    Oh come on, Stefan and Caroline were almost too adorable! And we came sooooooo close to a kiss. Like a half a second longer! When was the last time you saw ANY couple act like that on TVD? Pretty much all of them are doom and gloom relationships 99% of the time.

    I liked Kai alot in this ep. I really like what they've done with his character, and he now seems a bit more like Damon.

    I was totally disappointed they didn't bring Bonnie back or at the very least, fully put Jeremy over there with her so they could be together.

    I have never been able to stand Liv, and I hope her breakup with Tyler is permanent.

    Elena and Damon.........I still want her to get her memories back. It bugs me.

    I really don't care much about Caroline and Stefan together. They can be cute together, but I just don't care.

    I liked it. It wasn't as intense as I thought it would be. But I wasn't bored either. But there were things that were extremely unnecessary. Like......

    -Enzo!!! F*ck! Can he be anymore annoying??? (She said in her Chandler Bing voice) He needs to go. I really don't get this crap with him!! And I wish Matt could've just killed him. I was surprised to hear about Kelly though, that was a nice little surprise.

    -I really didn't care about Liv and Tyler, so we'll move on. But I did like Tyler dumping her ass. I was wondering when he was going to do that. I don't even feel bad that he did it after Luke died, b/c what she did...that was pretty damn low. But she's been pushing away Tyler since they started. So shrugs. That's that.

    -Delena- I am SO GLAD! The episode didn't end with them, I would've been seriously upset. And Elena, your speech did not make me feel better about the situation. As a shipper, I'm still mad at you. That's not going away any time soon.

    Steroline- OMG!! TOO CUTE!!! You know that moment when you're watching your couple, and you KNOW nothing is going to happen, but you STILL hold your breath automatically??? Yeah....that was me! To see Stefan Salvatore just joking, and smiling, and laughing, and playing, and even GETTING DRUNK during HAPPY TIMES...is such a breath of fresh air!!! I loveeee the way he looked out for her, and how she took her anger out on him, then he tripped her. Lol But when she TRIED not to break down in his arms, and he just looked at her, then took his hand to graze her cheek. (Touches chest) MY FEELS! I smiled so wide when she secretly blushed. And I'm so happy they found MS. CUDDLES!!! When Caroline accidentally ripped her head off, I was just like Stefan, like oh shit. But then she started laughing, and I felt so much better. Hahaha. I panicked. But she's sewing the bear for Bonnie, it's all good.

    Bonnie- Can we give it up to Kat Graham please??? B/c she totally sold that crying scene. That was really good acting, and I'm glad Bonnie thought of Grams in that moment. And Bonnie is coming home. Ohhh btw...."YA betta check yo self, before ya wreck yo self" HA!!! I felt so old, that was my jam. Bonnie said..."Peace out, 1994"!!

    Kai- THEY RUINED MY BABY!!!! I hate this! I don't like it at all. I mean he couldn't even kill his sister. I mean what is that??? UGH!! I am not pleased with this. I WANT KAI BACK!! Exactly the way he was! He did have some funny lines though, I cracked up when he was trying to describe tears. Ugh. You know what, it pains me to say this, but if TPTB are just gonna turn around and give him a soul, just kill him off, now. Don't drag it out. You ruined him completely, and it only took one episode. It's very disappointing.

    Great work from Kat Graham tonight (she makes the episode worth watching) but Bonnie is still stuck. The way they've dragged this out is a giant truckload of horse sh*t.

    Agreed. Although, over than that, I'd have to say I am a little impressed with everything else... It's a lot more entertaining than season five was for the most part. And I've loved the new, a little more balanced and interesting Elena and the witch twins are great (I hope they're still around as of this episode)... All that COULD be because of the way I watch the show, a few at a time every few weeks (after rewatching the last one to refresh myself) makes the story flow better, but I haven't been feeling as critical of it lately.

    Even though Bonnie...UGH. I hope they make up for this by making her the central character next season with the biggest storylines.

    I was very excited about this episode until the Delena hookup, but we all knew that was coming. All shippers get their pleasure, this is just taking a little bit longer to dissolve than Klaroline. I couldn't help but notice how fast everyone ducked out of Twitter. They all knew they did something they have no reason to be proud of.

    I love what's going on with Kai. I just hope it stays consistent. It looks like he'll be visiting Jo himself instead of sending her a letter. Should be interesting.

    The Nova Scotia twist was interesting. It's not much of a surprise, I guess, since TO just brought on a character who was capable of astral projecting in someone's mind like Silas did. Freya just didn't need to take on other forms. Bonnie got her birthday gift and she's on her way home. It just didn't happen the way people expected it to.

    I loved the Steroline day-drinking, but it really shouldn't have gone any further. Here's hoping Stefan comes to his senses before he loses a friend who needs him.

    The last scene with Tyler dumping Liv was the only good scene I've seen him do in years.

    I honestly hope Matt rallies the troops to do something about Enzo immediately. Enough games, just bring Sarah into the family already. Does Elena know that Damon killed a pregnant woman? From what Liv said, it looks like everyone is still clueless about what Tyler did.

    In spite of my grievances, I agree with you. Overall, season six has been pretty solid for the most part. I just mentioned the other day that if TVD can keep up the quality for the rest of the season then S6 will be better than both S5 & S4.

    I found all the Stefan/Caroline stuff boring and pointless. Why couldn't they work to get Bonnie back? Why is Bonnie only a Delena plot?

    I also was bored by Matt/Enzo/Sarah. I am not liking Enzo at all this season and this episode didn't help. Can someone just kill him?

    This is the first time in a long time that Delena didn't bother me (maybe because it was better than the other plots this week?).

    I'm annoyed Bonnie isn't back yet. I also don't get why she can't just use Esther's talisman - it's in the Salvatore House, that should be a source of magic (it was in Season 3). They're really not making much of an effort to get her back and Caroline & Stefan couldn't care less.



    I'm not sure about this newKai. I knew this was going to happen so they'd keep him around longer instead of killing him off and keeping him as the main villain.


    Remember last year when Tyler chose death (or attempted to get Klaus to kill him) over Caroline and she broke up with him? He of all people should understand Liv's decision instead. I'm annoyed he dumped her over that.

    Steven nailed it. He was so good. I've been saying he hadn't been putting his 100% into his acting latey (rightfully so considering the crap the writers have been serving him), but he was back in this episode. I wish him luck and hope he lands/has already landed the role of Nightwing.

    Kat Graham should have her own series named "The Pancake Diaries: The Life, Times, and Problems of one Bad - @$$ Witch" for selling this performance and enduring this storyline for so long! Chris Woods aka Mala(Kai) is a rising star............mark my words, he's been brilliant (the best) this season! I predict our witch Bonnie will save herself with assistance from...............Grams (Jasmine Guy). Very emotional/excellent episode, but stop playing with our emotions, Jules............BRING BONNIE HOME!

    Such a depressing episode on all accounts-
    1.Bonnie-Definitely the MVP of this episode & rightfully so.Kat graham nailed it,it was so painful to watch her attempting to take her own life.I'm glad she didn't give in & decided to find her way out of that hellhole.
    2.Delena-I'm glad they finally addressed the issue of elena's complete shift of personality change but again last episode they ruined that with an unnecessary hook-up or was it make-up.I've lost interest at this point.However,i loved that damon was the one who found a way out for Bonnie.Bamon forever,delena was so season 4/5.TBH,at this point in the series,i think elena doesn't deserve any of the salvatore brothers.
    3.Kai-Although i loved chris wood's performance this episode,i'm still pissed that the writers are trying their level best to redeem the guy.The only saving grace of this lame & predictable attempt-acting chops of the guy & kai's one-liners.They are absolute gold.I cheered when he said that dialouge-Think of Elena in reverse.I'll always love you for that only.
    4.Liver(LIv-Tyler)-The couple idea was just settling in and tyler again proved for the 100th time he will be the stupidest and worst character of this series,yes,probably more than enzo & that's saying a lot.Dude-You chose the exact same thing you're accusing liv of.You went to avenge your mother's death and chose revenge instead of caroline's love,and now you're lecturing liv how she tried to the wrong thing by avenging her twin brother.GTFOOH.When are we getting rid of this useless character again?!?
    5.Enzo-Sarah-Matt-This storyline is completely unnecessary and pointless.How about some backstory of enzo.BTW,how come enzo only had one scene in this entire season with damon and none with alaric when he's claiming to be his best friend?You have got to be kidding me writers!At this point,i even feel bad for matt whose hunter storyline went nowhere.As for enzo,dude i love you but you need to get off this show.You've worn out your welcome long ago & it's showing every episode.
    6.Steroline-Sweet,cute and genuine.I like it,for now.
    7.Jeremy-I'm so glad he is getting off this show for good.But i'm glad he did get to see bon bon one last time before he went away,he needed that closure.Now,please don't come back,EVER!
    ONE CONFUSION-When jeremy was with bonnie inside the garage-How did he manage to press the button to open the garage door?I thought kai's magic only allowed bodily transportation,nothing more.Even if kai's magic was strong enough to do this,why wasn't jer successful to open the door with the initial attempt?
    Overall average episode,looking forward to seeing liz next episode.Her death will be painful to watch.And we need bonnie here in mystic falls ASAP.

    LOL, Julie is trolling us for sure. Having Kai voice fan complaints about Delena and then having Elena both start to question things and also being moved by how much Damon genuinely seems to care for BonBon... Whomp Whomp. Her speech at the end makes no sense based on her memory loss though JP, so nice try putting the naysayers in their place. But nope.


    It would have been smarter for Elena to say she wanted to forget about the past see what the future will bring. But the TVD's constant need to justify this relationship and prove that it was built on something real and solid is a huge part of why the haters are never gonna get on board. I'm never gonna get on board, but if they stop referencing the past and just move forward, I'll stop complaining about it. At least I'll try... or try to try.


    I will say that I'm VERY HAPPY Bonnie found her strength to not kill herself through her Grams and not her weak ass connection to her friends. That's a win right there. But how much does it suck that an ep that was supposed to be about her, was really only about her in theory.


    Most of what happened with Kai was weak IMO, they didn't even try to make it look like he might have been playing them. And we really only got one moment of him fighting his new side. Not what I was hoping for at all. :(


    As much as I hate Tyler and i really HATE Tyler, I'm starting to wonder if his serious lack of self worth is based on Klaus' parting gift.

    Kat Graham's usual in-season breaks is also a factor as to why her character is still stuck Over There. It makes her storyline move slightly slower before finally coming to a head (which we should be expecting now that it's February sweeps).

    I have mixed feelings to be honest.


    1. KAI - I am NOT LOVING the new Kai. I get that the fan base wanted him to stay longer, but as the EVIL dude, not like this. If Kai is half good then who's the big bad? Umm.. No one... its just stupid. Bring back the old kai or kill him off.


    2. LIV - Please KILL her. NOW. How is she OK with killing ALL her coven members in ONE SHOT, even as she knows Luke is in Kai.. Seriously? Seriously? If he's coming for you, why don't you deal with it as and when. Jo seems to have managed to cloak herself pretty successfully, why don't you try that idiot!


    3. DELENA -- hmmmm.. Im sensing frustration in Damon..don't balme him. Elena questioning her moral compass... why NOW? she's been a vampire for a while and she decides to question her decisions coz a crazy person pointed it out ? Has she been deaf the whole time Caroline harped on about how BAD damon was for her?? I can't even..


    4. BON BON - i thought it was awesome to see Bon Bon again.. and i get why she would want to end it.. its like supernatural limbo, everyone has their breaking point. But I'm glad she got it together. You go get that Qetsiya juice and come back to us Bon Bon. We'll throw you a welcome home booze party.


    5. JEREMY - bye bye


    6. STEROLINE - I loved every bit of it. I loved Caroline's honesty about how she's feeling at the moment. I loved how Stefan wasn't going to just blindly indulge her crazies and instead mocked her, annoyed her and pushed her to get angry, which let her release some steam ! I loved how Stefan LAUGHED AROUND CAROLINE ! I literally had to rewind to process, coz he has never been the laughing type u know. I loved the way he just kept looking at her, his expression was soooo.. loving.... the way his eyes moved from her eyes to her lips... *swoon*


    7. TYLER - oh get off your high horse mister.

    WTF? I thought this would be the episode that they bring Bonnie back! This is getting ridiculous.
    I was almost certain that she would be rescued in the last few minutes but instead we get Enzo and then more Delena. I really dislike the way that the producers treat Bonnie's character, and her fans.


    Kat Graham's acting was terrific. The scenes were truly heartbroken and it was good to see Jeremy do something to help Bonnie. Her friends really are kind of useless so she'll just have to save herself (I still don't get how Damon was able to get that message to her when they couldn't touch anything.....was there something I missed?). when Elena said that Bonnie would want them to celebrate and have a party on her birthday I wanted to scream "No, she'd want you to go find her!!!"


    Enzo is by far the worst character to ever set foot on the Vampire Diaries. The fact that he gets as much screentime as Bonnie is a travesty. Matt really needs to go to Stefan and Damon about Enzo (or slip some vervain in Sara's coffee). I'm really not looking forward to seeing Enzo mess up this girl.


    I'm not much of a shipper, but I have to say that Caroline and Stefan have been adorable in the past few weeks. I loved their scenes together. It would be nice to see them have a relationship (and for that relationship to actually stick.)


    Tyler and Liz. Sigh. Tyler was willing to do anything for Liz, but I don't think he was enough for her. And I don't understand how Liz would have been OK with endangering the lives her coven, by killing Kai. Although wouldn't they only die after her dad died? What if her dad decided to find a new companion and have more twins? He's not that old...he seems willing to do anything to save the coven. I felt bad for Tyler, but I thought he was a bit too harsh on LIz, given that she had just lost her brother and best friend. But he definitely had a point, and when she kept talking about not wanting to go on without Luke, that spoke volumes.


    I like the idea of Kai being torchered by Luke's conscience. Serves him right, LOL. And he was still entertaining, especially when he described the crying! I don't think he was conning them this time.


    But enough of this crap. Bonnie needs to come back.

    The first 9 episodes were bad and boring. TVD improved itself since midseason premiere (6x11) Those three last episodes were great. Too bad Jeremy's leaving the show. But I know, he basically doesn't have a storyline. His last good storyline was the hunter chapter (Season 4)

    9/10! Seriously, a thoroughly entertaining hour of my life. The sheer amount of baiting, trolling and generally effing with the viewers was off the charts. Now I have no idea where any of those plots are headed, and I'm loving it! Well played, show!


    There was nothing I didn't enjoy, even Enzo, Tyler and Liv. Not sure how that happened but it did.

    Yes, correction. Kai should have been the only big bad! I knew that Plec would do anything to keep the actor on her payroll for as long as possible. They could have kept him as a villain, but there isn't much character development you can do with an extreme sociopath especially if they want him to eventually have a bigger role in this series (I guess we should be grateful that he still has his wit!). I think they're thinking far ahead with Kai, meaning that, If they decided to have a spin-off (I'm hoping they don't, though), he would be the only male character on TVD capable of headlining his own spinoff. Also, if Paul or Ian left and the producers weren't ready to end TVD, he would also be the only male character strong enough to replace one of them. But that could never happen he were incapable of forming real ties with people. So I'm not suprised. He had a good run as a villain, though.

    So, if Bonnie goes back to Silas, she could bring back another cure possibly.....
    Everything that existed in that day still exists right, so it stands to reason that it would still be there. I really, really hope we don't have to go down that storyline road again! (pretty please!!) :) lol
    And can I just say what a completely awesome bad guy Kia is? He had me in stitches, and Damon's dumbfounded look was priceless. (I think I could go as far to say he was speechless...which is a rarity! lol) Anyway, that was probably my favourite scene....Kia, Elena and Damon.

    Loved the episode, Kai was fun to watch. I know most of the fans don't want him redeemed but I am glad that he is more than a psychopath. Delana scenes were great, too, I am looking forward to them being happy for a while. What Damon actually did scribble in the Atlas, why is Bonnie going to Nova Scotia ?

    I am still not convinced about the Enzo storyline but I like Enzo, so let see where this goes....

    Thx for the Qestiyah thingy, I missed that. Even if it is Luke in Kai, I think is is an brilliant idea not to change Kai but let him do other things beyond killing for an episode. To me Kai was quite funny, I enjoyed him with Elena and Damon. Nothing lasts forever on this show, so I guess Kai will break through soon enough.

    If Kai's character changed substantially and they spent time developing their relationship (to the point that it made sense), then I would not be opposed to the idea. The problem is that all of Bonnie's relationships have been poorly developed. Maybe it would be different for Kai, because Plec seems to really love his character. The producers have never shipped any of their favorite male characters with Bonnie, so in a strange way, Bonkai would actually mean progress....

    Let's see,, I don't recall Damon having a pen with him,, so how was he able to scribble in the Atlas,,when you are not able to touch anything. Huge what??
    Caro had the best line in the show,, but a little to unbelievable on the emotion. I've seen her do a much better job on acting.
    Is it just me,, or does everyone on the show seem bored and unenthusiastic. So depleted of pleasure that Jer is leaving. First smart thing I have seen any character do so far this Season. So dissapointed. The scenes were stilted and didn't fit smoothly together. More of a chop-shop effect.

    I like the new Kai very much - the way he kept trying to either fight or make sense of those alien emotions yet totally got emotionally manipulated by Damon (and was completely defenseless against it) was hilarious.

    At this point,even alaric has lost all his charm as a character.Where is he BTW for these two episodes?So weird!So,i guess kai would an appropriate choice to headline the show in case one of the male leads drops out after season 7 & the network wants to continue.I don't another spin-off TBH coz Taking the originals out of this show has hurt TVD in so many ways i couldn't have imagined.If kai moves out now,the show will fall flat on it's face.It'll be only about delena & steroline again.I can't accept that,so if that means a semi-redeemed version of him,so be it!

    It was awesome, TVD is killing it since 6x11. Delena finally hook up and Elena comes to terms, yet again, about her feeling for Damon, loved the line: we always find our way back to each other, that´s SO true. Ugh, and why are they pulling the Bonnie storyline that much? Is it because they won´t have anything for her to do in present Mystic Falls? Tyler is so annoying, god. Enzo, he should drop it, though I understand a little why he´s doing it. Matt, I´m glad he had something to do in the episode. Stefan and Caroline, little bit boring, next episode looks better, but I´ll never love them. Alaric, they should figure out what to do with him.

    I couldn't understand the Elena thing at first either, but I think it's because of the memory loss. She doesn't remember her previous choices or conversations with Caroline. But the problem is, she's been like that for a few episodes now, so it's hard to keep track of the 'real' Elena.

    To get to the cure, she would need the hunter´s mark to cast the spell on it to open the tomb and she´d have to wake up Silas to get the cure. She can´t get the cure.

    With Nova Scotia in the mix - i think the cure is also going to be thrown in. So if Elena decides to take the cure and goes back to being human, will she still choose Damon and if not, will she go back to Stefan? If she does go back to Stefan then where does that leave Steroline ? Things can get really complicated if the Writers want it to go there.

    Not in this episode, but in the previous one they mentioned he was looking for some artifact to help Jo? Kinda pointless now.

    Alaric's main contribution to the series was his bromance with Damon. But that worked best when Damon was a psycho dick. Now that they're trying to keep him 'normal', it's not that great.

    I don't think there's anything to be done. The literal romances have long since taken over.

    They needed the hunters mark coz they din't know the location of the cure. The mark was a map. But now they do, so they wouldn't require the Hunters mark. And the cure is where Silas was preserved and if I understand the rules of the 1994 world correctly, OBJECTS that were there in 1994 all exist (like the knife with magic and Ms. Cuddles), but PEOPLE don't. SO by that logic, Silas won't be there but the cure being an object might.......

    I re-watched that scene.You're right.The only explanation here is that damon scribbled that note when he was transported along with jer & elena the first time.Just a moment before bonnie started watching that tape,damon was doing something on the table,writing that note.You can't exactly see his hand but you can clearly see he's doing something.

LOL I got over Beremy ages ago. But i would've been upset if he left w/o seeing her once more. So it was closure. (on both parts i think) He won't be back. If he does it'll probably be close to the series finale. (if it happens in season 7)

I'm being totally serious - the fact that I can often see what the show is trying to the viewers (including me) brings me a lot of amusement and enjoyment. And sometimes it works great - this time I was honestly concerned for Bonnie's life (and liked Steroline?).

    Unless you mean Enzo, Tyler and Liv - in which case too. They were all given twists to their characters that made me see them in new ways.

    Bonnie - Brilliant. Amazing acting by Kat Graham. Also how awesome was the last scene with sunglasses and driving Damon's car?
    Kai - Very Good. NOT a fan of him being redeemable but still pretty enjoyable. Chris Wood is such an amazing actor.
    Damon - Good. He blew off the fire place by throwing a bottle of bourbon down the chimney? I don't even know how he got that idea but it was awesome. Considering the fact that it knocked Liv out. I'm so over her.
    Liv - Bad. I'm over her. Sorta. She used to be my favorite but...she's kinda hard to stomach lately
    Stefan - Good. He did nothing this episode...but damn that funny jerk side of him was nice to watch.
    Steroline - ok. Not interested. Never interested.
    Delena - ok. Two points for mentioning three of my favorite characters in your conversation.
    Jeremy - Awful. I'm a hater. I just can't see the difference between the useful Jeremy and the useless one. Just leave! Soon!

    I've had many wishes when it comes to Steroline, and they've already come true. Now the main one just needs to play out...and it will. I'm very happy. It's actually happening.     I'm surprised you watched it. I hate Jackson. I like Freya (freron? lol) she made a good first impression. Didn't notice the necklace. I ship "jaidan" and yes it's been pretty tough on them right now. Which bothers me, i'd like them to have a moment of peace. Especially after their boyfriend talk. And wow, Josh has shown his teeth a couple times. Then again you did stop watching so yeah. = /

    That's why it was confusing to me. They weren't able to touch anything on their first trip. So I rewatched the scene where he was talking about sources of magic with Elena. Elena asked him how he thought about Nova Scotia, and he answered that he had been planning a trip there while he was trapped in Mystic Falls and he said something like "there's only so much you can take of Mystic Falls on repeat". So basically, while he was trapped with Bonnie, he scribbled some notes on the map while he was planning his little excursion. So all Jeremy needed to do was to open the page to the note.

    This is the only episode ever of TVD that received an "awful" vote from me. Bonnie's scenes were well-acted but it's amazing how it took until this episode for the gang to get back to her (then again, Bonnie should be used to being forgotten).

    And if you want to talk about dragging out a giant truckload of sh!t, let's talk Elena-Damon. I don't care if they are together or not together. Whatever. But can we stop these lengthy filler scenes of those two talking about whether they should be together or not...or if they are together or not...or if they will be together or not...or if they should be...Oh, for f&@*^'s sake! Just be together and shut up! Let's save the real drama for where it belongs: rescuing Bonnie!

    It has been a very long day,, sorry it has taken so long to get back too you. I have been under a stressful deadline for work,, and so close to completion and payment,, I''m biting at the bit. Yes,, food would help,, if I ate some. lol

    You know,, I didn't really care for Bonnie until the expression Magic started happening with her,, then she seemed to matured, quicker then the other 2,, less silly girlish, ..more grounded,,. Probably,, b/c she came from a less wealthy background,, and new the value of a Dollar.
    You can tell,, this b/c she has the backbone, stamina, and fortitude,, which comes with having a good head on her shoulders,, and earning what she has,, without having it handed to her.

    I was actually annoyed at how mean, and selfish Caroline was to take something that was most likely a gift given to Bonnie and was never replaced. I can not see Bonnie doing something like that to anyone. Again the difference in a working background verses the silver platter. I'll pick the working class. Blue Collar!!!!

    Most of these Sl's would flow better and be more believable,, especially shipping,, if everyone wasn't jammed together due to circumstances, instead of exploring a little romance first. This way,, most if not all viewers get behind the characters and show their support.
    I like the Steroline friendship,,and I would hate to have them jammed together b/c her mother Liz (Sheriff Forbes) is deathly ill. That would ruin what could be there due to obligation on Stefan's part. He goes the extra mile in responsibility. :)

    I had difficulty following too until I rewatched certain parts and even then, they don't really spell it out. Damon didn't tell Bonnie about the magic, because he was planning the Nova Scotia trip for fun, not to get the magic. He says it so quickly early in the episode that it's easy to miss. While he was telling Elena and Kai about Nova Scotia, she asked him how he remembered Nova Scotia as a source of magic and he said that he was planning a trip there to "change the scenery a bit because there's only so much you can take of Mystic Falls on repeat" (or something like that). So he must have jotted some notes on the map while he was in the prison realm with Bonnie. That's why he said the note was already written and they just needed to be able to open the atlas. Jeremy wouldn't have been able to physically leave anything there (otherwise, they probably would have left her a real note)

    Was anyone else disappointed by Chris Wood in this episode? The emotional stuff was laughable. I was praising him so much for the cold psycho villain, but that scene with Liv was such a joke.
    Steroline weren't necessary to the plot, neither were Matt/Enzo (sad sad joke of a storyline). Jeremy was useful for once. Elena still trying to make everything about herself, while she is slowly losing to Bonnie, was so funny. Bonnie needs a hug and Kat praise for the great performance. Kat and Trevino need better jobs. They're like the only ones who really got better over the seasons and are still giving a damn.

    One of my favorite moments (that I have on repeat) is when she is sewing up Ms. Cuddles and Stefan hands her a bourbon then hands her another - the look on her face is beyond adorable. She is really trying to coup and I love that he is helping her. Just like he did when she became a vampire for the first time.

    Amazing episode - I am so glad Elena cleared up why she always finds her way back to Damon. I am enjoying how they are falling in love all over again.


    Kai having empathy - interesting - it would have been nice to keep his true villain arc a little longer.


    Tyler - honestly - just go - I just never enjoyed his character - just not a good fit for the show


    Enzo / Matt - this storyline still appears to be a slow build - just got getting my attention yet or shaping into anything interesting.


    Jer. - Saying goodbye and letting go it is about time. Glad they are giving him a proper send off


    Stefan / Caroline - Just loved their scenes together - This relationship is really coming into it's open. I can see where it can be an "epic" love for both of them.


    Sara Salvatore - once again slow build storyline - interesting to see where they take it - but again all around good girl / Samaritan. We will see if she is strong enough to put Enzo in his place

I could not take all the "hate" & "trash talk" on EW - seriously, life is depressing enough (just watch the news on any given night) w/o fans attacking each other over a silly little supernatural TV show because they did not get their way. Hugh turn off for me.


    You mention Bonnie - I loved how they reminded her of what her grams had told her about staying strong and giving her the means to find her way back to the MF. Bonnie has been one very strong female character on this show, good to see her stay true to her character. Can't wait to see her return and give Kai a piece of her mind.

    I just loved Elena's speech. She clarified so many things between the love she has for these 2 brothers. Yes - she loved Stefan, no doubt but she is right, why does she keep finding her way back to Damon? And the answer simple is that she is in love with him. Stefan's love for her was pure but with purity comes disappointment when it becomes flawed. Stefan could not accept Elena when she became a vampire because that purity she once had turned to darkness when Elena had to dig into the deepest parts of herself and accept what she had become and that she might hurt someone to survive and he felt guilty for that, which is why he was hell bent on finding the cure for her so he could fix what he broke. She was ashamed of what she had become and she could not even turn to Stefan because she was afraid of hurting him. Damon was different he loved her either way and showed her how to accept what she had become and she is now thriving. Stefan and Elena have had multiple opportunities to work things out but they continue to remain apart. Stefan found his way back to Caroline (found his way back to their friendship) and Katherine (found his way back to Katherine's true love for him) when he came out of his underwater grave. He tried to make a move with Elena but she basically shut him down & told him she was with Damon. Even as a human Elena let Damon kiss her knowing she still had feelings for Stefan why did she not put an end to Damon's affections as a human? Because I believe her when she says human or not she is clearly choosing Damon. Another missed Opportunity - when both Stefan and Elena knew Damon was dead - why did they not comfort each other in their grief. In Elena's darkest hour when she had hit rock bottom doing drugs to block out the pain, she called Stefan for support and help, he simply just told her to move on. Why did they not find their way back to the pure / epic love in there grief for Damon? Honestly, the show has been all over the place with these relationship but I am glad the way they are unfolding & finally making sense in S6 both for Stefan / Caroline and Damon/Elena.

I am so looking forward to this showdown when she returns to MF. I think Bonnie wins the prize for being able to survive the prison world w/o killing herself. I wonder how long Kai lasted? Which for me, makes her the strongest / bravest character on this show right now.

As for VD, I really enjoyed Liv, and I like Tyler... together, I don't really care one way or another. I enjoy the show most when I don't care about the romantic pairings.

    First let me just say I’m not opposed to love triangles. I am a huge fan of angst, so a well told "we both love the same girl or guy" story is right up my alley. I should also say that I am newer to TVD than most of the people around here so I didn’t experience watching it week to week and waiting through the summer and xmas breaks to find out what happened. I watched a lot of it over a very short window and I think that definitely affects my views on Delena. Elena didn’t transform from the much more sympathetic character she was in season 1 and 2 to the almost unrecognizably singularly focused on Damon person she has become - over 5 years of watching. For me it was a few months.


    It doesn't bother me that she was attracted to Damon. He’s very different than Stefan, dark, mysterious (without being broody), he’s impulsive and passionate and amusing, all attractive traits. She allowed Damon to kiss her because she was acting on that attraction. But being able to overlook all the damage he’s done takes more than attraction. It takes (an insane amount of patience, understanding and forgiveness) love. Stefan played a part in the end of their relationship when he basically pushed her into Damon arms by pulling away from her (which is a whole other thing too lengthy to go into here).


    My question to you is when did it become this true love? When did it go from attraction to this person completes me? How have they(TPTB) shown us that this is about more than great sex and Elena’s guilt about loving that she’s a vampire? They keep telling me that this love is everything. But I haven’t seen it. A kiss in the rain? A montage of sex and laughs? Where are the moments that I’m supposed to hold as evidence that this is the OTP. And I’m not being facetious, I’m seriously asking. Help me see what you’re seeing.


    If you had to pick one or two scenes that prove this pairing what would they be?

    I can agree with this to some extent, not the hurting part though. This is where I think TPTB, made a huge mistake with their love triangle and turned a lot people vehemently against Delena who might have otherwise been able to accept it.


    They didn't resolve the Stefan/Elena vampire drama. Elena wasn't ashamed that she had become a vampire, she was ashamed that she liked it. She didn't believe that Stefan would want her if she wasn't human, and instead of trying to find out, she jumped ship to someone who would embrace her "dark" side. I think there is a story there, that could have been both emotional and interesting, about Stefan getting over his self loathing and Elena contemplating the finality of her change and what it will mean long term (ie. what it means to be a vampire forever, not just the awesome perks it affords you now), but JP instead played to the idea of this great passion between Elena and Damon and cut ties to Stefan in an awkward speech about her thinking he was a terrible vampire.


    Speaking of which, that scene in particular, forever changed my view of Elena. Her conversation with Stefan was so tacky, hurtful and awful. I don't ship Delena because I don't understand it, but I don't ship Stelena either because they made me hate her character.

Personally, I always ignore the triangle stuff on this show because there is so much bullshittery about the way they went about it that if I cared enough about the characters I may go into long winded rants about character destruction, horrible resolution to the triangle etc. etc. Thankfully, I don't.

    There are some great posters here, A Mirage of ideas and exchanges.

    I don't think they are giving Bon-Bon- enough lee-way to use her own brains. I was not into her speech at all. Bonnie's character is way stronger then that,, and the speech was so unbelievable. But I loved her eye makeup. Deff not applied by the make-up dept. Looks like her work. :))
    I love her and Kai's interaction's so much more then her and my Damon's,, even though they do work well together. Still,, time and the horrible script/SL writing will tell.
    I know that isn't what you problem expected me to say,, but I disliked this ep. If it wasn't for Kai,, the fight scene with Liv,, and Tyler dumping her,, I thought it was awful. I didn't watch last weeks either.

    I have too much work on my plate to really enjoy anything right now. Let's see what happens for the Valentines Ep next week. Any Ideas??:)

    Elena unrecognizable how so? - Yes, she was no longer a human - that would make a huge difference in a person's life especially someone like Elena who had so much compassionate and becoming this creature who's nature was to feed on humans would have a profound impact on her personality. Take a look at Stefan - he was very similar to Elena. When Stefan transitioned he completely went off the deep end - feeling so guilty he just turned off his humanity because he could not take the pain and he did a lot of damage during that time. If it was not for Damon showing Elena how to survive chances are she would have experienced the same fate. So yes, it should not come as a shock that Elena changed when she became a vampire - hell she almost killed Matt - something Human Elena would have never done - Good thing Damon was their to stop her. With regards to Elena overlooking bad behavior - she has done this for both brothers. Both have equally done bad things - hell Stefan killed a village of migrant women and children - you can't get much worse then that. So Yes, both brothers are damaged and it has been made crystal clear that Elena has forgiven both of them equally.


    The "true" love part I believe most fans will agree we never got to see. It occurred the summer before Elena went off to college. The only truth to that effect is when Bonnie confirmed she got to see Elena have the summer of her life and be truly in Love & Happy. So yes, we have not seen Delena epic love progress to this point (however if the Rain Kiss is any indication then Yes it proves they were truly in love) - hopefully we will get confirmation to this effect in flashbacks. As a fan of Damon & Elena's relationship yes, I felt cheated. But, it must have been profound for Elena - w/o memories of their time together still be able to find her way back to Damon. I am going on blind faith that Damon must have had a huge impact in her life for to go off the deep end when he died, turn to drugs and w/o memories knowing nothing but bad things still find her way back to him.

    Now I know why Damon was so melancholy in this episode, because he knows it is only a matter of time before Bonnie returns to MF with the cure. When him and Elena went back to 1994 and got into the fight where Elena told him "damon always gets what damon wants" speech he took it to heart and left Bonnie the location in the Atlas to Nova Scotia the location of Silas headstone which would give her enough power to get home but the location of the cure. He knows Bonnie loves Elena and would give anything to return her to her human state. Damon only wants what is best for Elena and giving her the life that she always dreamed of having and possible returning back to Stefan is exactly what he planned to do IF THAT does not prove how much he loves this women I don't know what else he can do to redeem himself.

    I am looking forward to learning more about the Salvatore boys when they were young little hillions - in fact there are a few posters on this site that are just incredible writers - who have incredible insightful into their lineage - I think we are going to learn a lot about our favorite vamp boys here shortly. So I would make it a point to stop back by during those episodes in particular.

    well this is TVD - I am sure they are going to come up with a way for Bonnie to bring back the cure - only to throw 1 more roadblock in Delena's way - this is probably why Damon was so melancholy - I think he believes Bonnie will return with the cure. The headstone (which she did not have last time she was at the cave because Katherine had taken it) might give her enough power to get into Silas tomb - Kill him again because he killed her father and take the cure.

    But didn't she learn the spell in the cave with Jer - so she does not need the hunters mark anymore? Just like she learned the spell to send Damon home. And to be perfectly honest they need to address this Human vs Vampire Elena being in love with Damon once and for all - I believe to my core it does not matter. But any doubt finally needs to be put to rest if Delena ever has a chance of officially and completly being happy

    Damon not killing Kai - I think it was a split second call - Damon did not know if Jer. was successful in saving Bonnie so he kept Kai alive just in case they still needed him to help Bonnie.


    Yes - I believe the tombstone was at the island in 1994 which was prior to Shane taking it - I may need to go back and brush up on some old videos to get the Story line straight.

    Thanks for the feedback - Yes I don't think you are going to get any disagreement that fans on both sides believe the transition from Stefan to Damon could have been handled much better. The show often times is short on explaining things - take the entire summer when Damon & Elena were in love before she went off to college - huge hole in their relationship we have yet to see. We just have to go on blind faith that it happened.


    I would love for them to explain why Stefan rejected Elena when she turned & what Elena truly felt in those initial days dealing with the darkest parts of herself - I would not say she like it at all - I think it terrified her to the point where she almost became suicidal - remember when she told Damon that she was only holding it together because of Jeremy - why not also because of Stefan?? I will say the show was leading us to the great passion scene by Damon & Elena but agree it still could have been handled better.


    Not sure I understand which tacky / hurtful & awful scene with Stefan and Elena you are referencing? Is this the break-up scene on the porch?

    Hahahaha that's funny. So have you had your fill of her yet? Well luckily for you, Liv is still around. (Personally I loved Luke more). Now that she's broken up with Tyler and on a Suicide mission to kill her bother, I wonder what her role will be? She'll probably convince her father to merge with him. That'd be interesting. Guess we'll see soon enough.

    Damnit, I like Jo. I can only hope she will continue hiding in the background and thus survive. As for Delena, I have absolutely zero idea what the show is going to do with that. At this point, anything seems possible. But I thought Somerhalder hasn't signed up for season 7?

    Ya,since they renewed the show as early as jan unlike last 2 years which was in feb 13 and 11 respectively-we can safely assume that the contract negotiation of the main trio went through.Whether he or nina will continue beyond season 7,that's up in the air.But since the network and julie-both are willing to continue the franchise even without the main trio,it won't matter in the long run anyway.Either way,wedding possibility is strong coz nina & ian might move on after season 7,so it will give the delena fans the closure they need on their fav couple.

    I was thinking that he might have added the notes to the Atlas when him and Elena had Live send them back to get Bonnie. Bonnie was cutting it close and I think he was concerned she would not make it back in time so he added the notes in the Atlas so she would have the magic to get out. One additional thought I had, I believe after his fight with Elena in 1994 he wanted to prove he truly cared for her so he would send Bonnie to the place where the cure was believing Bonnie would bring it back. This way he can prove to Elena once and for all that he is willing to sacrifice everything for her happiness - proving Damon does not always get what Damon wants and that he had truly changed.

    When Damon and Elena were waiting for Bonnie, I had the feeling that they were certain she would make it. Otherwise they probably (hopefully) would have used their vamp speed to meet her half-way. Damon also told Elena that he had been planning the Nova Scotia trip while he was stuck in 1994, although he could have been lying However,Damon planning a Nova Scotia trip n order to get the vampire cure for Elena definitely seems like a possiblity (I hadn't even thought of that until you mentioned it). It would certainly make more sense than the I-was-bored-and-needed a change of scenery excuse he gave need-for-a-change-of-scenery reason he gave Elena.

    I thought she was only channeling the magic (ie: power) within the hunters mark. She will now have the headstone for magic / power - No? But, I guess even if she did have the headstone, could she be risking the amount of power it will give her to get back if she uses it to get the cure?
