Oscars on ABC Down 12 Percent in the Overnights Year-to-Year
Household
Rating/Share
ABC 20.5/31
CBS 3.2/ 5
NBC 2.1/ 3
Fox 1.3/ 2
-Percent Change from the Year-Ago Oscar Evening – Sunday 3/02/14:
ABC: -11, Fox: -13, CBS: -14, NBC: -19

Note: The following labels are based on the household overnights and are subject to change given the availability of other pending data streams. The overnights are your first look at what to potentially expect when the other results come in. And we always take into account other benchmarks including the expected demographic ratings, potential DVR usage, the critical acclaim (or lack of) and the social media presence. Keep in mind, as always, that results for any live sporting event are always approximate.
-Winners:
“The 87th Annual Academy Awards” (ABC), “Live From the Red Carpet” (ABC)
-Losers (excluding repeats):
Everything outside of ABC was a repeat with the exception of the primetime golf overrun and the “60 Minutes” tribute to Bob Simon on CBS.
———-
Ratings Breakdown:
It was all about ABC, of course, care of “The 87th Annual Academy Awards.” But there was, as expected, year-to-year overnight erosion, which could be the result of the caliber of movies this year. They were not the best. The Oscars averaged an approximate 24.6 rating/39 share in the household overnights from 8:30 p.m.-12:12 a.m. ET, peaking in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour at a 25.6/37. Comparably, this was 12 percent below the 27.9/41 in the overnights for the year-ago Oscars telecast (on Sunday 3/02/14), and that translated into 43.74 million viewers and a 13.1 rating/33 share in adults 18-49, based on the Live Plus Same Day data (which, at the time, was the most-watched “Academy Awards” telecast in 14 years.

Earlier in the evening on ABC was the “Live from the Red Carpet” special at a 9.7/16 at 7 p.m., a 12.0/19 at 7:30 p.m. and a 16.5/26 in the 8 p.m. half-hour. The three half-hours averaged a 12.7/20, which was eight percent below the 13.8/22 on the year-ago Oscars night.
On CBS, a 90-minute edition of granddaddy “60 Minutes” paying tribute to the late Bob Simon was below-average at a 4.3/ 6 from 7:30-9 p.m. The delayed start was a result of an East Coast PGA Golf Tour primetime overrun at a 4.6/ 8 (#2) in the 7 p.m. half-hour. Capping off the night for the Eye net was 2012 theatrical “Act of Valor” at a 2.2/ 3 in the overnights from 9-11 p.m.
Elsewhere, NBC populated this Oscars evening with encore telecasts of “Dateline” (#3: 3.6/ 6 at 7 p.m.), “Chicago Fire” (#4: 1.5/ 2 at 8 p.m.), “Law & Order: SVU” (#3: 1.6/ 2 at 9 p.m.) and “Chicago PD” (#3: 1.8/ 3) from 7-11 p.m. And Fox traveled the repeat route as well courtesy of “Bob’s Burgers” (#4: 1.2/ 2), two episodes of “The Simpsons” (7:30 p.m.: #4: 1.3/ 2; 8 p.m.: #3: 1.7/ 3), “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (#4: 1.2/ 2), “Family Guy” (#4: 1.3/ 2) and another encore telecast of “Bob’s Burgers” (#4: 1.2/ 2).

ReplyDeleteoscars= snooze fest
ReplyDeleteit what was that bad?
ReplyDeleteNPH was pretty disappointing
ReplyDeleteSo I heard.
ReplyDeleteGuess he can't do everything.
ABC really didn't do a lot of promotion, which shocked me but American received the most of it
ReplyDeleteSo while we wait for the analysis or top 25, any guesses what The Voice-induced The Night Shift will do tonight? Blacklist numbers? Or State of Affairs numbers? Last Summer it averaged a 1.4.
ReplyDeleteAnalysis has been posted
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that ABC is restricted from doing a lot of promo during Oscars because of Disney.
ReplyDeleteBetween TBL and SofA
ReplyDeleteI think they did promos for HTGAWM, AOS, OUAT, Modern Family, Fresh off the Boat, Secrets and Lies and American Crime
ReplyDeleteyes but those were during the red carpet special
ReplyDeleteThis is hard because
ReplyDelete1. Its a summer show w/little hype
2, But has a TV lead in, an usually TV does well in the final half-hours
So I am going 2.5
Don't really care about the Oscars since I don't watch a lot of films. Only awards I somewhat care about are the Emmys and Golden Globes. Other TV awards (TCAs and PCAs) or a joke.
ReplyDeleteTCA's are a joke? Why?
ReplyDeletesame I find tv more interesting
ReplyDeleteI am still pissed at ABC for what they promoted. Ugh
ReplyDeleteI think he means Teen Choice Award, not Television Critics
ReplyDeleteTelevison Critics Awards? Who gives a fuck?
ReplyDeleteNo I meant Television Critics Awards.
ReplyDeletereally? I find them pretty good
ReplyDeleteMe too! I swear that besides OUAT that was one of the worst promotions that abc has ever done at the Oscars.
ReplyDeleteBecause they did not promote shows that need promotion e.g. revenge
ReplyDeleteThat OUAT promo was all Kinds of weirs
ReplyDeletekeep in mind that shows like revenge are not top concern (esp if they are ending it). They are trying to create new hit shows
ReplyDeleteThese are the same critics who praise awful shows (Girls anyone?) and give bad reviews to shows like Stalker because the promote stalking and killing women
ReplyDeletepredictions for tonight?
ReplyDeleteThey are not going to waste money promoting a long standing serialized show. They are not going to get many new people to watch.
ReplyDeleteThey have to focus on their newer shows.
They had the need to promote modern family though. Ugh i am just mad
ReplyDeletetrue (girls is way overrated) but Stalker was okay (I didn't understand all the bad reviews)
ReplyDeleteBecause they promoted everything on the Sunday line-up but Revenge.
ReplyDeleteAll the promotion in the world isn't going to save Revenge. It's too far gone.
ReplyDeleteSorry, that's the truth.
Oh, so the only awards that are worthy are those that get a huge fanfare behind it? Nice.
ReplyDeleteyes MF is the #2 comedy on network tv and they have a big eps coming up
ReplyDeleteMy point is they promoted OUAT and S&L after another and they could have shown a little revenge promo. Abc sundays would have been completely promoted
ReplyDeleteNot if its promoted as the final season
ReplyDeleteYeah i guess so
ReplyDeleteOUAT and Sand L will bring in viewers
ReplyDeleteRevenge is not a benefit to the network, its hurting it more than helping it
Exactly, all the bad reviews for Stalker were unwarranted. I actually dropped the show after a few episodes because I had a lot of shows this season, but I do plan on watching it n the summer because the pilot was quite good.
ReplyDeleteI think its because they are both airing back to back
ReplyDeleteIf ABC wanted to call it the final season, they would have at the TCAs when they had the chance.
ReplyDeleteAt least some shows that are always snubbed get some recognition from these awards. The Saturn Awards for sci-fi, fantasy and horror fims/TV are also coming up (nominations will be announced March 3) and it's probably the only chance The 100 has to get an award of some kind.
ReplyDeletethe jokes werent funny tbh and that thing about his results on a box kind of thing was a waste of time tbh.
ReplyDeleteWith better promos and more promotion I think that it could do better, especially with the advantage of the S&L's lead in. Then the whole Sunday line up will be complete.
ReplyDeleteI think that it was unfair, at least they could've just gave Revenge a more fair promo.
ReplyDeleteits not unfair it just business a promo won't help revenge
ReplyDeletecuz they didn't promote revenge
ReplyDeleteMarc has reached a whole new level. Look at his arrogance in the way he declares "The were not the best" as if his opinion is all that matters. Not even a mention that's just according to his point of view of something, just something presented as a fact. Urgh!
ReplyDeletecan't say i am shocked
ReplyDeleteThat was to be expected and it wouldn't have make sense business wise to promote it. And Revenge is one of my favorite shows, I am just speaking from a business POV.
ReplyDeleteWhy would ABC be promoting what's essentially a dead show walking?
ReplyDeleteI like the show a lot for a procedural, it really is too bad it will be cancelled.
ReplyDeleteI 100% agree. people fail to realize tv is a business
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to tell, though Undateable is even harder. I say low 2s.
ReplyDeleteUndatable will be low 2s and settle 1s, but won't go to Marry ME levels
ReplyDeleteCause Maybe with little promotion at the Oscars Revenge will take better advantage of the S&Ls bump and the Sunday line up will be complete.
ReplyDeleteABC has thrown-in the towel at Revenge. ABC is just hoping that S&L does well enough to prop Revenge to numbers where they won't lose money.
ReplyDeleteyou fail to realize that revenge is pretty dead, it hasn't done poor in the rating b/c of lack of promotion but rather S4 writing has been horrible
ReplyDeleteActually its gotten better this season then how it has been for the past couple of seasons. In my opinion I don't think it's that dead, with more promotion and a better lead in I think it could do pretty decently. Your welcome to disagree with me but thats just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Patricia Arquette won an Oscar. Maybe CBS will now mention she is an academy award winner in their CSI: Cyber promos...
ReplyDeleteHow well will The Voice perform? When The Night Shift went after America's Got Talent originals, it was hovering around the 45% to 55% retention mark. I wouldn't expect retention to improve after The Voice with increased competition. I'm also expecting The Night Shift to skew old like it did in the summer.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for such a high profile timeslot, social media has been dead on this show. Literally, no one is talking about it on facebook/twitter etc. Now some shows end up flying beneath the radar, but NBC probably wanted to create some noise with this season premiere and viewers are silent.
So factoring all this, The Voice has to go over a 4.0 for The Night Shift to be firmly in the 2.0's. I'm guessing it falls somewhere between 1.8 and 2.2 for its premiere and then mid 1s through its run. I'll also make a bold prediction, before The Night Shift's run is over, Chicago PD will top it without The Voice lead in (and not with a crossover episode), which unfortunately would be another disappointment for NBC as that shouldn't happen with The Voice lead in.
Revenge kinda jumped the shark when they brought back the character everyone thought was dead for decades.
ReplyDeleteWell, thats the only hope that Revenge has in going up in numbers
ReplyDeleteWow. You changed your prediction on TNS in 180º degrees.
ReplyDeleteDid they mention her GG in the promos?
ReplyDeleteNot sure I understand why you are asking me. That was my point.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get further information, you have to. Trendrr has run awareness on The Night Shift for weeks and no one has cared. I've followed NBC to know when that happens, it's a huge red flag. NBC lives on buzz more than most networks.
ReplyDeleteIt was a rhetorical question.
ReplyDeleteI believe The Voice itself is weakening. Didn't it hit new lows last season? It will of course still be huge numbers for NBC but not like it used to.
ReplyDeleteSome say Christina Aguilera will drive some young-viewers back into the show as opposed to Gwen Stefani, who appealed to an older crowd.
ReplyDeleteif it was good, people wouldn't have dropped it. It use to be a sophisticated soap, now its not. They killed off interesting characters for new dull characters (Louise, Ben, Margo)
ReplyDeleteBetween the Red Carpet (only saw last 30 minutes) and show, I saw ABC promote Once Upon a Time, Secrets & Lies, From-the-Academy-Award-Winning-Director-Of-12-Years-A-Slave: American Crime, and How To Get Away With Murder for dramas. I also saw them promote 75% of their Wednesday comedy block. The Goldbergs' Ferris Bueller episode ith Charlie Sheen, Apple Product Modern Family, and a random dancing promo for Blacklish? Why no love for the Middle? (Don't really care, the show is fine). In unrounded numbers it was #2 comedy on ABC, beating Goldbergs and Blackish by .04 and .08 respectively
ReplyDeleteeven with Christina, TV was still on the decline
ReplyDeleteIts been boring in seasons 2 and 3 because they were stretching out the Revenge plot. Now that they wrapped up the Revenge plot in the season 3 finale, bringing David back in my opinion opens it up to a lot of interesting possibilities.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying that Christina will revitalize the show.
ReplyDeleteI'm just saying what people are saying, lol.
Trendrr?
ReplyDeleteWell the AOS promo was one of the best I've seen from any ABC promo ever so I'm really happy but at the same time pretty pissed that they didn't give a promo for Agent carter but I guess advertising shield beginning is a defacto promotion of ac ending
ReplyDeletePeople started dropping it in the earlier seasons. had the revenge plot itself been wrapped up in season 2 and season 3 was like season 4. Then we would't be seeing that much of a drop in ratings. A lot of people just dropped it so soon.
ReplyDeleteWell, AC is already ending so I don't think them promoting it now really matters.
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't predict Undateable. We don't have enough information to know where its true ratings stand as it never received any sort of a major lead in. I do know that they've casted to try to appeal to females more, so they are trying to appeal more to The Voice's audience. One Big Happy is going to need all the help that it can get from Undateable, so the higher Undateable is, the better off One Big Happy will be.
ReplyDeletemany fans think s4 has been way off track
ReplyDeleteS3 stayed in the 1,4-1,5 revenge
this season has dropped to a ,8
They also promoted AoS's return.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so actually, I'm just saying it will be a bit more topical than when CBS was promoting Academy Award Winning Halle Berry's Extant. (She won her award in 2001, and it was still being used to promote a 2014 show).
ReplyDeleteI think he was better at the Tony's and Emmy's, but I still liked him. He was no Ellen, but better than Seth McFarlane.
ReplyDeleteActually at season 3 started with a 2.3 and kept dropping for the past 5 episodes. season 3: 2.3 to 1.3 season 4: 1.3- 0.8. so if you ask me even though the numbers are terrible in season 4 there was still a bigger drop in season 3.
ReplyDeleteno just her oscar nomination
ReplyDeleteThe Voice is good at jumping back. It was down to low 3's in the 2013 spring season for performance show, and then jumped back to a 5.1 for the fall premiere.
ReplyDeleteI guess people only care abouts Oscars and not GG, then.
ReplyDeleteeither way the drop has been do to quality. Fans didn't return for S4 premiere (it was down from the finale) and fans didn't care for killing Daniel (hence the show went below a 1)
ReplyDeleteFans were just outraged for killing Daniel, which is why thy stopped watching
ReplyDeleteI am optmistic on The Night Shift because NBC is focusing on the soapy and shipping aspects of the show. That's the perfect angle to play for a post Voice show. Chicago Fire works because of the soapiness and shipping on top of the procedural stuff.
ReplyDeleteThere's also only 1 medical melodrama on TV right now. State of Affairs looked like a knock off of Scandal to the young people and a poor man's Madam Secretary to the old folks.
It's a site that tabulated social media impressions on entertainment topics and reports it to various outlets. Basically, every time you tweet, watch a facebook video, etc. those viewers are tabulated by them.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a science. Shows fly under the radar all the time. But with NBC, The Voice has completely dominated trendrr for the last few weeks. There is people actively looking/posting about the show. The Night Shift, practically nothing. For comparison, Constantine's season finale had more awareness than The Night Shift.
Now that doesn't mean I think that it will do Constantine numbers. It's scheduling alone will ensure that it will do much better. However, the promos that NBC created were not effective in making any lasting impression on social media. Which as someone who has watched The Night Shift, I can't say that I'm surprised. The promos were awful this year for this show, way too soapy.
I think it being a S2 show people don't care to jump in.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. I did not know about that site.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
The show is basically a S1 show, though.
ReplyDeleteI guess you're pissed because of Revenge. The ratings are very low, it wouldn't change anything.
ReplyDeleteYep, the cast Bridgit Mendler to appeal to the younger crowd.
ReplyDeleteThe website does look like its down. But they have a facebook/twitter page that reports their findings which are archived.
ReplyDeleteWeren't they purchased by Twitter?
ReplyDeleteYes, in 2013.
ReplyDeleteYes, purchased by twitter and splintered off into Curatorr. But the reports are still under their methodology.
ReplyDeleteCool, thanks.
ReplyDeleteWell, you have to see that Revenge had a lot of buffer to fall in S3.
ReplyDeleteS4 didn't have that because it already began so weak.
Don't mention bringing a character that everyone thought was dead for decades.
ReplyDeleteTalk about bringing back the character that began the Revenge's plot.
They didn't promote The Middle, Castle, Fresh Off the Boat, Scandal, or Gray's Anatomy either from what I hear.
ReplyDeleteI only saw the promos for OUAT and AOS but I really loved both promos. I especially loved the OUAT one though, it's my favourite promo they've done for the show in all seasons. The AOS one looked epic but I expect to be let down...again.
ReplyDeleteor Nashville
ReplyDeleteAnyways I'm hoping that they will put out a better promo for Revenge next week, to draw back some viewers in. At least with a new lead in and a better promo It should garner at least a 1.2.
ReplyDeleteAnd forever, nashville last man standing cristela etx
ReplyDeleteAgreed but i highly doubt
ReplyDeleterevenge will be lucky to get that, it has zero hype
ReplyDeletewith a better leas in it can
ReplyDeleteI'm not quite sure about that 1.2.
ReplyDeleteI think it will just hold and stay at the usual 0.9-1.0s
oscars- 12.1/10.9/10.1/9.6/8.9
ReplyDeletered carpet- 4.6/6.1/8.3
ReplyDeleteif S&Ls premieres at least a 1.8-2.0, why not? Revenge is good at taking advantage of its lead ins.
ReplyDeleteBecause Revenge has lost viewers' interest.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe it's gonna have a push for the first 4 or 5 episodes of Secrets and Lies and then it will come back to hitting high 0s
theres only 7 episodes in the season anyways, so I think if its quality improves it might keep some of those viewers.
ReplyDeleteFull Ratings Posted
ReplyDeleteAnd when ir had hype it Fell in ratings. Revenge's ratings have nth to do with buzz
ReplyDeleteI think Revenges ratings have more to do with the fact, of how good they make the promo and how high its lead in is.
ReplyDeleteWell we shall see on march 9th
ReplyDeleteThe Red Carpet segment is up sharply year to year, but The Oscars itself are somewhat down. Interesting
ReplyDeleteya I guess
ReplyDeleteI am just praying
ReplyDeleteThey could have rolled a little promo for its finale. It's going against The Voice this Tuesday so a little awareness wouldn't hurt
ReplyDelete7? I thought it was going to have 22 episodes as usual.
ReplyDeleteIn the OUAT promo thread I heard that the comedies were promoted
ReplyDeleteYes it will and episode 15 airs on march 8th
ReplyDeleteMe too! Revenges only hope in ever going up in ratings is if S&Ls premieres good, and that Revenge has good enough quality in the second half of the season to keep its viewers.
ReplyDelete23 considering it has the clip episode hybrid coming up, so it has even more
ReplyDeleteI just hope its quality goes up and that sth exciting happens
ReplyDeleteits already aired 14 episodes and has 7 episodes left plus the hybrid clip.
ReplyDeleteI've asked this before and never gotten an answer so I thought I would try again, why is PBS not included in the ratings here? It isn't generally considered a cable network or a premium channel. I ask because the three things I'm watching right now on Sunday night are Walking Dead, Downton Abbey, and Granchester. The last two are on PBS.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that hybrid clip will count against the shows renewal chances
ReplyDeleteWhen will that Clip Show even air?
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't understand is that, while throwing the towel at Revenge with the promotion they refuse to call this the final season. I really can't make sense of it. They could have better chance at grabbing lost viewers if they were told this is the last chunk of episodes, but instead they keep acting like it has a chance, while they don't roll out any promotion for it. It doesn't make any sense
ReplyDeleteOscars sharply down in the demo.
ReplyDeleteThey were boring last night IMO
ReplyDeleteHasn't been confirmed, ABC just said they ordered it
ReplyDeleteHaha. Imagine if it's aired in 5 years.
ReplyDeleteBecause Downton Abbey airs first on ITV and we don't cover any other shows from PBS
ReplyDeleteAt this point the ratings are so low that it wouldn't change much. If the season finale magically gathers a 1.2-1.3 Revenge could have a fighting chance, otherwise it's destiny is already sealed
ReplyDeleteThat would be both cruel and hillarious
ReplyDeleteCastle, The Middle and GA is normal. Scandal is a bit strange but somehow understandable given that it is off this week. But FOTB is a bit strange since it is a new show and one that is actually showing a lot of promise and doing well.
ReplyDeleteIkr, thats the thing that frustrates me the most. If they just see how much Revenge has fallen in ratings to the point where it has gotten sub ones, they might as well could've promoted this as the final season, because clearly thats what most viewers want.
ReplyDeleteThe Simpsons repeat beat its original from last week. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think if S&L's bumps it back up to at least the 1.2-1.3 levels then I think it will have a chance. I guess we will have to see how S&Ls premieres next week.
ReplyDeleteWeird right?
ReplyDeleteMe too! it will have a better chance in keeping the S&Ls bump if it keeps its quality.
ReplyDeleteI expect a few tenths adjustment for the Oscars but we won't find out until tomorrow, unless ABC rushes the finals.
ReplyDeleteIt still baffles me that they didn't, I mean, who are they kidding? Instead of giving the show the chance to resolve everything they are feeding false hope to both fans and writers. And if they truly wanted to rebrand Revenge they should have started promoting it. I don't know what they are thinking
ReplyDeleteThey could have done a TGIT kind of promotion, but with Sunday and kill 3 birds on one shot, but they didn't
ReplyDeleteway down. But no surprises there. NPH was plain in his performance it's the first time i dont like him hosting something.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be interesting to see what it'll do after S&L, after all it did retain 70% of OUAT's 2 hour episode, which is more than what Resurrection ever did during this season.
ReplyDeleteSo if S&L works maybe - just maybe - it will see a bump. That being said, chances are still against it
S4 started off with a 1.3, the 1.5 was registered due to the glitch. And S4 actually held ok for its first 10 episodes, it went from 1.3 to 1.2.
ReplyDeleteThe January episodes were the ones that went sub 1s and that seemingly doom Revenge; I don't expect it to have an amazing surge, but if January was just a fluke due to all the events there, then just maybe there is a chance for a slight comeback. Btw I just say there is a chance, not that it is likely
High 1s, I think. It didn't really beneffited that much from America's Got Talent, but it didn't go sub 1 when it aired on its own, so I think it will fare better than State of Affairs and above NBCs lineup, but I doubt it will post Blacklist's numbers
ReplyDeleteIts viewership is hard to comprehend
ReplyDeleteThe Oscars had it's moments. Meryl Streep cheerleading Patricia Arquette's speech was my favorite. Love her.
ReplyDeleteI think NBC did pretty good with those re-runs up against the show.
For live events, I think it's customary of Nielsen to release the time-zoned ratings which are essentially the same as the finals.
ReplyDeletethe oscars shot themself in the foot this year, not nominating Lego Movie and Selma and the show is way to long
ReplyDeleteCBS will definitely update promo to reflect winner now. They really need Cyber to work because they need more female-lead shows. TGW has next season and provably same for MS, which still got renewed too early.
ReplyDeleteI think this has been an unremarkable year for movies. I don't think Boyhood or Birdman would have been a contender in many Oscar years, it would have just been acknowledged or maybe gotten a nomination as a "cool film" and that's it.
ReplyDeleteI honestly think it might be better to get rid of the entire intro part and just focus on the awards. These nominees (and subsequently, winners) deserve more than 30 seconds to express their gratitude for winning such (in their eyes) an esteemed prize. Let them have their moments and stop cutting them off with music - it's so rude! This is what they have been working towards so let them have their 15 minutes. Rant over.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! If the show runner claims that Revenge is a critical brand for the network then promote it at least. But, don't leave the writers and the viewers hanging by not knowing whether or not it's going to end this season. I truly think that had the show runner announced at the TCAS that Revenge is in it's final season, then maybe it would've had a better chance in getting some of its lost viewers back. Not to mention ABC would've been reassured a successful sunday line up mid season.
ReplyDeleteThanks just wondered why it wasn't included.
ReplyDeleteCan someone remind me the ratings of the Oscars from last year please ?
ReplyDeleteBut the season high is a 1.5.
ReplyDeleteWhich is my point.
The Oscars are always so predictable. With TV award shows it's very unpredictable, I mean I don't think anyone saw Ruth Wilson winning a golden globe for best actress over Viola Davis.
ReplyDeleteI find it funny that you say you don't really care yet you took the time to comment about it. So which is it?
ReplyDeleteThank god. I hope it helps a little.
ReplyDeleteTrue, but if you have a limited number of slots to air promos during the Oscars, you're surely going to prioritize the shows that have the entire second half of the season left over the one that only has one more episode in its season (and I'm an AC fan).
ReplyDeleteI don't understand ABC's refusal to announce this as the final season. Once the show had dipped below 1.0, the writing was on the wall and they should've told the writers to start writing towards an ending. Instead, it looks like the season will end as usual, with potential storylines opened for another year, and then it'll get cancelled. Very annoying, fans who have stuck with this show for so long deserve a proper conclusion.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Stalker, but I'd like to register my confusion that anyone thinks a show is PROMOTING something bad simply because it shows it, seriously? Would the critics saying such things want all the shows on TV to show characters picking daisies or something?
