Clarke is canonically bisexual and that is amazing, and now I ship her and Lexa. I love that the only problem is that she isn't ready yet, which is completely understandable.
And oh God, Jaha's so overdramatic about the City of Light. Chill.
They don’t label themselves. If Clarke’s attracted to someone, gender isn’t a factor. Some things improve post-apocalypse. Even though Clarke do need time but I can get behind Clarke and Lexa Bellamy had John McClane moment Raven and Wick wow and her playing insecurity beautifully Jaha really needs to chill out can't believe it's we have two episodes left
Haven't seen the episode yet, but I hope that people aren't voting awful just because it was discovered that she was bisexual. As a bisexual myself, I would be offended; there's nothing wrong with that
God, I am so glad that there is an actual bisexual main character on a network television show. I don't even like Clarke and Lexa together, but damn I love me some representation.
So many other things to talk about, but I am just elated right now.
Best episode yet!! Clarke, our main character being bisexual is awesome and such a breakthrough in television. Woohoo! And I love that the only reason why she doesn't want to pursue a relationship right now is because she's not ready yet. I'm also glad that Lexa seemed to be okay with that. Just when I couldn't love this show more! I just now that the writers are going to do this right.
Also, Wick and Raven finally growing closer was so adorable. But now I'm scared that she has seconds thoughts about doing that which was understandable. She's having a tough time opening up with someone and caring for them after all that went down with Finn.
Bellamy was such a badass killing all those guards and barely escaping the fire that was coming after him in the vent. Yes! The acid fog has been destroyed and now we are ready to battle!
Oh no at Octavia saying that she will fight this war to get her friends back but she will be done with Clarke :( Looks like Clarke is going to lose a lot of people that she cares about when this war is over.
Can't believe the finale is next week! Next week's battle is officially here and I can't wait to see it all go down. Blood for blood!
that fact that is was with Lexa, not so awesome. It still doesn't make sense to me,And I still would far prefer if there were no shipping in the show but at this point I'll just take it.
"Gender isn't a factor" "Remember that in this society, no one's worried about it. They're worried about spears to the chest" It's official, Jason is the best showrunner ever! I have faith in him. And thanks for beautiful pictures Nirat!
I loved the Raven/Wick/Bellamy team. I loved all of Bellamy's action scenes, Murphy's snark and Clarke finally telling Lexa off about her emotional BS and Octavia completely losing respect for Clarke. I didn't not like the kiss, I do not like that they all of sudden declare Clarke as a bisexual, and I most especially did not like Lexa putting a hit on Octavia. I loved Indra's f' it attitude and I even loved the Raven/Wick sex. It was real and an emotional moment for Raven. He was blunt, honest and understanding of her hesitation. I voted Ok because for as much as I loved, the little I didn't is an issue I won't ever agree with. Also, no matter how much I hate shipping, ship wars and illogical romance disrupting the war I'm trying to patiently wait for, I completely and wholeheartedly understand why those fans who ship Bellamy and Clarke feel disrespected and slapped in the face by the writers and mocked by the actors.
Not sure why they would feel that over it, but then again I don't see anything between Bellamy and Clarke romantically really. Maybe a small possibility between them, but nothing really. But then again I don't ship anyone. The only issue I had is that any romance at all should be kept out of this season as it stands, but it was all mostly background stuff anyway and barely qualifies.
Amazing episode. The Clarke and Lexa story in this episode so so beautiful and well done! I think they may be my favorite ship on the show. They have such great chemistry too!
Not surprised at all that Indra understand Lexa's decision not to warn anyone. She gets that this is war and they need to do what they have to in order to win.
Raven and Wick are so cute, but poor Raven isn't ready tet, just like Clarke. She made me cry.
The city of Light story is getting more interesting now. Cant wait to see what happends next.
How awesome if it that the main character is bisexual? We rarely get to see that, and it's afirst for the CW. I never expected to like ClarkexLexa as muchas I do. They're fascinating together and sure had a lot of sexual tension in this episode.
No, we are NOT owed Bellarke. The writers are going to tell their story and not give into fanservice. They're not disprespecting anyone by not making a couple canon. Plus you never know what will happen in the future.
You have to realize that some people don't ship Clexa the same way they don't ship Flarke or Bellarke. I personally don't like Lexa as a character the same way I didn't like Finn. I am happy for their fandom but that doesn't mean I am not hurt and it doesn't mean I am homophobic.
I think it's pathetic that some people just click on this poll 'awful' even though they most likley haven't even seen the episode.
I've been reading the communications between the writers/actors/fans and there has been disrespect on all three sides. That's what that comment is based on.
An actual bisexual main character on a network television show..claps and claps!!! I'm not watching this show regularly, but this is awesome and a amazing representation, and Clarke being the main character makes everything more awesome!
The show decided to display Clarke's sexuality not only at the wrong time.. but also with the wrong dialogue & with the wrong character. I appreciate as much as the next person that the lead character of an amazing show..CW show.. is bisexual. I don't appreciate the absolute destruction of her characterization not only with her scene with Lexa but almost every scene she was in this episode. & I have a huge problem with this because Clarke Griffin is probably one of my favorite television characters ever. Everyone on here seems excited that Clarke just said she's not ready "yet" but that was the biggest issue of all. She's not ready yet? So I'm suppose to believe that Clarke would even consider pursuing someone who not only made her kill her first love but also ordered many of her friends death who she is now fighting so hard to save?!. I didn't even mind the kiss.. (if it was for comfort considering the 100 writers have decided to have Clarke being alienated from litterally every person she cares about) The kiss was both emotional&hot. But the dialogue afterwards is what truly made me question what in the hell the writers are doing with her character. Representation should not come at the expense of the narrative and to have such questionable writing for your lead character after everything they've done right is just disappointing. & then you have Clarke ordering Octavia to stay away from battle to make up for leaving her to die in Tondc and it honestly seems like a completely different Clarke to me. This isn't character progression or development this is out of character.... Other complaints in the episode: Loved Raven's vulnerability but I just do not care about any romance right now. No Lincoln?! (why was Ricky Whittle promoted to series regular if Lexa Indra Cage Dante& Murphyget more screentime then him).. There were few highlights for me as I felt this was one of the weakest episodes of the series: Bellamy in the vent just all sorts of badass & the final scene between Octavia and Indra which should bring some good stuff for Octavia in the future.. She may have dissed Clarke for fitting right in with the council. But she's also not too keen on all the grounder ways either. Final thoughts are that I hope there is no romance besides linctavia until relationships are actually developed!
I felt the same. I completely understand representation is important and it's fantastic that they Jason confirmed Clarke is bisexual / pointed out that gender doesn't matter.
What doesn't make any sense to me is that Clarke would even consider being in a relationship with Lexa, after a) Lexa's involvement in Finn's death b) Her ordering Octavia to be killed two seconds earlier c) The fact she is constantly trying to manipulate Clarke (Am I the only one seeing that?). Any other character, female or male, and this episode would have been my favourite of the whole series.
I've been a Bellarke fan most of the season. But I have no problems with a Lexarke ship at all. I don't feel the writers were disrespectful. I'd actually be happy with a triangle. But I don't think the actress is staying on the show. So it will probably be a sad end for her. And Bellarke will still happen.
ANY other character and this would have been amazing I agree. It would have made more sense for this development to be with Raven before it would Lexa. Still Alycia Debnam Carey won't be in many episodes of s3 so their development won't be able to be explored much more which I feel sorry that I no longer care. Lexa was a great addition to the show until they decided to sacrifice everything they've ever written for Clarke just for Lexa to have feelings for Clarke & reveal Clarke is bisexual.
I've been reading on twitter too, and let's start by saying that some shippers (not all) are constantly annoying the actors, writers and producers with their ships. Some take it as a game, but I saw a tweet a few days ago from Bob Morley saying he doesn't care about any ship, that this is just a job to him, and some fans found that insulting. Why exaclty? And even Eliza Taylor seems to be tired of being asked about shipping. What I'm saying is, why don't keep the whole ship thing between the fans that are actually into that (I'm not one of them). Why do they keep trying to force the people who make the show into it?
Could be, they did that as well when Bellamy and Raven hooked up last season. I just hope it isn't related to any homophobic sentiment, it would be a shame to see them here on spoilertv
Great episode. Loved the interaction between Bellamy, Wick and Raven. And Bellamy's first plan was the right one, just blow eveything up! Wick and Raven was ok, but with 2 episodes to go, I'm not sure it was the right time. And Octavia is getting more awesome with each episode, it seems she is the moral compass right now. Hope that doesn't change any time soon. Nice dron in the end, let's see where that leads to. Can't wait for next week!
I agree totally with you on the annoying factor. It's why I hate shipping, why I don't ship and don't care for romance on my shows. But not all fans are like that and I won't generalize them. Some had legitimate concerns and were respectful in voicing them.
This show is just taylor made for me; it has everything I could ever ask hope: complex human characters, it is well paced, usually fast paced, with incredible action and intrigue and great plot. Seriously, how is it that every week I fall more and more in love with this show? This is nearing Fringe levels.
Bellamy had so many great scenes! And the march at the end... just wow. Not to mention that the city of light plot is getting increasingly interesting by the minute! What a show, really, so well acted and scripted. It needs to be freaking recognized!
I agree, I loved Lexa's character when she was first introduced. But the writers managed to take her from a strong, bad-ass female Commander to a manipulative, self-serving tool (as in prop) to point out that gender isn't a factor. In doing so they also managed to destroy Clarke's character development. Someone explain how she couldn't speak to Murphy let alone forgive him for his actions, yet she can kiss Lexa after hers?
I understand the point made, but I think there has been a build up towards this during the past few episodes, in which Clarke came to understand why Lexa is doing what she does, and she herself has become a bit like Lexa by letting the missile strike. She's an emotional wreck as of right now and she can't tell what she wants or doesn't want, and I'm sure that while there's a part of her that feels something for Lexa, there's the other part, a more rational one, that knows it's not an option for all the points you smartly pointed out.
Maybe the writers should have made that more explicit, but I think those issues will arise either way. Clexa doesn't seem like end game, and if it were to happen it would be all kinds of complicated, but at the same time I'd be curious to see how they would develop that and what would be the consequences for both of them. I find it an interesting course of action that I'm not against.
No complaints here. Well, maybe a little one with the kiss ended too soon, especially since the writers basically hit their sexual tension over the viewer's heads in this episode.
What makes it really great represantation is that if you were to describe Clarke, her sexual orientation wouldn't come up first; she's so complex and so layered that being bisexual is just a trait, it doesn't define her. And that's why it is so great :)
Jason has continually stated that there is no time for romance while they are at war yet he managed to find time for Lexa and Clarke. Bellamy and Clarke have a relationship that has developed over two seasons and is founded on shared leadership and respect.
Lexa and Clarke have a relationship that began with Lexa killing Clarke's first love and continued with Lexa almost killing Raven for something she didn't do, threatening to kill Octavia and constantly manipulating Clarke's opinion on what is right and wrong.
As I mentioned below, Clarke couldn't forgive Murphy for his actions but for some reason she's happy to kiss Lexa after everything she's done? They had to pull Clarke so far out of character to make this relationship possible I'm honestly surprised more people aren't feeling pissed off.
the 100 just doesn't know how to write romance/survival sex whatever they like to call it. They made Clarke the other woman without any further development with Finn yet 'they were in love' now clexa... Raven's slept with three different men in the span of a season & a half. And one half of the 'true romance' of the show is barely in the show (lincoln). Personally I think the show would benefit cutting romantic relationships & entanglements to a bare minimum more so then they even do now. Friendships&leaderships have been great. Romance... not so much
WOW, i thought the kiss would feel out of place but the writers managed to insert it into the story so naturally. It didn't seem too ... "shippy". Also, the cinematography in the desert was just amazing.
Not yet! lol nice bait Clarke. I liked them arguing this episode, it was fun to watch. Octavia being angry is like wtf for me, she doesn't get it like Indra and Kane did. She wants to be a grounder but not all the way in that she doesn't believe in the Commander or her ultimate goal cause.
Raven and Wick was because well the puzzle fits. Both Engineering type people.
Back on the Mountain was more good stuff with Bellamy roasting them guards. All of them have it coming soon.
Jaha and Group found the gates to the city of lights. They found another lasting group of people. Will they be a civilization on an island or boats? I wonder wonder.
This episode was pretty awesome! Raven and Wick are so cute together. I hope they can work it out. I loved all of Bellamy's scenes and i'm glad he didn't burn up in that air duct. The Clarke and Lexa scenes were good, but I'm still a Bellarke shipper. I do think they have great chemistry though. You can tell Lexa has deep feelings for Clarke.
Clrke actually gave Muprhy a second chance and let him stay at camp when Bellamy wanted to kill him. Then he returned the favor by killing 2 of the kids and trying to kill Bell and Ravn.
Wow what? They are so like early season 1 Bellarke it's not even funny. You know you just don't like it because you want Bellarke. I've seen your posts on twitter, it's obvious. Clarke is more amazing than ever in this episode. Saved Octavia, realized that love isn't weakness, we saw how much she cares for the Blake siblings, and she put Lexa in her place when it was needed. She owend this episode.
I don't see how showing she's bisexual could eve be displayed at the wrong time? It worked perfectly because lately the only person who's been there for Clarke has been Lexa. It's been just the two if tham and they've become attached. The kiss showed how Clarke make Lexa see that love isn't weakness.
Lexa didn't make Clarke kill Finn? That was CLarke's choice. Lincoln TOLD Clarke that if Lexa didn't have Finn killed, then they'd turn o her and kill her. She also knows it had to be done for peace between the Grounders and Sky People,in order to defeat MW. Maybe if Finn hadn't killed those 18 people, he would still be alive. CLarke understand being a leader means making tough choices, she's done it herself and it's why she relates to Lexa.
There;s been so much build up. That's why hardly anyone was shocked when the kiss was spoiled. There was happiness or angerm but not much shock. It's been building since 2x1o
it has for many nothing to do with a ship but with the character. Finn was just a annoying brat.
Lexa makes clarke do things that go against her character. Clarke would have found a way to stop the missile, she wouldnt have watched them die.
Dont make it into something else when lexa is just a bad leader and bad influence for clarke. If they develop something between those two, fine. But dont do it while sacrificing clarkes character. Make Lexa become more aware of her feelings and responsibility as leader. Make her more "human" and not this stoic character.
Lexa basically forced Clarke to kill Finn, a guy she loved. Explain to me how Lexa and Clarke could ever :logically" be together after that? If you want to throw logic out the window, then this episode makes perfect sense.
I would have actually loved if this arc had happened with Anya. Lexa is toxic and needs to go.
This show became beyond awesome this episode. They made Clarke the best female heroine ever a bisexual. And I am glad she said she is not ready for a relationship and Lexa respected that. So cool. I am so annoyed and upset this progressive show does not have more viewers. I am really proud of CW this year.
Raven and Wick was adorable. I think all this got a bit too much for Raven there. Poor girl. First her leg then Finn.
Bellamy was so bad ass this episode. I loved that this episode focused more on him taking down the acid fog.
I am now very interested in the city of light. I was not much pumped about it till now. But all this steps and tests before reaching somewhere. It better be awesome. I am getting a bit annoyed by this prophetic attitude of Jaha. I defied death because I am supposed to find this place. Loved Murphy's quip about how much crazy is too much? LOL
Octavia being upset about Clarke and Indra understanding the same was believable. I am sure Octavia will forgive Clarke after the war.
That's sth I have problem with too. Maybe not so much in term of forgivness, because I can imagine Calrke is able to justify Lexa's reasons fo killing Finn and torturing Raven- even if she hates them - but there is difference between understanding and having no problem with it when it comes to giving into romantic feelings. I can totally buy that Clarke is fascinated and maybe even a little infatuated with Lexa but I'm not that much convinced that so soon (I guess it's no longer than 1-3 weeks) after what she came trough with killing Finn she has l it in her to kiss the woman linked so much to his death. I know that she expressed her reluctance but I was kind of shocked she so calmly left it open for the future. It would be more believalbe if she struggled more with it and actually needed some real time.
I'm tired of this fan dumb attitude. I have no problem with Clarke being bisexual but I'm not going to stop shipping Bellarke. People shouldn't expect Bellarke fans to drop their ship and start shipping Clexa just because it's two women.
I liked Wick before but now they sold me on Wick/Raven, though I'm usually not very much into pairnigs. But I liked almost all about them: they have nice chemistry, they seem to get each other on this wordless level and through their whole interaction they stayed true to their characters. I like that Raven feels comfortable with WIck but stil has her thorns and that he knows that but isn't willing to just play her game. She 's the one always playing tough but WIck seems to be strong in just nthe right way for her. Other: I'm glad Octavia put it all together and in a twisted way I'm happy about the conflict between her and Clarke. I'm also kind of rooting for a huge conflict between Clarke and Bellamy soon ( I know, I know, I'm bad) because of the decisions she took and loyalities she abused on the way. This whole season was about Clarke making tough decissions and going too very new, very dark places while becoming a true leader and it's time to reap the less beneficial (than war accomplishments) consequences.I hope the next season will be much about it. I love Clarke but I think her further development as character needs it.
I loved the grounders-reapers jokes. Such a nice detail to show how even with life-threatening situations people deal and adapt to new reality by creating jokes. Jaha really is Moses now, isn't he? I was half expecting the sea open before them, but then they have only found a boat ;)
I still can't decide who I like more, Bo (Lost Girl) or Clarke. But agree very proud of The CW, very adult relationships, Wick calling out on Raven. Some shows should have a look how relationship dynamics and action can work so well together, without all the "drama"
I absolutely agree. If you look at the timeline this has all happened in a very short period of time. Raven seems more grief stricken over Finn than Clarke. Lincoln said that Lexa had to kill Finn because if she didn't then they would kill her. I can see Lexa dying and Clarke being set up as the leader of the Grounders because they believe in reincarnation and something will point to her . Mr Rothenberg is having a great time teasing Bellarkers. Remember Moonlighting: as soon as the couple came together was the end of the show so they will definitely keep teasing. To their mind it is better to have a negative reaction than no reaction a all. However we saw with Sleepy Hollow that the ratings declined to such an extent that the had to do rewrites and it is now on the bubble. The 100 ratings are not huge and it could be hit hard so it will be interesting to see how the writers go forward and if they kill off fan favourites,
I agree. I think romance is the weakest part of the show. Octavia/Lincoln are better this season (Jason seems to actually like them). But the rest are "meh". I actually dislike that Raven and Wick slept together because it cut any possibility of a slow development. It won't be the same after this.
I'm so happy right now, 'cause of CLEXA. Such a power "couple". They are very different and very similar at the same time. They just complete each other (But the same applies to Bellark, too). But I'm rooting for CLEXA.
The finale is gonna be EPIC. But there are just 2 episodes left and it will end with a huge cliffhanger, that's for sure. And then we have to wait too long for season 3. That will be a cruel withdrawal.
THAT was my problem with it. I complained in the previous episode poll page how I didn't like the person Clarke was becoming and Lexa is a terrible influence on her, the way she was corrupting Clarke and making her do things she would NEVER do. They had a 100 ways to show Clarke is bisexual and they chose the wrong one. And for god's sakes Lexa ORDERED OCTAVIA KILLED. If Clarke hadn't been there she'd be DEAD and Clarke would have a HUGE problem in her hands and guilty weighting down her conscience. She saves Octavia and the next thing she does is completely forgetting about it? WTH?
Lexa tries to manipulate Clarke 99% of the time. The kiss felt to me as a way for Clarke to manipulate Lexa. In the end Clarke got exactly what she wanted.
I agree with most of what you said. Even though I am a Bellarke shipper, that is not the reason I thought the whole Clarke bisexual, thing seemed wrong. I see thst Clarke is not herself but this really reminds me of another CW show where the writers did a complete about face of the mains character and it didn't work. I get Clarke is hurting with Finn and the choices she has had to make but Clarke's strength has always been her humanity. Even through all they went through in Season 1 she never lost sight of that and even though she made tough decisions she always had that humanity at the core. Bellamy was the other side and between the two together made good decisions, with Bellamy in mount Weathers Lexa has taken in that role and it isn't the same. First Finn went from being one way to another and now Clarke. Thank god they at least had Clarke say I'm not ready. Can't they just be two strong women and not have to be in some sort of thing or some maybe thing. Even though I would love Bellarke i am okay with it being the way it is and the way they dance around each other and are sting together. What they have done now is made some sort of triangle and it just doesn't feel right.
I'm still like 5 episodes behind but I've heard the show has gotten even better than before, especially after last night's episode a lot people were shocked it was on The CW, I can't wait to catch up :)
Yes your right I am a Bellarke shipper. Clarke & Bellamy had an entire season of honest & beautiful development. That being said I was not even looking for progression in Clarke & Bellamy's relationship until s4 at the earliest.Clarke is my favorite character of the show followed by Octavia & then probably Kane. So I'm most definitely not Bellamy obsessed either. I have no trouble with the kiss itself. I have no trouble with Clarke being bisexual. I have no trouble with bellarke NEVER happening as long as we see their friendship. I have seen through the Clarke&Lexa development that Clarke does connect with Lexa from a pure leadership position. I don't think she blames Lexa for making her kill Finn. But it still happened. And Clarke was in love with a murderer. This is what happened in the show & I'm not going to ignore that. Clarke consciously killed Finn for peace & to make the alliance stick. But she most definitely killed Finn first because she didn't want the man she loved to suffer. She was not concerned about Lexa possibly being killed by her people at that time. In episode 10 Clarke told Lexa she saved her life because the alliance would break if she died. I would never had a problem with Clarke & Lexa's development if there was progression from Clarke's pov but that has just not come across on screen aside from leadership necessity. Unrequited love from Lexa's pov would be more true to the narrative then Clarke having feelings for her. I've written a paper on the show's portrayal of humanity so no I'm not just another fangirl. But who care's if people are?! People can say it's because of bellarke all you want. But I litterally care about Clarke's characterization (my favorite female character ever) more than anything. So I'm disappointed. And entitled to my completely understandable opinion just as you and others are.
I have a feeling Alycia will be able to finish her role for a couple of episodes next season like they did with Anya this season. I don't think they'll kill her off in the finale. And yes there will be a lot of hate & honestly I feel bad I wouldn't want to see my favorites die. But first of all she's a guest actor.. there was always a higher chance of her leaving. Second of all she is going to be on twd spinoff and while I fully support the 100 should be having the same success as twd.. I highly doubt Alycia will bother juggling two projects. More importantly Lexa's death would honestly add really great conflict to several storylines. Not only would there be immediate issues with the alliance in terms of Indra's people but also of the 12 clans that could then become threats to the sky people. I enjoy her character for the most part. And would be sad to see her go but if when her death adds to the story I'm all for it.
I don't, I understand that. My comment was just about hoping that the votes weren't coming from an homophobic sentiment and I'm glad to hear that's not your case. I particularly think Clarke is a better match with Bellamy anyway, but the episode itself was pretty awesome.
So I hope that: 1- People aren't voting awful for just an homophobic sentiment. 2- People aren't overlooking how amazingly constructed the episode was just because something theats their shipping.
People can ship whatever they want, but I just hope they don't make the show only about shipping, because there is so much more
I agree with you saying strong women without a thing. Many people who did not ship Bellamy & Clarke used the argument that they wanted to see a heterosexual couple be equal leaders completely platonically. But I argue the same thing for Clarke & Lexa. It really isn't necessary especially considering the episode played out like some epic Romeo/Juliet romance novel was just so over done. Give me Clarke &Lexa passing the bechdel test on any given day. Give me them discussing leadership & hard decisions & survival. Which they did in this episode and that was great!!! But as soon as the waterworks started coming from Lexa and Clarke storming out of the tent only to look back dramatically I became confused about what I was watching.
What a great episode. I like how Clarke's bisexuality was introduced, and the Raven/Wick scenes. I was scared that Bellamy blew himself up, but was glad that he didn't! I am still intrigued by the City of Light. Can't wait for next week, but I really don't want the season to end.
Holy shitballs. This show is amazing. The City of Lghts here we come. I still see that kiss so random but whatever Clarke is bi but she is right, its not ime for any of that (im talking to you Raven). FUCK IM SO EXCITED FOR THOSE LAST TWO EPISODES! lhjadljfhadjklfhajklfhkajfhsd
We don't expect people to drop their ships. However, some Bad Apple Bellarke fans are being very loud and very persistent about their dissent it's disheartening, to say the least.
- First Flint/Thomas on Black Sails and now Clarke/Lexa (and for good measurement let's throw in Root/Shaw, Korra/Asami and Eric/Aaron as well). What I like the most about the reveal of Clarke's bisexuality is how it wasn't blown out of proportion and that the kiss was treated as a kiss between between two individuals, just like how it's supposed to be treated. It shouldn't be a big deal but sadly it is because for some reason a big part of society still assumes everyone is straight because that is what's considered normal but it isn't. Being straight isn't normal, it's common.
- Murphy's humor and Jaha's hope offer some nice contrast to what is happening on the rest of the show. I laughed out loud when the blabbermouth was blown to pieces by the landmine. If/When the City of Light is eventually found, I wonder how it'll connect to everything else. They can't have them seperated from everyone else for forever. Also, I'm excited to see what other techie stuff we'll get to see, now that a drone has been shown.
- All this talk from Clarke about wanting to keep Bellamy safe and the reactivation of the acid fog, I really thought he was going to sacrifice himself to stop it for good, so I'm glad he made it out alive.
- I appreaciated that Indra and Octavia figured out on their own that Clarke and Lexa knew about the missile strike. Octavia telling Clarke she's done with her reminded me of the question I've been asking myself for the past weeks: What happens once the Mountain Men are defeated? One of the great things of this shows is how wonderfully that have expanded their world and i can't wait to find out what else lies beyond these forests.
Someone mentioned that the actress isn't on for next season. I didn't bother to look the information up, though. But tbh, Lexa dying in the finale would do wonders for development. I always thought Lexa would die and Octavia would take her place.
Ok this was more than awesome! Clarke/Lexa was amazing, hot, twisted and somehow tende and even Lexa is a dark character that's what is making Clarke/Lexa so interesting for me (because I will never expect a "rainbowflowerrelationship" with those two) Bellamy is the best as is Octavia Wick is seriously fucking HOT (He was in season 1? how did I missed him???) Him and Raven were also hot but I guess Raven is still not over Finn (and it's normal) The next episode is going to be AMAZING
Sigh... not really sure what to think about this episode. It was extremely well paced and the 40 minutes flew by like five. Loved all things Bellamy, such a badass, such a devotion. Seriously my favorite character on TV right now. Loved all things Murphy and Jaha, the mines thing was typical The 100 - did not see it coming and it was deliciously brutal&gore. Can't wait for them to find the City of Light. I loved Clarke finally standing up to Lexa and questioning the "love is weakness" approach (totally saw it coming). But then they decided to throw in some romances... and an otherwise awesome episode kind of fell apart.
I honestly can't believe that so many people love what happened between Lexa and Clarke. What the hell is wrong with you people? Have we really reached a point where anything bisexual/homosexual is awesome because its oh so open-minded and hot, regardless of how much it DOESN'T fit the actual storyline? If everyone is so open minded and thinks it doesn't matter if they're male or female, why is everyone so excited they are two girls? (shouldn't matter, right?) If what matters is not a person's sex, but who that person is... then how the hell can anyone support Clarke falling for someone who: - made her kill the boy she loved - is responsible for death of around 40 (?) of her friends - would've killed Octavia without blinking and done that BEHIND Clarke's back even though they're supposed to be cooperating - talked her into letting the missile strike
I really hate this so much. Lexa having feelings for Clarke is fine with me, the other way around is just bad writing. And I'm not saying this because I root for Bellarke. I rooted for Bellarke through her relationship with Finn but I accepted it because Finn was a genuinely good guy. I cannot accept this.
Also, it was kind of annoying how everyone was just sitting around getting involved in romances while Bellamy was in there risking his life for the cause. Also, that Raven/Wick thing happened way too fast and like with Clexa, the timing was terrible.
2. I have nothing against gays or bisexual people, so hear my arguments before you start making nasty comments about me personally.
3. I don't get it/feet it. Since episode 1 Clarke not once showed any signs of being into girls. No feelings, no hesitation (when one likes someone but doesn't know how to approach the feeling), no attraction - NADA, and now out of the blue she's kissing Lexa and saying she's not ready to be in relatioship with anyone as if she was considering her.
4. Yes, Clarke has chemistry with Lexa but in non-sexual way. They are great as leaders and the camaraderie between them - loving it, but that's it. 5. The kiss itself was mechanical, as if they were not into it, in my opinion. 6. And come on, Lexa as a potential partner is so out there, who in their right mind would consider pairing Clarke with someone who is responsible for making her kill Finn?!
It's sort of rude to stereotype all Bellarkers that way. I ship Bellarke hardcore and I have no problem with Lexa or Clexa. I don't ship it but that doesn't mean I don't respect it. It's a little rude to generalize like that you know? Just saying.
You have said exactly how I feel. I ship couples that feel right and Clarke and Lexa in no world feel right. Two powerful women yes who can be friends in this intense world yes but potential partners NO; how to ruin a great storyline that they have been able to form this alliance amidst so much controversy in both sides.
Disclaimer: Although I ship Bellarke, my observations are based on what I've seen.
I agree with everything you said. Clarke wasn't/isn't romantically interested in Lexa.
I feel like Clarke was playing Lexa by saying she wasn't ready for a relationship with anyone yet because she needs to stall so she can still benefit from Lexa's power. If she can send Bellamy into Mt. Weather despite her fear for his safety, and let the Mountain People drop a bomb on a town that she thought Octavia and knew Kane was in, she can and will take advantage of Lexa's unrequited feelings to make sure everything she's done hasn't been for nothing.
I really liked this episode!! It was back up there with tension, anticipation and thrill! I feel Clarke may just have been trying to be polite with Lexa ... because as others have said, she hasn't really shown any signs of being bisexual till now, although she may very well be. At this point I don't think I even care about any shipping ... the story is getting so interesting, I want to see what happens next ... both with the war situation and the Jaha/John adventure! So glad it got Season 3 ... it may very well be the final one (but then didn't BaTB get renewed for s4? .. so there's hope!)
I also ship Bellarke but I based my opinion on all the episodes I've seen so far trying to be objective. I also believe that if Bellarke were to happen it need a little bit of time after Finn. Both characters of Clarke and Bellamy have a lot of potential to evolve more before Bellarke happens.
Absolutely agree. I think Clarke does need time before she has room for a romantic relationship...but that she tossed in the "anyone" part to let Lexa think she had a shot without explicitly saying she did.
Not a big fan of Clarke at the beginning of the show much less now. I don't like what they've done to her character and the fact that Lexa has been an awful influence to her. I also don't like the Lexa/Clarke pairing. And, no, I don't ship her with Bellamy or anyone else. My only ship on this show ever is Abby and Kane.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I can't believe there's only 2 episodes left.
ReplyDeleteMan that was beyond amazing.
Best tv show of CW hands down .
Keep up the good work cw..
Clarke is canonically bisexual and that is amazing, and now I ship her and Lexa. I love that the only problem is that she isn't ready yet, which is completely understandable.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh God, Jaha's so overdramatic about the City of Light. Chill.
Can't wait until next week!
Raven and Wick, Clarke and Lexa.....woah...too much chemistry to handle. Another great episode.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was excellent. And Bellamy taking out the acid tanks was so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI was really glad Clarke wasn't playing Lexa, and she didn't say never. She was truthful that she needed time. It was a great scene.
I ship Raven and Wicke. I think she was still upset over Finn there. But I think they make a good ship.
Octavia is just lucky that Clarke cared.
I think Jaha will find something, but I'm still not so sure it's the promised land.
Cannot wait till next week.
Just needed to share some of these beautiful cinematic shots :)
ReplyDeleteAlso heres so stuff if you wanted to know :)

This was the best episode ever!!! One word: Perfection
ReplyDeleteWhether you ship Clexa or not, I seriously doubt a kiss between two strong, beautiful women was an unpleasant one.
ReplyDeleteThey don’t label themselves.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen the episode yet, but I hope that people aren't voting awful just because it was discovered that she was bisexual. As a bisexual myself, I would be offended; there's nothing wrong with that
ReplyDeleteGod, I am so glad that there is an actual bisexual main character on a network television show. I don't even like Clarke and Lexa together, but damn I love me some representation.
ReplyDeleteSo many other things to talk about, but I am just elated right now.
Be still my beating heart! Canon bisexual Clarke Griffin; I might just cry of happiness.
ReplyDeleteI'm just really glad Lexa will probably die in the finale.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good episode, but they're just dragging things at this point. I'm tired of this storyline.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Wick and Raven finally growing closer was so adorable.
So Clarke's canonically bisexual
ReplyDeletethat's awesome.
that fact that is was with Lexa, not so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Raven/Wick/Bellamy team.
ReplyDeleteAlso, no matter how much I hate shipping, ship wars and illogical romance disrupting the war I'm trying to patiently wait for, I completely and wholeheartedly understand why those fans who ship Bellamy and Clarke feel disrespected and slapped in the face by the writers and mocked by the actors.
I agree, this show is perfect and so is everyone working on it :)
ReplyDeleteNo problem, I really love cinematic shots like these :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing episode. The Clarke and Lexa story in this episode so so beautiful and well done! I think they may be my favorite ship on the show. They have such great chemistry too!
ReplyDeleteNot surprised at all that Indra understand Lexa's decision not to warn anyone. She gets that this is war and they need to do what they have to in order to win.
Raven and Wick are so cute, but poor Raven isn't ready tet, just like Clarke. She made me cry.
The city of Light story is getting more interesting now. Cant wait to see what happends next.
Beautifully said! I agree with everything you stated.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome if it that the main character is bisexual? We rarely get to see that, and it's afirst for the CW. I never expected to like ClarkexLexa as muchas I do. They're fascinating together and sure had a lot of sexual tension in this episode.
ReplyDeletePoor Bellamy! He was literally on fire!
No, we are NOT owed Bellarke. The writers are going to tell their story and not give into fanservice. They're not disprespecting anyone by not making a couple canon. Plus you never know what will happen in the future.
ReplyDeleteWhy, because she threatens you ship?
ReplyDeletePretty sure some Bellarkes are voting it down.
ReplyDeleteYou have to realize that some people don't ship Clexa the same way they don't ship Flarke or Bellarke. I personally don't like Lexa as a character the same way I didn't like Finn. I am happy for their fandom but that doesn't mean I am not hurt and it doesn't mean I am homophobic.
ReplyDeleteI think it's pathetic that some people just click on this poll 'awful' even though they most likley haven't even seen the episode.
Agreed!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know where you see in my post that says we are owed anything.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading the communications between the writers/actors/fans and there has been disrespect on all three sides. That's what that comment is based on.
ReplyDeleteAn actual bisexual main character on a network television show..claps and claps!!! I'm not watching this show regularly, but this is awesome and a amazing representation, and Clarke being the main character makes everything more awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe show decided to display Clarke's sexuality not only at the wrong time.. but also with the wrong dialogue & with the wrong character.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same. I completely understand representation is important and it's fantastic that they Jason confirmed Clarke is bisexual / pointed out that gender doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteWhat doesn't make any sense to me is that Clarke would even consider being in a relationship with Lexa, after a) Lexa's involvement in Finn's death b) Her ordering Octavia to be killed two seconds earlier c) The fact she is constantly trying to manipulate Clarke (Am I the only one seeing that?).
ReplyDeleteANY other character and this would have been amazing I agree.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading on twitter too, and let's start by saying that some shippers (not all) are constantly annoying the actors, writers and producers with their ships. Some take it as a game, but I saw a tweet a few days ago from Bob Morley saying he doesn't care about any ship, that this is just a job to him, and some fans found that insulting. Why exaclty?
ReplyDeleteAnd even Eliza Taylor seems to be tired of being asked about shipping.
What I'm saying is, why don't keep the whole ship thing between the fans that are actually into that (I'm not one of them). Why do they keep trying to force the people who make the show into it?
Could be, they did that as well when Bellamy and Raven hooked up last season.
ReplyDeleteI just hope it isn't related to any homophobic sentiment, it would be a shame to see them here on spoilertv
Great episode. Loved the interaction between Bellamy, Wick and Raven. And Bellamy's first plan was the right one, just blow eveything up!
ReplyDeleteWick and Raven was ok, but with 2 episodes to go, I'm not sure it was the right time.
ReplyDeleteThis show is just taylor made for me; it has everything I could ever ask hope: complex human characters, it is well paced, usually fast paced, with incredible action and intrigue and great plot. Seriously, how is it that every week I fall more and more in love with this show? This is nearing Fringe levels.
ReplyDeleteBellamy had so many great scenes! And the march at the end... just wow. Not to mention that the city of light plot is getting increasingly interesting by the minute!
What a show, really, so well acted and scripted. It needs to be freaking recognized!
I'm with you. And I respect the ones who are respecful. Unfortunately the ones who aren't make the rest look bad.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, this is my interpretation to what Clarke meant when she told Lexa "not yet"
ReplyDeleteI agree, I loved Lexa's character when she was first introduced.
ReplyDeleteI understand the point made, but I think there has been a build up towards this during the past few episodes, in which Clarke came to understand why Lexa is doing what she does, and she herself has become a bit like Lexa by letting the missile strike.
ReplyDeleteShe's an emotional wreck as of right now and she can't tell what she wants or doesn't want, and I'm sure that while there's a part of her that feels something for Lexa, there's the other part, a more rational one, that knows it's not an option for all the points you smartly pointed out.
And attempted passivation of the acid fog ... oh, not that kind of chemistry ;)
ReplyDeleteNo complaints here. Well, maybe a little one with the kiss ended too soon, especially since the writers basically hit their sexual tension over the viewer's heads in this episode.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes it really great represantation is that if you were to describe Clarke, her sexual orientation wouldn't come up first; she's so complex and so layered that being bisexual is just a trait, it doesn't define her. And that's why it is so great :)
ReplyDeleteJason has continually stated that there is no time for romance while they are at war yet he managed to find time for Lexa and Clarke. Bellamy and Clarke have a relationship that has developed over two seasons and is founded on shared leadership and respect.
ReplyDeleteLexa and Clarke have a relationship that began with Lexa killing Clarke's first love and continued with Lexa almost killing Raven for something she didn't do, threatening to kill Octavia and constantly manipulating Clarke's opinion on what is right and wrong.
Romance... not so much
ReplyDeleteWOW, i thought the kiss would feel out of place but the writers managed to insert it into the story so naturally. It didn't seem too ... "shippy". Also, the cinematography in the desert was just amazing.
ReplyDeleteNot yet! lol nice bait Clarke. I liked them arguing this episode, it was fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteOctavia being angry is like wtf for me, she doesn't get it like Indra and Kane did.
I started seeing it in ep 10 the gorilla episode.
ReplyDeleteMaybe some of us just thought Finn was annoying.
ReplyDeleteThis episode was pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteI bet you every single person who coted awful is a bitter Bellarke shipper. They're asying how awful the episode was on twitter
ReplyDeleteYou're talking about Bellarke fans being disrespcted because Clexa happened.
ReplyDeleteClrke actually gave Muprhy a second chance and let him stay at camp when Bellamy wanted to kill him. Then he returned the favor by killing 2 of the kids and trying to kill Bell and Ravn.
ReplyDeleteDuh, but the majotiy of hate was form Bellarke shippers.
ReplyDeleteYep. Bellarkers are sadly being homophobic all over facebook, twitter, and tumblr.
ReplyDeleteWow what? They are so like early season 1 Bellarke it's not even funny. You know you just don't like it because you want Bellarke. I've seen your posts on twitter, it's obvious. Clarke is more amazing than ever in this episode. Saved Octavia, realized that love isn't weakness, we saw how much she cares for the Blake siblings, and she put Lexa in her place when it was needed. She owend this episode.
ReplyDeleteI don't see how showing she's bisexual could eve be displayed at the wrong time?
ReplyDeleteDont you dare to go that way.
ReplyDeleteit has for many nothing to do with a ship but with the character.
Might be but you get this with every poll that people just rate 'awful' for no reason.
ReplyDeletethey are not worse than those who just like the episode because of two females kissing.
ReplyDeleteThose who dont care about the characters but the gender.
Lexa basically forced Clarke to kill Finn, a guy she loved. Explain to me how Lexa and Clarke could ever :logically" be together after that? If you want to throw logic out the window, then this episode makes perfect sense.
ReplyDeleteI would have actually loved if this arc had happened with Anya.
ReplyDeleteRaven and Wick was adorable.
I can't wait for next two episodes.
ReplyDeleteI can totally buy that Clarke is fascinated and maybe even a little infatuated with Lexa but I'm not that much convinced that so soon (I guess it's no longer than 1-3 weeks) after what she came trough with killing Finn she has l it in her to kiss the woman linked so much to his death.
ReplyDeleteI liked Wick before but now they sold me on Wick/Raven, though I'm usually not very much into pairnigs.
ReplyDeleteOther:
I'm glad Octavia put it all together and in a twisted way I'm happy about the conflict between her and Clarke.
ReplyDeleteBut agree very proud of The CW, very adult relationships, Wick calling out on Raven.
Some shows should have a look how relationship dynamics and action can work so well together, without all the "drama"
No, silly, because the actress is on another show :)
ReplyDeleteI was actually sick of Finn halfway through season one. Didn't expect them to kill him though.
ReplyDeleteAnya or Lexa? I was all about Anya but I like Lexa a whole lot better now how about you?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree. The 100 ratings are not huge and it could be hit hard so it will be interesting to see how the writers go forward and if they kill off fan favourites,
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think romance is the weakest part of the show. Octavia/Lincoln are better this season (Jason seems to actually like them). But the rest are "meh". I actually dislike that Raven and Wick slept together because it cut any possibility of a slow development. It won't be the same after this.
ReplyDeleteAnya because she was brutal but she was honest.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy right now, 'cause of CLEXA. Such a power "couple". They are very different and very similar at the same time. They just complete each other (But the same applies to Bellark, too). But I'm rooting for CLEXA.
ReplyDeleteThe finale is gonna be EPIC. But there are just 2 episodes left and it will end with a huge cliffhanger, that's for sure. And then we have to wait too long for season 3. That will be a cruel withdrawal.
STANDING OVATION.
ReplyDeleteTHAT was my problem with it.
ReplyDeleteThe actress not being in the show anymore kind of makes all the hate from Clexa shippers funny. It'll be Flarke all of again I guess.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they will kill Lexa? Maybe she sacrifices herself to save her people/Clarke?
ReplyDeleteLooooove it. More plzzzz
ReplyDeleteI'm still like 5 episodes behind but I've heard the show has gotten even better than before, especially after last night's episode a lot people were shocked it was on The CW, I can't wait to catch up :)
ReplyDeleteGreat episode. I've always liked Octavian, but she's definitely becoming my favourite character on this show.
ReplyDeleteYes your right I am a Bellarke shipper.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling Alycia will be able to finish her role for a couple of episodes next season like they did with Anya this season.
ReplyDeleteI don't, I understand that. My comment was just about hoping that the votes weren't coming from an homophobic sentiment and I'm glad to hear that's not your case. I particularly think Clarke is a better match with Bellamy anyway, but the episode itself was pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteSo I hope that:
1- People aren't voting awful for just an homophobic sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great episode. I like how Clarke's bisexuality was introduced, and the Raven/Wick scenes. I was scared that Bellamy blew himself up, but was glad that he didn't! I am still intrigued by the City of Light. Can't wait for next week, but I really don't want the season to end.
ReplyDeleteHoly shitballs. This show is amazing. The City of Lghts here we come.
ReplyDeleteI still see that kiss so random but whatever Clarke is bi but she is right, its not ime for any of that (im talking to you Raven).
FUCK IM SO EXCITED FOR THOSE LAST TWO EPISODES!
lhjadljfhadjklfhajklfhkajfhsd
Monty/Jasper im seeing you! :*
ReplyDeleteI get they have a relationship sure, I just don't see it as romantic. But that is just me. But Im ship blind so whatever.
ReplyDeleteWe don't expect people to drop their ships. However, some Bad Apple Bellarke fans are being very loud and very persistent about their dissent it's disheartening, to say the least.
ReplyDelete- First Flint/Thomas on Black Sails and now Clarke/Lexa (and for good measurement let's throw in Root/Shaw, Korra/Asami and Eric/Aaron as well).
ReplyDelete- Murphy's humor and Jaha's hope offer some nice contrast to what is happening on the rest of the show.
ReplyDeleteWell put. From the start I was saying I liked Anya more than Lexa and now this opinion is even stronger.
ReplyDeleteDoes any of this have to do with the potential romance between Clarke and Lexa?
ReplyDeleteOk this was more than awesome!
ReplyDeleteClarke/Lexa was amazing, hot, twisted and somehow tende and even Lexa is a dark character that's what is making Clarke/Lexa so interesting for me (because I will never expect a "rainbowflowerrelationship" with those two)
Bellamy is the best as is Octavia
Wick is seriously fucking HOT (He was in season 1? how did I missed him???)
Him and Raven were also hot but I guess Raven is still not over Finn (and it's normal)
The next episode is going to be AMAZING
Ditto. My point is the writers were so blatant in this episode, maybe to justify the kiss.
ReplyDeleteI really hope Jaha doesn't return to Camp him with a god complex. He's already insufferable to me.
ReplyDeleteSigh... not really sure what to think about this episode.
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't believe that so many people love what happened between Lexa and Clarke. (shouldn't matter, right?) If what matters is not a person's sex, but who that person is... then how the hell can anyone support Clarke falling for someone who:
- made her kill the boy she loved
- is responsible for death of around 40 (?) of her friends
- would've killed Octavia without blinking and done that BEHIND Clarke's back even though they're supposed to be cooperating
- talked her into letting the missile strike
I really hate this so much. Lexa having feelings for Clarke is fine with me, the other way around is just bad writing. And I'm not saying this because I root for Bellarke. I rooted for Bellarke through her relationship with Finn but I accepted it because Finn was a genuinely good guy. I cannot accept this.
Also, it was kind of annoying how everyone was just sitting around getting involved in romances while Bellamy was in there risking his life for the cause. Also, that Raven/Wick thing happened way too fast and like with Clexa, the timing was terrible.
That episode was just amazing. Can't wait for the 2 hour season finale
ReplyDelete1. I LOVED the episode in general :D:D:D:D:D
ReplyDelete2.
How I feel about the Clarke-Alexa kiss: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYUdldNzLNA
ReplyDeleteIn short: Brutally honest. :D
ReplyDeleteHey hey, I ship Bellarke and I thought the episode was epic lol.
ReplyDeleteIt's sort of rude to stereotype all Bellarkers that way. I ship Bellarke hardcore and I have no problem with Lexa or Clexa. I don't ship it but that doesn't mean I don't respect it. It's a little rude to generalize like that you know? Just saying.
ReplyDeleteYou have said exactly how I feel. I ship couples that feel right and Clarke and Lexa in no world feel right. Two powerful women yes who can be friends in this intense world yes but potential partners NO; how to ruin a great storyline that they have been able to form this alliance amidst so much controversy in both sides.
ReplyDeleteDisclaimer: Although I ship Bellarke, my observations are based on what I've seen.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you said.
ReplyDeleteI feel Clarke may just have been trying to be polite with Lexa ... because as others have said, she hasn't really shown any signs of being bisexual till now, although she may very well be.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree. I think Clarke does need time before she has room for a romantic relationship...but that she tossed in the "anyone" part to let Lexa think she had a shot without explicitly saying she did.
ReplyDeleteNot a big fan of Clarke at the beginning of the show much less now. I don't like what they've done to her character and the fact that Lexa has been an awful influence to her. I also don't like the Lexa/Clarke pairing. And, no, I don't ship her with Bellamy or anyone else. My only ship on this show ever is Abby and Kane.
