Ohhhhh, poor Mary. Her husband the king ,is objecting to her lusting after Conde. Sorry Francis, but your queen has turned into an emotional adulterous, spoiled girl.
This is bs. The whole thinG! How do I get the writers attention??? Queen Mary lived a miserable life. King Francis also died to young. We know the facts write them the happy ending they didn't get in real life. Come on forget the Conde plot line. GIVe Mary and Francis happily ever after! PLEASE!
im honestly very torn with the episode because i feel like this one was way better than the rest we've seen since the midseason finale, but i cant help but feel frustrated with the Mary/Francis/Conde plot right now, especially Mary. I understand that the writers want to show the after effects of Mary's rape because it is such a terrible thing to happen to someone, BUT at the same time i am a fan of this show and Frary, but i feel like Mary is just hanging what happened to her over Francis' head even though he is trying so hard and who knows how long its been (in the show) since the attack; she is just making me so ANGRY! im just so torn right now and i just cant take it!!!!! This half of the season actually reminds me of how i felt with Season 2 of Beauty and the Beast where fans waited and waited for a LONG time for Cat and Vincent to get back together, i endured that season, but i dont know if i can endure the rest of this season of Reign. its TOO painful. ;( i just hope that Francis and Mary find out the truth about Antoine poisoning Henry SOON cuz i need some more intense action between the families to help distract me from whats going on with Mary because she is starting to annoy me. Next weeks ep looks INTENSE! can't WAIT!
Why are you people so heartless, i mean does any of you now what Mary went trough. This is not something that can be easily forgotten and forgiven. Yes part of her blames Francis for good reason! I like Mary and Francis but, right now she is hurt (yes still, because this isn't just something that after 2 or 3 months you can forget and stop being afraid) This is a show, but try to at least think a little.
i do understand, but i cant help but feel a little bit frustrated that Francis and Mary's marriage is having so much problems right now because i love the show so much. I know it will all work out in the end, it just hurts to have to wait so long for things to get better between them.
Exactly! As someone who has been raped, you don't just get over it. It's the kind of thing that utterly destroys a person and the person's relationships. If she would've just been affected by it for an episode or 2 then went back to being normal, that wouldn't have been realistic at all. Also I don't blame her for being upset with Francis since it was his actions that at least in some part led to the rape.
Don't you understand that Mary and Francis won't be happy together anytime soon? Why? Because Francis is connected to the attack on Mary and when she lokks at him, he reminds her of that terrifying night. And Conde is the one who was there for her, who help her get through this. Mary trust him. She touched him, she held his hand - and at the same time she couldn't be close to francis, because it was too much. Francis was too much. Mary can find relief only with Conde.
CAN'T YOU JUST FEEL THE LOVE, THE TENSION, THESE FEELING BETWEEN MARY AND CODE? It isn't in my head. IT'S REAL.
What if Mary is actually playing with Condè's feelings in order to get closer to him and discover what he and his brother are hiding?Maybe we will get a flashback in which we will finally see Mary eavesdrop a conversation between the brothers or see a suspect behaviour,I don't know, something that forces Mary to make Condè believe that she has feeling for him too just to test him and see if,in the end,he's a friend or foe like his brother! Surely I'm deluding myself with this crazy theory hahah...It's just I can't really believe that Mary is falling in love with him so fast and under her husband's watch. It seems so weird and inconsistent from her... :(
Greer's storyline >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Conde/Mary/Francis BS is getting on my nerves. Mary is getting Francis away from her and her actions lead Conde. I knew Antoine was the one to do it. Narcisse is the same as always. he will never change.
Historical fiction does not necessarily mean major retconning for lead characters such as Francis and Mary. Francis will still die more than a year into his reign while Mary will still get through a couple of husbands before she could finally bore an heir that will eventually become king of both England and Scotland.
Francis will still die knowing the love he shared with Mary is true and he will die peacefully with her at his side.
I'm aware of the facts. I do not watch this show for historical purposes.I watch it for entertainment and want to see them forget what really happened and wow them a happy ending
Only thing I'm curious about is if reign will continue to season 3. Technically speaking, Francis did only rule as king for 1 year, 1559-1560. Maybe interesting historical people to base a show on, but again, technically speaking, since season 2 started with Francis as king, this show should be over by the end of season 2. He ruled for 17 months, so maybe they can squeeze a 3rd season, max.
Great episode. It was slower but I liked it and there were a lot of developments in many areas. I like Conde and it is also great to see Narcise still plotting. Francis really was naive in letting him go around like that instead of having him arrested at the very least. Also, I loved Greer's storyline, which was a surprise to me! I found myself really anticipating her scenes. It makes me think that it is a shame that Reign doesn't venture more into exploring the world at the time and all that. I would like to see them shaking it up more, there is so much potential to explore other than French court (Which granted is awesome but there is more)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Conde's admission of how Mary effects him --- swoon!
