Note: The following labels are based on the household overnights and are subject to change given the availability of other pending data streams. These overnights are your first look at the ratings and a precursor to what could lie ahead. And we take into account other benchmarks including the expected demographic ratings, potential DVR usage, the critical acclaim (or lack of) and the social media presence.

-Winners:
“NCIS” (CBS), “Shark Tank” (ABC), “The Flash” (CW), “NCIS: New Orleans” (CBS), “Chicago Fire” (NBC)

-Losers (excluding repeats):
“Parks and Recreation” (NBC), “Marvel’s Agent Carter” (ABC), “Marry Me” (NBC), “New Girl” (Fox), “About A Boy (NBC), “The Mindy Project” (Fox)

Ratings Breakdown:
It was no contest in the Tuesday household overnights, with the trio of CBS dramas – “NCIS” (#1 for the night: 11.3 rating/18 share), “NCIS: New Orleans” (9.8/15) and “Person of Interest” (5.9/10) – lifting the Eye net to a distant 243 percent advantage over distant No. 2 ABC. But, year-to-year, fading “Person of Interest” declined by 25 percent in the overnights (versus a 7.9/13 on 2/04/14). Retention for “Person of Interest” out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of lead-in “NCIS: New Orleans” (9.7/15) was only 61 percent. And competing “Chicago Fire” on NBC (#2: 4.4/ 8) remains the Tuesday 10 p.m. drama to beat in adults 18-49 and all the key young demographics.

Comparably, “Chicago Fire” built from lead-in “About A Boy” (#3: 1.9/ 3) by a considerable 132 percent in the household overnights.

Earlier in the evening on NBC were two episodes (original and repeat) of the final season of “Parks and Recreation” (8 p.m.: #5, 2.4/ 4; 8:30 p.m. R: #5: 1.4/ 2), followed by hiatus-bound “Marry Me” at a mere 1.7/ 3 (#4) in the 9 p.m. half-hour. As a reminder, NBC sitcom “Undateable” will begin its second season on Tuesday, March 17 at 9 p.m. ET following “The Voice” and into new comedy “One Big Happy” at 9:30 p.m. ET from writer Liz Feldman and executive producer Ellen DeGeneres. And “Parks and Recreation” officially concludes with a one-hour episode on Feb. 24.

Over at ABC, a Tuesday 8 p.m. installment of “Shark Tank” was on the map with a 5.0/ 8, which bested former time period occupant “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” on the year-ago evening (4.2/ 6 on 2/04/14) by 19 percent. But recent entry “Marvel’s Agent Carter” dipped to a series-low 2.9/ 5 from 9-10 p.m. (#2), which was six percent below the 3.1/ 5 one week earlier (which translated into only a 1.3/ 4 among adults 18-49, based on the Live Plus Same Day data). And it led into sophomore drama “Forever” at a third-place 3.3/ 6 at 10 p.m., which was still a considerable 50 percent above failed year-ago drama “Killer Women” (2.2/ 4 on 2/04/14).

Elsewhere, “The Flash” on The CW remains the bona fide real deal at a fourth-place 2.6/ 4 from 8-9 p.m., which built by 62 percent from year-ago occupant “The Originals” (1.6/ 2 on 2/04/14). And it led into veteran “Supernatural,” which dipped to a 1.5/ 2 at 9 p.m. (#5). Fox capped off this first Tuesday in February with demo friendly “MasterChef Junior” (#3: 3.6/ 6 from 8-9 p.m.) into struggling sitcoms “New Girl” (#3: 2.2/ 3) and “The Mindy Project” (#4: 1.7/ 3) from 9-10 p.m. Unless new ABC sitcom “Fresh Off the Boat” ignites ABC next Tuesday, network comedies on the evening have just not resonated in recent years.
