I agree to that! I was cheering for him (out loud mind you) different things like "GET HIM SAM GET HIM!!!" I wonder if JP's still not supposed to do a lot with his shoulder hence why he's 'rarely menacing' these days.
ReplyDeleteI voted "Other" for that scene as well. I feel like the show has been portraying Sam as a pathetic wimp for the past several episodes, so it was nice to see Sam be a little aggressive in that scene with the bartender. I didn't even know that Jared had apparently hurt his shoulder recently. Hopefully his shoulder will be completely healed soon, so they can stop making Sam come across as a total doormat.
ReplyDeleteI voted for "Other." I like the scene of Sam slamming that bartender's head down on the bar. Sam is so rarely menacing these days. That was nice to see.
ReplyDeleteDean liking Taylor swift at the end and when they were in the car talking about being a teen, 'it's up, it's down, it's up', LMAO.
ReplyDeleteJared was PERFECT in this episode!
ReplyDeleteI dont think its anything to do with Jared or his injury but more to do with Carver and the writers. They seem to constantly forget that Sam is a hunter, a very good one, can fight pretty well, is smart and is more than just there to stand around and look pretty and occassionaly react to whatever Dean's (and various friends of Dean) got going.
ReplyDeleteMore them one. Dean as a teen, so cool; Dean takes care of the witch. Those two are great together
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am glad I'm not alone in thinking that. I couldn't agree more that Sam has been portrayed as a wimp the past few episodes. In fact, I think he has been portrayed as pretty useless, weak, and ineffectual for most of the season. I'm not sure why that happened.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, Jared's shoulder has healed. Plus, I'm sure the stunt guy could thrown some punches and then they could do a close up of Sam getting harmed by the witch so Dean could save the day or whatever. Out of TWO villains, it's crazy, IMO, that Sam didn't take down ONE. Crazy!
It was a good scene for Sam. Even if JP's shoulder was still messed up, couldn't we see the stunt guy throwing punches, etc? I would think there would still be ways to show Sam handling business too . . . . so he doesn't come off as totally ineffectual and useless.
ReplyDeleteMaybe: Sam thanks Dean for pulling a Dean Winchester and tells him they'll figure it out. And Sam is speechless at Dean's return... LOL :P
ReplyDeleteYes, his all reactions to seeing teen!Dean and hearing his puberty dilemma and that Taylor Swift were awesome. Jared's shocked/WTH/come-again/speechless face is as amazing as his bitch-face. LOL!
ReplyDeletethe whole thing was amazing, but the capper for me was Shake It Off playing at the end of the episode. I didn't see that coming, and I especially didn't see Dean being ok listening to it as him old self hehe. It was a perfect ending to a perfect episode
ReplyDeleteThanks for adding that one - it was the next scene on my list!!! Loved it!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVED this episode....
ReplyDeleteI could not write Ta... Sw.... LOL! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe final scene with the Taylor Swift song was hilarious!!! And of course Dean's and Sam's facial expressions. They were priceless. :D
ReplyDeleteNothing beats that ending.
ReplyDeleteSpeechless Sam--JP was hilarious, without saying a word.
ReplyDeleteEnd of the ep. When Shake It Off was on radio and Dean left it. 😂
