Great episode. I had a feeling Vega was going to die. I've grown to like her as a character. Jane's decision at the end made sense and has been building up for a while. I think being in a romantic relationship with Lisbon made Jane vulnerable in some good ways and some not-so-good ways. It's heightened his fear of losing someone close to him and going through that pain again which nearly destroyed him last time.
I would like to say, "it was awesome episode" and it is but I can't. Why did she had to die, I don't see the point beside making some shocks for us before show ends. And thats just wrong to me. Character was really enjoyable to watch. And whole episode was about that death now, for no reason to me. Jane's leaving is probably something like a few days to think about what happened and what to do. Next episode is last one before 2 hour finale. Just my opinion.
I didn't vote awful but gave a low score because I feel her death is a ploy in the PJ\TL story and could be accomplished otherwise. I don't like sad endings!
I really liked Vega, and voted "great", but I can totally understand why some of her fans would find it awful even if the show was filmed very well. The fact that her death is also being used as a plot device for Jane/Lisbon angst might also not sit well with some of her fans.
i understand why they killed Vega. Don't accept it, but I truly understand. Since the first time she showed up on screen I had a feeling that something really bad would happen to her, that she would be used to trigger something in J/L's relationship... Great character, great development, great acting by Josie Loren, she made me fall in love with Michelle. I'm sad, but it was a great well written well directed episode, and the actors did an amazing job portraying all the sadness the characters were feeling. Great episode. But it made me really sad. I'll probably carry a little bit of that sadness with me for the entire week. What makes me feel better is that i'm sure that all the other characters will have a happy ending.
Have to admit I never really cared for Vega so until the final scene with Lisbon and Jane I wasn't really all that upset. Jane is being really selfish but I can understand why. I really want a happy ending for him.
This episode was awesome! I don't think you have to agree with whether they should have killed off a character, to see that this had some of the best acting, direction and emotional scenes in the season.
True...very true. The show did have a big impact. The acting was amazing, not just PJ and TL as usual but all the supporting regulars were amazing too. I wasn't happy to see them take away such a great character, and use it as part of the PJ development arc, but you have to give the cast and writers/directors credit for an amazing episode!
Please stop voting awful unless you REALLY don't like the actors, characters or dialog and thought it was pitiful with NO plot and NO emotion and completely the WORST thing you've ever seen! YES it was sad that she died, and YES it was sad that Jane left... But how does that make the acting and everything else in that episode "AWFUL"? Sorry, I'll stop now...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI would say heartbreaking...
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how TM writers make me admire and hate them at one the same time. Great job, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that J&L leave the FBI and work in Rigsby's& VanPelt's firm instead.Since they were already confirmed as guest stars in the final episode
ReplyDeleteKilling Vega was the stupidest decision ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! And i vote Awful.
ReplyDeleteThey would have been cute together

ReplyDeleteI loved that episode...the ending broke my heart...well acted simon baker ;)
ReplyDeleteEvery character is introduced to serve for the main character(patrick Jane), not only Vega:) this's why the role existed and I think they did well:)
