  3. Holy shit that was amazing!
RIP Chief Dooley. I really started to like him. He saved everyone and had a lot of respect for Peggy at the end. His poor wife and kids tho :(
What does Leviathan want with that gas that made everyone in the theatre kill each other. Does it have to do with the battle at Finnau?
Next week is the last episode, I don't want it to end.

  4. RIP, Chief Dooley didn't see that coming he made the ultimate sacrifice, another outstanding episode of Agent Carter, the heart pounding action just never let's up, with only one episode left it looks to be action packed again, come on ABC get with it and announce season two this just can't be the end, Amazing representation of the Marvel World!!!

  6. honestly what the hell is wrong with Stark? these inventions: they're inventions created by a villain not a hero, geez!

  7. Such a phenomenal/emotional episode this was!

Peggy's interrogation with the SSR was nothing short of stellar. She was not backing down from her coworkers whatsoever. "You think you know me, but I've never been more than what each of you have created". Hayley Atwell can do no wrong and she acted the hell out of that scene. Also, so happy Jarvis came to the SSR and saved Peggy! Woohoo, Jarvis to the rescue! But of course, he signed the confession papers and not Howard XD I just love how loyal he is.

Peggy finally coming clean about everything to the SSR was such a great scene. "I conducted my own investigation because no one listens to me. I got away with it because no one looks at me. Because unless I have your reports, your coffee, or your lunch, I am invisible." Damn, Peggy is so true about that.

Dottie knocked out Sousa in a heartbeat! And holy shit at her going down the stairwell like that in the building. So creepy but such a badass. Also, my fear has come true! Dr. Ivchenko stole one of Howard's inventions from the SSR lab. Dammit! Those sneaky Leviathans.

Wonder what Leviathan is planning to do with Item 17 now that they have it! Hmmm, is this the device that caused everyone in that platoon to die in the Battle of Finnau and now Leviathan wants to use it against Americans? I remember that commander telling Dooley in "The Blitzkrieg Button" that the Soviet soldiers were found to be ripped apart so maybe Item 17 was the cause of that afterall.

Now to Dooley. Oh boy, that scene where we saw him making up with his wife and asking to come home was such an emotional scene. Then come to find out, it was all a hallucination just made it so much more painful to watch :( So sad to see him trapped in that vest and no one had no idea how to help him and then he sacrificed himself to save everyone. Such a heroic moment. "Promise me you'll get the son of a bitch that did this!" Oh, yes she will! Peggy will definitely avenge Dooley's death. Shea Whigham was so phenomenal in this role.

Every episode from this show so far has been top notch and I can't wait to see what the season finale will be like! So not ready to say goodbye to this yet though :(

  8. HHhhmmm... considering how high the show has set the bar I found the episode to be a bit underwhelming. Not bad by no means, but it hardly touched the spectacular levels it usually does.
Understandable though. It was clearly setting up the finale. Penultimate episodes can suffer from that...

I was expecting Dooley to die, but it was sad to see him go, but at least he went down heroically and nobody can take that away from him. I was quite indifferent to him in the beginning but he really grew on me the last few weeks. I can honestly say I'll miss him.

  9. Another well-crafted, highly satisfying episode from a smart, action-packed comic book inspired television series that continues to appear to be written by adults for adults. My fan-boy romance with the Agent Carter television series has been short lived but as intense as any of my favorite comic book reading experiences as a young boy. Bravo, Marvel. Next week's finale will be bittersweet, especially if its a series finale vs a season finale.

  10. Yeah, it is quite ironic that the one romance in the MCU which works 100% is the one which will never have a happy end.
This episode had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

  11. Nooooo! I want Dottie to survive the season! She is such a good villain.

  12. Yeah the Steve/Peggy love story always makes me so sad.

  13. ABC are so annoying with their renewals, will most likely have to wait until mid May to find out.

  14. Awesome episode, i can't wait for the finally and i also can't wait for the creation of SHIELD.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm sorry to say that but we won't see that. The show will end with Stark give her the assignment to build SHIELD (One Shot).

    ReplyDelete
  16. Actually you are wrong. If you read an article about the show you will know that the One Shot was before the events of this show. And if you don't believe look the first episode. It has a special before, in it, the One Shot was featured as before events.

  17. I loved that episode. It was less story development and more character interaction. I loved the scene in which Peggy hold up a mirror to them telling them why they did underestimated her. And the moment she lets see them her feelings when she mentioned Steve. Oh and the scene in which Dottie jumped down the staircase. That was an awesome stunt...

    ReplyDelete
  18. I know, but the writers said in a recent interview that we will never see Carter building SHIELD and that said One Shot with Carter and Stark would be the last thing we will see.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well then they screwed up big time. In the first episode we see montage of what happened before this series and the One Shot was one of them so they have to explain that. But hey maybe you and i are both wrong. Maybe what we will see is not the whole One Shot, but only the phone call that Howard makes.

  20. Is there someone who also things that Dottie could be Yelena Belova, or is it just me?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I hope so, 'cause I would love to see her building up SHIELD and being the boss. That would be a lot of fun.

    ReplyDelete
  22. To be honest as soon as I typed that, I wanted to take it back, you're right and I do agree she's so darn creepy and scary we more of Dottie being a thorn in Peggy's side, bringing more creepy is scary good;)

  23. Hayley Artwell was absolutely perfect in this.

    Even more marvelous than usual.

  24. How stellar was this episode. Peggy's interrogation was beautiful. Loved how she made them all understand how stupid they were to underestimate her. Hayley Atwell is a treasure. Her face when she talked about Steve's blood made me cry. Peggy and Jarvis are hilarious together. Please please renew this show ABC. Sometimes you need to look above the ratings.

  25. The best episode yet. Great season so far. Carter and Jarvis are gold. RIP Chief Dooley.

  26. The showrunners have been asked about this and replied that she isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Actually, they've said that this show is set before the One-Shot (I guess the brief clip from the One-Shot in the show's first episode is meant to be seen as a flash-forward or something). Otherwise it wouldn't make sense, since the One-Shot ends with Howard recruiting Peggy to run SHIELD with him, yet in the show we see her still with the SSR.

  28. Two amazing edge-of-your-seat episodes in a row. This show is a diamond in the rough and needs to somehow pull through and get a second season, ratings be damned.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Damn, the Carter writers know how to turn the screws when building tension, true their aim is setting up for the finale, but this is good stuff. The question is what happened in the theater the same thing that happened in Finnau, and who designed the original gas.
Looking forward to the finale and hoping ABC has the sense to give the Carter team a full season.

  30. Stark can't help himself...he is a genius and he told Peggy that he would go crazy not building.....it is how is mind works...Just like TONY.... Tony is the same way.....

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have this suspicion that the 'long dormant defense program' that Tony reactivates was created by Howard and was one of his bad bad babies but Tony had no idea what he was getting into.
