THIS SHOW IS AMAZING! I can't believe its over :( A nice ending to everything. Dottie lives! I hope she continues to be a thorn in Peggy's side if we get a next season. Black Widows are hard to kill. This NEEDS to be renewed (I will also except a spinoff were Jarvis and Peggy go on adventures together and shenanigans ensue)
This show is amazing love the scene on the bridge It's so cute Sousa asking Peggy out I think he going to be her husband but I want to see Peggy and Angie love the friendship between Peggy and Jarvis Dottie lives please ABC renew this show
There is so much potential for the future of the show - I hope ABC sees it. When you have stars like these you have gold. Atwell and D'Arcy could not be any better. That was a stunning fight between Dottie and Peggy. And so much heart in the last few scenes. I love spending the hour back in 1946 with these actors. Thank you for a superb 8 hours.
That was a PERFECT way to close out the first season of this brilliant show.
Peggy, Jarvis, and the SSR all teaming up to save Howard and take down Fenhoff and Dottie was so great to watch. I was jumping out of my seat when Sousa tricked all of us into thinking he was under Fenhoff's control when in fact he was using ear plugs so he couldn't hear what the doctor was saying and then he knocked him out! Brilliant! Freaking brilliant. And how badass was that battle between Peggy and Dottie?! I was anxiously awaiting this epic showdown and it did not disappoint at all! When Peggy kicked her out of the window was so awesome! I had a feeling she would survive that fall (she is a Black Widow afterall!). Wonder where she went but all I know is that Peggy will make sure the job is done the next time she sees her.
Howard on that plane and hallucinating that he was going to save Steve absolutely just broke my heart :( Thank god Peggy managed to make him snap out of it in time to save everyone. I really thought we were going to lose him for a second there. Also, everyone at the SSR applauding and praising Peggy for her work made me smile so damn much :) She's finally accepted by her coworkers again. Also, I loved that Sousa asked Peggy out for a drink at the end. Even though she said no, you could tell she really wanted to but she had to do something very important first...
Angie and Peggy now staying at one of Howard's homes is going to be so awesome. Peggy being so excited that there are telephones in every room made me laugh so much but then I had a sudden realization. What if she's going to use one of the phones to call her headquarters and say that she has successfully infiltrated into Howard's home? Just one of the many reasons we need a season 2!!
Peggy going up to the Brooklyn Bridge and pouring out Steve's blood was just heartwrenching. It was the perfect portrayal of the goodbye to the man she loved that she never got the chance to say when he was alive. "Bye, my darling" :'(
And finally that final scene!! Arnim Zola making an appearance was definitely shocking. "Perhaps there is another way for us to collaborate" Ohhh yes there is. HYDRA! They can certainly use someone with the skill of controlling people's minds. I just love this show.
Seriously, how awesome was that finale?! I was crying, laughing, and cheering throughout the whole hour. I certainly hope this isn't the last time we see Peggy, Jarvis, and Howard. Crossing my fingers we get a season 2! There is nothing on television like this show.
She has to be my favorite character in the entire MCU. Okay maybe tied with Black Widow and Tony Stark. But she is freakin' fantastic! This show needs more seasons. Like at least five more. :D
I loved the ending where Jarvis gives Peggy the last vial of Steve's blood. I loved the part where Peggy takes the vial then disposes it on the Brooklyn Bridge. It made me cry seeing how forlorn Peggy was saying goodbye to any part of Steve. Just Awesome!
ZOLA?!!!!!!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! i did not expect that AT ALL!!!!, wanted Carter and Sousa to go out for that drink, but that smile gave me hope i hope LOL. Angie's still amazing LOL and that last scene with Carter and Jarvis was so beautiful
This was great, amazing finale, not the most strong, but really good. I love the fight between Carter and Dottie (wow, that girls fighting was just great), I love the emotional moments between Peggy and Stark, and Peggy and Jarvis (this two have such great chemistry).
I like how things end up and yes, Zola appears at the end was awesome.
Awesome! The scenario with Howard in the plane was so painful to watch but beautifully done. Dottie and Peggy's fight was fantastic. I'm actually glad that Dottie lives to fight another day! She's a great villain. And Daniel asking Peggy out for a drink was adorable. I think Peggy really likes him. That smile said a lot. Angie was so cute in Howard's house, getting all excited about living there. Jarvis giving the last of Steve's blood to Peggy was beautiful. And then she let him go. My heart is in a million pieces. And then Zola! Oh boy. He and Dr. TalksTooMuch are gonna get into all sorts of trouble together. Overall a fantastic episode. I really hope we see more of Agent Carter!
I do actually love Steve, too. I didn't even watch Captain America until a friend convinced me to watch the MCU (and I watched everything in order) because the old comics are just a lot of propaganda and I just assumed I wouldn't care for it. But damn. They updated it perfectly, and it's not very political, I love it. And Steve is just so honestly following his heart all the time it's hard not to love him.
I find it weird though, to this day, that the CA movies seem to be the most important to the mythology of the universe. Winter Soldier was probably the best Marvel movie yet, even though Iron Man and Thor are my favorite Avengers. lol
That was exactly how I felt about Captain America, too. But the first movie did such a good job to divorce the character from the propaganda surrounding him, I immediately declared him my favourite (well, this was before Black Widow got proper character development in The Avengers and Peggy came into her own). It is so refreshing to get a hero who isn't "brooding" and has questionable morals. There aren't enough boy-scouts in television anymore. It's not really that surprising...the Iron Man movies were made when Marvel was still trying to set-up the universe, and the Thor movies always have a certain focus on Asgard. The Captain America franchise is the most logical to connect all the pieces for multiple reasons. I think that The Winter Soldier is the best Comic Book movie, period (even though I most likely will watch GotG more often, because it is more fun).
Zola was SUCH a plot twist. Howard and Peggy are absolutely amazing together. But also Jarvis, good gods, Jarvis! And Sousa wanting to ask Peggy out - I'd be content if he turned out to be Peggy's husband. Mr. Carter, heh. :D
Love this show so much! Loved the finale. Tons of great moments but my favorite was when Jarvis gave Peggy Captain America's blood. I lost it. I really hope ABC renews the show. It's just fantastic and fun to watch.
Awesome season finale. I'm so sad it's over for now, 'cause I want more. So please, ABC, please renew Agent Carter.
The scene in which Agent Thompson gets all the credit I just wanted to throw up. That was frustrating. And I agree with Agent Sousa: "I still wanna kill Thompson but no more than usual" But Peggy just rolls with it like the hero she is. And that's what heroes do, they don't take the credit.
I love Chad MM but Agent Thompson is THE WORTH! What a jerk! Agent Sousa on the other end is a real treasure :) I kinda hope he's futur Mister Carter ;) Peggy is still one of the best female character. I love Jarvis and Angie The end at the bridge was so sad because we already know that she won't see Steve for an other 50/60 years :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
ZOLA!! ZOLA!!

ReplyDeleteshould we take Carter's smile towards Sousa as a good sign?
ReplyDeleteyeah that's exactly what i said, you don't kill a Black Widow that easily
ReplyDeletehey Angie is NOT evil
ReplyDeleteIt's just a theory of mine ;) It would be cool though. Come on, I just know she's hiding something!!

ReplyDeleteno she's Carter's true friend in this crap of a world aside from Jarvis
ReplyDeleteif you watch SHIELD Fenhoff's method is used by HYDRA, it's called the Faustus Method
ReplyDeleteSo many tears:
ReplyDeletex Howard's shame at losing Steve and his greatest achievement being Project Rebirth.
x Jarvis having to seriously consider shooting down Howard.
x Howard/Jarvis hug.
x Peggy on the bridge, I can't even cope right now, damn my heart.
x Peggy getting a round of applause.
Non tearful but equally great moments.
x Peggy not needing anyone's approval. Hell yeah.
x That Peggy/Dottie fight.
x Sousa's earplugs, clever boy
x Angie and Peggy moving in together!
x Pretty much everything.
x ZOLAAAAAAAAAAAAA oh hell yes.
Please world can I have another season of this and AOS. Please and thank you.
She, Steve and Natasha are my favs!

Awesome episode, but are you kidding me you put him in prison in one cell with THIS GUY!
ReplyDeleteGood catch. I love how they tie everything together. :)
ReplyDeleteI second this.
ReplyDeleteYeah, not their brightest moment. Then again, they thought Zola was going to collaborate.
ReplyDeleteThat was exactly how I felt about Captain America, too. Agent Carter broke my heart. It broke my heart, especially with that radio and the bridge scene.
ReplyDeleteI hope, I hope ABC renews this.
Well said. Wonderfully rendered version of the source material on all production fronts. And FUN.
ReplyDeleteYES. Yes we should. I swear Peggy + Sousa is one of the main reasons I'm dying for a second season xD
