  1. While I am disappointed in how short it was after all that build up, hexenbiest fight was still my favorite scene. The most important was Juliette finally telling Nick the truth. Worst scene - the promos for next week with yet another pregnant Adalind storyline.

  2. Hexenbiest fight best scene

  3. And it will be even more worse (at least for me as a viewer) if it's Nick's baby.

  4. The Biest fight was awesome. Adalind's ass whooping felt cathartic.

Next best: Entire scene when Nick comes home, finds a calm Juliette nonchalantly describing Adalind's visit and the fact that she( Juliette) almost killed her followed by the reveal.

  5. I know that this is random but do we know why the actress that plays Juliette stopped colouring her hair red?

  6. I have no idea where they're going with this baby thing. If this is Nick's kid, maybe Adalind will use the child as leverage in some future baby swap scenario? I suppose if that happened you'd end up with a Nick/Kelly vs. Renard/Mom vs. Adalind/Royals situation.

  7. Don't know. Maybe you could ask her on Twitter. I have recently started following her twitter account and Bitsie Tulloch is hilarious.

  8. 100% agree. That will be worse than coma, love spell, and amnesia put together. And that was the worst so far.

  9. There are only two places where this story can go and neither are good - Soap Opera Land or Daytime Talk Showville. Just call up Maury Povitch now. Granted the only time I could stand Adalind was when she was pregnant but that doesn't mean I want to go there again. It feels like they are constantly having to stretch to even keep Adalind in the story. Her time is long past. Time to let her go.

  10. I waited all episode for it. Definitely the highlight of the episode for me too.

  11. If ony Juliette had killed Adalind. Then I would really celebrate that scene. I am thrilled that Nick is in the know now and I assume the rest of the gang will learn next episode.

  12. It seems she wanted to go back to her natural hair color.

  13. Completely agree with the first part.

As for Adalind, I have always felt that she brings a certain flavor to the show that keeps it interesting. But now, with this pregnant-again story line, I am beginning to question my support for her character.

  14. Agreed. I like Adalind but unless they can create an interesting arc for the character then there's no sense keeping her around.

  15. I cant wait for MonRosalee's reaction. It will be hilarious.

And down the line, three other characters - Bud, Trubel and Kelly.

  16. She was never even a character I loved to hate. She was intregal to the storyline at one point so I tolerated her because her character made sense. Now she feels like a hanger-on that needs to be pushed into the story and she's just taking up time from more interesting characters. I am a firm believer in the idea that the plot must drive the character and if the character is no longer useful to the plot then they need to go.

  17. It feels like they keep trying to fit her in but the only way they can do it is with ever more elaborate and frankly nonsensical ways. By this time the entire Royal storyline has worn itself out from lack of cohesion, only it can't die because it's the only place Adalind fits. I used to be pro-Royal plot but they've wasted it too and now it feels like both Adalind and the Royals plotline are there simply to fulfill a contract. It's easily to most boring thing about Grimm right now for me.

  18. Now I want to see Bud's reaction. That's going to be hilarious. I was jsut thinking Wu and Hank. Monroe and Rosalee will be sympathetic as always.

  19. Wasted is a good way to put it. There were so many interesting avenues to pursue with both Adalind and the Royals yet somehow Grimm chose none of them.

  20. Since Juliette's Hexenbiest reveal is one of the options, I'd like to chime in and say that I don't approve of the way Grimm is handling this so far.

I'll put aside Grimm's dragging the reveal out. We'll skip that. My objection lies in the lack of sense this all seems to make. Juliette's rationale for keeping mum (according to the promo) is that she was afraid Nick would kill her? Really? There is absolutely no evidence to back that up. None. Then there's Nick who seems (at least in the promo) to be freaking out a bit too much about this. Why? What's the big deal? Why would either of them act like this is the end of the world? In fact, after the initial shock, you'd think they'd both be grateful. The Wesen Council is putting hits out on Nick, they've both got the Royals and Adiland in their business every other week, they've got Hundjägers showing up all the time, plus there's all the local threats they deal with on a regular basis. It would stand to reason that having an uber-Biest on their side would be a good thing.

Honestly, as long as Juliette doesn't pull a Crypt Keeper in the sack, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

  21. I loved how Adalind was so surprised when Juliette fought back. I loved how Juliet is sitting on the couch after the fight with Adalind the same way after killing the manticore

  22. You took the words right out of my mouth. That part doesn't make sens.
This is even Nick's particularity as a Grimm. He does not chop the head of every wesen he cross path with. He is friend with a bunch of Wesen who don't all have a friendly woged face. Why would he axe his girlfriend? (Cf Juliet's dream, last week)
    Renard is even half Hexienbiest.
After a coma, a memory loss, an artificial attraction, what is one more little side effect, huh.

  23. Aside from the too short hexenbiest fight and Juliet finally telling, or rather showing nick her iner hexenbiest, Nick putting the water gun into the trailer amongst the more threatening weapons was ridiculously hilarious.

  24. As I've said before when her powers were taken away by Nick the first time, that should have been the end of her on Grimm.

  25. Juliette kicking Adalind's ass was great but the cinematography of the fight felt off in some places...I loved the knives, not so much the "speed the film up whenever one gets thrown across the room" part. Putting that aside, I had a Cheshire Cat sized smile on my face when Adalind tucked tail and ran from Juliette :-D Still makes me smile thinking about it.

Glad Juliette told Nick too but it seems that the writers just can't resist forced drama so we are getting the giant freak out from both sides next week. I will leave that annoyance right there until I see how it actually plays out. However, pregnant Adalind was the worst story line in the history of TV so a second pregnancy (especially if it is Nick's) is quite possible the one thing that would make me give up this show. Again, I will leave it to next week to see how it plays out. Grimm is notorious for using episode promos to misdirect.

Anywho...I actually voted for "Other" - when Wu suggested a bomb as the cover story and Nick and Hank were like "We like bomb" I actually laughed out loud! I am so happy that Wu is finally part of the gang and has managed to keep his sense of humor intact.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Wu makes everything better, isn't it ?

    ReplyDelete
  27. He does! I can't wait for his reaction to the Juliette news :-)

  28. I'm hoping they go for something completely different...or the least ridiculous option and she seduced Viktor off screen to get out of the dungeon. (Yes I know. I know.) My biggest problem with Adalind they shuffled her off to the other side of the world and a storyline that was too far apart from the spine of the show. I think the reason that the pregnancy story was so satisfying to me is that it moved her back onto the spine of the show. I'm hearing that the actress is pregnant and they're writing it in...I can't help but imagine a painful brainstorming meeting in coming up with a way write it in.

But *if* they do decide to make it Nick's baby....I can't help but wonder what Juliette thinks about the bargain.... she turns into Adalind to sleep with Nick she got....Nick power back and being turned into a Hexenbiest...Adalind got knocked up. What if it is, genetically, Nick and Juliette's baby...lol Sorry my mind wandered off on its own.

  29. Easy! That Hexenbiest Fight. It was what I was hoping for.

  30. Thanks for finding this.

  31. The Hexenbiest fight scene did not disappoint! Adalind's frustrated mini-tantrum in her car after running away from Juliette was icing on the cake. She's going to have another surprise in store when she realizes that Nick is still a Grimm! Had she been nicer to Renard, he might have given her the heads up!
There were also a few brief funny moments with Orson. Like the time when realizes that Hank and Renard know that he's Wesen.

  33. I have had issues with that entire plot since it first began with the headaches and visions etc.
    - When has letting some symptom be ever been a good thing?
    - Why were they not very concerned despite being warned there could be serious consequences?

It seems like this was introduced and hinted at in the beginning and then completely ignored so they could return to it and have more shock value.

  34. It's so difficult to buy into a plot like this when the show ignores logic and character history in order to create drama.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Hexenbiest fight was my favorite scenes, although to darn short, Adalind got the message however when Juliette whooped her butt, honorable mention of course when she revealed herself to Nick, I can also empathize with her, she Nick was not going to take it well, that's going to be a lot of drama within itself, darn it a whole month before we get this awesomeness back!!!!!
