Great episode this week. Tony Goldwyn and Kerry Washington are knocking it out of the park. Their acting was amazing this episode. So many emotions Fitz was going through and Olivia, played Ian like a fiddle. Andrew got his coming for messing with Olivia. Nice save Mellie. Notice how Mellie slept with Andrew to get his phone. Olivia did the same last season.
What I loved most about Fitz flashback, none of them was sexual in nature. Fitz thought back to when Olitz fell in love...The One minute...holding hands on the bus....The Constitution...Olitz is EVERYTHING on Scandal! Also...Last week Olivia had the Vermont dream...this week...Fitz flashback to their past. For those who think olake can compete with Olitz, they need their head checked.
It´s not just about going to war over his mistress - as I read somewhere, it´s not the president who decides if the country goes to war, it has to be voted, and that takes time! Is it me or the timeline is totally messed up in this storyline? I´m finding this so unrealistic and absurd that I can´t keep my focus, so for me there is nothing awesome, it´s just bad, sorry...
I don't like Fitz... never have.... and this episode pretty much every bad thought I'd had about the character... horrid. But Mellie & Olivia were awesome.... they both need to realise Fitz isn't worth the time of day!
Yeah... I realise the majority seem to like him (baffles me but then, a lot of people watch Jane the Virgin too ;P ) but I'm certainly not alone in dislike of him from past comments.
They used a similar method to achieve different things. That's where the similarity ends. The people affected and the intended outcome are entirely different, so I don't get the comparison. That's like saying that a soldier killing an enemy during a time of war is the same as someone murdering a loved one. I love Olivia, and she will always be my favorite character on the show. However, I refuse to use what Mellie did (in order to save Olivia) as a justification for what Olivia did last season. It's actually one of the rare times that I was disappointed in something that Olivia did. I don't always agree with what Mellie does, but her actions were definitely justified in this case and Andrew most definitely had it coming!
The people who damned Fitz because he chose to go to war would have damned Fitz for not choosing Olivia if he decided not to. They just hate Fitz and any action he does they will twist to conform to their hatred. He can't win no matter what he does. But hey the majority of the fans love him and so does the writers and really that's all that matters. Haters hate on...
Amazing episode. Tony Goldwin was amazing, he should get some recognition. His pain was palpable. Melly was great helping out. But damn them getting there too late.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Wow the twist and turns !
ReplyDeleteMama Pope is back
Scandal is back to its old form. PRAISE THE GOOD LORD AND OLIVIA'S LAID HAIR. YAAAAS.
ReplyDeleteLove Fitz!! Love the Olitz flashback! Olivia saving herself...Yes!! Great episode.

ReplyDeleteIt is your right to hate or dislike Fitz. But you are in the minority...just know that. Fitz was at his best in this episode. Olitz ROCK!
ReplyDeleteThe show works best when Olivia and Fitz take lead and charge. Kerry and Tony always bring it! Scandal is hitting on all cylinders right now.
ReplyDeleteI don't hate Fitz, but you're right sometimes they shuld realize that...

ReplyDeleteGreat episode. I loved watching everyone work together in order to save Olivia. Huck still gives me the creeps, though.
