So many fans called Stephen returning. That was nice but I hoped he would stay. Liv is really ungrateful and selfish. No thank you. She's truly her parents child. Fitz should dump both Mellie and Liv and get with Abby. At least she's loyal and red hot. lol
Nope she's right fitz is pathetic, when the moment came for him to prove himself as the president she wanted him to be he went a started a freaking war
Whatever. I love this show but this storyline was dragged out and that's how it ended. Stephen coming back was a gimmick, not believable at all. At least Papa Pope told the truth that Jake isn't a professional. Hopefully it gets better from here now that this is over.
It was a good episode, but honestly mostly because of Olivia's anger at Fita and Fitz being stunned by her reaction. As much as I loved seeing Stephen it was too much of a gimmicky deus ex machina. I have to believe there would have been much better ways to end this or even give Henry Ian Cusick a cameo.
Too bad we knew it was Stephen months ago thanks to cast spoiling the S1 'nod.' Papa please keep fishing so we don't have to endure another scene chewing monologue. Major thumbs up on Olivia ripping Fitz. Everyone else even Abby understood country before individual. This arc would've worked so much better when KW was pregnant and to finish S3. Hopefully this will reboot series back to OPA cases.
Just when I thought Scandal couldn't surprise me anymore they pull Stephen freakin' Finch on me...WOW! 3 years in the making. And it's all Abby's doing. Gosh do I love her character. I am so proud of her & how for she's come. It's a shame he wouldn't come back to D.C. with Liv. Basically I love everyone right now, besides Fitz...and Jake has gone really bland tbh. Liv should stay alone. And OMG that closing scene - seriously this was one of the best scenes Kerry Washington has ever done on this show. It's giving me so much life right now, I'm literally shaking. I was kinda surprised that Elizabeth stayed to watch Huck paralyze Andrew xD That was cool. Second best scene probably goes to Jeff Perry for his 'I quit' fantasy, WHOA. Was that freakin' amazing. One of the best episodes this year, if not the best. Bring on the good ole Scandal and the reunion of the gladiators! Hopefully there will be more Abby & Liv moments coming soon. And what was up with that scene when Liv was questioned? Was that just trauma?
But that monologue was sooo relatable. Seriously, people are SO monotonous these days. Hell, probably even in D.C. - politicians are probably even more predictable xD
It seems weird to see liv thank stephen. That's all lovely. How bout a scene with Abby?????? She's the hero. Not Fitz. Not jake. Not papa pope (thankfully)! Yes liv helped herself a ton too but it's abby that worked the plan. I'm ready for a new ep.
OMG...DESMOND came back !!!...we havent seen him since Season 1...i LOVE when my Losties come back to TV...I Love My Desmond... bring him back with PENNY, lol...☺...
Yeah he'll still be pathetic to you if allowed Olivia to die. So spare me the Fitz derangement bull. LOL! Either way you would hate him. I know how the mindless get down.
Yes, only TV Olivia and Fitz creates the most drama for Scandal and this is why Shonda Rhimes will end them. Sorry haters. But don't think for one minute this means Olitz is over. I agree, the chemistry and the greatness of Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn in emotional scenes is why the writers keep putting them through the ringer. I could watch them act together all day. They are amazing. And the sexually chemistry is out of this world.
Yawn, pretty much everybody on tumblr and twitter predicted this dude. LOL! When the cast said Season one fans original OG's will be shocked...that could only mean Stephen. Fans been predicting this show for years.
I know right... even in that moment he's full of himself... and only cares about himself.. or the republic as he'd say it.. going on about equations or variables..or whatever the hell he was yacking on about ... I was yelling at the tv.. saying oh just shut the fuck up you wacked out crazy fool...... your daughter is missing.. and mamma Pope was no better... its like pulling teeth to get them to do anything to step up and help their child that's in danger
After last week's episode was such a bore, this week stepped up real time. The twist at who purchased Olivia was SHOCKING!!!!! I didn't believe it could be Stephen but it makes sense!!
I hope we have not seen the last of Elizabeth North and Papa Pope!!!
Not the episode of the season but certainly the best since the midseason finale.
This storyline has been super entertaining - ridiculous, absolutely, but so entertaining. I'm glad it's over, but I wasn't craving for it to end like some.
The thing about the whole plot is that if a country is willing to pay 2 billion dollars to get Olivia, they can very easily snatch her off the Washington streets/from her home/from OPA offices for relatively nothing. Like... seriously.
But I guess I'll overlook that. Loved Olivia tearing down Fitz, and yay for the Stephen return!
Really good episode. Glad the whole kidnapping thing is over, although sometimes it was cool. After Olivia left the prison (or whatever that is), they did something to her hair nad in every scene she's stunning. Also loved the scene between Mellie and Lizzie walking by each other, while Andrew is in hospital, and of course, the final scene between Fitz and Liv.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Amazing. !!
ReplyDeleteDidnt expect that

ReplyDeleteI knew Stephen was coming!! Good ep. Papa Pope ughhhhhhhhh

ReplyDeleteIn reality fitz and Olivia are terrible but in the scheme of TV they make for the most intense scenes. These two actors are why I watch.

ReplyDeleteI'm always up to a Henry Ian Cusick cameo.

Please don't bring back Stephen! Just something about that character I don't like

He is on the 100 so he will not be on scandal regurlarly
