Clarke telling her mom off was awesome Clarke is the heroine of this show but also think Abby is too it's just Abby need to stop thinking Clarke as a child and see she isn't one and that she can hold her own I just hope next week they succeed in getting everyone out of Mount Weather
To be fair, Abby is not wrong. It's just that I don't think she knows how bad things in Mount Weather truly are, Clarke does, and she understands how far she has to go to save her friends.
Well, this episode has drained me, not like Bellamy! But I'm exhausted. That's how good it was. And that's how good the show is, you can never be prepared, never know what's coming, and I love it!
My favorite Clarke bad-assery episode to date! She may be short on manners when she's demanding gates/doors be opened for her but I'll forgive it 'cause she's exactly THE PERSON to mastermind a successful attack against Mount Weather. All hail, Clarke!
The opening shots of Bellamy, Lincoln, and the other Grounders being quarantined by the Mountain Men broke my heart. That was pretty gruesome. And then you see Bellamy locked in the cage, helpless, and can't do anything just about wrecked me. I couldn't take it. I'm so glad he broke free of the cage and is now doing everything he can to free the rest of the Sky people. And holy shit at Jasper and Bellamy making eye contact through the window! They were SO close to reuniting with each other. Bellamy continues his journey to break his people out of Mt. Weather!
Jasper and Monty reuniting and watching them hug just about brought happy tears to my eyes. Yay, so happy Monty is safe. Jasper was going to do everything in his power to rescue his best friend and he did. And I kinda felt bad for Wallace when he got thrown into custody by his own son. That's gotta suck. Cage being the new Mt. Weather president is not gonna be good for our Sky people. They need to hurry the hell up and free the prisoners on Mt. Weather ASAP so they can fight back and take it down.
Damn, Octavia being all badass about to kill a Mountain Man! That's my girl. I love this new attitude she has. And woah! Clarke is a whole new person now that she is in charge and I love it. She was not backing down from Abby whatsoever. "If he dies, we die" Such a perfect statement from Clarke about Bellamy. I really believe that Bellamy is gonna achieve his mission. So excited for next week! Can't believe there are only 5 more episodes left of this fantastic show this season. It has been such a thrill ride so far!
Seriously we needed a Clarke vs her mom scene of telling her off. Glad we got it, cuz those ark elders do the stupidest shit.
Today most of it was in the Mountain, and it was not as blah as expected. Bellamy and Maya did good. They might even have characterized a Grounder that girl in the cell.
After the President locked the evil scientist bitch up and went to his son, I knew the title of the episode was going to happen. This way when the war starts the evil will be rid and possibly president will lead his people again under peace? might be to far to think about that but just wanted to leave that out there.
If Bellamy frees the grounders inside and his people its should basically be Game over for the inner people. not everyone has guns only the guards so, that makes what 50 people maybe? vs 47+ 100 or so grounders.
any who will see what they do. (-) negative comment.
So awesome: Anybody els felt a Dejavu when seehn Kane and Abby discuss torture, I had the impression even Clarke felt it. Who at S1E1 had thought that Bellamy would be the moral and conflicted one and Clarke would be the one to steel herself. Great episode. I have a pretty stron feelling Octavia and thus Indra will go on their own mission soon.
oh and btw it just happend: The 100 is starting do dethrone Arrow on my top list. First time I started with The 100 before watching Arrow.
Just awesome. The face-off scene between Clark and her mother was INTENSE. The daughter outgrew her mother for good. She's one of my Top 5 favourite characters on tv right now.
Abby you're a poor poor mother! Clarke deserved a smack over her face from the moment the episode started. She was/is way over her head, this will come back around to haunt her. Going rogue was fine while the adults didn't know what was going on but now her behavior is just ridicilous.
The 100 is my favorite show on TV right now. The acting is phenomenal and each week it just gets better-and-better. I'm soooo thrilled it was picked up for a third season.
I don't say Clarke isn't capable or anything like that. But still Abby let herself get played in a simple game of chicken! Do you think Clarke would allow a blood bath there? She just knew Abby would back down . I like Clarke but they are letting her do this stuff is quite pushy. Clarke is in a bad state, Finn just died and she is under a lot of pressure, she needs guidance and support but not letting every argument go her way. I think the writers are building up towards her mental break but still they should easy up a bit with it.
Clarke's theme song for this episode should have been Ludacris's "Move B*tch" because she was not backing down from anyone. I don't know how many more ways I can say that this show is amazing. It's so fast and action packed. They'll never let you get bored.
So this was the first episode I catched directly after catching the whole series up in a few days. Great episode, things are getting intense pretty quick. Interesting, both power shifts at Camp Jaha and in Mt. Weather. So much looking forward to the net episode. This should be exciting!
My thing about Clarke. I mean yes she was so completely badass and I love every second of it. But what I get from Clarke is.. remember when she yelled to Raven "what is my job" It's like Clarke cares about her people so much and especially those closest to her that she is willing to make the hard choices even if it means she must become more ruthless. She'll take the burden over her friends & family any day. She thinks... everything is going to shit & if no one is going to be making moves I guess I have to. I will do what needs to be done. & while some can argue that this is not the compassionate leader Clarke has always been... while yes we are seeing a different side of her. It's just one of her many sides & the compassion is still most definitely there (even for her mother). But so much shit has gone down for her and her people & this is heating up WAY more then the grounder attack ever did and she knows it. She knows if she does not step up and push aside her own feelings & insecurities then everyone will be in danger & the people she cares most about can get hurt. And this is why Clarke is such a fascinating & complex character. To the core she is the same young girl that fought for saving Jasper in the beginning of the season but she must go about things differently now that the stakes are higher. Great TV & great lead character. ANYWAY the episode was great. The Bellamy material was both heartbreaking & exciting. Thanks Maya for being cool! & that radio conversation.. Those two I mean talk about a team building off one another. You could actually see the fire being ignited in Clarke again just knowing Bellamy is okay.
So it is a teen show after all, Kane and Abby looked really old in this episode, as did the president. In season 1 not all was focused just on Clarke, but now with the Sky people on the ground it sadly is. I found the episode rather boring, because the plot was very predictable. Abby and Kane had so much spunk before, and now they don't have any ideas of their own?
Every week I say this episode was the best, they can't better that. And the next week I'm proven wrong.Unfortunately this show is so underrated, but I've the feeling that it's getting better and receiving more credit.
As always it was a great episode. I love the power shifts and I was surprised that Wallace actually has a heart. Who knew?! The relief seen on both Clarke and Bellamy when they finally established radio contact was showing how much they trust each other. May was another surprise to me. I have always thought she was shady but perhaps I was mistaken - only time will tell! Badass Clarke is fantastic. More please. Bellamy's line about killing everyone in the mountain to the grounder in the cage and then meeting Lovejoy's kid doesn't bode well for the future. The grounders have wanted to eradicate the Mountain Men for a long time and I think it might become a very bloody show down despite Clarke and her leadership. Well, now I have to wait another week for the next episode!
I save the best for last so always watch The 100 First. Tho last 2 weeks I skipped Arrow So I Can watch the painful episodes all at once which I did last night.
I actually like the direction she is headed. She is taking charge and finally becoming the leader we all know she can be. Part of that means making decisions that not everyone will agree with. Her facing off with Abby might have seemed a little harsh but Clarke has been rather cold to everyone throughout the entire episode.
I like Clarke and the direction she is taking but that doesn't have to mean that all the other characters have to kneel in front of her and her decisions. It is easy to be a leader when no one is questioning her or standing up to her. My critic was more directed towards Abby who as a mother should've tried to do better, not as the Chancellor but as the mother this distraught girl needs. Their dynamic is currently taking central stage and I expect for Abby to step up her game.
Abby hasn't been the best mother because she doesn't treat Clarke like she should be but it's a two way street. Raven stood up to Clarke who then dropped her facade and admitted to feeling helpless. It's interesting how Clarke doesn't show that same kind of vulnerability towards Abby or anyone, really. Yes, Clarke needs support and guidance but I also think part of her doesn't want those things from Abby. They have such a complex relationship and this power struggle has been a long time coming. I just hope it doesn't break their relationship entirely.
This show rocks. Each week I think it couldn't get better and next week I'm blown away even more. Was seriously worried about Bellamy glad that turned out not that bad. Abby has blinders on, she insisted on doing things her way cause she was the chancellor but she wasn't doing anything productive. Liking Kane better this season at least he has some sense. And Clarke is a badass along with Octavia.
Abby is the one she needs to realise that Clarke stoped being a child the moment her feet touched the ground, and that earth is brutal and decisions need to be made quickly and without sentiments - this isn't the ark, sooner Abby realise it the sooner she'll get her daugther back!
Abby doesn't threat Clarke as A child, she threats her as her child. But that has to stop that as well, and she should smack her over the face like stated previously. Clarke is playing a dangerous game and she played against Abby's fear, it payed of this time but doesn't mean it will the next.
This show simply rocks. I almost had a heart attack with all the Bellamy scenes, I was so worried. The tension, jeez. Bob Morley was awesome and oh, that final scene of Clarke vs. Abby. Pure gold.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Love how Bellemy gets all parental with little kids. He's had practice basically raising Octavia..bless him.
ReplyDeleteThis show just gets better and better.
ReplyDeleteClarke basically telling Abby to go screw herself was awesome and I love that she took charge like that. A+
ReplyDeleteSo intense, OMG. The torture scenes were hard to watch. So glad Bellamy is okay and Monty, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Clarke went up against her mother and won. Abby seriously needs to stand down.
I felt sorry for the President. I hope his son gets what he deserves.
Cannot wait to see how this all turns out. And the promo for next week is looking good, too.
Clarke telling her mom off was awesome Clarke is the heroine of this show but also think Abby is too it's just Abby need to stop thinking Clarke as a child and see she isn't one and that she can hold her own I just hope next week they succeed in getting everyone out of Mount Weather
ReplyDeleteSpectacular! One of the best of the series! Clarke and Bellamy were especially great in this episode.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, Abby is not wrong. It's just that I don't think she knows how bad things in Mount Weather truly are, Clarke does, and she understands how far she has to go to save her friends.
ReplyDeleteWell, this episode has drained me, not like Bellamy! But I'm exhausted.
ReplyDeleteThat's how good it was. And that's how good the show is, you can never be prepared, never know what's coming, and I love it!
The moment Jasper saw Bellamy was one of my favorites. Help is coming Jasper! And yes, Jasper and Monty's reunion too.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Clarke bad-assery episode to date! She may be short on manners when she's demanding gates/doors be opened for her but I'll forgive it 'cause she's exactly THE PERSON to mastermind a successful attack against Mount Weather. All hail, Clarke!
ReplyDeleteThe last 10 minutes were exceptional. Fantastic television. This episode was beautifully directed too. Next week looks to be another gem!
ReplyDeleteAs always, another awesome episode.

I love this show! Just simply the best thing that happened to television!
ReplyDeleteI disagree, Abby needs to stop treating Clarke like a child. She needs to realize that her daughter is far more capable than she believes.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 is my favorite show on TV right now. The acting is phenomenal and each week it just gets better-and-better. I'm soooo thrilled it was picked up for a third season.

ReplyDeleteIts the being the true leader effect. That always happens. Even with Jack in Lost.
ReplyDeletei really feel sorry for whoever not watching this amazing show .... they're missing out .
ReplyDeletewell the last episodes were not that bad but the plot is lacking a bit atm. So I feel much more suspense on The 100 and we get way less spoilers....
ReplyDeleteI actually like the direction she is headed. She is taking charge and finally becoming the leader we all know she can be. ReplyDeleteOMG is there a term beyond awesome???? If there is, please include it in the poll as an option!
ReplyDeleteJust watched it. Totally jazzed right now.
When they hung him like... I teared up. So hard to watch, the intro and the first scenes with Bellamy in the harvest chamber.
Glad they are all ok for now, more or less.
Brave Maya. And Jasper.
Loved the conversation between Clarke and Bellamy.
Great scene between Clarke and her mother!
What about Lincoln????????
