Maybe Empire has the best ratings but HtGAWM has the best twisted plot that I have seen in years. I am still trying to get my jaw off the floor. This was the best Episode of the season so far...better than the winter finale. I am still shaking...
I swear, I sat with my jaw hanging open - literally - for five minutes. I can't remember getting caught so off guard by a show in YEARS. So fun. Y'know. In a twisted way. (And are we supposed to still suspect Rebecca of being a killer? Because between Wes obsessing over the scratches and the whole ex-roomie thing, that girl ain't right.)
OH MY GOD. They actually did it! Annalise and the Keating 5 actually got away with murder (for now). My jaw dropped multiple times during this episode. Holy shit, that was an insane hour of television.
That courtroom scene with Annalise where she was not backing down from the prosecutor and was convinced that this whole trial was rigged is one of the many reasons why Viola Davis has been nominated for awards this season and has won some so far. Such an epic scene and I literally cheered for joy haha.
Connor and Annalise having a heart to heart conversation in her office was a great scene. Annalise is right, they're both warriors and she is his only option. Without her, he goes to prison. You don't normally see these two together alone but boy oh boy was it a memorable one. Also, I have a feeling this Rudy/Wes/Rebecca storyline is definitely going to come to a head. Rebecca is acting very fishy about it and now I have a feeling that she's keeping some very important stuff from Wes because she doesn't want him to find out. Hmmm, I'm very interested in finding out more about this.
I knew Bonnie was going to put two and two together and realize that Annalise knows more than she's letting on. Thank god she listened to Bonnie and finally went to the police for questioning so they don't think she's guilty anymore.
That whole montage of Annalise in the interrogation room was epic. The side by side where we see her answering all the questions, building an alibi and then you see Frank planting Nate's fingerprint on Sam's ring and put it in the woods. Damn, he really is the best right-hand man! Sorry, Nate. Someone was going to get thrown under the bus. I just didn't expect it to be you! And Michaela worded it perfectly, Annalise is definitely taking care of you guys.
After watching this hr of pure entertainment, I was just speechless such intense, and riveting twists and turns the other Ms Keating is no match for Mrs Keating, Wes I still haven't figured him out yet, he still seems kinda off to me, great episode I'm sad it's almost time for another hiatus, Viola Davis continues to led an amazing cast everyone shines!!!!
im starting to belive that body will appear a the season finale. Cause damn too much talk about Rudy and just three episodes left?. that's better be the twist for the next one.
OMFG! This episode was intense. Bonnie finding out things on her own (I swear i watched that scene like 7 times) was amazing. Also noticed the way Bonnie and Frank work together, those looks to each other like they are having silent conversations. I love that dinamic. Also how Frank is willing to do this things for Annalise cause if he gets caught doing anything of it, he will be the one to blame and he just risk it. Those three are quite a team. Im starting to believe that loosing in the court room was just for appearances. Im glad somebody finally talked to Connor, noone could get through him. piece by piece Wes is finding more about Rudy and Rebecca is looking more and more suspicious. Nate must know that Annalise is setting him up. He had to be the one she called right?.
Really, how unbelievable was this episode? Marcia Gay Harden, and..............Viola Davis (powerful performance tonight)! (No Spoilers..........must see episode) 4 A MURDER FREE TRIAL, I will be Nobody!!!
I found it infinitely funny when Annalise told her mob clients it was a bad idea to change the lawyer right before the trial, and then we see her team only just starting to work on the case in any way. I know that's typical TV pacing of such proceedings (things that normally take months are done in days), but if that's the reality you want to construct, don't use an argument based on how it works in the real world. A TV lawyer can take over a day before the trial and still do enough research to win based on an obscure precedent nobody knew about ;)
And, yes, I'm nitpicking, but it made be laugh so hard for some reason :P
I don't always stare at the screen with my jaw hanging open. I've seen so much there aren't hardly any twists nowadays that can surprise. But this show did it. For a hot second I thought she would throw one of the kids under the bus. Bu no.... So now sh*t's about to get serious when Annalise calls for Mama.
I still can't believe she did that. And the look on his face was like, he knew what was happening to him and he knew who had done it. Best episode ever!
OMG! I am still reeling from that episode the twists and turns going on in this show is awesome. Nate being arrested in the end was not something that I saw coming, this show delivers every week and I love it!!
He knew exactly what was coming...He had a slight smile on his face...I think Annalise warned him the night before, the call she made must've been to him...But I find it weird he'd agree to that, even if he'll be let out...THEN WHAT?
Seriously...I don't even have accurate words for this show and the brilliance that Viola Davis displays in every single one of her scenes. Her and Florence Welch are the only women giving me life lately.
Also, I thought they were gonna pin it on Asher...NADA! And the twists keep on coming. That last scene made me actually warm up to Bonnie, who's become this kinda bland mess whe she's in the background, but when she's given more screentime - she tends to shine! Also, I only just now understood that the line "Don't let them ruin you." was actually referring to the police and not the Keating 4 (ha! I'mma coin it), right?
This show is brilliant, full stop. This was a fabulous episode yet again! Viola Davis should get that Emmy, she is amazing. Loved everything here but that final twist of her framing Nate... wow! Also Bonnie figuring it all out was pretty mind blowing too and I continue to be fascinated by the physiological game between the Keating 4. My heart almost dropped for Michaela when they said they had found a ring! Wow
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It's best episode yet.
ReplyDeleteNate:(( only slow down, sooner or later the police will release him not enough evidence and then Annalise run...........
ReplyDeleteyayyyyyyyy Cicely Tyson next week
Annalise and Connor talk was amazing
More Emmy winning acting by Viola Davis and even more anxiety and suspense generated while waiting for the next shoe to drop. Bravo

ReplyDeleteShit hit the fan so bad...
ReplyDeleteRudy is, most likely the plot for second season. They're already setting everything up for second season.
ReplyDeleteThat episode was so good. The show is firing on all cylinders.

One of the best episodes!
ReplyDeleteStill loving the game. Loved the look on Nate's face when he was being arrested. He didn't know it was coming but instantly knew he had been played.
