After watching it, I think that body, the source of the virus, that's Cole. Jennifer said there was something about its eyes and Cole was reacting to the body. I'm pretty sure there was a paradox and somehow his body was the viral carrier.
The ending was epic. He created an alternate reality because they blew up the virus. But since their new reality exists, it means somehow the virus was still unleashed.
Gotta luv the mind puzzles. It's a really good show.
Jennifer is definetly my favorite character. She always has the best quotes. I don't know what she'll do now on her own. Remember the early promos with Cassie's ex in car telling Cole that he believed something was going on but not that he was Marty McFly? I think that will happen in the episode sraight after Cole fixes the future. Both of them will unite to find Cassie (and possibly Jennifer).
WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!!!!!!!!! JAMES COLE CANNOT BE THE VIRUS, HE'S NOT ALLOWED TO BE NO JUST NO, NO, NOOOOO!!!!! i'm actually warming up to Jennifer now, she's hilarious, Cole and Cassie better be okay with each other after next week's episode
JENNIFER EPISODES ARE AWESOME! JENNIFER EPISODES ARE ALWAYS AWESOME! MORE JENNIFER EPISODES IMMEDIATELY! (No Spoilers..........you have to see this episode!) 4 A MONKEY FREE FUTURE, I am Nobody!!!
So I just looked up the show on RT and surprised that it only has 57% ratings and so many bad reviews: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/12-monkeys/s01/
That's what I think too. I was suspecting the body was Cole so when he started feeling weird that's all I could thinkg about! It really does give an spin to things because it means Cole had gone back already once.
I love this show but I'm so confused about the time travel. Atari showed that it's a time loop (it had already happened, can't change it.) Yet in the pilot with the watch and last night with the alternate reality, it's showing that you CAN change the past. So which is it? You can't have both! I love the show but hope they can work this out.
I think it's like the Butterfly Effect movies. Every time Cole changes something in the past, he messes up something in the future and keeps creating alternate realities. I don't know if we'll ever see the original reality again. But that's probably how they will keep the show fresh.
I think the old man was one of Jones' lost time travelers and he's insane. Someone told me on another forum that they think the twelve monkeys are the twelve time travelers all lost, maybe Cole is number twelve or he's thirteen.
The body that was the source of the viral infection was probably Cole's. But there's a chance it was another lost time traveler's.
And I think Cole will kill Cassie at the CDC because he's trying to stop her from ever recording the message. I think that's why she said his name on the recording.
Either way, we can expect a big mindfrack out of the whole thing. But it's really good.
I don't know why it would get bad reviews. Maybe the people reviewing it just want to see more crappy reality shows. This show is one of the better ones out there. Not enough people are watching Helix, too.
I like the idea of a team a lot better than the unrealistic expectation that two people could actually save billions on their own. I would lose a lot of respect for the plot if the Writers decide to go that way. I don't understand what you said after that about Cole going back and time-jumps. Please rephrase with punctuation.
I agree with you except in the fact Cole will kill Cassie. In this moment, I think Cole will prefer to die 7 billions of persons before Cassie. I hope so.
well this contradicts with the professional critics review on several sites, for example on http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/02/07/12-monkeys-atari-review.. and on IMDB.... they rated it 8,6 and don't forget it had the best premiere rating on the SYFY channel..
Probably the show will need a little time before it gets the recognition it deserves, just like Breaking bad had an way lesser audience in the first seasons, and now became the legendary we all hear about..
ok, in the pilot Cassie asked Cole to go back a few hours so he can kill Goines before she intervened but he said he can't because it's too precise or close i don't remember the exact phrasing. It would be the same here unless the Splinter machine is more powerful by then, so i don't know how he can fix it. I also hate that next episode is rated tv-ma it makes me sick
JAMES COLE WOULD NEVER KILL CASSIE WHY WOULD YOU EVEN SAY THAT?!!! HE WOULD NEVER EVER DO THAT!!! The Army of the 12 Monkeys: the lost time travelers? i would buy that but we've seen pictures that show them either dead or mutilated so i don't think so. The Pallid Man being a time traveler COULD be true, i keep seeing that shot of him in the "This Season on..." with hair in what looks like the Splinter compound
i think it's pretty obvious that Cole's falling for her, especially in the last scenes of this episode before he Splintered back to the future, when he went after her and then screamed her name in the Splinter chair
Another awesome episode. They keep changing the focus in the story and I love that. I wonder if Pamse is still Cole´s friend in the new timeline. And I wonder if it is still Jones running the machine or if VII has taken over the project. Their aganda might be another than Coles. He seemed to know that has changed the future, which surpriced me.
If I'm right, and Cole keeps messing things up, he's going to come to realize that the only way to stop the virus is to stop the message from ever being sent in the first place. But he will always fail because that's the time paradox.
Just like when cole changed the killing of the man. Originally he was killed by the 12 monkeys but Cole interfered and decided to kill him thus alternating the timeline. Wanna bet Cole is this Witness lol
Cole being the virus is too easy. Bc if it was his body he be dead and would cease to exisit. Rule of time travel is if anything happens to u in any time period all traces of you are gone through time and space. That body is ancient dont know how ancient lol but the insane man mentioned something bout ancient in the vault. Whoever was the first time splitter gotta be related to Cole and no way he was just lucky enough to be chosen to save the world lol
He doesn't have to stop her from being kidnapped in the first place. He just has to get to her before she dies. Who knows how long they kept her? Might have been weeks
Yes, but if he changes the future and VII has control over the machine, is Jones there to send him back in the first place? All the years in between 2015
and 2043 must have changed a little now. That should also have an impact on Cole.
I guess we will find out what year he landed and based on how things look i think this is the moment where Deacon takes over the machine and moments before Cole saves everyone.
We dont know what yr he landed and based on how things look i think this is the moment where Deacon takes over the machine and moments before Cole saves everyone.
Hmmm....well, Cole expected the future to change when he destroyed the virus. He was expecting not to remember any of it and live in an entirely differnet world. That didn´t happen, instead only a little bit changed, but Cole didn´t. I understand that Cole needs to be the same for the series to work, but it doesn´t really seem logic to me.
he changed the timeline of the FUTURE. The past being different is what changed the future. But everything that happened in 2015 still happened, it's everything AFTER that got screwed up because of it
I will bet you that the Palid Man or insane man is her son who she experimented on first and pretty sure Jones is behind this and Cole is being set up and Jones is trying to redeem herself by having cole stopping her son from unleashing the virus
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
how much does Cassie hate Cole now?

ReplyDeleteWHAT WAS THAT??!!, I didn't get the ending, was a hallucination??, I don't know, I only know this show is AWESOME, and that deserves better numbers.
ReplyDeleteOh OK!!, thank you I didn't get the ending, and yes, that's what I thought too, about the body, I think is Cole's.
ReplyDeletei don't think there's any other explanation, COLE IS THE FREAKING VIRUS!!! NOOOO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCole and Cassie destroyed the virus but instead of Cole and the future being erased it became an alternate future
ReplyDeleteWHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand it'll officially become a trio, i don't like that. I liked only Cole and Cassie against the world
ReplyDeleteDon't know yet. But I'm sure he will meet up with her at some other point in time.
ReplyDeleteJENNIFER EPISODES ARE AWESOME! JENNIFER EPISODES ARE ALWAYS AWESOME! MORE JENNIFER EPISODES IMMEDIATELY! (No Spoilers..........you have to see this episode!) 4 A MONKEY FREE FUTURE, I am Nobody!!!

ReplyDeleteI love this show but I'm so confused about the time travel. Atari showed that it's a time loop (it had already happened, can't change it.) ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a team a lot better than the unrealistic expectation that two people could actually save billions on their own. ReplyDeleteIf he has changed the future, shouldn´t he be changed aswell? I´m guessing Ramse will be different, but why isn´t Cole?

ReplyDeleteJennifer is my favorite now.. loved the episode..
ReplyDeleteoh i just figured he'd want to go back to before he and Cassie destroyed the virus but i guess that makes sense
ReplyDeletewe don't actually know if the 12 monkeys killed Henri, maybe it was always Cole
ReplyDeleteCole's immune to paradoxes and he would NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS OR TIMELINES EVER KILL CASSIE!!!
ReplyDeletetime doesn't affect Cole the same as it would everyone else, he wouldn't have been changed at all. That's why he remembers and is the same
ReplyDeleteTrue but i get the feeling that w.e. Cole does he is being manipulated by someone from 2043 and i think that German Scientist is behind all this lol.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....well, Cole expected the future to change when he destroyed the virus. He was expecting not to remember any of it and live in an entirely differnet world. That didn´t happen, instead only a little bit changed, but Cole didn´t.

ReplyDeleteJones? really? come on that's insane LOL
ReplyDeletei've been thinking maybe Cole won't be erased and Cole will remember both timelines
ReplyDeletei think everything's been changed based on the sneak peek, especially concerning Ramse
ReplyDeleteShe started this and she's German lol They are crazy ppl man! you see what they capable in Marvel Universe lol
ReplyDeleteI think he will. It just makes it easier to tell the story.
ReplyDeleteIt seemed to me like the timeline had shifted a bit and things had changed, but let´s see. Can´t wait for the next ep.
ReplyDeleteI will bet you that the Palid Man or insane man is her son who she experimented on first and pretty sure Jones is behind this and Cole is being set up and Jones is trying to redeem herself by having cole stopping her son from unleashing the virus
ReplyDeletewait, will what? remember or NOT remember?
ReplyDeleteDeacon's not even in charge of the VII
ReplyDelete
