I missed Chaz tonight - prefer when they are all in an episode ( you notice how this show did not always have them all )but boy, now that it is really getting good, I am going to really miss this show.
Loved that ending and I love this show. I never thought when I started watching it, that it would be this good. I want more and a season 2. If NBC cared about the show at all, then they would have promoted it way more than they did. I never once saw a promo for the show during any of the other shows I watch on NBC. If that was the total end and Constantine does not get renewed or if another network doesn't get it, then I guess I'm going to have to read the comics. I want more.
Well, can't be 100% sure. And the female fallen angel's true colored wings earlier in the season were black (or close to it). They started off white, but when she was revealed as evil they turned dark.
Besides, John Doe, I've never really been too irritated and annoyed over a cancellation, but if Constantine gets cancelled...I will be SO angry. The episodes just get better and better. Corrigan changing his outlook slowly becoming The Spectre before he actually dies, Manny turning out to be behind Brujeria....I SO want a second season. Now give me on, NBC. Or at least let another network take a crack at Constantine.
Unless he's just an angel and even running things behind God's eyes. If that is possible, but I wouldn't mind Constantine taking creative license where their God isn't so omnipotent.
They haven't yet. Even when Manny flew away in the end, they were that same grey-ish color they've been ever since his first appearance in the pilot. That's another reason why I don't think he's fallen just yet. His wings would be black like that female angel.
Oh wow now I have a freshly opened wound over John Doe. Thanks a lot, jerk!! (jk haha) But seriously, John Doe and Dark Angel were the first broadcast shows I ever really got into and they're what transitioned me from younger-skewing fare to adult entertainment, both hurt when they got canceled, but John Doe.... Oh man.
It's different with Dark Angel to me. That series had more than one season, unlike John Doe which never got its chance. I think it's hard for any series to have a chance when they can't go past one season, like Doe and now possibly Constantine.
It sucks that DA did only get two seasons, and I totally forgot about that series when making my comments, but I would definitely add that to another disappointment that a network has made.
He's not a fallen yet, remember an Angel can do what the hell they want to if they go unnoticed by God. God can't keep track of all his Children because he's left the caretaking to them while he sleeps for his 7 days work... Manny doesn't intervene with anything which is why he can move about without detection. Sooner or later he will be found out and that's when God will take his wings.
I soooo didn't see the ending coming. Not. At. All. I will be crushed if Constantine isn't renewed or renamed and moved to Syfy (according to rumors). I need more.
There is a rumor that Syfy is trying to buy it and re-brand it as Hellblazer, but i'm not sure if it is just a rumor or real news. http://moviepilot.com/posts/2015/02/08/could-constantine-move-to-syfy-as-hellblazer-2673963
Yeah after the rename the network just went down from there. I wish i can say it would be a good move, but i would be lying. I think that the better network than Netflix would be CW.
really dark and creepy ep that I really enjoyed... and that twist.... I guess we now know the answer to the information that the rising darkness was going to be heralded by someone close to John who would betray him, but sure as heck didn't think it was going to be Manny.... I really enjoyed the dark edge to this show and hope that it gets renewed, or possibly maybe to another network (I read somewhere that Syfy might be a player....) in any event, I hope that this saga will be continued
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
They have to renew season 2 too many unanswered questions?
ReplyDeleteWTF?! Manny's the coming darkness? I didn't see that one coming.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode, very creepy and had Papa Midnite and Jim Coregan, love them. Only complaint, no Chaz.
Manny's a fallen angel? *Sigh Eh, figures. No such thing as good angels on TV. At least they're extremely rare.
ReplyDeleteAnd at least that was the only real cliffhanger.
Yeah, Manny put on one hell of a show. Pun intended.
ReplyDeleteI am going to miss this show. :(

ReplyDeleteDAMN IT!!! so he's completely evil and demonic? so why are his wings gray instead of white?
ReplyDeleteSo Manny plays both sides Interesting.

is that why his wings are gray and what about the Brujeria?

ReplyDeletePossible but why would his wings change color if he was working under Heaven's orders?
ReplyDeleteThey haven't yet. Even when Manny flew away in the end, they were that same grey-ish color they've been ever since his first appearance in the pilot. That's another reason why I don't think he's fallen just yet. His wings would be black like that female angel.
ReplyDeleteGotta love an angel who plays both sides.
ReplyDeleteBow-chicka-wow-wow.
I thought they looked darker. My mistake.
ReplyDeletehuh i thought the colors were good, evil, neutral white: good, black: evil and gray: i don't know
ReplyDeleteI'm confused by the colors at this point.
ReplyDeleteOh wow now I have a freshly opened wound over John Doe. Thanks a lot, jerk!! ReplyDeleteWish FOX would reboot that now. :(
Ratings don't justify a renewal.
ReplyDeleteYou should add that its Season/series finale.

I've heard about this, but I'm just cautious about it. Rather see Constantine on Netflix anyways.

ReplyDeleteEnded on quite a cliffhanger. Finally had Manny flying

ReplyDeleteRatings and the fans.
ReplyDeleteI read NBC is gladly to move Constatine to SYFY where it will do better and creative freedom.
ReplyDeleteSYFY is what NBC might move it to.
