Ben needs to come around and accept his sister. Like Bailey said, it's not about him. He needs to suck up the feeling of "betrayal" and be there for Rosalind when she transitions.
No at Amelia/Owen. She deserves way better than him.
I loved Doctor Herman this episode. She was hilarious, and I'm liking her friendship with Arizona.
Too much going on. Too many characters. It really felt like a filler episode. The only silver lining was Herman....by default it made Arizona tolerable.
I like Owen/ Amelia. Meredith stayed in a hotel room alone. Ok. That just shows how great she is at being mom! How could she just do that with 2 kids?!! 2 kids who's dad just left. She's whiny and selfish. Kinda like Callie lately. Ugh.
It is not about Ben, but Ben is not a machine who just switches a button and is fine with everything in the end of the DAY. The whole episode took place in one single day, and it was realistic that he was angry and disappointed that his sister/brother didn't trust him enough to tell him he was going to transition. Notice that Ben's baseline was "betrayal" and not rejection. I'm pretty sure he will suck up the feeling of "betrayal" and be there for Rosalind, but I find laughable to expect him to process everything in the two hours, which is basically the timeline between learning the truth and pouring his soul to Bailey.
Love, love love Herman this week! Such fun watching her with Arizona,i'm glad the two are getting along so well.
I don't know what it is about Amelia that i don't like but i'm not warming her to her at all. Ben needs to get a grip.He should be thrilled his brother, err, sister isn't dying. And as for Jo,what a waste of a character.
I don't think its Richard or Catherine who is at fault, its both of them with Catherine having a larger part in this relationship. I would love Herman to become a regular! I swear Shonda knew we would fall in love with this character just in time for her to die, ugh, lol!
And what's up with Jo all of a sudden not keeping her pants on? I feel like i was watching Lizzie all over again....come to think of it i rather have Lizzie over Jo any day.
Another strong episode. The story with Ben's brother should be quite interesting. His reaction was completely understandable and it'll be nice seeing him come around to it. Because that's life. With news like that, you can't expect people to be ok with it immediately.
Not sure about Owen/Amy. I love Amelia and would love to see her with someone equally as awesome, but I don't hate Owen and they might be cute together.
Once Mer got over herself, it was really cute seeing her with Maggie and then Alex. I can see why she'd enjoy getting away from things for a while. I think this was about Derek and not the kids.
Bit worried about Herman... she was so out of character this episode, I hope the tumour hasn't advanced into her frontal lobe. She's never been so fun before!
There is not a single way for parenting. My parents would leave me and my siblings with my grandmother and take a weekend away one or twice a year when we were little.
Mine too. But the difference is that my parents (and I assume yours) always made sure they could be contacted if something happened. Meredith wanting to get away is fine, Meredith not telling people where she was or answering her cellphone was just stupid. What if something happens with the kids?
Totally agree with you. It was easy for Bailey to accept because she has only know Kurt for a few years, but Ben has known him his whole life and needs time to process.
The only thing she did wrong was not being honest about the reason she wanted someone to look after her kids. If you can't trust someone with your children so you can actually have time to yourself as your own person then that's your issue, but don't throw up "well I'm a mother" as though that gives you the authority to speak for all parents.
It's just a tv show and I have the same "authority" you have to give your opinion. I think Meredith is selfish and immature. If you don't it doesn't hurt my feelings. It's just a show.
Agree. All families are different. And as I said it's just tv. But her kids have 2 doctor parents rarely around. And they are raised in daycare. And now there dad moved to the other side of the country. It's not a good situation for mom to leave for time away. Her character has always been this way. It isn't surprising.
I don't see the problem with Meredith. Especially since she left her children with a relative. But on the other hand, Callie is drinking and dancing. And Arizona is having a PJ party with Herman. Is no one wondering where the hell Sophia is? lol
Geena Davis freakin' killed this episode. Like every line she spoke was gold. And she wasn't judging Arizona. I have grown to actually adore her. I'm just wondering if it's the symptoms, but I don't care. SHE WAS SO FUN. And the last scene when she said she wasn't gonna have sex with Arizona...was just a cherry on top. I hope Shonda doesn't kill her and at least keeps her around till the end of the season. Please Shonda...have some mercy FOR US.
I liked their moment for a second. Saw a chance of a clean start there...But then my initial objections swooped in and I ended up saying 'NOPE.' This pairing has no ground to stand upon whatosever. I get it, they're both damaged people. That does not mean they should be together, like seriously - this isn't realistic. Am I supposed to REALLY pursue the first person that I encounter who has gone through something horrible? Sure, it could work. But there are 1000 of people like that who probably would have better odds at making it work. At the end of the day these two will be the end of each other, it'll be even more toxic than Crowen. Realistically speaking...But with Shonda shoving it down our throats, she'll probably make it all lovey-dovey. Sure, the kiss WAS a nice touch, but what actually got me thinking - they are lonely, they find each other attractive, but in a real world IT DOESN'T have to lead anywhere, right? And I am really really hoping that's the case. Crossing my fingers as we speak. Especially given how she was content with going home. Nope, I don't suggest that if she was into it she should straddle on top of him right then and there, but...my interpretation is that she was like - 'Okay. That's it. It was fun. Nothing more to it.' Please Shonda, don't make me lose it...I'd rather have him and Callie together - who also has been through crap. And they've known each other much much longer. Long enough to actually maybe establish a remotely working relationship. Picking your love interests is actually quite similar to picking your clothes. You cannot jump at the first thing you like and buy it - otherwise you'd be broke. I think that's a good metaphor for how it'll end up for both of them. And I actually get Amelia's end more than Owen's. She is lonely, she used to have game, she was supposed to be married, whereas Owen should actually take some time for himself, IMHO, reevaluate. And if he really wants to start something new with one of his colleagues, it definitely shouldn't be Amelia. This has bad news written all over it. IDK...I feel like I am just ranting like a madman, but I cannot stress this enough. I am so protective of her character, I fell in love with back on her first day on PP and watched her grow and to me this would actually be kinda of a regression. She needs someone without a past, someone...normal. And that's not saying that Owen is not normal...he just has a lot of baggage - and a lot of recent one, while we're at it...it was like 5-6 episodes ago that he was making this big speech about missing Christina. FOR GOD'S SAKES, Shonda...Get it together or I'll storm the writer's room...END OF RANT. For now.
You were incensed enough to respond to my original post, the fact still remains that you can have your opinion but stating that you're a mother doesn't make you sound any more knowledgeable on the subject.
I like Jo and Alex a lot, she's actually the only girl I liked with Alex except for Izzie, but I wish his storyline was beyond their relationship... It just seems like the dude has nothing to do.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

anyone know a link to watch it
ReplyDeleteYou're right. Meredith wanted time to herself, what an awful person that must make her.
ReplyDeleteYes it does as you don't get to have time to yourself when you have kids! They should always come first.
ReplyDeleteI found two links for you!

Herman was hilarious in this episode. I hope she doesn't die. I want her around as a regular.
ReplyDeleteOne's sanity comes before everything. And taking time for yourself once in a while is required to keep one sane.
ReplyDeleteOh please. She is a human being and needs time to herself once in a while. She's practically a single mom now, and that's hard enough as is.
ReplyDeleteLove, love love Herman this week! Such fun watching her with Arizona,i'm glad the two are getting along so well.

Yes, the naked Jo came out of nowhere, but at least it brought some humor. And do you mean Izzie, because the only Lizzie I recall is Derek's sister?
ReplyDeleteAnother strong episode. The story with Ben's brother should be quite interesting. His reaction was completely understandable and it'll be nice seeing him come around to it. Because that's life. With news like that, you can't expect people to be ok with it immediately.

ReplyDeleteShe's super awesome, I hope she doesn't die! Ugh, who am I kidding, is Shonda, she's totally gonna die.
ReplyDeleteThis season is great, but when is Alex going to get a storyline? He gets less screentime than the patients of the week!
ReplyDeleteReally, really good fries are hard to come by...
ReplyDeleteTeam James forever.
Mine too. But the difference is that my parents (and I assume yours) always made sure they could be contacted if something happened. Meredith wanting to get away is fine, Meredith not telling people where she was or answering her cellphone was just stupid. What if something happens with the kids?

Maybe they just asked Leah to drop by and watch her XD

ReplyDeleteSTILL WAITING FOR MERDER :(
ReplyDeleteWell at the ending scene in his house he says to Mer-I´m going to marry her (Jo). So maybe that´s the next storyline!! Fingers cross xx
