Ratings Breakdown:
ABC topped this final February Thursday care of its combination of veteran “Grey’s Anatomy” (#3: 6.1 rating/10 share), which has brought the network back to life in the Thursday 8 p.m. hour this season, and the two-hour season-finale of the truly successful “How To Get Away With Murder” (#1: 6.5/11 from 9-11 p.m.). Given ABC’s improved performance on Thursday this season, there is no reason to expect the rotation of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder” to change in 2015-16.

In week two news, CBS’ revival of “The Odd Couple” slipped by an expected 12 percent from its debut (8.1/13 on Feb. 19), with a dominant 7.1/11 at 8:30 p.m. Comparably, this was four percent above year-ago occupant “The Millers” (6.8/11 on 2/27//14), and the overnight retention out of lead-in “The Big Bang Theory” (#1 for the night: 10.8/17 at 8 p.m.) was acceptable at 66 percent. One year earlier, retention for “The Millers” out of Sheldon, Leonard and company was 60 percent.

Next on the Eye net was an encore telecast of “The Big Bang Theory” (#2: 5.7/ 9 at 9 p.m.) into relocated sophomore “Mom” at a 5.4/ 8 at 8:30 p.m. (#2). Comparably, this put the overnight retention for “Mom” out of “Big Bang” of an outstanding 95 percent. But, with another encore of “Big Bang” leading off Monday next week, CBS has to be careful of overexposure.

At 10 p.m. on CBS was “The Victoria’s Secret Swim Special” at a lackluster 2.9/ 5 (#2), which slipped by a hefty 46 percent out of “Mom.”

Over at NBC, relocated “The Blacklist” perked up by four percent from one week earlier with a third-place 5.3/ 8 in the household overnights from 9-10 p.m. Comparably, that was more than double the performance of week three of failing drama lead-in “The Slap” (#4: 2.6/ 4 at 8 p.m.). And “The Blacklist” outdelivered year-ago time period occupant “Hollywood Game Night” (2.5/ 4 on 2/27/14) by 112 percent. Of note last week for “The Blacklist” was growth from Live + Same Day to Live + 3 Day ratings of a significant 4.8 million viewers (7.7 to 12.5 million) and 87 percent in adult 18-49 rating (1.72 to 3.21). So, the DVR usage must be factored in here (as it should with any program).

Week three of NBC drama “Allegiance,” meanwhile. increased by one-tenth of household rating point from last week, but a 2.4/ 4 in the 10 p.m. hour (#3) is still a failing overnight performance.

Elsewhere, recent Fox entry “Backstrom” built by eight percent in the overnights week-to-week, but a distant fourth-place 2.7/ 4 from 9-10 p.m. was still 63 percent below the 8:30 p.m. portion of lead-in “American Idol” (6.8/11). Overall, still potent “Idol” scored a second-place 6.6/10 from 8-9 p.m., which was on par from one year earlier.

The CW traveled the repeat route last night with encore telecasts of “The Vampire Diaries” (#5: 0.6/ 1) and “Supernatural” (#5: 0.5/ 1).
