Amber just running her bastard ex-husband over was absolutely amazing (but what happened to him?) and one of my favorite moments of the episode. Although I'm not sure why she didn't just call 911.
And the end with the golf game was hilarious. Loved Steve and Grover's little rivalry. And aww at his kids calling him "Uncle Steve" too. Cute.
I liked the episode, but I'm frustrated with Scott Caan! (I do love him though). He must have been filming this in a different location or time because they purposely did not have Steve visit him in the hospital. You know Peter would have made sure there was a McDanno hospital scene if possible. I really hope there is a Season 6 and Scott dedicates himself FULL time. I'm glad the next 2 episodes look awesome with lots of Steve/Danny.
Some of it was good, some of it was over-the-top and predictable..but that's kind of what I expect from 5-0.
I hope Amber faces some consequences for her actions..it cannot be ok for someone to run over their ex like that and get away with it..no no.
I love Melina but her role as victim-of-the-week was too much and over-the-top..she's so much better than that.
And someone please give CHIN something to do..what a wasted character…they are 5 main leads but Chin always seems to be stuck in the office looking worried. Sigh.
I don't care about the guest actors as long as they contribute to the story and the story isn't secondary to the actor. I feel lately it's been like that.
It was alright..not the best but not the worst. Can we go back to great storytelling again?
Unfortunately, Scott's got a family in L.A….and he does fly back and forth to see them every 3 weeks or so… Peter's doing a great job of filming around him so that he's still in 75% of the eps. It's either this or Scott decides to quit and I think they've found a solution that works for both of them…for now anyway. I personally cannot envision a Hawaii-Five world where Scott Caan isn't in it.
Amber's ex-husband literally broke into the house and stabbed Danny then went after them again. I think she was justified in running him over like that.
I agree with you about Chin. He seems to have been relegated to a more minor position than most of the guest stars. He should be paired with Steve when Danny's away.
Exactly…I feel like the guest actors get more screen time..they should not! The Core 4 (plus More) are the reason we fell in love with the show in the first place and one of the reasons we keep coming back…please don't turn Chin into a "Tyler or Bonnie" (Vampire Diaries reference) who simply wait in the background to provide some much needed news and then disappear into the background…sigh
His was less in this episode because he was over in the mainland in Atalanta and various other places doing reshoots for Insurgent and preparing his directorial debut for 5.17 and it was also Christmas time this was filmed.
Another great episode and Melina wow great acting from her. And great to see another Aussie related actor David Hoflin who played Amber's ex in the episode he was well known for his role on Neighbours as Oliver Barnes. He is Swedish hence the accent.
This got me questioning how did he find Danno & Amber I know he went to Kamekona but he didn't mention where they were right?
Loved the ending. Never thought Michelle could act great job for her! Never thought Danno would've got stabbed one of the biggest shocks of the ep.
Next week DDK's directorial debut love this guy since Angel can't wait to see it! That may explain why he isn't barely in the episode and also he was in the mainland at the time with Insurgent and being on holiday with family too since it was the week before Christmas this episode was shot.
The hotel they shot at aka The Aston on Waikiki Beach I've been there such a beautiful hotel went on the H50 tour back in September and the tour guide Amy gave myself and my friends a view of the beach from the top floor that had been shown on a couple of episodes of the show so it gave me back some memories when I watched the ep last night :D and oh yeah love Waimanalo one of the most popular tourist places to visit in Hawaii such beautiful views.
Its called justifiable homicide, Amber's ex husband broke into that house, threatened to killer her and stabbed Danny then went after them again and she ran over him again fearing he might come after them again.
No cop, prosecutor or judge would want to send her to jail. If someone did what she did in real life, it would most likely be the same. So I dont think she would face consequences. .
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteMaybe..but she got that murder look in her eyes and did stop first…then decided to run him over…I feel like there should be consequences
ReplyDeleteMe either!!! I love #H50 because of Alex and Scott!! Their chemistry is Superior! The show is soooo much better when they are together! :)

ReplyDeleteYou got to remember though Dano killed the guy who murdered his brother and got away with it.

ReplyDeleteWe'll find out in 2 weeks...
ReplyDeleteGreat episode. Glad Amber ran him over. Two very sick psycho characters in this one.
ReplyDeleteHe hasn't got away with it! He gets arrested in the episode after the next one. Episode 18
ReplyDelete5.18 there will be consequences for him don't worry about that!

There is a term for what Amber/Melissa did !

and she ran over him again fearing he might come after them again.
