I do interviews and write articles for the site in addition to reviewing a number of shows, including Supernatural, Arrow, Agents of Shield, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Forever, Defiance, Bitten, Glee, and a few others! Highlights of this past year include covering San Diego Comic Con as press and a set visit to Bitten. When I'm not writing about television shows, I'm often writing about entertainment and media law in my capacity as a legal scholar. I also work in theatre when the opportunity arises. Everyone hated this episode and I loved it. I think I viewed this episode as a "campy horror" piece rather then an episode played seriously. Supernatural tries to mix it up with a variety of types of episodes. Some work and some don't and people's opinions will always be mixed to some variant degree.
ReplyDeleteI rate this episode an 8/10 and had a lot of fun with it after expecting to hate it going off of the reviews and impressions I read. Fun campy episode!
This was a half decent filler episode. Very enjoyable! I really loved the end where Dean says "Saving people, that is my peace" He has been so dark this season, and so it was a very nice change to see that :) What is with the food addiction though??? I have been noticing that pretty much all season, and it gets worse, pretty much to gluttony levels now. Kind of odd for him.
ReplyDeleteRobanah I think a number of us are thinking its the Mark of Cain having an affecting on Dean. Anything he likes or doesn't exagerates it all muliplies it by a thousand.
ReplyDeleteJust because it's pissing the Tumblr crowd off, I'm gonna go with Dean checking out the coeds.
ReplyDeleteDean eating
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it too. Solid monster of the week episode, with some MOC stuff tossed in. Good old fashioned SPN episode. Lest we forget what these boys are, under all the drama and angst, they are monster hunters.., saving people hunting things, etc. this ep did well by that. Totally enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteOther -opening credits
ReplyDeleteDean tells Sam his peace is helping people. No doubts to me here :`) ♥
ReplyDeleteThe "It's a Gen-X thing" because I can totally relate. I'm a Gen-Xer (37) and a couple years ago I decided to go back to University. I have those days... often.
ReplyDeleteDean being Dean! Finally!!!
ReplyDeleteI chose "Other" again. I really liked the opening scene w/the kids in the truck. That was pretty creepy. I think it was the creepiest scene I've seen in SPN for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing, the opening was definitely a throwback.
