Ratings Breakdown:
ABC topped this first Thursday in February, besting No. 2 CBS by four-tenths of a household rating point (or six percent). But the more interesting observation was NBC, which had mixed results care of its revamped Thursday.
The immediate positive for NBC was just renewed “The Blacklist,” which moved into the Thursday 9 p.m. hour with a rock-solid (and second-place) 6.8 rating/11 share in households. Comparably, this was the best metered market rating for “The Blacklist” since week two of this season (also a 6.8/11 on 9/29/14), and it trailed competing “Scandal” on ABC (#1: 7.5/12) by only nine percent.
The debut of NBC lead-out drama “Allegiance,” however, took a tumble with a third-place 3.4/ 6 at 10 p.m. While this was (excluding the 3.8/ 7 for the series-finale of “Parenthood” one week earlier) NBC’s best rating in the Thursday 10 p.m. hour since “Peter Pan Live!” on Dec. 4, 2014, overnight retention for “Allegiance” out of “The Blacklist” was only 50 percent. And it trailed competing “How To Get Away With Murder” on ABC (season low 6.2/11) and older-skewing “Elementary” on CBS (4.9/ 8) by 45 percent and 31 percent, respectively. Since most new series drop in the vicinity of 10 to 20 percent in week two (the recent exception, no doubt, is “Empire” on Fox), consider this a very disappointing start for “Allegiance.” But two thumbs up to “The Blacklist.”
Earlier in the evening on NBC was an encore airing of the post-“Super Bowl” telecast of “The Blacklist” at a fourth-place 3.7/ 6 from 8-9 p.m.
Top-rated for the evening, once again, was “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS at a 10.2/16 in the 8 p.m. half-hour. And it led into sophomore “Mom” at a 6.8/11 (#2) at 8:30 p.m., which held a respectable 67 percent of the lead-in. Next on the Eye net was “Two and a Half Men,” which concludes in two weeks, at a third-place 5.6/ 9 at 9 p.m., followed by a repeat of “The Big Bang Theory” (in place of failed former time period occupant “The McCarthys”) at a 4.9/ 8 at 9:30 p.m. (#3). One week earlier, the final episode of “The McCarthys” scored a 4.2/ 7.
As a reminder, “Two and a Half Men” will conclude with a one-hour episode on Thursday, Feb. 19 from 9-10 p.m. ET. Leading into the finale at 8:30 p.m. will be the series debut of “The Odd Couple” reboot, featuring Matthew Perry as sloppy Oscar Madison and Thomas Lennon as neat freak Felix. One week later on Feb. 26, current Thursday 8:30 p.m. time period occupant “Mom” moves to 9:30 p.m. ET out of encore telecasts of “The Big Bang Theory” at 9 p.m.
In week three news, Fox dramedy “Backstrom” took a hit opposite the increased competition with a distant fourth-place 2.6/ 4 in the household overnights from 9-10 p.m. Comparably, this was 24 percent below the 3.4/ 5 one week earlier, with retention out of the 8:30 p.m. portion of lead-in “American Idol” (7.0/11) of just 37 percent. Three-week overnight track for “Backstrom”: 5.2/ 8 – 3.4/ 6 – 2.6/ 4.
Overall, “American Idol” scored a second-place 6.7/11 from 8-9 p.m., which was two-tenths of a rating point (or three percent) above the 6.5/10 in the time period one week earlier. Third in the 8 p.m. hour was veteran “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC at a 6.2/10, which bested the first hour of year-ago time period occupant “The Taste” (2.5/ 4) by a hefty 148 percent.
The CW capped off the evening with tired “The Vampire Diaries” (#5: 1.4/ 2), which was equal to one week earlier, and sophomore “Reign,” which sunk to a series-low 0.8/ 1 from 9-10 p.m. Maybe The CW should rethink that third season renewal for “Reign.”

Looks like The Blacklist is around a 2.8 and it seems that Allegiance failed to make its mark.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Allegiance flopped
ReplyDeleteGood for TBL
Great for TGIT
jikes Reign, not that it dosen´t have the CW worst spot competition wise but still....
ReplyDeleteTough hit for Reign! They should stop airing it after this March and replace with The Messengers. I'm saying this as a fan of the show.
ReplyDeleteObviously, Scandal beat The Blacklist. But, HTGAWM had lower rating than Blacklist?
ReplyDeleteAs I expected, people sampled Blacklist SB episode part two but didn't bother with The Americans Allegiance.
ReplyDeleteDismal numbers for Backstrom.
Goodbye Allegiance.
ReplyDeletePaging NBC: Chicago Med will see you now Thursdays at 10 PM.
ReplyDeletePredictions for The Blacklist?
ReplyDeleteMore like Endgame. The Blacklist and Chicago Med aren't really compatible.
ReplyDelete2.7-2.9
ReplyDeleteScandal?
ReplyDeleteTBL is gonna end becoming an island on that night
ReplyDelete3.1-3.3
ReplyDeleteHard to tell. The Voice skews older female, transitioning into the 10 PM hour. NBC's Thursdays in general skew younger than Monday through Wednesday. So around a 3.0 when it averages out?
ReplyDeleteWatch until NBC gives The Slap's sub 1s lead-in.
ReplyDeleteThe Blacklist has never been a young-skewing show so I think a 2.8 is more likely but I'd agree a 3.0 is possible.
ReplyDeleteBlacklist will be the bright spot on NBC Thursdays. This is a very promising start.
ReplyDeleteMurder will do ok, though it seems like it will fall from the 3s this week.
Backstrom had no chance going against Scandal and TBL
NBC's version of Grey's Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteAlthough much, much lower.
Bye Backstrom! Nice bump for AI. I am enjoying this season compared last year.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to know the ratings of TBBT! #Empire
Hope we get the top 25 ratings today.
ReplyDeleteDid Allegiance get a 1.5?
ReplyDeleteGreat for the Blacklist,CBS Lineup,TVD(its good in a very tough timeslot) andABC lineup
ReplyDeleteAh, Reign! :((((( A move to Fridays would've been better. At least, it's just one tenth down in HH against huge competition.
ReplyDeletesame here. I really want to know how these shows did!
ReplyDeleteLOL Allegiance flopped as people expected.
ReplyDeleteIt will be about that number, this is a big flop.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on where The Blacklist ended up doing.
ReplyDeleteToday is way too exciting for us NOT to get top25.
ReplyDeleteSomething like
ReplyDeleteMondays
The Voice
Chicago Med
Tuesday
Undateable (if renewed)/NEW COMEDY
One Big Happy (if renewed)/NEW COMEDY
The Voice
The Night Shift
Wednesday
Chicago Fire
SVU
Chicago PD
Thursdays
NPH/The Biggest Loser
The Blacklist
Endgame
Fridays
Dateline (2 hrs)
Grimm
Sundays
Celebrity Apprentice/A.D. (if renewed)
Celebrity Apprentice/Odyssey (if renewed)
New Drama
I hope HTGAWM isn't too low and Allegiance looks dead
ReplyDelete^
ReplyDeleteTry reading the comment, while watching the avatar.
Why did on earth CW renewed Reign? Those are horrible raitngs.
ReplyDeleteProbably around a 2.7-2.8?
ReplyDeletewhy is it so important?
ReplyDeleteBecause it's the biggest showdown of the season?
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that the Blacklist did great in its new time slot!
ReplyDeleteNow NBC just needs to fix the 8pm and 10pm slots.
Allegiance flopped hardly, shame it wasnt a bad episode.
ReplyDeleteBackstrom,as expected,is dead.
I expected Allegiance would fix 10 pm
ReplyDeleteThat's not going to be easy.
ReplyDeleteNPH and the ENDGAME next season will fix those 2 slots.
ReplyDeleteI mean why Top 25? What significance does it have?
ReplyDeleteJust like Allegiance would?
ReplyDeleteOr Game of Silence
ReplyDeleteIts the first step; they had an awful night altogether, and now they have the first piece for rebuilding the night
ReplyDeleteWell in my opinion,Endgame and GoS have more potential that Allegiance.
ReplyDeleteBecause it's the most accurate numbers we have until the fast affiliate results are released and you can more or less tell what a show did there. HH have way too much leeway.
ReplyDeleteHopefully!
ReplyDeleteNBC will try to replicate Scandal/HTGAWM so yes the ENDGAME is a lock for Thursday 10pm next season.
ReplyDeleteBecause the competition is brutal! We want to know how the demo battle is going to be resolved!
ReplyDeleteThe Thursday 10 slot of NBC has been a disaster since ER's end.
ReplyDeleteTry being the operative word.
ReplyDeleteYup.
ReplyDeleteThe SB episode proved that the Blacklist skews old.
Am I the only one who finds Thursday ratings boring? Everyone else seems to look forward to them more than any other day :/
ReplyDeleteI think Allegiance is the biggest flop of the season, considering the lead-in(even SofA,MHS and Selfie,The McCarthnys had OK 1st episode ratings)
ReplyDeleteWednesday are more important for me, but Thursdays are fun because of the huge competition!
ReplyDeleteYou have The Blacklist going up against Scandal. The biggest dramas of their network going head-to-head, toe-to-toe.
ReplyDeleteWhat can be more exciting?
I don't watch either of them so I'm not really bothered by it :P
ReplyDelete@omabin, care to spray us some of your ratings magic?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing is missing is Empire in the mix, and TBBT/Mom there too
ReplyDeleteTrue if the demo was 25-54 it would post higher marks
ReplyDeleteGod, no. Empire and Scandal would cannibalize each other. But I'd agree TBBT vs. Empire would be fantastic to watch
ReplyDeleteAllegiance is probably a DVR show
ReplyDeleteWednesdays used to be important for me cos of The 100 but now I just assume it got 0.6 in prelims and adjusted down to 0.5! Mondays (Scorpion) and Sundays (OUAT) are the ones I look forward to most other than that.
ReplyDeleteI'm losing since I went with over. Bad Allegiance.
ReplyDeletesure after one episode with no final or +3 which adevertisers are now looking at
ReplyDeleteOne of the two would end up really hurt; TBBT and The Voice hurt each other severely on Mondays, so who knows what would happen?
ReplyDeleteChicago Med...yuk
ReplyDeleteYup. Spader must attract an older crowd, kind of like Viola Davis does to HTGAWM.
ReplyDeleteHTGAWM has the benefit of airing behind a young-skewing Scandal so it kind of offsets that.
I think TBBT hurt the Voice more than the Voice hurt TBBT.
ReplyDeletewell of course a block is always the goal for EVERY network , even CW which Fails
ReplyDeleteI think Empire would hurt Scandal tremendously!
ReplyDeletePossibly, though both of them are down quite a bit year to year
ReplyDeletei'd kill myself before I woauld watch 2 hours of Dateline, a pretentious tabloid show
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear that The Blacklist did great on Thursdays!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Scandal would hurt Empire. Not hugely but in someway.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you have a clue what Thew Slap is about
ReplyDeleteTBBT is more due to the jerking around on the schedule than The Voice, tbh.
ReplyDeleteIt's not like it's going to be around long enough for us to find out.
ReplyDeleteYup. It's going to be the strongest scripted rating since the Office finale, so its a huge step in the right direction for Thursday 9pm.
ReplyDeleteScandal would be back to 2s, possibly mid 2s, while Empire would get back to high 3s, I think
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm a fan of Reign, its ratings are so low, so I think it should be moved to fridays, just like Hart of Dixie and Beauty and The Beast deserved that last season.
ReplyDeleteI hope The Cw gives a better chance to The Messengers. It's not like The Messengers is that compatible with The Vampire Diaries either, and the competition (The Blacklist and Scandal) is tough, but hopefully it would find its audience.
I haven't seen The Messengers' pilot, but I liked the trailer and I'd like to see it having a good chance. If The Cw doesn't promote it well, very few people will know it will be aired on fridays at 9/8pm.
I'd agree with this.
ReplyDeleteNope. The title of biggest flop of the season would be Marry Me.
ReplyDelete1Amazing for The Blacklist. I am so happy Scandal and Blacklist doing great!
ReplyDeleteMulaney?
ReplyDeleteLook at the competition!
ReplyDeleteI think we're basing it on the lead-ins both shows had.
ReplyDeleteMarry Me had a much better lead-in that Mulaney and yet...
We are still 2 months away from the premier. I think the real promos for TM will start around march 1 and intensify after iZombie premiers.
ReplyDeleteI forgot completely about it.
ReplyDeleteSo Happy for the blacklist!!
ReplyDeleteWell Marry Me atleast started somewhat good in first 2 episodes unlike Allegiance
ReplyDeleteIf we don't get top25 markets results, I swear...
ReplyDeleteAllegiance got a huge promotional push
ReplyDeleteSo TVD 0.7 and Reign 0.3?
ReplyDeleteI just hope that maybe Reign still manages to get a 0.4- And TVD deserves better ratings, since last nght's episode was really good.
If Reign managed to maintain the 0.4 even with the huge competition The Blacklist just added to the game, it would be a win.
ReplyDeleteDidn't catch Allegiance last night, but Russia has always fascinated me, so I will probably check it out. I am disappointed it didn't do better. If it doesn't improve somehow, and especially if TBL stays strong, I imagine NBC will sub in Odyssey, no matter what else its plans are.
ReplyDeleteSo much for Scandal hurting The Blacklist lol
ReplyDeleteI like them because I don't care about any Thursday shows. I can watch the battle without caring who wins or loses. It's fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone thought Scandal would impact the Blacklist all that much.
ReplyDeleteYEP! And I think the blacklist is going to come out on top when the L+3 are added.
ReplyDeleteI like it because of the competition.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite shows are on sunday night but I'm glat they aren't really competitors.
In total viewers yes
ReplyDeleteIn demo no (Scandal is doing Better )
What share will this result in for Backstrom?
ReplyDeleteThat certain crazy Molly did
ReplyDeleteThat was exactly my first thought. If either The Slap or Allegiance completely bombs, NBC isn't going to sit around and keep them on schedule. NBC is trying to make a huge push for Thursday. If they want two hours to replace, I'm sure Aquarius could be a quick call up also.
ReplyDeleteShe also thought that the Blacklist would do a 3.5 after the Super Bowl.
ReplyDeletei think it's safe to say that her predictions are nothing more than delusions!
lol she also thought Empirw wouls be in the 2's right now. She's a loopy girl!
ReplyDeleteAnd they would air what after A.D. if Odyssey would be used to pluck holes on Thursday?
ReplyDeletePossibly sub 1s ratings
ReplyDeleteLol I think Marry Me had an even bigger promotional push through the entire summer and fall. NBC only started promoting Allegiance about 6-8 weeks ago
ReplyDeleteYeah, but doubtful. I'd be happy with a 0.3, since Blacklist was after the Superbowl and it was a two-part episode, so it's going to sink a little. And that could mean a small rise for Reign.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the Superbowl gave the Blacklist any kind of reasonable bump.
ReplyDeleteTop 25 Numbers are coming in.
ReplyDeleteThey are currently being added to the spreadsheet. Refresh to see updates
They don't have a great play. NBC made this schedule assuming Thursday would be a success or at least do well enough to not have anything be pulled off schedule. I think that NBC would value Thursdays over Sunday, so they'd just give up the 10 PM hour. Maybe Allegience or the Slap would be relocated there. Perhaps specials. I think that Aquarius would only get the call if two hours on Thursday needs replacing. So it's likely Thursdays or summer.
ReplyDeleteThat's worst than Rake this time last year, although more competition obviously.
ReplyDeleteAllegiance at a 1.1.
ReplyDeleteOuch.
Worse than I thought. That's honestly a flop
ReplyDeleteCan you see Scandal's or The Blacklist's numbers?
ReplyDeleteI thought it could be at least 1.3... that sucks
ReplyDeleteI think NBC will let ride this out unless the Slap is negatively impacting TBL.
ReplyDeleteNot yet, they are probably being input
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of that huge flop Do No Harm.
ReplyDeleteI can see The Slap getting a little more time than Allegiance, if only because it's 8 episodes. But Allegiance looks to be wasting what would be a solid lead in. And if it fixes THursdays at 10:00 this season, it will be either one or two at 10:00 four out of five nights each week. (Assuming The Night Shift holds on to its Voice audience, that is.) That's quite solid.
ReplyDeleteGrey's did a 2.6. Only down a tenth from last week's top 25.
ReplyDeleteYou try to be nice and in return...
ReplyDeleteRemember that NBC often has increased from top25 though. It looks awful but it may be better in finals. But I doubt it avoids the bad label though
ReplyDeleteSo yeah, about pulling Allegiance. That's happening.
ReplyDeleteGA - 2.6/2.7
ReplyDeleteScandal - 3.4
HTGAWM - 2.9
_______________
The Blacklist - 2.8/2.9
Allegiance - 1.6
_______________
TVD - 0.7
Reign - 0.3
_______________
Backstrom - 1.3
I appreciate you for all you've done! you're the best!
ReplyDeleteIf they need to replace Thurs at 10pm, they also have Hannibal they could sub in from April, if necessary. Wouldn't need as much promotion as a new show.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteHannibal had a bigger Thursday 10pm premier than Allegiance!
Scandal 3.7
ReplyDeleteAllegiance pulled for Blacklist repeats.
ReplyDeleteDown three tenths from the premiere. Probably a 3.0
ReplyDeleteIs there a chance Allegiance would somewhat rise?
ReplyDeleteTBL?
ReplyDeleteSomeone tell me the Blacklist's number. I can't see.
ReplyDeleteI'd say 3.2
ReplyDelete2.9 for The Blacklist, best case scenario
And TGIT. I also can only see a few.
ReplyDeletePoor Allegiance, a big part of The Blacklist's fans didn't even give it a chance. Not fair.
ReplyDelete2.6
ReplyDeleteThe Blacklist: 2.6
ReplyDeleteGrey's: 2.6
Scandal: 3.7
HTGAWM: No idea.
Oh, I see it now. A 2.6.
ReplyDeleteThat's around what it did on Mondays.
The Blacklist for 2.6? old skew?
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, Scandal!
ReplyDeleteMurder: 3.1
ReplyDelete3,1 for HTGAWM
ReplyDeleteI hope Allegiance and The Blacklist can rise a little bit in the finals
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I'm assuming it will stay relatively close to that on the finals.
ReplyDeleteI would love it if Hannibal aired after the Blacklist!
ReplyDeleteThe Blacklist has always been old-skewing.
ReplyDeleteSpray us with your ratings magic!
ReplyDeleteI am guessing TBL 2.4-2.5
ReplyDeleteScandal 3.2
Seems accurate.
ReplyDeleteScandal down three tenths. So much for it going up...
ReplyDeleteHush.
ReplyDeleteI knew it.Scandal would beat TB easily.
ReplyDeleteOuch Reign!
Don't you ever get tired? :(
ReplyDeleteYes, but it will most likely still be a loser
ReplyDeleteNobody except Molly thought it would go up
ReplyDeleteIt still did great
More thAn 3x of Revenge
Allegiance did even worse than Parenthood's S6 avg rating, and this one is benefiting from a stronger lead-in.
ReplyDeleteWell, it never does!
ReplyDeleteMolly wasnt the only.one who said it. Andrew did too.
ReplyDeleteStill, it seems Allegiance will have a rating lower than 1.5. It's going to look very ugly, especially since it is a series premiere
ReplyDeleteUnless your name is Grey's Anatomy, no, it doesn't!
ReplyDeletePoor Allegiance.I honestly thought it would premiere with better numbers. The review was good.
ReplyDeleteBlacklist fans watch the show for James Spader
ReplyDeleteGuesses:
ReplyDelete- Grey's Anatomy: 2.40
- Scandal: 3.1-3.2
- How to Get Away with Murder: 2.7-2.8
- The Big Bang Theory: 4.3-4.3
- Mom: 2.7-2.8
- Two and a Half Men: 2.3-2.4
- Elementary: 1.4
- American Idol: 2.3-2.4
- Backstorm: 0.9-1.0
- The Blacklist: 2.4-2.5
- The Vampire Diaries: 0.7-0.8
- Reign: 0.3
Do No Harm: Russia
ReplyDeleteor Undercover Boss or The Voice. Aside from that it pretty much doesn't do any favors. Though it may have raises some awareness about TBL's move, but we can't know for sure
ReplyDeleteAllegiance was never going to work.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your ratings magic!
ReplyDeleteI thought it could be like 2.8-2.9 ish Hope they can get better ratings in the future.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure why it premiered so terribly. I am convinced broadcasters simply cannot try period dramas. Not even one with a Marvel association is working.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I think it's only down from here.
ReplyDeleteBut NBC has to be happy that The Blacklist made a successful transition into Thursdays.
I know it's insane... but I hope with the season close for HTGAWM can actually help Allegiance gains some points.
ReplyDeleteIt could but it won't be enough
ReplyDeleteI think it is very underwhelming. I was fully expecting it to crack that 2.8-2.9 for premiere night. Baring a very impressive hold in following weeks, it should hit league average numbers (1.7 or so) in the Spring. It needed a higher buffer to move forward I feel. But I could be wrong, who knows.
ReplyDeleteNo, Andrew never said anything of the sort. What Andrew said is that the cliffhanger might stop Scandal from dropping as severely as it has in the past when coming out of a premiere.
ReplyDeleteI did admit to a slight possibility of it going up but I was always said it wasn't likely to happen.
I am not overly confident though. Last week there were some significant deviations, particularly with GA. We shall see.
ReplyDeleteI told you that Grey's would hold that top25. But let's see.
ReplyDeleteI'm really going back and forth on Neil Patrick Harris Wednesdays at 8 PM or Thursdays at 8 PM.
ReplyDeleteLong term, it absolutely will likely end up on Thursdays. But I can see NBC worrying about putting it against football which attracts the male audience and Grey's which attracts the female audience. The safer play may be Wednesdays at 8 PM and then NBC can promote three nights of music/variety at 8 PM Monday through Wednesday.
And if that happens, maybe they put SVU Thursdays at 8 PM for the fall as a place holder?
I think NBC will ride out The Slap in the same way they Gracepoint but it will get cancelled in the end-as Allegience through i think it will defintley be getting pulled after 2-3 episodes (Speaking of getting pulled i think Backstorm will heading the same way if things don't improve.)
ReplyDeleteI think it's too soon to call for sub 2s for the blacklist. I would wait a bit
ReplyDeleteThe problem for Allegiance was that there were too many white people in it, and no big stars.
ReplyDeleteNBC seems decided not to pull anything. If they didn't pull the comedies which had the two most obvious replacements in the world (either two hour TBL or Blacklist repeats) and were hurting the 10pm show neither did they pull State of Affairs for the obvious thing which were night shift reruns, I am not sure why they would bother with a 10pm show with no obvious replacement.
ReplyDeleteYeah,probably... I think next week's The Slap premiere also around 1.1-1.2
ReplyDeleteEven cable's period dramas are low rated.
ReplyDeleteDownton Abbey is the exception but it airs on a public network here (PBS), we never got its demos thoguh, it must skew CBS-old.
So, now whenever a show fails is because it is white enough?
ReplyDeletePlease. Let's not bring race into this.
The last episode of TVD was great. One of the best! I hope, for the greater audience, please.
ReplyDeleteOh I never thought it had a chance of not going sub 2s in April. I just thought it would be mostly very high 1s on the veins of 1.9/1.8. But this low premiere number probably means it also goes lower later on.
ReplyDeleteBut maybe it's too soon to call for such a thing, I dunno.
I hope they rise a lot!
ReplyDeleteYeah it's true. Mad Men is probably the most successful ratings wise no? I don't follow cable ratings very much so I am not sure of this. But it's a shame. Masters of Sex is one of the best dramas on television in my opinion and it has a very reduced audience for instance.
ReplyDeleteMad Men may be the only period drama on cable I've seen crack 1.2
ReplyDeleteYeah you did .But it didn't do so in the fall, that's why my predictions keep claiming it will do lower. Even it keeps doing this they will eventually start predicting so but right now they haven't caught up with the change in pattern.
ReplyDeleteI really like this show.
ReplyDeleteMad Men high 0s with some low 1s for premieres puts it as the most successful period drama on cable easily.
ReplyDeleteLearn this: I'm always right.
ReplyDeleteExcept when i'm wrong.
Yeah. And actually I was checking and the blacklist even tends to decrease from top25. So if Allegiance follows suit we can be looking at a sub 1.0 rating! Damn!
