Holy wow. This was one heck of a finale! So many twists and turns. I know this series had its ups and downs but the finale proves to me that State of Affairs definitely deserves a second season. There are so many series where the freshman season was subpar and then went on to succeed thereafter. Not every series will be a blockbuster right off the bat and this show definitely falls into that category. NBC has a ridiculous reputation for taking the first impression (first season) of a season as the litmus test and just giving up.
I feel that a big part of the issue boiled down to ratings and I truly feel it was a product of preconceived notions regarding Katherine Heigl. Understandably she's said some idiot things in the past but who hasn't? I loved her on Grey's, but her portrayal of Charlie Tucker proved she has versatility and depth. Please NBC, give it another season!
Who was that guy in the jeep waving her down? Syd? Nick? How is Gentry (KRG) able to get away with blackmailing POTUS? I hope that show makes a second season...PLEASE NBC...
What were you thinking to end a series like this with no indication of it being renewed. We need a second season to find out how Gantry works in POTUS' office versus CIA -- whether it is Nick alive or possibly CYD -- don't think it is Aaron. Katherine Heigle is a phenomenal actress as is the rest of hte cast. The transitions in this end storyline game were too fast and had a lot of wide holes. Need another season.
Just watched the finale. That was a cliffhanger done right.
I wish the POTUS wasn't so easily influenced by others. My one compliant was we really didn't see how that bombing at the mall really impacted America. It was pretty much glossed over due to time.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
damn it what the hell happen in the end and with the show guarantee gone it not fair!

ReplyDeleteBetty, that cliffhanger is the only thing giving me hope that NBC will give it a second chance. Too many holes for a "series finale."
