied. Then the same should go for Abbie, because I don't think she wants him to know the whole truth. He might understand were a Katrina is coming from and I don't think he wants his wife to suffer in purgatory or his som to duffer without is mother.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Why wouldn't she tell him that? Abbie has always told him the truth. The only one time she kept something from his was the time she kept the medallion from Ichabod and that was during the time before when they weren't talking.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Abbie shouldn't be telling Ichabod anymore of the future then what is happening during the present time they are occupying. Let's not forget about trying to not change the future as much as a person can. How would it even be a lie if Abbie didn't tell him about future events.

So yeah I think it is okay. It is nowhere even in the same category of the secrets that Katrina has kept for whatever reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  12. All this is things that you hope will happen and not things that will. The only unmitigated fact that we can assume from this is that both Abbie and Ichabod will be in the future for S3.

Jeremy can still become the Horseman of War, Katrina can still be sentenced to Purgatory, Abraham can still lose his head, Ichabod can still be placed in an enchanted sleep tied to the Horseman. It just all may come about differently and have different consequences.

    ReplyDelete
  13. But why go back in time if it is all going to be the same that doesn't make sense . I believe that Abbie will go back. Some how Ichabod will end up there, I do not believe Henry will be the horseman of war, I think Katrina will stay and raise Jemery some one else will put Ichabod in the enchanted sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  14. To be honest I really prefer the science solving issues than the magic, it is both clever and fun and more in tune with the wackiness that is Sleepy Hollow. Yet I do want to see Jenny being associated with magic on some low level but I don't want a side show of Witch Academy. The focus of the show should always be on the witness with everyone else getting little peeks here and there, haven't we already learnt are lesson.

Don't take this the wrong way and I understand that Katrina is your fav but she is not a lead character on the show her purpose is to help the witness when needed point blank. I will say the same for Frank and Jenny. B plots that aid the A plots are great and what works for this show. This is also why I would prefer her to remain in the position of adversary against the Witness so that she can showcase that power in her magic, form her own coven and associates. I don't see anything wrong with her staying the way she is now if it works.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Looks good and since I fell in love with the pilot it would be good seeing an reversal with Abbie as the out of time character. Ben Franklin is a hoot.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I never said Katrina should be or is the lead, why does everyone automatically assume that when someone brings something productive for this character to do besides be a damsel, which is one of the many complaints. I also never said she should be in every episode or taking center stage with her Witch Academy. I simply meant she can be a recurring character like Henny, Jenny, Hawley but doing something other than waiting in the Cabin, brooding over everything or napping. Something useful with a purpose that in future plots the witness could use to aid them. Maybe sometimes her young pupils could get into trouble which gives the witness other problems to solve rather then annual monsters of the week. Would that really be so bad? A little scientific investigation rather than full on magic, more material for the writers to play with when they're still figuring out how to bring on the next horsemen?

Pointless really because of the live tweets the reviewers did I already have guessed the fate of my favourite character.

    ReplyDelete
  17. They don't reset. They just create another timeline since Abbie go back to 1781.

    ReplyDelete
  18. From the preview I don't think she tells him it's Katrina. She kept saying "another person is with the horseman" and "a witch." When she said witch he looked at her like suuuurrre, you crazy lady w/ weird clothes. lol. I know Abbie has got lots of pics on her phone of Ichabod w/ her and the rest of the gang, including Katrina. Even without reception, she can show him the pics and even shared texts! Of course, I don't think the writers considered how easy a fix the whole convincing Crane thing could be or rather they'd like to pretend that fix isn't glaringly obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes, everything should be completely erased in the future in that split second Abbie called Ichabod off the field. They will have to get all the other variables in line to get things back exactly or close to what they were, including having Ichabod die and magically enchanted to wake up in 200 years, I'd think. Sure, they can fix all the apocalypse stuff by directly beating the horseman now, but where does that leave Ichabod? Alive to live out his 18th century life, meaning already dead in 2015? Is there even an Ichabod still looking for Abbie back in 2015, or did he poof out of existence (i.e. buried in his coffin). If so, will he be aware of the changes as they happen because of what they just went through or will new memories just appear in his brain and events that now didn't happen just gone? What of Frank and Jenny? Katrina is the only one in good shape here because she is back in her old body, pregnant w/ Jeremy, with her 2015 consciousness intact. Ugh, time travel is always tricky. They say this will leave us feeling the air of finality; I don't like that one bit!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well Abbie had to go back because Katrina said she was going to just let Crane die. If she did, the apocalypse would've come a lot sooner, likely before Abbie's birth. The horseman and Crane wouldn't be linked together by blood. Idk the whole thing with that is a little weird. Katrina keeps sayings she should've let Crane die, but in a way she did for many, many years. How she ever planned on awakening him without waking the horseman I just don't understand.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm not a Katrina fan, but your points are valid. I think she'd be just fine in that supporting capacity, though I find her so much more interesting as Evil Katrina. We don't know that she's going to die. Honestly, because they keep talking about the "ultimate sacrifce" I won't be surprised if both Witnesses die. Because we don't have a renewal yet, this could be the way they end it. If renewed well it's Sleepy Hollow and magical, so they'll find a way to bring them back. Anything could happen. And are Frank and Jenny in this episode at all? Because if it is one person that will sacrifice his or her life, it is pretty scary when narrowed down to just the three--not like I want Frank or Jenny to die but just helps the odds a bit. Hopefully, this whole reset button not only resets the show but also the fandom! I think the writers are getting back to what worked in season one, so hopefully all fans can go back to enjoying the show without wacky creative changes coming outta left field.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thank you for that. I appreciate that your not a Katrina fan but saw the point I was trying to make. An yes I do feel I know the fate of my favourite character. I was all for her going evil, least it would have stopped her brooding over things, constantly stuck on pause. I'm fascinated with witches and their lore so I'm very disappoint with how they have written Katrina in season 2, and with her ripple effect ruining many aspects of other characters too.

They said there is no cliffhanger, everything will be resolved. So if there is another season, it all starts fresh. Adding to that Katia's interview about being hopeful she has a place in S3. Yet I can guess the finale for this character.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Do we see Jenny/Frank or Hawley off to the side doing their own thing that did not relate directly to what the witnesses was doing, No. We barely see Ichabod and Abbie doing their own thing. It will be nice if implied that she is practicing her skills with other witches but no I don't need or want to see her being a teacher to a bunch of young pupils finding their way. Now if we want to make her pupil Jenny an already established character it might work, but new characters solely as witch pupils I see disaster.

Why did I assume you want her on par with the leads because none of the other supporting characters are doing anything on screen that you suggested for Katrina to do. We have no idea where Jenny lives or if she ever completed her community service. So yes if implied Katrina can start a whole school of witchcraft but do I want to see her playing Headmistress no. Yes I understand you point where she can come upon a book of spells and conjure something up but once done we wouldn't need to see it again. If she does somehow lose the bad mojo (which would be foolish imo) her joining the team at the same level as Jenny/Frank is good enough. We don't go into depth about what they are doing when not in assistant with the witness we don't need to get into it with Katrina either.

Katrina can have a purpose as a villian whats wrong with that?

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's why time travel is such a sticky plot. You go back but try not to change anything so the the future is intact, but even the smallest things changes things anyway. In the Present things may look the same but they aren't.

I don't know what is going to happen but it is going to reset the show, so there will be two witness and they are fighting to stop the apocalypse.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Did I say there was anything wrong in Katrina being a villian. Nope I would relish it, being that she has been in this war longer than Ichabod, longer than any present character would mean she it the ultimate Queen Bee. But her sudden (least to me) descend into darkness doesn't convince me she was bad to the bone to begin with. The writers tell us she has had this darkness inside of her nature since her very beginning......righttttt....so all that time fighting alone behind the trenches, running her own coven, being attacked by them, by a tree monster at her weakest after childbirth, then for 200yrs surrounded by evil and suffering in purgatory, being tied to a tree with the very embodiment of evil (Moloch) close by...nothing woke or even nagged her black magic, then all of a sudden 2 episodes in to the finale and it awakens but for a simple Warlock from purgatory. No explaination to how it was in her nature but not her grandmothers, what the bleeding of the black rise meant. All I saw was a mother in grief lashing out to the closet loved one next to her. Not the making of an ultimate Queen Bitch but another plot where Katrina will comeback from her high and crash. Queue more damsel in dressing. At least my suggestion meant she could be powerful, good for team witness, productive, able to explain her absences in episodes, able to pair/work with other characters instead of just Ichabod and abbie and give some material for the writers if they are sticking with 18 episodes for 7 season.

Her decent into darkness is an inconsistent as her everything in Season 2. As my favourite character and one I see great potential in, I want the best for her even in a supporting role. What's wrong with that?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Her descent into darkness was written as sloppy as her entire two season run. Having a darkness inside of you means just that, it is somewhere inside of your pysche. It doesn't matter how long you have been fighting on the opposite side, it doesn't matter that you didn't snap earlier in life. The moment you do you do. You see a sudden descent I and others see a long line of instances where she displayed some iffy behavior. Maybe it was in her grandmother's nature who cares if definitely was in her son's.

This has been the best characterization for Katrina as rushed and sloppy as it was. This has been the best performance that Katia has given as rushed and sloppy as it was written. The good witch Katrina is not working, the auxiliary team witness member is not really needed if she can do something better with something else.

She could be powerful, productive, able to explain her absences in episodes, able to pair/work with other characters instead of just Ichabod and abbie and give some material for the writers if they are sticking with 18 episodes for 7 season and give the witness a run for their money as like you said the ultimate Queen Bitch which is not how I see her at all.

Katrina does not have to die in the finale, she does not have to crash an burn or continue to be a damsel in distress. She is finally doing what she wants for herself, she likes the power blood magic gives her, good for her. She wants to avenge her son good for her. Do you Katrina give the witnesses hell but better than that entertain me something that wasn't happened in your other role.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lol I guess we just see them differently. I actually bought SH as an assembled cast. Yes I know the witnesses are front and center but shows can do that and still give every character an individuality, which brings (to me) spice in a team. (Buffy/Angel) Cant believe these writers gave us S1.

I will have to agree to disagree on this matter. I can't say how but I know after the finale Katrina will be no more. So no point in discussing Katrina in any potential, good or bad. I just hope we get a decent villain for S3.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yes each character should have an individuality the writers just aren't doing it so it is what it is. Found out these are not the same writers from S1 maybe that is the problem.

I really hope that is not the case, I really want to see Katrina in this new role and think that she would be a compelling foe.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ah new writers now that explains a hell of a lot!
Katia said in an interview that she hoped to comeback for S3. Leads me to believe her characters death because if she merely remained behind to raise her son, why would she want to come back to the future again. But as this is SH the dead can come back.

Will it be the same writers for S3?

    ReplyDelete
  30. She could still be alive in the future because remember in season one some of the witches were still alive and Katrina called him I motral, plus if he is not linked to the horseman how will he be woken up.aybe she is good but because of what happend her and Ichabof aren't together.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like Ichatrina, but katrina as an individual is the draw for me. I loved his devotion to his wife but ichabod just annoys me most of the time. Reminds me of an old Uni professor of mine.

There is a glimmer of hope then, with S1 or new writers. If this team couldn't write Katrina in S2 what chance have they of understanding her in S3. I understand that everything will be refreshed but if Katrina and Ichabod are in the same show there will always be this history between them and could blind writers again. That's why I don't think they mean Katrina when they say refresh.

As to the horsemen another major complaint was the horsemen being linked to the Cranes. I bet they have a new character play the horsemen with a devious history of his own no way linked to the Cranes. An to Ichabod waking up, that could be done another way, say he slept but this time on a spell timer or that Abbie/Jenny woke him in the future. Maybe his spirit was linked to the bell this time and it was foretold that on a certain day it must be rang so many times.....thus waking Ichabod.

Many many ways to write past .....we the past lol

    ReplyDelete
  32. If Abbie works with Ben Franklin and they find a way to enchant Ichabod like Sleeping Beauty (lol), Katrina will be free to stay in the past to keep Henry because her coven won't be hunting her down for doing the enchantment herself. She's on a mission to kill Ich so it's all on Abbie and really whatever Franklin knows about magic, I imagine. In that scenario, everyone's happy! Plus I think John Noble was our "dead and stay dead" character Orlando Jones was talking about. I have a feeling any deaths now will be reset. It should be interesting to see how it plays out.

I think we have a few of the same writers but not many. Honestly, I won't be surprised if kost of the writers and showrunner are fired if renewed based on the ratings dip. Strangely the writers that wrote the insanely amazing pilot left shortly after. Seems absurd when they had an instant hit.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That is very surprising. I dont know how they operate but when I write, I don't let go of what I've created, even after it's been published. It's my baby, my pride. I can't imagine how some S1 writers could just leave when you could tell in those first few episodes what a goldmine the materiel was.

It's a shame overseas ratings are not counted. From what I've seen SH is popular here (UK). It gets promoted on at least 3 different SKY channels a dozen times a day.

It there hope for S3. I read that FOX can be brutal in its cancelling of shows and once cancelled don't ever get picked up again?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yes! From the previews it looks like it might take longer, which is a bit annoying. I suppose they are trying to mirror Abbie's experience as closely as possible with Ichabod's. Easiest fix is her phone! She doesn't need reception to pull up what I imagine are countless pics of Crane and Abbie together and everyone else! The phone alone is something amazing, but the pics and even texts within should do the trick. Of course, the writers will likely have her phone dead now or stolen by the guards but that would've been a HILARIOUS way to convince Ichabod. Abbie could be like "Here's us at the bar" and "Here's you in your new clothes you only wore for two minutes" etc. Possibilities are endless. Man, writers!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Don't know about new writing team but something needs to happen with the one we have now.

Even if she raises Henry they age slowly don't they. Whatever happens in the finale I really want to to work with what we already have, just fix the problems and utilize the characters better. I'm reading that reviewers are happy with the finale so I think most things work themselves out.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The Horseman became a lovesick lump that was the major complaint. I adore his rivalry with Ichabod and thought that the main dispute between them should have been the betrayal of friendship. There is no need to erase that history it leads to great conflict, just keep it focus on their friendship and betrayal with a hint of jealously.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Unfortunately 4 of those reviewers who I'm familiar with petitioned to have Katrina/henry written out. I found their words skipping with joy a very good indication that Katrina is a gone. I'm like you. Utilize the team they have, make them work. I can see a powerhouse of potentials. I'm shocked more experienced writers than me are blind to it. No need for evil to break army Apocolypse, the writers are breaking them from inside out.

I don't blame fans to just want Katrina gone. They've had enough and frankly with the current writers I rather she is gone than to wait for another damsel in distress season fail. With new writers there is hope with old writers (S1) they is the intimate knowledge of the charaters.....lol the middle is the heavy weight.

    ReplyDelete
  38. For that you need to dangle Katrina between them. To keep the rivalry, betrayal and jealously alive they need to have a constant reminder. Besides another major complaint (😝Sorry) was that as Abe he was no longer the brutal killing machine headless. An they called this triangle part of the Crames Drama, which is a separate complaint altogether. I loved the flashbacks but without the necklace making Katrina a bridge for the boys to see each other they would be no friendship betrayal or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I haven't studied the pics or promos. To come up with a big theory. Just took one glance and that's it. And I was joking, mostly wishful thinking. Lol. But um, you do know they took her phone and everything already in the last episode, right? So I doubt she'll be able to show him her phone once he first visits her. Idt the guards will give it to her right away, even if Ichabod asks. I think the best bet at first is just to tell him what she knows of him, and what he's told her. But then that could also backfire and he might think she was a spy. Lol..oh well, it'll be fun watching her convince him either way. I do like that they're mirroring this though. It's very enjoyable. (Or should be)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't blame the fans either, as a fan I am only here for one purpose to be entertained if that is not happening the easiest solution for me is to get rid of what is working.
As a writer and/or producer I would expect for them to care a little more about their work and actually try and correct issues. There is nothing wrong with the characters that we have the problem is in the way they are being written. Correct your mistakes, figure out what was working and what wasn't, adjust whatever is needed. At least try new things before you just give up.

    ReplyDelete
  41. You don't need to constantly see it to know that it is there. I don't need to see the Horseman's head for him to engage in battle with Ichabod. Flashbacks on their friendship takes the place of the necklace only thing we miss out on is commentary between the two in the present. I actually liked humanizing Headless but I agree with those that complained about him losing his edge.
You don't have to dangle Katrina between them because it doesn't have to be only about her. Ichabod and Abraham were best friends and rivals before Katrina entered the picture. The competition between them goes beyond the love of a woman, the betrayal the Abraham feels should go well beyond that of a woman also. I have two friends who still don't deal with each other over something that happen over ten years ago. There is no constant reminder but the wound is so deep that it festers at the surface.
